Today, Bill Burr announced the second leg of his Bill Burr (Slight Return) tour, produced by Live Nation, which will visit 25 cities starting on September 8th through December 17th. On the heels of his historic show in Boston as the first comedian to headline Fenway Park this August, following stops include Tulsa, Philadelphia, and Chicago before wrapping up in San Antonio.

On August 21, Bill will make history as the first comedian to perform at Fenway Park.  His Bill Burr (Slight Return) arena and amphitheater tour kicked off in April and will visit 53 North American cities in 2022.

A Grammy-nominated comedian, Bill Burr is one of the top comedic voices of his generation achieving success in TV and film as well as on stage.  Bill sells out venues internationally and his Monday Morning Podcast is one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts.  

On June 6, Bill will host the Netflix special, Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill.   He recently wrapped filming the feature, Old Dads, which Bill co-wrote, directed and will star in alongside Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine.

Last November, Bill’s animated Netflix series, F Is For Family , premiered its fifth and final season starring Bill, Laura Dern, Justin Long and Sam Rockwell in the cast, and he premiered the Roku series, Bill Burr Presents: Immoral Compass.  In September, Bill was seen in a guest role on the hit FX on Hulu series, Reservation Dogs, and he released the live, vinyl, double album, Bill Burr Live From Madison Square Garden .

I didn’t know about this phone policy. What if I don’t want to do this? This is the show policy, and as a result we cannot allow entry to any guests with cell phones or smart watches if they are not secured in a Yondr case. This information was disclosed when you purchased tickets to this event.

What happens if there is an emergency in the venue and I can’t access my phone? All venue staff and security have cell phones and radios. Should an emergency occur, they are trained to implement and execute safety and emergency procedures. Guests should follow all venue instructions and evacuate immediately in the case of an emergency. Yondr Venue Staff will have hand-held unlocking devices outside at a safe distance from the venue.

This event will be a device-free experience. Use of phones, smartwatches and electronic accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smartwatches and electronic accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated ‘Device Use Areas’ within the venue. All devices will be resecured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space.

To the United Center : The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.

From the United Center : The #19 United Center Express and the #20 Madison buses run every few minutes, departing from the eastbound side of Madison Street. Buses make all stops.

Suites Parking

Two reserved parking passes will be valid in lots C and K. The other two reserved parking passes will be for parking in lots A, B, D, or L. Holders of these passes will be directed to A, B, D, or L lots by traffic police and parking attendants based on traffic conditions. Parking passes are good for one space each. All parking passes are mobile entry only.

For all special events, each Executive Suite Holder will receive two complimentary parking passes per event ordered. These two passes will be for reserved parking located in lots C and K. In addition, Executive Suite Holders will also receive the option to purchase four additional parking passes in lots C and K for special events.

Suite Holder parking passes are also valid for buses or limousines under specific guidelines.

Lexus Club Parking

Lexus Club Seat members have reserved parking in fenced, well-lit and clearly marked parking lots adjacent to the United Center for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. All Lexus Club members who purchase tickets to other events may also purchase one preferred parking pass (in lot C or K) for such events. Details on how to obtain parking for other events are included with the fax transmission announcing each event.

Lexus Club Seat members with two to four tickets receive a complimentary, reserved parking space in a closed-in, paved lot for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. Lexus Club Seat members with five seats or more will be provided with two parking passes.

What is the location of the Uber Zone? The new Uber Zone at the United Center is located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Fans will enter and exit through the sidewalk entrance located on Madison Street and cars will enter the lot by turning into the Uber Zone from Madison Street. Cars will exit on Warren Blvd.

What are the hours of operation? On event days, the Uber Zone is open two hours prior to games, concerts and events and will remain open up to one hour after each event. On non-event days, the Uber Zone will be closed and Uber rides will be dropped off near the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street outside of the Uber Zone.

What is the pickup process for fans?

• Using the Uber app, fans inside the United Center will call an Uber ride.
• Guests will then head to the new Uber Zone located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street in front of the United Center.
• When arriving, fans will show the Uber attendant the lane number their driver is in.
• Fans will be shown the location where their Uber vehicle is located to start their next journey.

What is the dropoff process for fans? When Uber drivers arrive with guests at the United Center, they will be instructed to pull into the Uber Zone from the Madison Street side to drop off fans. Once exiting the vehicle, guests will walk out of the main entrance located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Guests can cross the street to the United Center and are encouraged to enter through the East Atrium.

BOSTON — Comedian Bill Burr is coming to Fenway Park this summer.

The Massachusetts native will be the first stand-up comic to perform at the legendary ballpark in its 110-year history.

Burr announced the Aug. 21 show as part of his “Bill Burr (Slight Return)” tour. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m.

In addition to comedy, Burr is an actor and writer, appearing in “The King of Staten Island,” “The Mandalorian” and “Breaking Bad,” and co-creating and starring in the Netflix animated series “F is for Family.” He also hosts the popular “Monday Morning Podcast.”

Burr received a Grammy nomination in 2019 for his sixth comedy special, “Bill Burr: Paper Tiger.”

Bill Burr at Fenway Park: Buy Bill Burr tickets for comedian’s historic stop at home of the Red Sox

Canton, Massachusetts, native Bill Burr will make history when he steps up to the mic at Fenway Park this summer.

The comedian will be the first to do so in the iconic ballpark’s long history when he brings his  Bill Burr (Slight Return) Tour  to the home of the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, August 21.

Fans looking to see the comedian, which has starred in everything from Netflix shows to TV series, is excited going back to the city where it all began.

“I started doing stand-up in Boston 30 years ago,” Burr said in a press release. “Never imagined it would lead to Fenway. Kind of speechless, which is rare for a big mouth like me.”

Fans looking to get to the show can shop around for tickets at VividSeats and TicketNetwork .

TicketNetwork seats were starting at $167 as of April 28 , while VividSeats seats were going for $141 as of the same date.

Fenway will be a busy place all summer long and it won’t just be for baseball. Paul McCartney will take the stage on June 7 and June 8. Check out the concert series below:

Bill Burr Announces Fall North American Dates For His 2022 Arena And Amphitheater Tour Bill Burr (Slight Return)

Today, Bill Burr announced the second leg of his Bill Burr (Slight Return) tour, produced by Live Nation, which will visit 25 cities starting on September 8 through December 17. On the heels of his historic show in Boston as the first comedian to headline Fenway Park this August, following stops include Tulsa, Philadelphia, and Chicago before wrapping up in San Antonio.

General on sale begins Friday, May 20 at 9:00 a.m. local time through wellsfargocenterphilly.com .

On August 21, Bill will make history as the first comedian to perform at Fenway Park. His Bill Burr (Slight Return) arena and amphitheater tour kicked off in April and will visit 53 North American cities in 2022.

A Grammy-nominated comedian, Bill Burr is one of the top comedic voices of his generation achieving success in TV and film as well as on stage.  Bill sells out venues internationally and his Monday Morning Podcast is one of the most downloaded comedy podcasts. 

On June 6, Bill will host the Netflix special, Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill.  He recently wrapped filming the feature, Old Dads, which Bill co-wrote, directed and will star in alongside Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine.

Last November, Bill’s animated Netflix series, F Is For Family, premiered its fifth and final season starring Bill, Laura Dern, Justin Long and Sam Rockwell in the cast, and he premiered the Roku series, Bill Burr Presents: Immoral Compass.  In September, Bill was seen in a guest role on the hit FX on Hulu series, Reservation Dogs, and he released the live, vinyl, double album, Bill Burr Live From Madison Square Garden.

BOSTON (CBS) – Canton native Bill Burr will make history this summer when he becomes the first comedian to perform at Fenway Park.

Burr announced Monday he will perform at the historic ballpark on August 21 as part of the Bill Burr (Slight Return) tour.

"I started doing stand-up in Boston 30 years ago," Burr said in a statement. "Never imagined it would lead to Fenway. Kind of speechless, which is rare for a big mouth like me."

Tickets for the show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Upon arrival at the venue, phones, smart watches and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event.

A 24-date trek running April to August

Standup comedian Bill Burr hasn’t even wrapped up his 2021 tour , and he’s already announced stops for the 2022 “Slight Return” arena and amphitheater tour.

The 24-date trek kicks off on April Fool’s Day in Reading, PA, and includes appearances along the east coast, south, and brief runs through the west coast and Canada. He wraps up August 27th in Saratoga Springs, New York. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 15th at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Bill Burr brings his A game to Fenway Park

“I know you’re not supposed to say this,” said Bill Burr midway through his historic stand-up comedy set at Fenway Park on Sunday.

What he was saying in the moment doesn’t particularly matter here. Rest assured that he was offending someone.

That’s what Burr — the cantankerous 54-year-old comedian, actor, podcaster, and now filmmaker who hails from the mean streets of Canton — does best. In fact, that’s pretty much all he does, and riotously so, at a time when outrage has become our most popular amateur sport.

Billed as his “Slight Return” (a nod to Jimi Hendrix; Burr, a devoted drummer, loves hard rock music), the show made the local guy the first comedian ever to headline Fenway. The ballpark has hosted major rock and pop acts for two decades.

Taking into account several sections of empty seats that would have resulted in obstructed views (as well as the empty bleacher seating, behind the centerfield stage), the show was essentially a sell-out. If you’re curious, it was not close to a record: According to Guinness World Records, German comedian Mario Barth drew 67,000 in a Berlin stadium in 2008.

An incomplete inventory of the people Burr needled (or skewered, take your pick of sharp objects) included feminists, men without money, plastic surgery patients, short guys with big watches, Madonna, his own wife, folks with tattoos of life-affirming platitudes, both the current president and the last one (“Neither side will admit how stupid their guy is!”), self-proclaimed patriots who dress “like every day is the Fourth of July,” and those who still believe in “a god that cares.”

Burr, who lives in LA, might be the present day’s preeminent exporter of the acute Boston accent and the locals’ propensity for reveling in our own absurd posturing. With his voice booming off the facade behind home plate like a profane, high-pitched Sherm Feller, he noted how he and his fellow Bostonians have a unique habit of using a certain gerund beginning with the letter F as an opportunity “to pause and collect your thoughts.” (“So true!” yelped a laughing young woman near me.)

Burr has plenty of material about the war between the sexes, and his go-to voice for anything that seems excessively sensitive is old-school prissy.

Grousing that “you can’t get away with [anything] anymore” in the age of social media — ticket holders were required to put their cellphones into locking pouches to prevent any unauthorized videos — he went on an extended romp through his own wayward years as a young incorrigible. Every few weeks, he joked, he and his buddies would light one of their rattletrap cars on fire, then call the cops and report it stolen.

With spotlights enhancing the Green Monster behind him, Burr prowled a large stage, backed by an array of rigging towers lit up red and blue. Squeezing the microphone in his right hand, he dangled his left wrist over the mic stand, like a guy leaning on a buddy’s shoulder to shout a joke in his ear inside a crowded bar.

“It’s [bleepin’] insane that I’m here,” he said upon taking the stage about where Kike Hernandez would position himself for a dead pull hitter.

Burr himself is not off-limits as a target of Burr the comedian. He recalled one of his many boozy visits to Fenway Park, when he passed out for a few innings, then woke up with mustard all over his shirt.

After an hour or so of Gatling-gun delivery, he unspooled a shaggy-dog story, a sequel to the magic mushroom episode he recounts in his latest special, “Live at Red Rocks.” This one involved a Utah vacation, a phantom cowboy, and the death of Bob Saget.

He took time to credit the local comedy institutions that helped him get his start, from Nick’s Comedy Stop and the late Dick Doherty to the Wilbur’s Bill Blumenreich. He also thanked his opening act, the local comedy veteran Tony V, for teaching him the ropes.

In his short opener, Tony V made hay out of the city’s transportation woes. After wondering whether anyone took the Green Line, a pedicab, or “a donkey” to get to the ballpark, he suggested his hometown needs a new slogan: “Boston — We’re Not Quite Finished.”

Even in a huge arena, Burr is a master of detail. His description of trying to watch a football game during his latest psychedelic trip was outrageous. And when he needed to reference a department store, he called up Lechmere and Caldor, two bygone chains familiar to Mass. souls of a certain age.

As he described a woman on his recent cross-country flight, he insisted with an impish grin that he was not “body shaming.”

“I’m trying to paint a picture here,” he squawked. “I’m an artist!”

He was joking, of course. He’d be loath to admit it, but in fact that’s exactly what he is.

Live Review: Bill Burr sets intimate mood with growth, familiar streak at Fenway Park

If you’re looking for a full, in-depth, play-by-play recap of Bill Burr ’s historic headlining set at Fenway Park, you’re in the wrong place, because burning jokes in print is pretty lame. But what we can tell you is that if you could draw baseball statistics from a comedy show, good ol’ Billy Ballpark showed up with the best centerfield performance the city has seen all season.

In case it hadn’t already been made abundantly clear with months of work-up, the show on Sunday night (August 21) was a big deal for the local comedy scene and those who have grown within it. Not only was it the largest crowd of Burr’s 30-year career, with just around 35,000 people piling into the Jersey Street baseball cathedral to watch the magic unfold, but it was also the largest comedy show in the history of the city of Boston, period. Now, even with the amount of pushback Burr has received over the years from various demographics, it makes perfect sense that he — Boston’s favorite son — would be the one to facilitate and expertly execute such a monumental feat.

But first, it was up to Boston comedy legend Tony V to get things started . Now officially the answer to a trivia question, as he himself quipped soon after being the first to take the stage on Sunday night, the man in the bright pink shirt stayed true to presenting the colors that he’s flown for over 40 years, as he touched heavily on the humor he finds in everyday life, marriage and changing along with the ever-changing times. It was only fitting that such a dedicated servant to the comedy scene such as Tony V was able to kick things off on such a festive night, and the presence and obvious joy he carried himself with in the spotlight poured into the mic and reverberated with waves of laughter stretching from home plate to the warning track.

Closing things up right around the 15-minute mark, Tony V kept the suspense in play as he took on the role of emcee to introduce a trailer for Burr’s upcoming movie Old Dads , which was really just the first layer to the comedic and overall creative growth that Burr put on display after strutting out to a short standing ovation following his intro.

Now, the tour is dubbed Slight Return, which is perhaps a sort of cheeky reminder that there is nothing slight about anything Burr does, and he reminded the Fenway crowd of that quickly as he wasted little time burying deep into the current state of affairs he’s noticed around him. While not political, he took jabs at politicians, and with joyful generosity, handed out scathing takes on topic after topic with the same snark and blunt honesty that has gotten him in as much hot water as it has to the top of the comedy totem pole. His ability to make his crowd the butt of a joke while also making them feel like they’re in on it is a beautiful thing to see still glimmering in his arsenal all these years.

It was the same refreshing balance of disregard and eventual introspective second-guessing that we’ve all come to know love from Burr, with as much disdain for a brand new batch of the most surprisingly relatable things as he’s had in the past. But for a man whose historically fiery personality was only further represented by his red hair back in the day, there was something different about he carried himself this time around, as his salt n’ paprika beard was almost characteristic of a more subdued, calculated, and dare we say upbeat version of Burr, as opposed to the famously irate edition who was forever etched into comedy lore for short-fuse antics such as verbally and tactically decimating a Philly crowd all those years ago (not saying they didn’t deserve it, though.)

For what he’s left behind with his screaming and shouting, he’s made up for in staying a bit longer in the details of long and colorful stories from a lifetime of rough decisions that, in many ways, he continues to work out in real time in front of everyone to see. And with it being a local show, it somehow felt even more intimate and open than it could’ve been in any other setting.

By no means is Burr a goody two-shoes or anything nowadays, because the harsh takes still leave quite a magnificently crafted sting, but there’s just something different about how he handles himself now, and specifically how he handled himself in front of 35,000 loyal, raving hometown fans, which in and of itself made for a great night at Fenway. He was quicker to admit when he was in the wrong, and there was an even breezier, icy wind when he set off on a gloriously delicious tapestry of a tangent that almost inevitably ended in a concession that put him back in with the herd. 

It wasn’t bombastic or flashy, but there’s no denying it it was titanic to see Bill Burr hold court as the high king in such a majestic place.

A little soul searching never hurt anyone, and in the case of Bill Burr, his personal metamorphosis into this more laid back but still-mad-at-the-world version of himself is a great thing to see, and we were only so lucky to see it on a Sunday night in August, on full display in New England’s holiest cathedral.
