Story : The Trip revolves around a brash youngster who gets hooked on drugs and is constantly chasing high everyday of his life. The addiction takes over his conscious decisions as he often finds the lines blurring between good and evil. Things take a turn when Gautham finds himself lost in the middle of a forest located somewhere in the remote landscape of Orissa to where he sets out to get his hands on the finest narcotics in the country. The consequences of all his life decisions finally catch up to him and how Gautham emerges a better man forms the crux of the movie.

Performances : Gautham delivers an earnest performance in his portrayal of a wayward youngster who is lost in his own miserable world. Aamani’s portrayal of Gautham’s mother makes you feel for her plight seeing her son suffer through his addiction. Shafi shines in his character and ties the whole movie together.

Turning Point : Gautham’s journey to the Maliguda forest is a major turning point in the movie and also the character’s arc. His mothers role in his rehabilitation is also one of the biggest turning points of the movie.

Highlights : Gautham’s performance is one of the major highlights as he carries the movie through till the end. The picturesque depiction of the wilderness is also a major highlight of the movie. The screenplay and writing are crisp, keeping the audience hooked throughout the run time.

Minus Points : The remaining supporting cast could have done better to keep the story engaging and do not add any substance to the movie. There are many minor twists in the movie which could have been avoided. The Background score could have been better to add an elevated essence to the movie.

Verdict : The first half sets up the plot all the while dealing with the downhill slope in Gautham’s life. The second half lags a bit with its slow paced narration. The Trip is a movie which compels the audience to introspect their lives and the decisions they make along the way. Story : 

Coming to Story The Trip Movid revolves arounds the  youngster who gets addicted on drugs and is constantly chasing high everyday of his life.  Which leads to take  uconscious decisions and he his mind  blurring between to find the difference  between good and evil  

Suddenly one day  Gautham finds himself lost in the middle of a forest located  in the remote landscape of Orissa then the story takes a turn 

What  all consequences he faced how he come out of all these and becomes a better man forms the rest of the story 

Performances :

Hero Gautham has done decent job his performance is good he has done perfect Justification for his role he has shown good Variation In his performance 

Aamani played as mother to Gautham her emotional scenes came out well even it will make us emotional Shafi played well  and justified his character 

Technical Aspects 

In this segment we must appreciate producers for their production values  Cinematography is neat and  a major highlight of the movie.  The screenplay and writing is brilliant and keeping the audience engaged throughout the run time.dialogues are good Editing is good Music is okay 

On whole Trip is a decent and different Attempt with new age concept even though it has some flaws it will not disappoint you give a try this weekend

Tollywood’s first interrogative movie, The Trial, hit the big screens today in Telugu states. Check out our review to know how the film is.

Roopa (Spandana Pilli), a policewoman in Hyderabad, encounters a heart-wrenching incident on her first wedding anniversary when her husband, Ajay (Yug Ram), accidentally falls from a building and passes away. Despite moving on, Ajay’s family reopens the case, accusing Roopa of murder. Rajeev (Vamsi Kotu) leads the investigation, uncovering surprising details about the couple’s life. What revelations emerge? Is Roopa innocent or a murderer? The movie unfolds the mysteries behind the unexpected death, shedding light on the ultimate truth.

Plus Points:

While audiences are familiar with interrogation scenes in films, The Trial distinguishes itself by primarily revolving around this element. As promoted, it is the first interrogative movie in Telugu. The respective scenes are meticulously designed to capture the audience’s attention.

Regarding performance, Spandana Palli deserves applause for her work in this movie. Her acting and mannerisms keep the audience guessing about her character until the end, and she effortlessly embodies the role.

Vamsi Kotu also delivers a satisfactory performance, and despite having minimal screen presence, Yug Ram adeptly fulfills the requirements of his character.

The cinematography and music contribute to the film’s richness, enhancing the overall quality. The revelations in the second half are poised to engage the viewers.

Minus Points:

The director, Raam Ganni, has a commendable intention, but he could have accelerated the pace in the first half to engage the audience better. The dialogues exchanged between Roopa and Rajeev could have been written more effectively to infuse more suspense into the story.

While Vamsi Kotu performs adequately, in some scenes, it feels like he takes unnecessary pauses while delivering dialogue, creating a sense that he may have forgotten his lines.

The first half is fine until the interrogation begins. Thereafter, the unfolding events become somewhat tedious, but the director limits it to the first half and carries the second half with a well-crafted screenplay.

A more strategic casting might have elevated the film, making it more accessible to a broader audience.

Technical Aspects:

As both a writer and director, Raam Ganni does an acceptable job. Allowing more space for creative yet engaging conversations. The screenplay in the first half could have transformed The Trial into an excellent viewing experience.

The movie benefits significantly from Sai Kumar Dara’s rich cinematography and Saravana Vasudevan’s score. Both elements contribute to making the movie a pleasing experience. A more concise edit in the first half could have enhanced the engagement factor of The Trial.

On the whole, The Trial is just an okay crime thriller with a praiseworthy performance from the lead actress Spandana Pilli, complemented by substantial technicalities such as cinematography and background score. Conversely, monotonous scenes, a slow-paced first half, and the lack of a strong conflict point are the main drawbacks. The Trial might find appreciation primarily among those who like crime thrillers.

‘The Trip’ Review: With This Gun, I Thee Shoot

In this Norwegian thriller on Netflix, a murderous couple get more bloodshed than they bargained for.

Most people don’t prepare for getaways with their spouses by buying a hammer, a hacksaw, duct tape and rope — but Lars (Aksel Hennie) is not most people, and “The Trip,” directed by Tommy Wirkola, is not most movies. Its initial premise is this: Lars has planned to murder his wife, Lisa (Noomi Rapace), during their holiday, but he’s thwarted when it turns out Lisa has been preparing to do away with him on the very same trip. Unfortunately, while that concept promises a fun, agile thriller, “The Trip” all too quickly descends into a juvenile, nihilistic mess.

Lars and Lisa’s mutual blood bath turns into a group affair when some unexpected outsiders, including the escaped convicts Dave (Christian Rubeck), Roy (Andre Eriksen) and Petter (Atle Antonsen), coincidentally join the fray. Each actor gamely tackles the ensuing violence and emotional turbulence, and Rapace is particularly excellent at juggling the two. The film reveals its many surprises through flashbacks, sharp editing and an absurd script clearly aiming for irreverence.

But “The Trip” upsets its own tenuous balance of darkness and drollery, grasping at tasteless material about genitals and poop, though its basic premise is much smarter — and perfectly delightful — on its own. Such artlessness turns what could be a quick, jaunty movie into a slog. By the end of a protracted attempted rape sequence, I was dismayed to discover that I was only halfway through its two-hour duration.

“The Trip” is occasionally fun, but other films have handled gleeful gore and psychological torture with a far more skillful touch. The film pays clear homage to Michael Haneke’s “Funny Games,” a whip-smart commentary on cinematic violence. It doesn’t do itself any favors by inviting that comparison.

Razakar: The Silent Genocide Of Hyderabad Movie Review: No Holds-Barred Expose Of Masked History

What’s Good: Tells us in a no-holds-barred manner about the way Hindus were tortured by a megalomaniac in the name of Islam. The film also has fabulous performances by Raj Arjun in particular as well as by Tej Sapru and Makrand Deshpande

What’s Bad: An avoidable ‘filmi’ touch merely to add masala entertainment elements, especially in the conception of songs and some clearly implausible stunts by the ‘good’ forces.

The real story is set around the time India got her Independence and some princely states had to be integrated into India. The Nizam then, Mir Osman Ali Khan ( Makrand Deshpande ) refuses to do so, preferring to keep Hyderabad intact and make it an Islamic state of his dreams. His militant and despotic lieutenant and general advisor, Kasim Rizvi (Raj Arjun), unleashes a frenzy of torture, brutality, murder, rape and conversions in different parts of the state against Hindus and against Marathi, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi as languages being taught—a genocide that few Indians today are even aware about.

As Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru keeps prevaricating, intoning about a treaty India has signed, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the original Iron Man of India and the Home Minister then, decides to take stringent action even as the Nizam plans to ally with Pakistan and other Islamic nations.

While the original Telugu script does not beat about the bush and shows the extreme levels of inhuman brutality shown by the militant ‘police’ (the Razakar), the Hindi lines also do complete justice to the saga of unbridled despotism out of religious fanaticism. Footage of sadism, unspeakable horrors and mayhem resorted to by the Razakar, again and again, take up most of the film’s long length while an ageing Nizam struggles to retain his royal status out of a misguided sense of power and authority.

The dialogues are chilling, and so are the situations. And the non-fanatic and righteously secular (a term not employed then!!) and nationalistic Muslims are also given the same treatment as the helpless and hapless Hindu folks by these fanatical forces.

If there is one actor who dazzles here, it is Raj Arjun, a man who played the evil stepfather in Secret Superstar with the same ease and aplomb as his portrayal of Shirdi Sai Baba in the web series we saw some years ago. As Rizvi, he comes across as so malevolent and tyrannical that this must be one of the most horrendous of the real-life villains we have seen so far in Hindi cinema. I can only salute him for his expressions, the way he rages, roars and otherwise modulates his voice. And his expressions and the manic look in his eyes in close-ups are simply out of this world.

Tej Sapru is excellent as the determined Sardar Patel in a performance that is as much subdued as it is intense. Makrand Deshpande brings to life the erring Nizam, who sees the light too late but cannot be punished for the genocide he sanctioned. The character of K.M. Munshi, popularly known by his pen name Ghanshyam Vyas, an Indian independence movement activist, politician and writer from Gujarat and the founder of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, is evocatively brought out by veteran South actor Thalaivasal Vijay.

As the film is so stark and graphic about everything, the characters are all perfect for the parts, and among them, Annusriya Tripathi as one of Mir Osman Ali Khan’s wives, Vedhika as Shanthavva and Bobby Simha as Rajireddy stand out. The issue here is that all have got limited to even less (!) footage, but they all still shine in the roles given.

Director Yata Satyanarayana goes all out in his passionate zeal to expose (as in The Kashmir Files, The Kerala Story and Bastar: A Naxal Story) truths hidden from all or most of the nation out of vested interests. A present Censor rule is that whatever is depicted on screen must be backed by documented facts, and clearly the depiction must be authenticated. It is horrifying how the Indian powers then distorted even relatively contemporary history out of pure malicious intent.

The film is very candid in its exhibition of reality, and while the gore may put off a section of the audience (word-of-mouth is always vital for a film’s box-office standing), I must congratulate the director, who has also co-written the script, for showing things as they were.

That said, mention must be made of the needless dramatization that elongates the film, so to speak. The dance invoking the Goddess Durga and another rousing song not only slow down the pace but also seem clearly inspired by S.S. Rajamouli! One song, contextually, is very similar to the classic Kumuram Bheemodu from RRR! The background score is also an inspiration, as are the end-credits. Then there are some action sequences akin to normal films in which the lead actors take on multiple antagonists all at once! The director should have steered clear of such needless add-ons to a terrifying saga, which, unlike the fictional RRR or the Bahubali franchise, is totally real.

The music per se is alright, ditto the fitted Hindi lyrics.

Such films, sadly, in our country, are labelled as ‘propaganda’ films, even more so as the election season is on. But the truth will always be the truth, and in any case, films always work because of their resonance with the viewer.

Three and a half stars!

The author of this review himself gave away the purpose of this film. No matter what, it’s crystal clear that this is a propaganda movie releasing in the midst of elections and with ulterior motives. This movie is a fiction of BJP minded sadists imagination. Even if it was 1% true, it would have been highlighted a 1000 times by BJP in it’s 10 years rule.

Lol…so if Muslims are shown as Evil then its propoganda and if they shown as victims then its true. Doesn’t matter we will watch the movie and help BJP.

Bro, how is history a propaganda? Looking st your name I can understand that thus might be hard for you to digest.. but it’s history not myth.

Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu First Teaser Revealed

The long-awaited moment has arrived as Pawan Kalyan ‘s much-anticipated movie, Hari Hara Veera Mallu , unveils its first teaser recently. Excitement among the audience is high as they eagerly await to see Pawan Kalyan as a legendary warrior. Adding to the buzz, it has been revealed that Hari Hara Veera Mallu will have its sequel.

Recently, the makers released a one-minute and thirty-seven-second teaser titled “Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 1: Sword vs Spirit.” Additionally, they have also shared a teaser on their social media handles with the caption , “A Lone Warrior Wages a War for Justice #HariHaraVeeraMallu – Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit Teaser out now – In Cinemas ~ 2024.”

The teaser opens with scenes depicting the plight of villagers under the atrocities of Mughal emperorAurangzeb. As the trailer progresses, the narrator sets the context, stating , “When the king loots us, the Golconda Nawab loots king. Thereafter, the Nawab is looted by the Mughal emperor.”

Subsequently, the makers introduce Bobby Deol as the Mughal ruler and Pawan Kalyan as the legendary warrior fighting for justice.

The teaser showcases a fierce battle between a legendary warrior and an imperial ruler, symbolizing the clash of Spirit and Sword (representing Dharma vs Yudh). Notably, the film is set to be released in two parts, though the title of the second part has yet to be revealed. While the makers have slated the first part to hit theaters in December 2024, fans eagerly await further updates on the release date.

The film’s production began in September 2020, primarily in Hyderabad. However, Hari Hara Veera Mallu faced multiple postponements due to the pandemic and the lead actor’s political commitments. Reportedly, director Krish Jagarlamudi has exited the film, with Jyothi Krishna stepping in to complete the remaining portions and post-production. The film features a stellar cast alongside Pawan Kalyan, including Nidhhi Agerwal, Bobby Deol, Nassar, Sunil, Raghubabu, Subbaraju, and Nora Fatehi.
