I recently worked as a DJ at a surprise 50th party at Cruise bar and was blown away by their professional and friendly attitude towards me as an outside DJ. They looked after me very well and were extremely helpful whilst I was setting up. I would love to come back and serve their clients and guests another time. Thank you

We thought this would be a good place to grab a drink with some views. Ehhhhhhhh..... Views aren't great honestly as the whole patio is screened with fences and plants. You'll order inside and they'll bring items out for you. The Mister had an Oktoberfest special - a pint and pretzels for $10, and I had a really lovely Taz sparking for $12. We also opted for a charcuterie plate ($25) that was straight up bad. The pickled veg was nice but all of the meat was processed sandwich quality and IMO some of it was not fresh at all and possibly turning. If you want a drink on the water, head to the other side of the Quay and look for some of the cheap HH ($5!!) deals.

Yikes. There are endless nice places for a bite or drink. This place is aggressively bad. From the music (which cuts in and out), to the endless product placement, to the insufferable seats. Who has gorgeous views and blocks it with gross, heavy, bulky furniture? The service was rude. All day nothing but older folks getting off the cruise ship thinking this place is hip or nice. I fell for the trap!

Photo of Debbie F.

I attended a cocktail party/ professional event. I was impressed with the options of outside and inside seating. The service at the bar was good, despite the large crowds and long lines. The appetizers passed through the crowd were a mixed bag, but that is typical for this type of event. The ladies room was exceptionally clean. I would like to return for another visit to see how it is when not so crowded with a professional event.

See related pic of the stopwatch I started while waiting for any staff to approach me as I sat there at a table waiting. I never got service.

This pic is worth a 1000 words. I left after receiving no service whatsoever, despite waiting over 35 minutes.

It just seemed like the staff kept getting distracted with others a lot. There was not much in the way of drinks when we tried them.

Cruise Bar is a great stop for a reasonably priced meal with a stunning view or a cheeky little after work beverage with someone you're sweet on. I went to Cruise first on a date. It was a Friday night and I was fairly new to the city. My suitor chose the spot and we met in front of the Contemporary Art Museum. I remember it being particularly balmy and me being equally nervous, so I was glad the walk to the restaurant was a short one. I could have easily ended up in a puddle of hairspray and makeup on the Circular Quay walkway. We grabbed a seat at one of the high wooden tables out on the patio facing the magnificent Opera House. The drinks were decent and the conversation was alright, but I couldn't help feeling like vibe was magical. Don't tell my date, but I was actually busy lusting after Sydney itself. It's beauty and charm, especially from that sparkly vantage point, stole my little beating heart.

There is a view of the Opera House outside. One in their patio area and the other in front. It would be nice if they changed their gate so that the view wasn't obscured by the gate design. Food and drinks were pricey. Fries were very salty.

We went there only for the New Year's Eve Countdown event. We bought the VIP tickets. The view was great but it's most certainly not VIP in anyway. There were very few chairs. This means most people would have to stand for an entire evening. There was also not enough food for everyone. Music was very loud. Good for club- going crowd but a torture to those who didn't like it. We ended up going to the restaurant Yuki's one floor up. So much better in every way. At least everyone could sit. The view was better, the place much more spacious. And the food very reasonably priced.

Thank God summer is coming! It means that I can go hang out at Cruise and Opera bars respectively! There is nothing better than a nice cold one after work while looking at amazing water views. The atmosphere is relaxed and the crowd equally so, which belies the location. You would expect a snobbish crowd but it seems they prefer to go to Ivy :p This is still a great place to have a drink and you don't have to spend lots of dough at the fine dining restaurants to hang out at the Overseas Passenger Terminal. See you in December! :)

Location and contact.

We went to Cruise Bar two celebrate our 53rd Wedding Anniversary. The staff were confused and distracted with other things. There was no table service, we sat for a long time before someone told us to order from the counter. We ordered oysters (6) they... we so small I had to put my reading glasses on to see them. My wife orders Fish and chips, she said it was great. I ordered the ocean trout, it also was very nice, no it was great also. The food was great, the service was very lacking, we had to ask for water, servietts, when the water did come the waiter spilt water over me opening the bottle Would I go back again , probably not, service was so bad. So sad as the food was great More

Dropped in on a Sunday lunch for food and drink. The bar staff were not the best, slow in action and strangely offering a glass with ice and straw for none alcohol beer. (And when my wife asked for another glass they offered her ice... again …). And the glass she received was dirty and wasn’t used. Food was okay for a bar. More

The food was great, but the place was so loud with a party. We were looked after by manager Sammy. He was so obliging and changed our seats where it was a little quieter. If only anll managers were like him! All the ‘bench-style’ tables... were taken by two groups and the only seating available was on the lounge and coffee tables. Unfortunately tonight there was a ship on port and it blocked any view(but we knew that) and we were advised about it. We would certainly go back on a night when there are no large groups. The food is worth going for. More

Shocking experience. Beginning from booking last year to the day of the party. Event management staff is incompetent and rude together with their general manager. My chosen vine list was printed wrong, the table numbers were missing and And they had to print them on... the spot, the food was everage and to top it up they embarrassed me in front of all my guests by not providing all the food that was printed on the menu. I would suggest the management to train their staff to provide better customer service or change them altogether. This venue is good for drinks only and dont have an experience to hold big sit down formal dinners ( Even though my party was only 55 people) Would never recommend that venue to anyone More

We decided to take our elderly parents to the Cruise Bar the night before they embarked on a trip of the lifetime cruise the following day. As we had a booking for dinner elsewhere, we thought we would enjoy Happy Hour at this establishment. After... having been given normal drinks menus, we had to ask for the Happy Hour menus, which are separate and smaller. The bottled Peroni beer listed had, according to staff, run out. When asked if the Peroni beer on tap was included in the Happy Hour prices, we were told yes. We were later charged the full price. Be aware that house white and bubbles are included in this charade but Rose is not.. again not explained when we ordered. We had to ask twice for an ordered cheese platter, and when it arrived after 30 minutes, had only 4 crackers! Staff were chaotic, unreliable and disinterested. Our view was nothing like what appears on the website, but that of an enormous Ship wall. Clearly geared towards weary and desperate travellers, take this place off your list if you want to enjoy with family and friends More

Where do I start??! We paid 200pp for Melbourne Cup and after waiting 20 minutes to walk in (the package was meant to start at 12) we finally get in. Once we get there (after they waste time because they can't locate anyone's names) we're... told we're sharing table with strangers (at the rooftop package, and there's absolutely no info about this on the receipts we paid for.) Of 5 tables on the rooftop there was just 1 getting service, they had 1 of which wine, beer and drink from the drinks package served to their table whilst everyone else had to keep going to the bar to ask for drinks. There was a hair on the food as you can see in the photo, and we got no apologies from it as the server replaced it.They got a laugh from it as well as "it happens". We were not given any napkins and had to wait 30min for it after the request. Please see the photo I've uploaded for the "best dressed male". YES. That was it. A white casual shirt with a bege pants. Nothing more, nothing less. YES!!!! It was the ONE table given drinks and table service. Hilarious, isn't it? Also, this same table got cocktails outside of the package, whilst when a lady from my table went to the bar to request for a glass of wine that was not on the drinks package and said she would pay for it, she was refused service. ????? Also, stay away from the food. They served us warm raw seafood. I feel like throwing $400 on the bin is the same thing as dining here, with low quality food and absolutely awful service. I will never come back here and won't recommend this to anyone. More

Extremely poor service by management! Having a staff member aggressively approach me and my guest while trying to express our dissatisfaction with our time at this venue. Not only did we ask to speak to management but manger by the name of Nathan completely brushed... off our concerns and did not help resolve the issue or reprimand the staff member who was aggressive towards us when trying to make a complaint. Noting that our group had spent more than $1K in drinks within a couple of hours which seemed to have no impact on the staffs response to us. Will never book a corporate function at this venue again. More

Place has a nice view and bar staff was nice. Main security had some issues tho, he was terrorising customers as they were travelling between the bar and table to get the drink. They even throw my drinks I just bought without my permission, we... spend thousands $ in this place but it was disappointing, security guard really aggressive to costumers. I think some people were thrown out after midnight because of standing up beside their table, while everyone was standing up during fireworks. Security ruins the place, owners/management should intervene. More

I have just been here to have the crab and chorizo stuffed sea trout and it was absolutely delicious. The crispy skin on the trout was the best I have ever had. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff made the whole experience perfect.

cruise bar restaurant

The glass of Coopers beer I had was very poor quality. I consider I have knowledge regarding the quality of tap beers and the beer I received was served in a dirty glass. Considering the price charged for drinks at the Cruise Bar one would... expect to receive quality drinks. They need to learn how to effectively clean their glasses More

We Ordered the Pimms cocktail jug. The Photograph on the menu was full of fruit. (Berries, apple, mint) What we received had a slice of lemon & lime. When we went back to the bar I showed the bar man the image on the menu... which we ordered on from the app. He didn’t apologise or seem too happy to have to change it. All he said was “that’s pimms”He took the jug from us and started to fix it. The other waitress over seeing this apologised and said she’d bring it down. Wouldn’t recommend here. The quality of cocktail & service wasn’t friendly. You can see the before & after pics of the cocktail attached. More

Worst place in Sydney I have been too … everything is bad about you guys . Time to shut it down and go home . Spare the paying customers . I can’t imagine anyone still running this . Simple fries seemed to be cooked 12hours... ago . No service , bad food , bad ambience More

Last night in Sydney so we ordered the seafood platter ($160) and a couple of glasses of wine. Had to go and find water and serve ourselves. Ordered our meal via the Q code (whatever happened to table service?) …. Platter was totally underwhelming ….... Chewy mussels, padded out with a lot (!) of lukewarm fries, calamari had seen better days (lukewarm also) and the lobster was decidedly average as well. More

I have been to the Cruise bar about 5-6 times in the last two years, always with some Aussie friends. Today I went to get a drink with my husband and asked if we could enter. The security did not want us crowding the entrance... so they told me to stand in a corner a little far away . After that the security staff came to me and said that we would not be allowed to enter since we were wearing running shoes ( which is what I have been wearing to Cruise bar every time I’ve been there and it has not been a problem so far). About 10 seconds after the security told us we would not be allowed inside, a couple wearing the same were allowed in, clearly the colour of their skin made the shoes invisible. If you don’t want people of colour /a different country to come in, just put up a sign. Wait, you can’t do that anymore. Racist . Racist. Racist. More

We had quite a large group of friends getting together which can be a bit daunting for any venue but absolutely nothing was s problem for the delightful staff at Cruise Bar! sensational harbour views, delicious cocktails & nibbles & great live musical all provided... the perfect ambience for a wonderful night out for us all. A few of us have visited Cruise more recently for a quieter, more relaxed evening & the vibe was the same, simply wonderful! Can highly recommend More

The Cruise Room

Step through history at our denver bar.

The Cruise Room is a revered local landmark, and among the most beloved of Denver bars.  Sleek and inviting, this icon of Denver nightlife is a hidden gem; one that embodies the chic glamour (not to mention the undercover debauchery) of the Prohibition era.

Born the day after the repeal in 1933, The Cruise Room is Denver’s longest-running bar, and has remained open since its founding. Drawing inspiration from the RMS Queen Mary, the space’s décor showcases a wide array of unique vintage design features, including a distinctly retro Art Deco design and wine bottle-shaped layout. Inside, guests will discover the perfect spot to while the night away while sipping on one of our delicious cocktails, or sampling our enticing menu of small plates. When here, be sure not to miss our famous Martini. We’d never dare insinuate that it’s the best in town, but thankfully we don’t have to — as many others have done so on our behalf.

Join us at The Cruise Room, and enjoy an indulgent escape at Denver’s most historic bar.

Sunday - Thursday: 5PM to 10PM

Friday and Saturday: 5PM to 12AM

Please note that The Cruise Room does not currently accept reservations. Walk-ins welcomed!

Service hours are subject to change. To confirm specific hours of operation, please call (303) 262-6070.

17 best cruise ship bars

Fran Golden

The best bars on cruise ships are more than just places to drink. They're destinations with atmosphere and attitude — plus creative approaches to sipping.

You might have your drink prepared by a robot or by a human in a chamber kept at 17 degrees Fahrenheit, or in a bar that levitates while you "travel" through hyperspace.

Whether you're a fan of the perfect martini or craft beer, or you're looking for mixologists who concoct molecular cocktails that sizzle or smoke, check out these cruise ship bar favorites.

Half Moon Bar

cruise bar restaurant

The most noteworthy of Holland America 's bars is the Half Moon Bar, which is new to the fleet and only found on Rotterdam . It offers a menu that's one part history, one part science.

This venue's highlights include seven exclusive mixed drinks, each with a backstory and ties to the cruise line's deep-rooted history. A favorite — for its photo-worthiness as much as its taste — is the Rotterdam VII (named after the only ship on which it's found), which features smoked gin and maraschino. Beer and wine are also available.

The bar has taken up residence where you'd find wine-mixing bar Blend on other Pinnacle Class ships, and, due to its small size and understandable popularity, it's often so crowded you have to wait for a seat.

Alchemy Bar

A popular fixture on most Carnival Cruise Line ships, this bar is themed on a pharmacy — complete with apothecary jars — and helmed by specially trained bartenders wearing lab coats who are ready to cure what ails you. You order on a prescription pad, and while there is a fun menu with categories such as Energizing Elixirs and Passion Portions, it's also a treat to just check off some of your favorite flavors and see what the bartenders "prescribe" for you. If all else fails, try the Cucumber Sunrise, an Alchemy Bar staple.

Sugarcane Mojito Bar

cruise bar restaurant

On Norwegian Cruise Line 's Breakaway and Breakaway-Plus Class ships , check out this Havana-themed venue with indoor and outdoor seating and live Latin-Cuban music. Watch the sun go down from the alfresco promenade while sipping unusual mojitos such as Spicy Passion, Pineapple Coconut and Raspberry Guava. If you can't decide, go with a flight combining sweet and savory selections.

Blue Eye Lounge

You might not expect one of the coolest bar choices at sea to be on a small ship, but that's the case on French line Ponant 's Explorer Class 184-passenger Le Laperouse and its four sister ships. The multisensory lounge is below the water line and has two huge, whale-eye-shaped portals for watching the sea. The dark space makes you feel like you are inside a whale, except it's decorated with swanky "body listening" couches that gently vibrate to undersea acoustics. It's eerie, fancy and fabulous. Order a martini, and pretend you're James Bond.

Schooner Bar

cruise bar restaurant

The Schooner Bar is Royal Caribbean 's signature watering hole, featuring a classic nautical vibe. It's the place to hear live piano music and compete in daily trivia. The bar is so popular that you might have trouble finding a free table. A recently revamped cocktail menu has solidified its position as a top Royal Caribbean drinking spot; we recommend the Toasted Marshmallow Old Fashioned.

Ooh La La and Pink

The Champagne Bars on two of Disney Cruise Line 's ships have their own themes, but they're equally intriguing. Ooh La La, found on Disney Fantasy, is set up like a French boudoir with delightfully lavish decor — think lots of gold, velvet and ornate furniture — with dim lighting that makes you feel almost naughty for stepping inside. Pink, on Disney Dream, carries a bubble theme as an ode to the drink on which it's based. Keep an eye out for pink elephants that dance around the walls every so often.

One of the best cocktails to try at either location is the Icy Pop — a fruity, refreshing ice pop served in a large glass of Champagne.

cruise bar restaurant

When it debuted on Celebrity Cruises ' Celebrity Edge in 2018, Eden — a restaurant, bar, deli and performance space all rolled into one venue — had cruisers scratching their heads. A strange, trippy three-hour show that featured acrobats who came a little too close to the audience was complemented by a list of equally curious drinks from the nearby Eden bar.

As notable for their unique ingredients as they are for their eye-wateringly high prices, the drinks — now available on two different menus across the line's Edge Class vessels — are masterfully concocted, featuring some of the most jaw-dropping presentations we've ever seen. Think treasure boxes, smoke and glasses in the shape of apples. It's not just hype, though; every drink on the menu is fantastic.

Royal Caribbean's wine bar, Vintages, is generally one of the line's least crowded bars, which appeals to anyone looking for a quiet drink before dinner. Tastings happen there throughout each sailing, and an extensive wine list makes it easy to find something you'll enjoy during other times of the day. Even if you're not a wino, Vintages — often found in Central Park on ships that have neighborhoods — also serves tapas that are worth trying if you're feeling peckish. Plus, the laid-back but classy setting makes it the perfect place to sip and socialize.

cruise bar restaurant

Sip, the Champagne bar on Virgin Voyages ' ships, is one of the most popular bars on board . Because you have to pass through it to reach the theater, you can't miss it.

Elegantly appointed with creams, tans and jewel tones, it's set up with a bar on one side of the walkway that runs through it and plush, comfortable alcove seating on the other, near windows that provide sea views. It's the place to go to snag a glass of bubbly while you take in live music at night or to enjoy afternoon tea during the day.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Brewhouse

Guy's Pig & Anchor Brewhouse is the place to sip Carnival's exclusive Parched Pig craft brews made by a brewmaster on each ship. There's a smoked porter, farmhouse ale and hoppy IPA, among other selections. If you're indecisive, go with a flight.

The bar is found on Carnival Horizon, Carnival Panorama, Mardi Gras , Carnival Celebration and Carnival Jubilee. The outlets on those ships also offer brewery tours and the opportunity to dive into hickory-smoked barbecue selections from Food Network star Guy Fieri. The RedFrog Pub and Brewery on Carnival Vista has the beers, too, but with pub grub.

Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge

cruise bar restaurant

Live out your Star Wars fantasies in the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge on the new 4,000-passenger Disney Wish . The door to this cozy bar whooshes as you enter the space, styled like a luxury space yacht ready to jump between galaxies. (It does so thanks to projections of outer space on "virtual" windows and a top-rate, rumbling sound system.) Order up Coruscant The Chancellor, a cognac cocktail "enjoyed by the senate elite members."

Golden Lion Pub

On Cunard ships, including ocean liner Queen Mary 2, the Golden Lion replicates a real British pub, from the dark wood, leather banquettes and stools to the darts tournaments and pub quizzes. Sample a wide selection of beers and ales, including three craft beers from award-winning U.K. microbrewery Dark Revolution. Or go with a traditional Pimm's Cup (made with a gin-based liquor, fresh fruit and ginger ale). The pub grub menu features fish 'n' chips and bangers and mash (sausages and mashed potatoes).

cruise bar restaurant

Located in the main lounge on 228-passenger Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours ' Scenic Eclipse , this bar boasts more than 110 bottles of whisky on the wall, all in a floor-to-ceiling showcase backlit for dramatic effect. Among the golden-brown liquids, you'll find single malts such as a 25-year-old Glendullan, a 30-year-old Jura The Loch and a 16-year-old Lagavulin. Big-name super-premium blends are well represented in a collection that gathers bottles from around the world, including Australia, Japan, France, India, Taiwan, South Africa, the United States, Scotland, Ireland and Sweden. Drinks are included in the cruise fares.

Fortune Teller

Exclusively on Carnival Cruise Line's 5,200-passenger Mardi Gras, the Fortune Teller stands out for its cool New Orleans vibe. It's located in the big ship's French Quarter (where Chef Emeril Lagasse also has his first seagoing bistro) and features creative drinks, Victorian decor and a voodoo allure. Drinks change color, smoke or otherwise impress. The Crystal Ball comes topped with a hazy orb where you might or might not see your future after drinking the concoction of Herradura Silver Tequila, Green Chartreuse, agave nectar and lime.

Martini Bar & Crush

cruise bar restaurant

On most Celebrity Cruises ships, the popular Martini Bars are classy, tucked-away spaces featuring a collection of rare vodkas (and the option of caviar, too) served from an ice-topped bar. The bartenders do more than just pour the drinks; they entertain like Tom Cruise in the movie "Cocktail," flipping and juggling shakers and pouring multiple drinks at once from a stack of them.

On Edge Class ships, the action moves to the Grand Plaza under a breathtaking, color-changing three-deck light fixture. Go with a dirty martini or a Candied Apple (Gray Goose, apple schnapps, pomegranate juice and butterscotch schnapps).

Good Spirits At Sea

Every cocktail at this Princess Cruises bar comes with a story, created in partnership with the TV series Good Spirits. Drinks are made from liquor and other ingredients gathered from around the world, including farm-fresh, local ingredients from cruising destinations. A mixologist does the preparation while giving detailed explanations. Get up-close views of the drink-making on a video screen behind the bar, found on select ships. Sample a Grappa Peach while learning about its origins in Uruguay, or try a Bangkok Mule made with whiskey, ginger and lemongrass.

Founders Bar

cruise bar restaurant

If you like your cocktails crafty, the Founders Bar on Oceania 's new Vista will keep you coming back for more. You don't bother with wine or beer there; it's not worth the wait to order anything not on the menu of creative concoctions. Try drinks pumped full of smoke in a box, spritzed with flavor from perfume-style bottles, topped with bubbles from a Flavor Blaster Gun or centered on a frozen fruity ice cube. Don't forget your phone because every beverage is as picturesque as it is delicious.

Gimmicky bars worth a mention

Some cruise ship bars emphasize interesting concepts over quality drinks or, conversely, pour flashy beverages in dull spaces with absolutely no atmosphere. If you're looking for bragging rights or to try something new, check out these entertaining bars that are a one-and-done experience.

Magic Carpet Bar

Each of Celebrity's Edge Class vessels is equipped with a giant orange apparatus on its starboard side. Known as the Magic Carpet, it can move up and down the side of the ship, where it serves various functions (including a tender platform), depending on the deck on which it stops.

When it's positioned on Deck 14, near the pool, or Deck 5, when it turns into an open-air dining venue, the Magic Carpet is a great place for passengers to grab a drink. Although the beverages aren't anything particularly notable, the atmosphere is spectacular, offering drool-worthy views, comfortable seating and an ocean breeze, sometimes with live music to boot.

Rising Tide Bar

cruise bar restaurant

On Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class ships , this popular bar moves smoothly up and down three decks on a slow, 20-minute ride. There are seats for 32 imbibers who sip as they travel between the bustling Royal Promenade and tree-lined Central Park. The popular drink: A Kir Royale (creme de cassis and Champagne). You must be at least 21 to take a ride in this elevator. It's fun to try, but it's not a place people tend to return to again and again.

SKYY Vodka Ice Bar

Who doesn't want to put on a parka in the Caribbean? On select Norwegian Cruise Line ships, you'll want to bundle up for this icy bar, located in a chamber always kept at 17 degrees Fahrenheit and decorated with ice sculptures and cool color lights. You sit on ice blocks while bartenders serve average vodka drinks on ice and in ice glasses.

cruise bar restaurant

Royal Caribbean's Quantum Class ships, as well as the Oasis Class' Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas, take drink-making out of the hands of human bartenders and put it into the hands — or, rather, robotic arms — of machines. The robots, with names such as Rock'Em and Sock'Em, can't make every drink in the book, but they can shake up a signature Bionic Tea (think: Long Island Iced Tea), sliding it to you across a bar top. Order your selections by communicating via a smartpad. George Jetson would be impressed.

Although the robots are fun to watch, the messy and impersonal experience does not make you want to hang out for hours at this futuristic watering hole.

Metropolitan Bar

On Norwegian Cruise Line's new Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva , this sustainability-focused bar specializes in handcrafted zero-waste cocktails. The idea is to combine surplus ingredients with sustainable spirits in creative ways. The signature Primadonna, a take on an Old-Fashioned, is made with surplus banana peels and Flor De Cana rum, which is produced with 100% renewable energy. There's also a line of responsibly sourced botanical gins and 20 biodynamic wines produced via organic farming methods. While we love the concept, the ambience is lacking, which is likely why the Metropolitan Bar was frequently uncrowded.

10 Cozumel Restaurants & Bars Right at the Cruise Port

Had your fill of the ship’s buffet? Can’t stand another meal in the dining room? Or maybe you just want to go explore, grab a bite to eat on land, and enjoy your time in port over a meal and a drink.

Pancho's Backyard tacos

No matter your reason for wanting to eat right near the Cozumel cruise port, we have you covered with a number of options for you to enjoy.

Cruise ships that visit Cozumel primarily dock at one of two piers located on the western side of the island. These piers lead to port areas all designed to cater to cruise passengers. There you will find dozens of shops, plenty of restaurants, bars, and things to see.

That means you can go and grab something tasty without having to venture far.

We’ve rounded up a list of restaurants all within the port areas of the main terminals of Cozumel. These restaurants are nearly in the shadow of the cruise ships.

Many of these restaurants are popular American brands that will sound familiar. Others are local joints that can give you a little of the island’s flavor. Either way, they all offer a place to grab a bite to eat with the convenience of being right near the ship.

Be sure to see the map at the end of this article, showing all the restaurants on our list.

One note: There are two main piers in Cozumel. The International Pier (where Royal Caribbean ships dock) is located north of Puerta Maya (where Carnival brands dock). The two piers feature dedicated port areas that are closed off from each other. We’ve specified which pier the restaurants below are located.

Three Amigos (Puerta Maya)

Three Amigos, Cozumel

Three Amigos is a touristy bar and restaurant that’s loosely based on the classic comedy film by the same name (seriously, they have an “El Guapo” burger). As you would expect in a cruise port, the drinks flow freely and it’s a party atmosphere. Three Amigos serves classic Tex-Mex fare like nachos and guacamole, as well as burgers. You’ll also find plenty of colorful tropical drinks and margaritas if you’re thirsty.

From this spot you’ll have a great view looking back to your ship and it’s not a far walk should you have a little too much before you need to return to the ship.

Price: $15-25 per person | Read reviews of Three Amigos

Fat Tuesday (Puerta Maya)

As you would expect with a name like Fat Tuesday, this bar and restaurant has a Mardi Gras theme. Famous for its daiquiris, the restaurant also has a full menu of bar food, including hamburgers, nachos, wraps, and sandwiches. There is also Mexican food items like fajitas as well.

The vibe is definitely one of a party atmosphere. Don’t be surprised if there’s a bit of loud music and dancing. Something about huge frozen daiquiris seems to put people in a fun mood!

Price: $15-25 per person | Read reviews of Fat Tuesday

Pancho’s Backyard (Puerta Maya)

Pancho's Backyard in Cozumel, Mexico

If you want to a nice spot to dine near the cruise ship, sip some drinks, eat some great food, but be away from the party scene, then Pancho’s is a good choice.

It’s a relaxing atmosphere and more upscale (though not stuffy), right near the waterfront — you can literally see the cruise ships from the restaurant. The menu is Mexican food, but a little more authentic than the Tex-Mex served at other places. You can get nachos and quesadillas, but also ceviche and shrimp. Pancho’s is also famous for its margaritas.

Note: Free Wi-Fi is also available, making it a nice stop if you want to check your email on your phone.

Price: $15-25 per person | Read reviews of Pancho’s Backyard

Bar Mandy (International Pier)

Perhaps the most “low-key” of the places to eat, Bar Mandy is a casual open-air bar that you’ll find in the port area. It’s not fancy, but that’s the point. Stop in and grab a beer or a cocktail for a few bucks (be sure to bring cash; credit cards aren’t accepted).

Want something to eat? You’re in luck. There are tons of Mexican-food options available, from simple things like chips and guacamole to lobster burritos. Don’t expect fine china and white tablecloths here, however!

It’s great for both kids and adults and it’s perfect for one last bite to eat before heading back to the ship.

Price: $10-15 per person | Read reviews of Bar Mandy

Margaritaville (International Pier)

Margaritaville in Cozumel, Mexico

Ok, so it’s a bit of a tourist trap, but who cares when you are right on the water, watching the turquoise water of the Caribbean with a cold beer (or two) in your hand? There’s every type of booze you can imagine, as well as tons of bar food like “Volcano Nachos,” huge burgers, sandwiches, street tacos, and even ribs.

Like other bars in the area (Three Amigos, Fat Tuesday), expect the vibe to be lively with dancing, drinks, and an upbeat vibe. There are also plenty of places where you can get a fun souvenir photo and shopping for anything related to Jimmy Buffett.

Price: $20-30 per person | Read reviews of Margaritaville

Senor Frog’s (International Pier)

Senor Frogs in Cozumel

Perhaps the original of the upbeat “party” bars, Senor Frog’s has a well-known reputation as a place to relax, let loose, and have a drink. The location at the Cozumel pier is no different, sitting under a large palapa right on the water. There’s fantastic views back toward the ship.

As for the food, expect the typical Mexican beach fare. Guacamole, tacos, nachos are all on the menu, as are burgers, wings, and more. Drinks? Beer and tequila are popular, which might put you the mood to dance. The good news? That’s highly encouraged at this sort of spot.

Price: $15-25 per person | Read reviews of Senor Frog’s

Cafe Punta del Cielo (International Pier)

If you’re wanting your coffee fix while in port, this is the place. The small café serves coffees, desserts, and pastries in an upscale, modern atmosphere. Wi-Fi is available, making it a nice spot to sit, relax, and email people back home to tell them how much fun you’re having on your cruise.

If you just want to hang out a little bit before heading back to the ship, this is ideal.

Price: $5-10 per person | Read reviews of Cafe Punta del Cielo

Hard Rock Cafe (Across from International Pier)

Technically this spot is outside of the port, but it’s so close that we will include it.

Hard Rock Café is a classic restaurant with locations everywhere from Cozumel to New York City. The food is definite American fare, so if you’re craving a big steak, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches or even a Caesar salad, then it’s your place.

What we think is coolest about Hard Rock is the memorabilia. There’s also a shop where you can get just about anything with Hard Rock written on it. (It’s also supposedly the smallest Hard Rock location in the world.)

Price: $15-25 per person | Read reviews of Hard Rock Cafe

Ix Kool (Across from International Pier)

The highest-rated restaurant in Cozumel on TripAdvisor? It’s this spot located in the Royal Village Shopping Center, which is just across from the International pier. It offers up Mayan cuisine, which may be something you haven’t experienced before. There are classic dishes like guacamole and ceviche, but also lots of offerings like pork tacos and papadzules (corn tortillas dipped in pumpkin seed sauce).

While it’s a bit adventurous, the reviews are outstanding, as is the service. If you want a meal that’s more authentic compared to what you usually find around the port, this is the place.

Price: $10-15 per person | Read reviews of Ix Kool

San Juan Snack Bar (Across from International Pier)

Another low-key spot to grab a snack and a drink, San Juan is outside the port area but not a far walk. You’ll find that its less expensive than the restaurant/bars closer in to the ship and often has 2-for-1 drink specials. As far as eats, it’s typical Mexican fare (guac, nachos, quesadillas, etc.), along with some American items like chicken strips if you have kids that are picky eaters.

One nice perk is the free wi-fi, allowing you to check-in back home instead of the pricey service found on the ship.

Price: $10-15 per person | Read reviews of San Juan

Steak & Seafood

The Wake brings a modern twist to the classic chophouses of the mid-20th century. Once you've made your way down the grand staircase, you'll enter a world that harks back to the old steakhouse, three-martini-lunch days of Madison Avenue ad men. But, thankfully, with gender equality now and, you know, no cigar smoke.

With the largest selection of tequila and mezcal at sea, and DJ beats to amp up the energy, we won’t judge if you order one of everything… and end up dancing on tables by the end of the night.

Lively Korean BBQ

If you're into hands-on meat grilling and soju drinking, our Korean BBQ is *the* perfect spot to do all that. Every meal at Gunbae begins with a Korean drinking game that includes a complimentary shot of soju. And since we all have that one friend who insists on being the meat master, this is the time to roast the master while the master roasts the meat. GUNBAE!

IRRESISTIBLY ITALIAN

Extra Virgin

Wait, there’s (a lot) more.

We’ve replaced the traditional single dining hall with an array of mouthwatering eateries always included.

The Test Kitchen

Inspired by Escoffier's Ma Cuisine, its evolving, chef-driven tasting menus are presented as an ingredient list — but the cooking techniques, presentation, and flavors are explored in ways you've never seen. With innovative and experiential classes like Mixology and coffee labs, you’ll try different methods and components for unique results.

Lick Me Till… Ice Cream

With six home (er... ship) made flavors to choose from, our scoop shop is the perfect stop for a mid-day or late-night snack. Vegan? Don't worry — we got you covered.

An effortlessly elegant yet cozy counterpart to the view-focused scene outside. The Dock House delivers bright flavors with live acoustic sounds. Enjoy some flame-grilled skewers or bites like house-made pita and dips from the roving Mezze cart.

The Pizza Place

Here you have complete control over your pie — from the dough to the cheese, a little cracked pepper, a little ricotta, and any other topping you want… Or you can just choose from the class menu and lounge on the hammocks outside.

The Social Club

From fairground staples like pretzels and hotdogs to modern takes on milkshakes and floats, The Social Club is perfect for playing a good game of air hockey, shuffleboard, foosball, and more.

Your go-to for a quick bite, meal, or pick-me-up throughout the day. Featuring a mix of shops and food-truck-style carts. The Galley boasts a dedicated bakery and pastry shop, a panini shop, a burger grill, a taco shack, a sushi bar with bento boxes, a noodle bar, a soup and salad stand, and a 24-hour American diner.

Noodle Around

Richly-flavored masterpieces for which Chinatown’s Shinka has won several awards, they found a new home in The Galley, snuggled between the udon soup specials on Noddle Around’s slurp-worthy menu.

Ratings and reviews

Location and contact, top 3 reasons to eat here.

Decided to try Cruise with my friends. We didn’t have a booking and was a busy Friday night but the receptionist was very helpful and found us a table I highly appreciated it considering was 5 of us. The food is just amazing! Simple but... flavours and textures are so well executed, the vibes of the place are so cool and the value for money on food and drinks is amazing! We met the Manager Matias and he was so funny and helpful. After dinner at the restaurant he arranged a table us a table in their terrace for after dinner drinks and he drop some digestive shots for us. Thank you Cruise team we will definitely come back! Make a reservation! This is a very popular hotel with local staycationers as they have very attractive stay & dine packages which includes dinner at Cruise. We had come to Cruise for their happy hour once, at around 5:30pm, thinking we didn't need a reservation... only to find out the hotel was basically booked out. Still, the staff were friendly & accomodative after we said we could be done by 6:30pm. The happy hour snacks are fantastic and for drinks we especially loved 'The Drake' which is made with... passionfruit (lol)! After that visit we were keen to try the dinner here and came back a couple of months later. On our next visit, we had the Feed Me dinner set and it was awesome. Every dish served was great. The 'surprise dish' was perhaps slighly disppointing because it was just calamari from the bar snacks menu which we had before, but at the same time that is probably one of the best calamari bar snacks I've had, so I guess that sort of evens out. In any case we were completely stuffed by the end of our meal. Special mention to Vivian & Alvin who were such attentive and proactive servers! You could feel they genuinely loved their job and wanted to make sure we got good service. In fact it was refreshing to feel that all the staff in the restaurant really felt like they loved their job. It's been a long time since we've been to a restaurant in HK where it felt spacious (high ceilings, tables far enough apart) + great service + great food + great cocktails. We'll be back soon! More

CRUISE provided a relaxed and casual vibe. The service there is very attentive, epecially is a male staff, his name called Ricky. Ricky is really helpful. The restaurant serves up mouthwatering foods delights in a unbeatable atmosphere. More

We been to the Hyatt Centric twice this year because of the COVID-19. For our third staycation trip, we have booked the “We miss Thailand package”, which included Thai massage and a Thai set dinner at the Cruise restaurant and a breakfast on the next... day. The Thai massage has been a wonderful experience where the staff are friendly and experienced and the Thai dinner served by Ricky, who is friendly and professional to taking care of us. I would recommend other people’s to try and you won’t regret it. More

Visited as part of the "we miss thailand" hyatt centric staycation package. The cruise was definitely the highlight of the entire trip! My wife and I had recently visited the Michelin star Tin Lung Heen and the Butterfly Room at Rosewood, if we were to... rank among these three, the Cruise was on top as our favorite and we would definitely visit again. This remarkable dining experience full of pleasure began shortly after our reservation. Staff of the Cruise reached out to us via whatsapp for the arrangement. It was for my wife's birthday and I made an outrageous request of having a Japanese note on the birthday dessert. They magically accomplished our wishes and made it a perfect dining experience. The Thai food went way beyond our expectations! The staff and manager of the night were also attentive with great hospitality! I feel guilty of not asking for names to praise them here! But we WILL BE BACK! Highly recommend this restaurant to all! Lastly, having said that the Cruise was our most recent visit among other high-ended restaurants, we wonder how Michelin stars didnt land on this brilliant restaurant! Thankyou again and Cheers! More

The We Miss Thailand experience was awesome. The Crusie dinner was great as always. The appetizers, the mains and of course my favorite mango sticky rice with crunchy coconut (& I dont even normally like coconut). Our server Ricky had a genuine smile that the... mask didn't mask and was so friendly and attentive. I also love the music they play there. The view from Cruise is stunning. I love being able to see the pool from the Crusie terrace. Everywhere we went at the hotel, staff was nice and welcoming. I gotta be honest, we are two serial spa and massage goers especially when we travelled to thailand (normally at least 10 hours of spa/massage for a three day weekend), the massages we had here were not really thai stretch or thai anything and not at all near acceptable for a massage at a hotel. There are a few great and authenticly thai massage places we go to regularly in HK, so great thai masseuses are available in HK. Further training is definitely required or perhaps the hotel may consider collaborating with a more authentic thai massage/spa in HK. For my birthday, we ordered a blackforest cake from the Farmhouse. The cake was not good. The cherry layer was too liquidy and liquid seeped through the not so good cake layers making the cake soggy. The chocolate thins were thin enough; however, the chocolate itself was of average quality. Still, overall a great experience and an exceptional deal. Love the Thail theme. The Cruise restaurant and service made this exceptionally memorable. I have been waiting to try their Wednesday night crab night. Couldnt get a reservation for that before, hope i will be able to try that soon. More

I've been coming here since it was Hotel Vic and after a shaky transition to Hyatt Centric, it seems to have found its sea legs, pun intended! ;-) The breathtaking terrace view is still one of the best reasons to come here but the recent... overhaul of wait staff and floor managers has injected a much needed efficiency, warmth and hospitality to this particular venue of the hotel. I've not seen a more dedicated staff than Hilton(Milton?) who rescued patrons from the sudden torrential downpour that came hard, fast and stranded them. He allowed himself to become soaked to the core as he switftly escorted them back into the dining area with an umbrella shielding only the guests and not himself. Just incredible to watch! Jay is another stand out member of the team with the coolest tattoos, friendly demeanour and a charming smile that lights up the room. We were only having wine all night but he seem to also have superb cocktail making skills from what I can see. Last but not least is the very sincere and attentive Guest Relations Manager Jeff who really makes you feel special with his ability to not only recall your face but call you by name as he welcomed you back to the venue even though it had been a month or so since we first met and chatted only briefly. This is a very impressive trait and you can tell he is very committed to ensuring every guest has the best dining experience possible. The food, however, is a bit hit and miss. The Sunday brunch we had for my mum's birthday was decent and they were willing to change one of the main dishes in the set to accommodate us but items from their a la carte menu that we have ordered on another evening were just ok. That said I would go back again and again for the incredible view and service. More

My friend and I attended brunch and were given a vegetarian shared option as I had stated in advance that she does not eat meat. The food was delicious and the freeflow option was excellent value - our glasses were continuously refilled before they had... a chance to reach anywhere near empty. The atmosphere was relaxed and the view was stunning. I would definitely recommend and revisit! Thank you to all the staff, especially Sayed for the excellent service! More

Had a birthday celebration with my boyfriend at the Cruise, and Sa Yed & Alvin were very attentive and friendly. The fusion food was exquisite and flavourful. I didn’t expect much for the free flow of drinks but the white and red wine was decent.... Would definitely recommend for anyone who would like to celebrate any occasion with their loved ones. A polaroid and a dessert with a chocolate congratulatory plate was offered. Will come here again and experience their ‘crab night’ next time! More

Having purchased another 10 sets of the "Work from Room" package, the lunch that is included at Cruise never ceases to impress. From the receptionist Genima to the restaurant staff (Ricky, Isabel, and Sayed), everything is purely a delight. I appreciate how they set aside... a special table for me everyday and Sayed recommended me to try one of their most popular desserts, the banana roti with milktea ice cream. (It sure did not disappoint and it was plate licking delicious). I would like to give a special mentioning to the restaurant manager, Jeff, who has led the team in such a professional manner. Jeff is accommodating and tries to delight his guests with special desserts. I can't share enough compliments about this restaurant and will look forward to my next round of "Work from Room" package again soon. More
