Bruce Springsteen Postpones Remaining 2023 Tour Dates

A statement on the musician’s social media said he is continuing to recover from peptic ulcer disease, and will resume shows in 2024.

Bruce Springsteen has postponed the remaining dates of his tour this year with the E Street Band while he continues to recover from peptic ulcer disease, a few weeks after he postponed eight shows for the same reason.

In a statement posted to social media on Wednesday, Springsteen — who turned 74 last week — said that 14 more dates for the remainder of 2023, across Canada and in Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco and the Los Angeles area, would be postponed “on doctor’s advice,” and that the dates would be rescheduled for next year. In all, Springsteen postponed 22 shows because of his illness.

“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support,” Springsteen said in the statement. “I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Springsteen’s latest tour is his first with the E Street Band since 2017, and has been on the road since February. After opening in Tampa, Fla., and making a first pass around the United States, it has been through Britain and Europe, including multiple shows in Italy, Germany, Sweden and Ireland. The tour returned to the United States briefly in August and early September before its previous postponement.

Drake and J. Cole Postpone 'It's All a Blur Tour — Big as the What?': See the Rescheduled Dates

The two rappers announced the co-headlining tour in November 2023

Astrida Valigorsky/WireImage

Some fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer to see Drake and J. Cole in concert.

Drake's upcoming It's All a Blur Tour — Big as the What? with J. Cole has been postponed, and several of its dates have been rescheduled, according to Ticketmaster . Originally set to begin on Jan. 18 in Denver, the tour will now kick off on Feb. 2 in Tampa, Florida.

Neither the "Hotline Bling" rapper, 37, nor the Dreamville founder, 38, made a formal announcement about the tour's postponement or any rescheduled dates. Reps for the rappers did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Prince Williams/Wireimage

It's All a Blur Tour — Big as the What? marks the latest iteration of Drake's ongoing concerts, following his initial 2023 It's All a Blur Tour, which featured 50 sold-out arena dates with his  Her Loss  collaborator  21 Savage . Cole previously toured arenas in 2021 on his The Off-Season Tour alongside 21 Savage as well.

Drake and Cole's collaborative relationship dates back years — with popular collaborations including 2011's "In the Morning" and 2013's "Jodeci Freestyle" (which later appeared on Drake's 2019  Care Package  project).

Recently, Drake and Cole have made various appearances at each other's concerts as surprise guests. Cole surprised Drake's It's All a Blur crowd in  Montreal in July , Drake did the same at Cole's Dreamville Festival in April, and the pair later reunited in Toronto when Cole  appeared on stage to perform  the recent collaboration "First Person Shooter" with Drake in October, shortly after the release of his latest album,  For All the Dogs .

'It's All a Blur Tour — Big as the What?' won't be the first time Drake and J. Cole have hit the road together. The North Carolina rapper previously opened for Drizzy during the second North American leg of his 2012 Club Paradise Tour.

Aerosmith has pushed their 2023 tour to next year after Steven Tyler suffered an injury that led to “ bleeding vocal cords ,” and has now been revealed to be “more serious than initially thought.”

In a statement shared on social media , the band said Tyler’s doctor “he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care,” adding that he is receiving the best medical treatment available “but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”

Popular on Variety

The band said new dates will be “announced as soon as we know more.” All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new concerts, and refunds will also be available to those who can’t attend the unannounced new dates.

Tyler also issued a personal statement, writing: “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can! – Love, Steven.”

Bruce Springsteen was also similarly forced to push back all of his September shows due to his struggling with peptic ulcer disease. Reps said that Springsteen is on the mend with ongoing treatment, and that all the dates for the tour — which originally were to wrap up in mid-December — were being postponed “out of to an abundance of caution.”

The only concerts Springsteen has on the lineup at the moment are a slate of makeup shows in Philadelphia next August, while Aerosmith fans will have to wait for further confirmation on the band’s return.

Playboi Carti postpones US leg of Antagonist Tour to 2024 a week before launch

tour dates postponed

Playboi Carti fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the rapper in the USA.

The Grammy-nominated rapper announced Thursday that the U.S. leg of his upcoming Antagonist Tour, originally scheduled to kick off Sept. 6 in Denver , will be postponed to 2024, according to a press release.

Instead, the tour – Carti's first headlining act since 2021 – will begin with its European leg in Dublin on Nov. 19. The tour will visit major cities such as London, Amsterdam, Milan, Berlin and Paris before wrapping in Copenhagen, Denmark, in December.

The rescheduled U.S. leg of the tour is set to commence in Salt Lake City in January. The "Whole Lotta Red" emcee will perform in various cities including Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles. The tour is scheduled to conclude with a show at Indianapolis' Gainbridge Fieldhouse on an undisclosed date.

The cause of the U.S. tour's postponement was not disclosed.

USA TODAY has reached out to Playboi Carti's representatives for comment.

Playboi Carti, born Jordan Carter, made a splash in the hip-hop scene with the release of the song “Magnolia,” taken from his self-titled debut mixtape in 2017. The album debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart and went on to amass nearly 6 billion streams.

The rapper released his debut album "Die Lit," featuring A-list collaborations with Nicki Minaj , Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert, in May 2018. The album has garnered nearly 7 billion global streams to date.

Playboi Carti's latest album, "Whole Lotta Red," was released in December 2020 and received 160 million global streams within its first week.

Playboi Carti has already hit the stage several times this year, headlining festivals such as Rolling Loud California and Miami, Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash and Wireless Festival.

U.S. Tour Update

It’s with a heavy heart that I must announce that the April/May USA tour will not go on as planned. We’re diligently working to reschedule all the show dates, and I ask for your patience during this time. You all know my greatest desire is to perform live for you.

So please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the new dates, which we will share as soon as possible.

As many of you know, I’ve been struggling to stabilize my mental health treatment. It’s been a challenging journey, but I want you to know that I’m giving it my all to be able to tour without incident, and with the support of my new medical team, together we believe that I am on the right path, and I’m asking for your understanding and a bit more patience.

Living with mental health issues, especially bipolar disorder, is a constant battle. My greatest fear would be embarking on the April/May tour only to have to cut it short due to my health.

To those who may feel let down, please accept my sincerest apologies. I promise you that I’m undergoing intensive treatment and therapy to get back to touring by the summer.

Thank you for your unwavering support and understanding. Let’s look forward to the days ahead when we can share the magic of live music once again.

With love and gratitude,

Playboi Carti’s Originally Rescheduled Tour Dates Are Now ‘TBD’ Online

By Tomás Mier

Is Playboi Carti postponing his Antagonist tour … again?

As of last week, Carti was slated to commence his tour across North America beginning on Jan. 14 in Salt Lake City — but on Monday, Rolling Stone confirmed the run of shows for his scheduled tour were now marked as “TBD” on both Carti’s website and on Ticketmaster where tickets are still available for purchase.

Neither reps for Playboi Carti nor his openers Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely immediately responded to Rolling Stone ‘s requests for comment on the changing of the tour dates.

It’s unclear whether Carti will still hit the road, but he was set to perform through North America throughout late January and February, with stops in cities including New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Seattle.

The confusion surrounding his tour dates comes five months after the musician postponed his shows from fall 2023 to winter and spring 2024.

Last week, he officially released “ Backr00ms ” alongside Travis Scott alongside a lo-fi video. When asked by  XXL  last year what he’d name his upcoming record last spring, he responded: “ Music  because that’s all it is at this point.”

RBC Heritage: Final round suspended due to darkness, Monday finish underway at Harbour Town

Change Text Size

Updated: Monday, April 22, 8 a.m. ET: The final round of the RBC Heritage resumed at 8 a.m. ET.

Scheffler, chasing his fourth PGA TOUR win in five starts, authored a signature moment in the waning twilight Sunday, recovering from a hooked 4-iron second shot on the par-4 15th with a sorcerous wedge to 11 feet that he converted for an unlikely par to maintain a five-stroke lead over Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, J.T. Poston and Sahith Theegala.

Scheffler, chasing his fourth PGA TOUR win in five starts, stood 20 under for the tournament as the final round was suspended due to darkness at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, with nine players yet to complete the final round on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

This will be the second unscheduled Monday finish on the PGA TOUR this season and first since the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, won by Austin Eckroat. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, won by Wyndham Clark, was shortened to 54 holes after play was unable to be contested on Sunday and Monday.

Sunday’s play at Harbour Town was initially suspended at 4:28 p.m. due to lightning in the area. The final pairing of Scheffler and Sepp Straka had completed 11 holes at the time. Players were removed from the course, with the delay ultimately lasting 2 hours and 32 minutes before play resumed at 7 p.m.

Updated: Sunday, April 21, 5:28 p.m. ET: The final round of the RBC Heritage is scheduled to resume at 6 p.m. ET.

Updated: Sunday, April 21, 4:28 p.m. ET: The RBC Heritage’s final round has been suspended due to lightning in the area, with the final groups playing the back nine Sunday at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Play was suspended at 4:28 p.m. local time, with leader Scottie Scheffler playing the 12th hole. Players were taken off the course at the time of suspension.

Scheffler began the final round at 16 under, one stroke clear of Sepp Straka, and the world No. 1 turned in 3-under 33 with a chip-in eagle at the par-5 second, a two-putt birdie at the par-5 fifth and seven pars. Scheffler stood 19 under, four strokes clear of the field at the time of delay. Seven players stood 15 under.

“We were hoping to play through this; we felt like we had another 25 minutes left of this heavy rain and were then going to get a break on the back end,” said Mark Dusbabek, the PGA TOUR’s senior director lead TV Rules & Video Analyst, on the CBS broadcast. “We had lightning unfortunately pop up 4 miles away; just suddenly caught us in, so we had to stop play for this. We’re going to see how things go here and make a decision.

"The course was not unplayable. It wasn't because of the rain. It was just because the lightning popped up."

The final round of the RBC Heritage is poised to deliver fans a fantastic finish, but that might not come without a little bit of weather late in the day.

After the first three rounds of tournament golf at Harbour Town Golf Links were accompanied by sunshine and temperatures ranging from the upper 70s into the mid-80s, Sunday could bring golfers a different challenge to navigate as the tournament comes to a close.

According to the forecast, a cold front will be slowly moving southward into the Hilton Head Island area on Sunday, increasing the chances for showers and a few thunderstorms as play gets into the early to mid-afternoon hours and continuing into the evening hours. Storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Otherwise, Sunday morning will remain dry with temperatures warming into the mid to upper 70s before falling into the 60s late in the day. Light wind Sunday morning will increase out of the north 10-15 gusting to 20-25 mph late in the day.

The final pairing of the day, Scottie Scheffler and Sepp Straka, are set to tee off at 1:55 p.m. ET. Scheffler holds a one-stroke lead at 16-under.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd’s postponed tour of Australia is now canceled and ticket owners will be refunded.

The Canadian R&B superstar had initially scheduled an 11-date stadium tour of Australia and New Zealand, winding its way across both countries last November and December.

“The Weeknd ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ for Australia & New Zealand is still in process of being rescheduled,” reads a statement from LN, seen by Billboard . “Whilst we continue to work through the rescheduling process with the artist, tickets for the existing 2023 tour will be cancelled with all ticket holders receiving a full refund accordingly.”

Ticket holders of the The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ shows who previously held on to their tickets will be able to access a priority purchase window for the new tour in Australia and New Zealand when announced, the message reads, linking to a priority waitlist . All current ticket holders will receive an automatic refund.

The tour was originally announced last August with just four shows, visiting each of Australia’s big three east coast cities — Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane — and including a single date in Auckland, NZ.

Additional dates were added last September , boosting the itinerary to 11 across both markets.

The Weeknd’s tour is scrapped as Australia’s festivals market navigates turbulent waters. In recent weeks, the 2024 editions of Splendour in the Grass, Mona Foma, and Groovin The Moo, with soft ticket sales playing a part in each story.

The inaugural Soundcheck report, published by Creative Australia, found the climate for operating a festival was a “highly complex” one, with event organizers challenged with myriad issues, from rapidly increasing costs, changing ticket buying behavior and more.

In the U.S., he has landed seven No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 and four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.

On Australia’s ARIA Albums Chart, published last Friday, April 19 , the Weeknd’s hits collection The Highlights lifts 8-4 in its 167th week on the tally. It’s triple-platinum certified in Australia.
