There are lots of opportunities to tour in person and meet with representatives from CSU’s majors and academic paths.

If you don’t see a tour or event below that works for you, please contact the academic college or department listed below to schedule an appointment at least three to four weeks before you’d like to visit. While there is no guarantee a visit can be arranged, acting early will increase your ability to do so.

Please contact the Office of Admissions if you have questions about who to meet with or need help with arrangements.

Exploratory Studies

Exploratory Studies is pleased to offer both in-person and virtual appointments. Appointments are highly recommended, but students and guests also may drop in Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1-3 p.m.

Call us at (970) 491-7095 to schedule an appointment. Our in-person visits are held at Canvas Stadium, 1415 Meridian Avenue, in Fort Collins.

If you’d like to schedule an appointment with one of our health professions advisors during your campus visit, contact our office by phone at least two to three weeks before your visit as our calendars fill quickly. We are happy to meet with you via phone or Zoom if calendars are full during the time of your visit.

College of Business

Campus self guided, welcome to colorado state university home of the csu rams.

This self-guided walking tour will give you the opportunity to experience the ram community first hand. The combination of outstanding academic programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and enthusiastic student involvement is why many call CSU home. Discover CSU’s eight colleges, dine at one of our award-winning dining centers, and get to know the lively academic community that is Colorado State University!

1. Ammons Hall

Originally built as the Women’s Recreation Center in 1922, with an indoor pool. The pool is now filled in and Ammons Hall is home to the University Welcome Center and Office of Admissions.

Take a walk through the Oval and discover the historic district of campus. With buildings dating as far back as 1881 (Spruce Hall), the oval embodies the vast history of campus. Shaded by American elm trees, the Oval is a perfect place to for students to study and recreate. The annual homecoming parade, President’s Annual Fall Address, and multiple weddings take place here each year.

3. Lory Student Center

With more than 20,000 people passing through its doors each day, the Lory Student Center (LSC) underwent a major renovation in 2014. This facility houses a food court, the CSU Bookstore, Student Advocacy offices, meeting space, ballrooms, and a microbrewery that serves as a lab for fermentation science.

4. Morgan Library

The Morgan Library has been providing research and study space for students since 1964. It currently holds 2 million books and journals in its collection. Extensive renovation of the library, which includes a 24-hour study cube, has revitalized the space to be more suitable for current students.

5. Biology Building

The Biology Building was built in 2017 and focuses on creating spaces where the record-number of Biological Sciences and Zoology majors can spend their time in classrooms or study spaces. The facility provides cutting-edge laboratories for CSU researchers, faculty, and students.

6. Chemistry Research Building

The Chemistry Research Building is a state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratory facility located on the “Science Mall.” This building provides 60,000 square feet of additional hood-intensive lab space, which integrates collaborative student and faculty research. Check out the art installation just outside of the building’s entrance featuring molecules found in our atmosphere.

7. Academic Village

Academic Village, one of CSU’s living-learning communities, features a common area with a water fountain, award-winning Ram’s Horn Dining Center, and three residence halls – Engineering, Honors, and Aspen.

8. CSU Canvas Stadium

The multi-purpose stadium houses the Alumni Center, classrooms, and the Collaborative for Student Achievement, touching all students during their time in school and inviting alumni back to campus. The facility achieved Leed Certification that ensures a healthy and sustainable environment.

9. Student Recreation Center

CSU’s Student Recreation Center is a breathtaking combination of luxurious amenities and stunning cultural design and is consistently ranked one of the top 5 student recreation centers in the country. The 165,000 square foot facility feature a twofloor cardio-weight fitness area, group fitness studios, climbing wall, bouldering cave, in-pool rock wall, 4-lane swimming pool with lazy river, indoor and outdoor basketball, outdoor volleyball and hockey areas, a hot tub, and much more.

10. The Pavilion

The Pavilion is in the center of Laurel Village and is the first project on the main CSU campus to receive a LEED Platinum certification. The Pavilion features sustainable and local products as well as innovative energy-saving features including a katabatic cooling tower.

11. University Center for the Arts (1400 Remington Street)

The University Center for the Arts is an exquisite venue for music, theatre, dance and art that features over 300 performances and events each year. In this building – through performance, creative production, design, education, therapy, and research – future generations of arts professionals are becoming contributors to the essential vitality of our culture and society.
