Why travel with intrepid.
Bucket list itineraries
Sure, you can travel to India to see the Taj Mahal, but we like to share a laugh with a local chai wallah in the market while we’re at it. Our trips include loads of big-ticket attractions as well as plenty of unique and unexpected experiences you can only have with a local guide.
Legendary leaders
The best folks to show you around are the ones who live there. Our local leaders know these destinations like an old friend, so get ready to eat at the best street food joints, get to know the culture in depth and experience things you wouldn’t be able to on your own.
Creating positive change
We're on a mission to create positive change through the joy of travel. That’s why all our trips are carbon offset, and we give back to the communities we visit with the help of The Intrepid Foundation. When you travel with us, you travel with purpose.
Small groups
With an average group size of 10 people, our groups are big enough to create a good vibe but small enough to blend in with the locals. Whether you’re travelling solo or with mates, you’ll really get to know your group and will never be stuck for someone to grab a drink with.
Great value
Want big-time experiences without the big-time price tag? Our 18 to 35s travel style means staying in simple, well-located accommodation, taking local transport and enjoying tasty local food. This way, you choose where your spending money goes.
We’re committed to ensuring our trips are safe for everyone, including our travellers, our leaders, our crew and the people we visit along the way. That’s why we’re always up to date with world events and changes. Rest easy – you’ll be well taken care of.
Highlights of our 18 to 35s trips
Venture through Vietnam
From the old-world streets of Hanoi to the bustling Ho Chi Minh City – and all the temples, motorbikes and banh mi in between – adventures await in Vietnam. On this epic 11-day adventure from north to south, we’ll get you chomping and slurping pho-nomenal food, kayaking around Cat Ba island (away from the tourists), cycling through ride paddies and crossing hectic Vietnamese roads like a local in no time.
Munch your way through Mexico
Discover the real Mexico on an overland adventure from the sprawling metropolis of Mexico City to the white sand beaches and underground caverns of Playa del Carmen. Fill your belly with regional specialties in the foodie capital of Oaxaca (think everything from spicy mole to lime grasshoppers), uncover Mayan mysteries at Chichen Itza and swim in the dreamy Agua Azul waterfall.
Dive into India
Tick off the highlights of two iconic South Asian countries as you travel from lively Delhi to the patchouli-scented Kathmandu. Fall in love with the Taj Mahal, sail along the Ganges in the holy city of Varanasi, search for rhinos on a Chitwan Jungle safari and explore the remarkable Amber Fort in Jaipur – all that (and then some) in just 13 days.
See the best bits of Bali
There’s more to Bali than beaches and Bintang – though there'll be plenty of time to kick back with a cold one. Experience the highlights and hidden gems of Bali as you visit holy water temples, hike up the iconic Mt Batur volcano for sunrise, snorkel with sea turtles and dance in the golden hour glow of Seminyak's snazzy beach clubs.
Journey into Morocco
Get an authentic taste of Morocco as you travel through the High Atlas Mountains, the cultural capital of Fes and the chaotic medinas of Marrakesh. Sleep under the stars in a desert camp in the Sahara, meet nomadic shepherds at a traditional Berber village and learn the ancient art of mint tea making at a community-run teahouse that supports local women.
Discover the heart of Europe
Ticking off European favorites including Berlin, Krakow, Prague and Budapest, this is the Central Europe trip you’ve dreamed about. Enjoy dinners in busy medieval squares, explore stunning hilltop castles and sleep in ridiculously Instagrammable towns that look like they belong in a fairy tale.
18 to 35s trip reviews
Is every trip guaranteed to run.
Our trips are guaranteed to depart once they have one fully paid customer, unless the minimum group size listed in the Essential Trip Information and/or Special Conditions state otherwise.
Do you cater for food allergies/dietary requirements?
We’ll try our very hardest to accommodate all dietary requirements, but it can be difficult to guarantee in some out-of-the-way places. We'll let you know if there are places on your itinerary where this is the case. Please let us know your dietary requirements at the time of booking and we’ll pass the information on to your leader.
What’s the standard of accommodation on an 18 to35s trip?
You’ll be staying in simple, well-located accommodation with shared amenities, though it's common for rooms to be ensuite. Rooming is organized on a twin-share basis. We pair up solo travelers with another traveler of the same gender as per the gender marker on each of their passports.
If your gender identity differs from what is indicated on your passport, please contact us so that we can discuss rooming options with you. If you'd like your own space, most of our trips also have the option to pay a fee for an individual room.
Will the accommodation have wi-fi?
Most hotels, cafes and bars have wi-fi, especially in big cities and towns. In remote places (like the Sahara and the Amazon Rainforest) or on treks or homestays, you won’t be able to access Wi-Fi or mobile data as easily. Your leader will give you a heads-up beforehand so you can call home or send a quick WhatsApp.
Your leader can also help you buy a local SIM card if you'd like to stay connected.
Do I need to purchase travel insurance?
You sure do. Travel insurance is compulsory on all our trips if you’re traveling internationally. Your leader will take down your insurance details on the first day in case they are needed during the trip, so make sure to bring your policy documents.
Learn more about travel insurance .
Do I need any travel vaccinations?
Vaccination requirements differ depending on the destination, and as we’re not medical practitioners, unfortunately we can't advise on this issue. Please see your local GP or travel doctor for details and advice about current vaccination requirements.
Learn more about entry and health requirements for the destination(s) you’ll be visiting .
Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine to join an 18 to 35s trip?
Trips from 1 January 2023 onwards
From 1 January 2023, Intrepid will no longer require travelers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (excluding all Polar trips and select adventure cruises).
However, we continue to strongly recommend that all Intrepid travelers and leaders get vaccinated to protect themselves and others.
Specific proof of testing or vaccination may still be required by your destination or airline. Please ensure you check travel and entry requirements carefully.

Meet our local leaders
"When you travel with me we'll be hanging out with the locals, tucking into the best street food and trying to master Vietnamese pronunciation (FYI, it's hard!). Whatever we do, we'll laugh a lot and make amazing memories together. Pack your best smile and count on me for the rest – I'll be your local buddy."
- Nhi Pham, Vietnam
“It will be a pleasure to share our traditions and beliefs, take you to the most amazing sites and, most importantly, interact with the locals! Get ready for a behind-the-scenes tour where we’ll visit hole-in-the-wall restaurants and find the best picarones (Andean doughnuts) *chef’s kiss. I’ll be waiting for you here, in my beloved Peru.
- Paul Garrido, Peru
"You might come to Vietnam for the beautiful scenery, but you'll stay for the friendly people! I love introducing travellers to locals and having a chit-chat, going on spontaneous walks to explore the hidden spots and sharing stories to keep our beautiful culture alive."
- Huyen Nguyen, Vietnam
Travel for good
We strive to use travel as a force for good. That's why every Intrepid trip is aligned with a relevant partner through The Intrepid Foundation and a donation is given for every trip booked. You can see which partner is aligned with a trip in the Essential Trip Information under ‘The Intrepid Foundation’.
Learn more about The Intrepid Foundation
We've got trips to suit every adventurer – no matter your budget, interests or travel style. If you can't travel on an 18 to 35s trip, you can always book a seat on one of our other trips, which are open to all ages!

"Our family had an amazing time with Realistic Asia’s package. The tour was very suitable for my family, which included children since we loved trekking. We enjoyed the stunning views, and the trek was at an easy pace for our kids. The tour guides and the staff are very professional and enthusiastic. I was very impressed with their attitude. We were very happy with the service and the places we have been to."

"Did the Jordan Essential Tour, it was absolutely amazing. This was my first Group Travel Tour and I loved it. I was worried about being the oldest one on the tour (I’m 34), but it was a good mix of ages. It was incredible to travel with people of different nationalities. Our Tour guide Issa was great. At all times he was really helpful. Taught us a lot about Jordanien history and culture. The tour was a great mix of everything...sightseeing, exploring, chillin and partying."

"We joined the Intrepid “Real Italy Food Tour” and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our tour guide, Micol, was very knowledgeable and provided us with lots of good information. It seems Micol knew many of the staff of the venues we visited, including the pasta making class we attended. Our group of 11 travelers was extremely compatible, which greatly added to the fun and enjoyment."

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:
From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
Coffee Ring
The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.
Zodiac Metro
According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.
Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.
Paleontological finds
Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

Moscow Metro
The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.
What is the kremlin in russia?
The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.
And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.
During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.
There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.
Sleeper Picks: RBC Heritage
Sleeper Picks
Change Text Size
Taylor Moore (+6600) … When a guy keeps fulfilling targets as he did for a Top 5 at +900 for the Texas Children’s Houston Open (T2) and again for a Top 20 at +400 at the Masters (T20), both after an impressive T12 in his first-ever title defense at the Valspar Championship, is he really a Sleeper anymore? Better yet, because he keeps fulfilling the targets, there’s a progression that what the work is yielding must be piggybacked. So, here he is yet again, but this time to win. He debuted at the RBC Heritage last year with a T11 and he’s among the best on approach on the PGA TOUR this year. He’s also guaranteed a 16th consecutive payday, so he’s been in a groove for far longer than the recent surge.
Tommy Fleetwood (+333) … In full disclosure, the Brit was supposed to be in the Power Rankings. I simply glossed over my handwritten note that he was one of the 15 to include. My shortlist was at 19 but I wound up including one of the four that I had cut. That’s OK because, while continuity over time is important for that weekly preview, 15 still is an arbitrary target. So, perhaps that’ll be a happy accident that’ll follow the purposeful likes of Will Zalatoris at The Genesis Invitational (+650), Taylor Moore at the Texas Children’s (+900) and Collin Morikawa (+750) as golfers who have converted on this bet in Sleepers in 2024. Now, Fleetwood is but sixth-shortest for the same at the RBC Heritage, but part of that is a product of the fact that there are only 69 golfers in play. The rest is all him. He’s 3-for-4 at Harbour Town with a personal-best T10 in 2022, and he’s on the bounce of a T7-T3 the last two weeks. Also, he was a winner earlier this year at the Dubai Invitational.
Tommy Fleetwood finishes with birdie on No. 18 at Valero
Thomas Detry (+650) … While he’s rested since a co-runner-up at the Texas Children’s three weeks ago – his second top-four finish and fourth top 20 of his last eight, including a T4 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am where greens are similarly as small as Harbour Town’s – this is just as much about the overall fit for the track. En route to missing the cut in his debut last year, the course beat him up during his opening, 3-over 74, but among those who slammed trunks – well, gently lowered the liftgate via the key fob – no one scored lower than his 3-under 68 that followed. Proving that his game improves nearest the hole, he led the field at Memorial Park in scrambling.
Tom Hoge (+200) … Focusing only on the golfers for whom the kickback is at least twice the outlay, the available subset is thin in a small field, but it was a bona fide surprise to find him in it. He’s cashed only twice in six appearances, but that he continues to return is proof that he’s fond of Harbour Town. With the guarantee of four rounds for the first time this week, whatever demons he fights about the place won’t be a factor as it concerns contributing to the season-long cause, but his form in 2024 has been strong enough to bury the demons for good, anyway. He arrives with a consecutive cuts-made streak of nine that includes two top 10s and another four top 20s. Also, inside the top 20 on TOUR in greens hit and adjusted scoring, and he’s No. 1 in proximity to the hole and par-3 scoring.
Adam Svensson (+200) … With no cut and only 69 commits, BetMGM split the difference between a customary market for a Top 40 and presented this. And in a similar vein as the Top 20 market, the objective is to focus on the options that would double the return on investment. Among the dozen or so options is the Canadian in his third start, the first of which resulted in a T26 in a full field in 2022. He’s struggled of late but his skill set as a tee-to-green performer plays up at Harbour Town, so it’s not surprising that his scoring average in eight rounds on the par 71 is 69.38.

Homebuyers Get Hit With Brutal News: Mortgage Rates Soar Past 7%
Mortgage rates did not simply rise this week—they soared past 7% for the first time since December 2023, putting a massive hurdle in front of homebuyers hoping to find an affordable home this spring.
The average rate for a 30-year fixed home loan rose from 6.88% to 7.10% for the week ending April 18, according to Freddie Mac.
“The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage surpassed 7 percent for the first time this year,” Sam Khater , Freddie Mac’s chief economist, said in a statement. “As rates trend higher, potential homebuyers are deciding whether to buy before rates rise even more or hold off in hopes of decreases later in the year.”
Yet homebuyers feeling the sting of high mortgage rates might still be enticed to shop the growing number of homes for sale, at prices that are holding steady.
“Fortunately, buyers will find more options than last year, and prices are staying about the same,” says Realtor.com® economic data manager Sabrina Speianu in her most recent analysis . “However, affordability issues will stick around until mortgage rates drop more significantly.”
Here are the other vital metrics that will give homebuyers and sellers insight into the state of the real estate market in this latest installment of “ How’s the Housing Market This Week? ”
High mortgage rates may stick around
What’s been triggering the spike in mortgage rates all comes down to the same answer week after week: inflation.
“Lingering high inflation rates have deferred hopes for a Federal Reserve policy rate cut, consequently postponing expectations of meaningful declines in mortgage rates this year,” says Speianu.
In the big picture, the Federal Reserve’s decision not to cut rates has become a “familiar pattern,” as Speianu puts it.
“March’s inflation data increased the likelihood [that] we will continue to live in a prolonged period of high rates and face expensive borrowing costs, including high mortgage rates,” adds Realtor.com economist Jiayi Xu .
Home prices remain steady
In a bit of welcome news, home prices remained flat for the week ending April 13 compared with last year. (Listing prices hit a median of $424,900 nationwide in March.)
“Last week, the prices for homes on the market stayed steady, marking the 12th consecutive week without much change compared with last year,” says Speianu. “This consistency is partly due to fewer buyers competing for homes, as interest rates have yet to significantly drop, but there has also been a shift in the types of homes available.”
Homes hitting the market as of late tend to be smaller and more affordable, with properties priced between $200,000 and $350,000 increasing by 30.5% in March compared with last year. Home shoppers looking to score a deal should head to warmer climes as Southern listings make up a whopping 57.4% of for-sale homes in that price range in March.
Another economic factor that might take the edge off high mortgage rates is the number of sellers offering price reductions , which reached 15% in March, a number not seen since March 2017.
The impact of high mortgage rates on sellers
Buyers can look for a flush of new listings, since they’re up 7.2% for the week ending April 13 compared with last year. But the growth of new listings is slowing week to week, now down to a percentage not seen since February.
“Ongoing elevated inflation seems to be motivating more sellers, many of whom are potential buyers themselves, to wait for more stable or declining mortgage rates before making a move,” says Speianu.
Despite that, overall active inventory increased by 29.1% for the week ending April 13 above last year’s levels for the 23rd week in a row.
“There were more homes listed for sale compared with the previous year, giving homebuyers a wider selection to choose from,” says Speianu.
The current jump in mortgage rates will likely affect future inventory, persuading some buyers (and sellers) to drop out of the market. But this could be a good thing for those who stick around.
“Some buyers might wait for rates to decrease further, temporarily reducing competition and potentially lowering prices,” adds Speianu.
The spring market marches on
Yet affordability headwinds are not deterring determined buyers from closing the deal.
In March, homes spent a median of 50 days on the market. And while homes spent the same amount of time on the market for the week ending April 13 compared with the same period last year, it’s worth noting that this is still 12 days faster than the typical homebuying pace seen from 2017 to 2019.
“Although there’s been a noticeable increase in inventory compared with last year, homes are still selling quite fast,” says Speianu. “Well-priced homes, especially starter homes, are still attracting a pool of eager buyers.”

To determine the most affordable Eras Tour stops, Islands.com researchers compared the cost of a two-night trip, including one cheap ticket on StubHub.com, two nights at a four-star hotel, six inexpensive meals, two five-mile taxi rides, and one domestic beer. With safety at the top of travelers' minds, the researchers also factored in the city’s safety rating out of 100.
