- 90 days on arrival nationals
Countries valid for the 30 days on arrival free visa include Andorra, Australia, Brunei, Canada, China, Hong Kong-China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macau-China, Malaysia, Mauritius, Monaco, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, San Marino, Singapore, Ukraine, United States of America, Vatican City, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
Below are the visa extension options available for these nationals :
Pay around 990 AED to extend your 30 days free on-arrival visa. The UAE government grants you a 10 days grace period in case you miss on your expiry dates and offers you 20 days after you apply for extension. Cumulatively, you get to spend 60 days in the UAE from the day one to your departure date.
You may exit UAE briefly to the neighboring countries like Oman and apply for an express visa back to the country. You can either travel by road to the other country or opt for airport transfer which is faster.
To use this option, book with Arabiers an airport-to-airport visa change ticket and board a plane to the nearby country like Oman. Chill out at the Oman airport for about an hour and then board another plain back to the UAE. Arabiers will processes your express 30 days on-arrival visa.
This visa extension option is perfect for those who want to stay in the UAE for more than 60 days. This is how this visa extension works :
- First, leave the UAE at least one day before your visa expiry date and go to your home country or any other country.
- Immediately you exit, send Arabiers your exit stamp and a copy of your passport to make an application on your behalf.
- Wait for a few days for the 90 days visa to be approved.
- We will then send the valid visa to you visa email.
- Come back to the UAE and enjoy 90 more days there.
Travelers who need to stay in the UAE for 90 more days without leaving the country should consider using this visa extension option. Here is how it works :
- To begin with, contact Arabiers before 5 days of your current tourist visa expiry.
- Next, send us a copy of your passport, current visa or your on-arrival entry stamp and a passport sized photo.
- We will apply for a 90 days visa which will be processed in 3 to 5 days.
- We will get the status of your visa hanged to the new visa and you may continue with your stay in the country for another 90 days.
Countries valid for the 90 days free multi entry on arrival visa include, Argentina, Austria, Bahamas Islands, Barbados, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, El-Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kiribati, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Montenegro, Nauru, Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Uruguay.
- Brazil nationals are eligible for a 90 day on arrival visa that is valid for 365 days.
- South Korea Nationals are eligible for 90 days straight stay visa.
Here are the visa extension options for travelers with the 90 days on arrival visa to the UAE :
This is the most economic visa extension options for 90 days visa holders. Contact Arabiers and then settle on an exit date few days to your visa expiry. Exit the UAE to a nearing country like Oman by road. Arabiers will then apply for a UAE express visa valid for 30 or 60 days depending on your instructions. We will then send the e-visa via email and you can get back to the country.
Consider an airport transfer from UAE to a neighboring country like Oman to extend your 90 days on-arrival visa. Contact Arabiers, who will organize your flight tickets to Oman. ATM 2024: GCC unified visa ‘GCC Grand Tours’ to allow visitors to travel to 6 countries for over 30 days
Travel & tourism.
Unified visa will make travel more affordable for tourists: UAE Minister of Economy
Dubai: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) unified Gulf tourist visa – to be named the ‘GCC Grand Tours’ – will allow travellers to visit all six GCC states and spend more than 30 days in the region, UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri announced Monday on the opening day of the Arabian Travel Market.
He said, “In a significant move aimed at simplifying travel logistics and fostering tourism, the Gulf Cooperation Council has given the green light to a unified tourist visa that will allow travellers to visit all six countries. Through the GCC Grand Tours, that we are working on and aiming to finish, will allow tourists to spend more than 30 days in the region.”

According to the Minister, this will make travel to the region more convenient and affordable for tourists. It will also increase activity and employment numbers in the region, explained the Minister.

Rollout planned by end-2024
While the Minister did not state an official rollout date for the GCC unified visa, Khalid Jasim Al Midfa of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Authority (SCTDA), who was also speaking at the conference, said the “system should be in place by the end of the year.”
“By the end of this year, the whole system should be in place. Many people and teams, led by the Ministry of Economy in the UAE and other ministries in other countries, are working on it tirelessly to make it happen in the best possible way, emphasizing digital transformation,” said Al Midfa.
“E-services are also vital to this effort because we want to make it easy, avoiding unnecessary complications. Simultaneously, we aim to maintain all the security measures. We share many common security measures (with Saudi Arabia) that will facilitate obtaining a UAE or GCC visa for all GCC countries,” he added. Al Midfa said the region has huge tourism potential and each countries’ tourism boards are working hard to convert it into ‘materialistic economic value’.
"I believe it will be a positive initiative, leading to significant contributions to our regional GDP within the next eight to 10 years," said AlMidfa.
The senior Sharjah government leader said that MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) sector would also contribute tremendously towards visitor growth.
‘Unlike the Schengen visa’
According to AlMidfa, the objectives of GCC-wide tourism are unlike those of the Schengen visa, which were ‘socio-political or socio-economic’. “Here, tourism is driving the initiative. So, we have to structure it differently for people to access GCC countries,” he said.
As business travel entails a higher spend per person than leisure travellers, typically three times more, the packages offered to travellers seeking a GCC-wide travel experience must promote a diverse portfolio. AlMidfa suggested offering multiple leisure and business packages.
Tourism’s contribution to GDP
Al-Marri also said that in 2021, international spending in the GCC will capture 35 per cent of the market. “The travellers' footprint across our lands contributed $109 billion to the total GDP of the GCC economies, highlighting a robust rebound and potential that tourism holds as a cornerstone for economic development,” he said.
He also said that in 2023, the UAE’s tourism sector has surpassed expectations. The Minister cited the World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) research and stated that travel and tourism contributed 11.7 per cent to the UAE’s GDP last year, amounting to Dh220 billion. “The forecast is set even higher, with an anticipated contribution of 12 per cent to our GDP, equating to Dh236 billion,” he added.
“I believe that our regional ambitions should not be to recover to pre-pandemic benchmarks but exceed them merely,” said Al Marri.

The system to launch the unified GCC tourist visa will be put in place by the end of the year by the regional countries, said Khalid Jasim Al Midfa of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Authority (SCTDA) at the Arabian Travel Market on Monday.
“By the end of this year, the whole system will be in place. (We) are working day and night and e-service is a vital part of it. We don’t want to complicate things for people and also maintain the same security level. It will be a very good initiative and we will see a positive outcome for regional economies,” Al Midfa said during the panel discussion by the regional tourism chief.
Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE’s Minister of Economy, said the regional tourist visas would be called GCC Grand Tours and it will allow tourists to spend more than 30 days in the six countries that make up the GCC. "This will make travel to our region more convenient and affordable for tourists.”

“Once it comes into effect, it will contribute to highlighting the diverse tourism destinations in GCC countries, attracting and retaining tourists for longer periods, thus increasing the number of hotel guests and making the region one of the leading destinations for regional and international tourists alike,” Al Marri said after attending a meeting at the World Economic Forum in Riyadh on April 28 and 29.
Packages, aligning biggest events
Al Midfa said the UAE and other Gulf countries are working with large tourist operators, and companies to roll out packages that take care of the entire region.
He added that talks are underway with hotels and airlines to create partnerships. “As government, we create the right platform that enables them to create business. So work closely with the private sector we make it happen.”
He added that once the GCC single tourist visa is rolled out, companies and tourist operators will automatically roll out combined packages.
He added that as part of the single tourism GCC, the aim is to extend the length of stay of visitors in UAE. “People don’t go to the US for 2 nights. People go for leisure travel for 2-3 weeks and we want to combine the packages here within the GCC and make it easy and buy a package. We may need to align some of the biggest events in order to work out the timing so that there is no overlapping.”
He revealed that both leisure and business travel packages will be rolled out by the private sector once a single tourist visa has been launched.
Sarah Buhijji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, added that Bahrain is also working on packages for the entire region. “Visitors can come to Bahrain and stay 3 nights, then go to Oman and Saudi. We are promoting the entire region as one package. We have signed an MoU with Saudi Arabia to promote two countries as one destination and we are doing it with the rest of the regional countries,” she added.
