Interested in booking a cruise for a date or itinerary that hasn’t been announced yet? You can submit a booking request for a Disney cruise, even before Disney Cruise Line releases the schedule. Save yourself some stress and fill out the Small World Vacations Wait List form in advance and they’ll book your preferred cruise the first day you are eligible, at no cost to you! Plus, you can get up to $1000 in FREE onboard credit  courtesy of Small World Vacations! (All staterooms and cruises are subject to availability at the time of booking.)

Disney Cruise Line announces their cruise dates and itineraries for only a few months at a time: January through April, then May through September and finally, September through December. Once the new itineraries come out, booking begins just a day or two later, first to Castaway Club members (people who’ve been on a previous Disney cruise) and then to the general public.

The people who book earliest almost always get the lowest possible price . Sometimes there will be last-minute deals via the restricted guarantee fares or Florida Resident fares , but only a small percentage of cruises ever have those fares, and those fares aren’t always cheaper than opening day fares. In addition, early bookers get first dibs on staterooms, making it the best way to land one of the hardest-to-get staterooms like the Secret Porthole and Secret Verandah rooms. Lots of people know about these advantages, so on the days the new itineraries become available for booking, both the phone lines and website get slammed.

There’s an easy way to avoid the scramble to book on the first day the bookings open:  submit a request to Small World Vacations now. You just need basic information like where you want to go (Caribbean, Alaska, Norway, Europe, etc.), the date range you want, the kind of stateroom you want (inside, outside, verandah) and the names and ages of the people going. Let them know if you are a Castaway Club Member by including your Member Number and Level (Platinum, Gold or Silver). You can add other preferences or priorities as needed – early dining, lower deck, upper deck, not over a nightclub – whatever is important to you.  Their agents will review your request, contact you to confirm they understand your priorities, and then you can relax and let your personal agent book your cruise when the time comes. Your agent will provide their email and direct phone number, so you can discuss your options and preferences.

On the day the itineraries become available for your Castaway Club level, your agent will be up bright and early while you sleep in (or go about your usual day). If Disney releases a cruise that fits your criteria, your agent will typically go ahead and put a hold in place, thus reserving your stateroom(s), then email you with your cruise details and deposit information. You’ll be able to have your choice of room type and location and will lock in the opening day price. If later on you decide to change rooms on the same sailing, Disney will give you the opening day price on the new room , even if the price has gone up in the intervening days or months.

Even if you aren’t 100% sure whether you’re going to be able to go, there’s no real risk in getting a cruise booked early . Disney Cruise Line deposits for any stateroom types other than Concierge are fully refundable up to the Payment In Full date, which is 120-75 days before sailing, depending on the specific cruise and time of year. You have lots of time to figure out whether that cruise will work for you. If it doesn’t, you can get the deposit back or just transfer it to a different sailing date that works better.

The agents who handle cruise bookings for Small World Vacations have collectively sailed on more than 600 Disney cruises, and know a truly astonishing amount about all five ships, the various Disney ports of call, shore excursions and all the common itineraries (and many uncommon ones). Many of them are Platinum members of Disney’s Castaway Club, meaning that they have personally been on 10 or more Disney cruises! They’re happy to share their firsthand experience with the kids’ clubs, dining, character meets, entertainment, transportation, etc. In our experience, the travel agents at Small World Vacations are great at finding the best fares. They know all the tricks that will save you money, and they know the Disney Cruise Line inside and out. We’re confident that once you work with a really great travel agent, you’ll never want to book a cruise any other way. Read more about why we recommend using Small World Vacations to book your cruise!

  • If you are interested in booking a cruise that hasn’t been announced yet , fill out the Small World Vacations Wait List form and get on their Early Booking List!
  • Small World Vacations offers onboard credit of $50-$1000 per booking, good toward most onboard activities and extras such as spa treatments, shore excursions or even your bar tab. Small World Vacations also gives you full service, including a personal travel agent you can contact by email or direct phone number. Best of all, it costs you nothing to use them! 2025 Holiday Cruises, Themed Cruises & Other Special Cruises

Holiday cruises, themed cruises.

  • Double Dip Cruises

Repositioning Cruises

Unique cruises, adventures by disney cruise packages, disney vacation club cruises, independence day, halloween on the high seas, thanksgiving, very merrytime cruises (christmas), new year’s eve.

On sailings that include July 4th, there is usually a special celebration with characters dressed in red, white and blue outfits. There has not been a special fireworks show in the past, but sometimes on sailings in the Caribbean or Bahamas they move pirate night to July 4th so they will have fireworks on Independence Day. (There is no pirate night or fireworks on sailings outside the Caribbean and Bahamas.)

During this period there will be special Halloween events onboard, including Halloween-themed parties, storytellings, movies and elaborate décor, including The Pumpkin Tree, which magically transforms throughout the cruise. You will also find characters dressed in Halloween costumes, as well as a costume party for families and, just for adults, a costume contest and a Villainous Takeover on the dance floor in the nighttime entertainment district.

In the past there has not been any special menu for Halloween night itself, over and above what they do on all the Halloween themed cruises during the whole period, but there will be some special Halloween-themed treats.

In the past there has been a special menu on Thanksgiving Day, and pictures with Pilgrim Mickey and Minnie. The Christmas decorations will be fully up by Thanksgiving, and there will be a full set of holiday activities and events.

Typically, Christmas decorations will be up from early November through the final New Year’s sailing, and there will be special holiday events during that whole period, including meet and greets with Santa Claus and with Disney characters in special Christmas outfits. Some of the more elaborate Christmas decorations, including a huge, real gingerbread house or other gingerbread decoration, will not be up until later in November.

Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, will be transformed with “snow” flurries, a Christmas tree and more. Be on the lookout for Mr. and Mrs. Snowman, dressed in their island attire. Plus, the island’s tram is decorated to resemble a reindeer, complete with antlers and a tail.

There are unique special events and a special menu on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

There is a special party with countdown and balloon drop on New Year’s Eve.

  • If you are interested in booking a holiday Disney cruise , we recommend either Small World Vacations or Undercover Tourist . We have worked with both companies for over 15 years and can recommend them wholeheartedly. It’s really a question of whether you prefer full-service booking or self booking. These staterooms often sell out fast, so if you see one you like, snag it quickly.

Marvel Day at Sea

Marvel Day at Sea is a special all-day celebration of the Marvel Universe. Special features include multiple Marvel character meet-and-greets, Marvel-themed activities for families, Marvel movie screenings, a costume party, special merchandise and food, and an exclusive Marvel deck party. There is also an adults-only dance party with Star-Lord and Gamora.

Marvel Day at Sea will take place on select Disney Dream 5-night Bahamian and Western Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale in 2025. The Bahamian cruises depart on January 27; February 10, 24 and March 10. The Western Caribbean cruises depart on February 1, 15; March 1 and 15.

  • If you are interested in booking a themed Disney cruise , we recommend either Small World Vacations or Undercover Tourist . We have worked with both companies for over 15 years and can recommend them wholeheartedly. It’s really a question of whether you prefer full-service booking or self booking. These staterooms often sell out fast, so if you see one you like, snag it quickly.

Double Dip Cruises

A “Double Dip” sailing is one that visits Castaway Cay or Lighthouse Point twice on the same cruise, or goes to both of them on the same cruise. Many people (including us) feel the day at one of Disney’s private beaches is the highlight of a Bahamian or Caribbean cruise, and this gives you a double dose! Both days follow the typical Castaway Cay & Lighthouse Point schedule: off the ship at 8:30 am (depending on sea conditions), and all aboard at 4:45 pm. The same excursions and activities will be available both days, though if you want to do the same activity or book a cabana for both days, you’ll need to book each day separately. If you are going to Castaway Cay twice, you can run the Castaway Cay 5K twice!

In the rare event that the ship visits Castaway Cay or Lighthouse Point two days in a row, the ship will not stay docked overnight. It will leave the island at the usual time on the first day and come back the next morning.

Repositioning is when a cruise starts in one port and finishes in another. These cruises can be a good deal, as they usually are cheaper per night than conventional round-trip cruises. They also tend to go to more unusual locations. The longest repositioning cruises are the Panama Canal and Transatlantic cruises, which are almost always the cheapest cruises (per night) of the whole year.

Unique cruises have an itinerary that is different from other cruise itineraries that particular ship is sailing around that time. They either visit an unusual location or locations or visit a unique combination of common locations. Repositioning cruises are all unique as well.

  • If you are interested in booking a specialty Disney cruise , we recommend either Small World Vacations or Undercover Tourist . We have worked with both companies for over 15 years and can recommend them wholeheartedly. It’s really a question of whether you prefer full-service booking or self booking. These staterooms often sell out fast, so if you see one you like, snag it quickly.

2025 Adventures by Disney Cruise Packages have not yet been announced.

The Adventures by Disney Cruise Packages include 2 Adventures by Disney guides available onboard and in port; special VIP privileges; private onboard receptions; unique onshore activities; early debarkation at each port; all meals, snacks and water while in port; a photo CD with all ship photographer pictures, all Adventures by Disney guide photos and an Adventures by Disney slideshow.

  • If you are interested in booking an Adventures by Disney Cruise Package , we recommend filling out a quote form with Small World Vacations . They give you full service, including a personal travel agent you can contact by email or direct phone number and we recommend them wholeheartedly ! Best of all, it costs you nothing to use them, PLUS they give you FREE onboard credit for any Disney Cruise Line booking of over $1000 total fare, good toward most onboard activities and extras such as spa treatments, shore excursions or even your bar tab.

DVC member cruises are only open to Disney Vacation Club members who have purchased at least some of their vacation points directly from Disney (rather than from another member via resale). Members can use their vacation points to book the cruise or can pay cash rates. Typically DVC cruises are significantly more expensive than similar cruises for the general public, but guests will be given a wide variety of DVC special gifts and will get to experience some exclusive member events including talks by special guests including artists, imagineers and/or actors from classic Disney movies.

Whether the DVC member cruise is worth booking is a personal judgment call. The extra events are difficult or impossible to experience any other way. The various DVC gifts are usually a mix of the usual kinds of tote bags, pens, and so forth you can get by attending a DVC meeting or buying a new DVC contract, plus at least a few special and unique items. Some people love the DVC member cruises and try to go on each one. Others go once and feel it’s not worth the extra money.

Disney Cruise Line has announced the following Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member cruises for 2025:

  • January 4: 7-night Eastern Caribbean on the Disney Treasure
  • August 2: 5-night Western Caribbean on the Disney Dream

Adventure by Disney Pre- and Post-Cruise Escape Packages take place before and after select Disney Cruise Line sailings. These 2- to 3-night Escapes include 2 Adventure by Disney guides; hotel accommodations; multiple, daily excursions; special VIP privileges; all transportation during the trip and a photo CD with all the Adventure by Disney guide photos.

  • If you are interested in booking an Adventures by Disney Pre- or Post-Cruise Escape Package , we recommend filling out a quote form with Small World Vacations . They give you full service, including a personal travel agent you can contact by email or direct phone number and we recommend them wholeheartedly ! Best of all, it costs you nothing to use them, PLUS you could save up to $1,000!  Read more about the Small World Vacations savings offer here .

No drydock plans have been officially announced for 2025 yet.

Here’s Where Disney Cruise Line Sets Sail in Summer 2025

disney cruise europe 2025

Disney Cruise Line announced itineraries through Summer 2024 for the Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy legacy ships, plus the newer Treasure and Wish. There are sailings to popular ports of call in the Greek Isles, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean. This post covers the destinations, followed by commentary on pricing, our recommended destinations, and why we’ll be booking on opening day instead of waiting for a deal.

Note that “opening day” booking for the general public will begin on March 22, 2024. Do not call today–these itineraries cannot be booked yet by anyone. Prior to that, there will be a staggered advance booking period beginning next Monday. Here’s the eligibility timeline:

  • March 18, 2024 – Pearl Castaway Club Members
  • March 19, 2024 – Platinum Castaway Club Members, Golden Oak Club Residents
  • March 20, 2024 – Gold Castaway Club Members
  • March 21, 2024 – Silver Castaway Club Members, Disney Vacation Club Members, Adventures by Disney Insiders
  • March 22, 2024 – All Guests

It’s always a good idea to use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to do the work for you, but especially for opening day bookings. For one thing, using them to book your cruise is a great way to save time and stress. For another, their services are free to you since they’re paid commission by DCL on the reservation. You can also book directly on disneycruise.com or by calling Disney Cruise Line at 888-325-2500. Anyway, here are full details about the DCL Summer 2025 sailings…

Disney Fantasy Marks Inaugural Season in Europe – The Disney Fantasy will spend its first summer season in Europe in summer 2025, visiting incredible European destinations from  Northern Europe to the Mediterranean from May to late July .

Five  to 12-night sailings  from Barcelona, Spain and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy will call on picturesque ports of call throughout the Mediterranean, while one special 12-night sailing to the Greek Isles will feature three stops in Greece, two in Italy and the season’s only stop in Valetta, Malta.

From late July to September, the Disney Fantasy will sail from Southampton, United Kingdom to numerous destinations including Spain, Norway and British Isles.

Alaskan Adventures Return –  The Disney Wonder will once again embark on adventures to Alaska from Vancouver, Canada, with  five-, seven-, eight- and nine-night sailings from  May to September.

Families will encounter  the breathtaking natural beauty of the last frontier, combined with the magic of Disney, on cruises to  Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan , with port adventures that offer excursions to Alaska’s majestic glaciers and gold mining relics.

disney cruise europe 2025

Tropical Escapes from Florida –  Four Disney Cruise Line ships will homeport in Florida in summer 2025 with three ships out of Port Canaveral and one out of Fort Lauderdale for tropical escapes to the Bahamas and Caribbean, including Disney’s island destinations.

The new Disney Treasure will follow its inaugural season with seven-night itineraries from Port Canaveral to the Eastern and Western Caribbean .  Eastern Caribbean sailings will take families to Disney’s private island paradise, Castaway Cay, along with Tortola and St. Thomas.

Western Caribbean sailings aboard the new Disney Treasure will bring families to destinations such as Falmouth in Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. The week-long voyages will offer at least two days at sea, giving families more time to enjoy the unique spaces, immersive dining and world-class entertainment onboard the brand-new ship. Plenty of time to take semi-permanent residence inside the Haunted Mansion bar.

The Disney Magic will homeport in Port Canaveral for the first time since summer 2016, taking guests on four- and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and both of Disney’s island destinations (Castaway Cay and Lighthouse Point) .  One special 10-night  southern Caribbean sailing in July will take families to  both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations along with  Antigua, St. Kitts, San Juan and Tortola  in the British Virgin Islands.

In Summer 2025, both the Disney Magic and the Disney Dream will take guests to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, DCL’s one-of-a-kind retreat on the island of Eleuthera. The vibrant tropical getaway will provide a unique window into the rich culture of The Bahamas merged with Disney’s signature entertainment and service.

Select itineraries will include stops at both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, with six Disney Magic or Disney Dream cruises sailing exclusively to Disney’s island destinations, inviting guests to experience even more magic both onboard and on land.

T he Disney Wish will also sail from Port Canaveral, offering 3 and 4 night sailings to Nassau and the beloved beaches of Disney Castaway Cay. In South Florida, the Disney Dream will sail from Fort Lauderdale on 3 to 5-night sailings to one or both of Disney’s magical island destinations along with Nassau or Cozumel.

Here’s a listing of every single Disney Cruise Line sailing for Summer 2025:

disney cruise europe 2025

When it comes to commentary, I’m really looking forward to setting sail with Disney Cruise Line again. We had a Mediterranean Greek Isles cruise booked last summer for our anniversary, but it was one of several trips we cancelled when we found out we’d be having a baby. (The best-ever reason to cancel travel!)

As much as we’d love to rebook that cruise for Summer 2025, I’m  guessing  that won’t happen. (I have not consulted with Sarah, who may have other ideas. I’m not the captain when it comes to cruise planning.) It just seems like a lot with a toddler to try to make that time change and enjoy all of the ports. But who knows, perhaps we will.

Instead, maybe we’ll stay in the same time zone and take a do-over on one of the Alaska itineraries. Everyone else we knows–including Sarah’s parents–who have done that sailing had effusive praise and saw far more wildlife than we did. Not that we had a bad time by any means, I just feel like we didn’t have an optimal experience. My hesitation there would be that I don’t feel like it’s something we need  to redo just yet, and perhaps we’d be better off waiting a few years when Megatron can walk and would remember the experience. (Three year olds can do 5-mile hikes, right?!)

disney cruise europe 2025

Setting aside our personal preferences and priorities, if you’re looking for a recommendation, pretty much everyone who has done one will shower the Alaska itineraries with praise. They’re also pretty approachable, and Vancouver is a world-class city. However, our all-time favorite cruise is the Norwegian Fjords itinerary–by a pretty wide margin.

We cover the similarities and differences in Norway vs. Alaska Cruises , but the bottom line is that for us, Norway was much better. Others we know who have done both give the edge to Alaska–you really can’t go wrong either way. At some point, we’ll definitely be redoing both. (See our  Norway Disney Cruise Report & Planning Guide for more on our experience with the fjords voyage.)

In any case, I cannot say enough good things about the Norwegian Fjords cruises. If you have a child who is obsessed with  Frozen , it’s basically the perfect vacation that blends real-world destinations and culture with Disney. I cannot wait to revisit Norway, but that’s mostly to show it to our daughter and seeing it through her eyes–so we’re still several years off from that happening. She’ll probably be obsessed with  Frozen 3/4  by then!

disney cruise europe 2025

Every year opening day price-points make waves on social media, as prices always jump. This is not really a surprise at this point, but it’s nonetheless easy to be taken aback when first seeing each year’s prices…especially if you remember what prices were 5 years ago.

This has been  especially true  with Disney Cruise Line in the last couple of years as compared to the post-reopening period. We talk a lot about pent-up demand, and it’s important to recognize that DCL has seen a tremendously lagged version of that. Remember, there were restrictions in place through 2022, and ‘revenge travel’ didn’t really arrive in full force until last year.

We’ve had some sticker shock in looking at DCL prices lately, especially as compared to the post-reopening period when Sarah went on several sailings with friends–there were a ton of last minute steals back then. Now, it’s the opposite. Sorta like Walt Disney World in 2022 when resort discounts were scarce.

My  hope  is that a similar scenario plays out with Disney Cruise Line. That pent-up demand will start exhausting itself, discounts will return, and pricing will trend back towards “normal” levels. That’s probably wishful thinking, though. Walt Disney World is still up considerably since 2019, and that’s even before taking into account all of the cuts.

To that point, it’s worth noting that opening day stateroom rates are typically on the lower end of the eventual pricing spectrum. Which is to say that as itineraries start to book up and stateroom inventory becomes more scarce, rates invariably increase. Pricing is demand-based, with cruises in recent years rarely decreasing in price–increases are far more common. (Basically, this is my warning to  not  bank on the exhaustion of pent-up demand leading to price decreases. That’s my wishful thinking, but history is not on my side.)

disney cruise europe 2025

Ultimately, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with Disney Cruise Line, just like all other aspects of travel. We already have Megatron’s first cruise booked for this year (finally getting the chance for a do-over of the Very Merrytime Cruise) and my guess is that we’ll be doing another sailing in Summer 2025.

From my perspective, summer is the ideal time to do Disney Cruise Line–it’s my least-favorite time to travel pretty much everywhere else due to climate and crowds. (“Everywhere else” meaning the places I like to go: theme parks and National Parks.) Since the ships are capacity-constrained, largely indoors, and have a cool breeze outside in the evenings, I find them to be great summertime alternatives to the normal tourist destinations. There’s more to it than that, but anyway, that’s a rundown of the Disney Cruise Line itineraries for Summer 2025!

When you get back to this post, will you please elaborate a bit on the shoes and boots you packed for Alaska and Norway?

Many thanks.

Tom, We did multiple trips to Europe when our boys were under the age of five. Three with our now 9 year old when he was 2, 3 and 4 and two with our now 6 year old when he was 9mo and 1 year. Several trips since…they always adapt to the time change better than the adults! We learned after the first long haul trip that even though it saves a lot of money, always get them their own seat…so worth it in the end.

' src=

DON’T BOOK ANY OF THEM! Enjoy the “before School Age” years when you can save absolutely loads of money by sailing DCL at times when there are no school breaks. And frankly, with a little one, the relaxing Caribbean cruises where you can just enjoy a pina colada on a white sand beach while your kid builds castles in the shade of the umbrella are the way to go. You can book the overpriced summer sailings when you are forced to by draconian school districts in a few years.

But when that happens, Alaska is incredible.

You’re welcome.

' src=

Thanks for the advice!

Our “problem” (so to speak) is that we have a lot of travel we want to do before she starts school, and almost everywhere is going to have seasonal crowds, weather, and pricing.

So given that, I’d rather push the cruises to summer (even if it means paying an arm and a leg…he says, before seeing the actual pricing) and do the other things we enjoy more–and think will be impacted by crowds to an even greater degree–the rest of the year. Does that make sense?

A Disney Cruise is 1 of the best vacations with young children, as they actually have childcare you can rely on. Best for ages over 3, but extra fee nursery for under 3 — So a vacation where mom and dad can still enjoy a romantic dinner or going to a show, while baby is in the nursery.

Let’s put it this way — It’s a much better vacation with a baby than going to a Disney theme park.

At ports, your excursions are basically limited to what you can do with a stroller for a couple hours at a time.

Yup, we did a Norway DCL cruise eight years ago and it ranks as one of our favorite trips we’ve ever done. There’s a lot that I love about cruising but excursions are typically pretty “meh” except in Norway where our hiking and kayaking experiences were out of this world.

And hooray for a Very Merrytime Cruise with baby! Our only Merrytime Cruise was with our then-six-month-old baby and it was a near-perfect experience from beginning to end. I was convinced, watching how well Santa Claus interacted with and adapted to each kid in line, and how effortlessly he handled our little girl, that he was the real thing!

I’d love it if a ship other than the Wonder would come out to California

Nothing against cruising, but you might really enjoy Norway via land instead. Far, far cheaper and you can explore some of the country’s inland national parks and get to some really nice hikes and glaciers. Like cruising, Norway is great in the summer due to the weather/climate. And I used to follow page for the famous Kjeragbolten hike and saw a couple do it with a 12-month-old baby in a backpack in 1-2 hours less time than it took me, so it’s Megatron-friendly!

I’ve never visited Alaska, but know many who have taken a cruise there in the past few years. All loved it. It does seem similar to Norway, but I’d still like to visit. Though, again, for me I’ might rather fly and do a land trip.

Disney Cruises in 2025: Sail Dates, Itineraries, and Ports

UPDATED March 14, 2024: This article has been updated to add Summer 2025 cruises across the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

There will be, of course, plenty of Disney Cruises in 2025. But factoring in personal schedules and school calendars may limit your options. And you’ll also need to work within the schedule of itineraries available for the ship/ ports you want.

So whether your 2025 sailing will be your first Disney Cruise or just the latest in a long line of voyages, you’ll need to know where the ships are and where they’re headed.

With that in mind, we’ve compiled a convenient reference guide that puts all of the currently available info in one place.

First, we have a brief overview of where each Disney Cruise Ship will be located throughout the year and the type of cruise each will be providing. That will give you a quick glance of your options if you’re limited to a certain time of year, trying to find a particular type of cruise, or seeking the convenience of a port near your home.

Then, we go in-depth (day-by-day) for each month of the year; this lets you see exactly which sail dates are being offered for each itinerary — especially handy if your vacation weeks are locked in and you need to see which cruises are available.

Have Questions About 2025 Disney Cruises? Vacationeers Are Standing By!

Where Will the Disney Ships Be In 2025?

Here’s a quick overview at what’s planned so far. To see specific cruise itineraries and sail dates , look at the monthly entries further down this page.

Only a portion of 2025 sailings have been released so far . Here’s what we know at the moment.

Disney Adventure

The Disney Adventure is a gigantic new Disney Cruise ship being built on the frame of the former Golden Dream .

The new ship is expected to launch some time in 2025, though an exact maiden voyage date has not yet been released.

Although we don’t yet have specific itinerary information or a sailing schedule, we do know that the ship will be based in Singapore for the foreseeable future. It is expected to offer cruises geared toward the Asia market.

Disney Destiny

The Disney Destiny is another new cruise ship, currently under construction and expected to launch at some point in 2025. It will be a sister ship to the Disney Treasure and Disney Wish.

We do not yet know the date of the maiden voyage, nor do we know for sure where it will be based or what types of itineraries it will offer. It is possible  — but not confirmed — that it will sail from one of the home ports in Florida , as Disney has historically placed its newest ships there for their first few years.

Disney Dream

Passengers on the Disney Dream will ring in 2025 during a Bahamian Cruise that ends in  Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 4th.

The Dream spends the first nine months of 2025 sailing from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean.

Sail dates for October 2, 2025 and beyond are not yet released, but it’s not currently expected that the ship will deviate much from what it’s been doing for the first part of the year. We’ll see if those expectations change as the new ships in the fleet come online.

Disney Fantasy

The Disney Fantasy starts 2025 in Port Canaveral, Florida with an Eastern Caribbean cruise that ends on January 5.

From January 5 through the beginning of May, the Fantasy will be exclusively devoted to Bahamian cruises out of Port Canaveral .

On May 4, the Disney Fantasy begins a 13-night Eastbound Transatlantic Cruise from Port Canaveral to Barcelona, Spain .

The ship spends the remainder of the summer on European Cruises from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), and Southampton .

Sail dates for September 15, 2025 and beyond have not yet been released.

Disney Magic

The Disney Magic cruise ship starts 2025 in Galveston, Texas , returning from a Western Caribbean cruise that ends on January 2, 2025.

From January through March, the Magic continues with its Western Caribbean cruises from Galveston .

In late March and early April, the ship goes from Galveston to San Juan, Puerto Rico on a Bahamian Cruise, then from San Juan to Fort Lauderdale on a Bahamian Cruise.

Starting April 4, 2025, the Disney Magic offers a series of Bahamian Cruises from Fort Lauderdale .

On May 7, 2025, the Disney Magic shifts to Port Canaveral , but continues offering Bahamian Cruises through the summer and early fall.

Sail dates for October 3, 2025 and beyond have not yet been released. It’s unclear if the ship will sail out of New Orleans, Louisiana at any point (as it did in 2024).

Disney Treasure

2025 is expected to be the first full year of operation for what will be Disney’s sixth cruise ship, the Disney Treasure. The ship will be based out of Port Canaveral, Florida and offer Caribbean cruises through at least late September.

Sail dates for September 27, 2025 and beyond are not yet released; it is likely (but not officially confirmed) that the Treasure’s offerings will remain generally the same throughout the remainder of the year.

Disney Wish

The Disney Wish had a very simple sailing schedule in 2024 , spending the entire year offering 3- and 4-Night Bahamian Cruises from Port Canaveral, FL .

This same schedule continues through at least early Fall 2025; and although we don’t yet have information for September 29, 2025 and beyond, we currently don’t expect any major deviations after that point.

Disney Wonder

The Disney Wonder cruise ship starts 2025 in the southern hemisphere, offering Australia and New Zealand cruises from Sydney and Melbourne, Australia (where January and February are summer months ).

Starting in mid-February, the ship goes on a series of one-way cruises that take it to Honolulu, Hawaii , followed by Vancouver, Canada , and then to San Diego, CA.

March through May brings a series of Baja California and Mexican Riviera cruises from San Diego .

In mid-May, a one-way cruise to Vancouver will re-position the ship for the beginning of the summer Alaska Cruises , which run from May through late September.

Sail dates for September 23, 2025 and beyond have not yet been announced.

When Does Disney Release Its 2025 Cruises?

Many 2025 sail dates are not yet released. Right now we only have sail dates for the first few months of the year.

Disney Cruises are typically released in three phases throughout the year, though this year is a bit different due to the addition of the Disney Treasure to the fleet. Here’s what has happened so far, and what we expect for the remainder of 2025:

  • Disney Wonder sail dates for January 2025 to February 2025 were released in June 2023
  • Disney Treasure sail dates for January 2025 to May 2025 were released in September 2023
  • Disney Dream sail dates for January 2025 through May 2025 were released in October 2023
  • Disney Fantasy sail dates for January 2025 through early May 2025 were released in October 2023
  • Disney Magic sail dates for January 2025 through May 2025 were released in October 2023
  • Disney Wish sail dates for January 2025 through May 2025 were released in October 2023
  • Disney Wonder sail dates for February 2025 through mid May 2025 were released in October 2023
  • Travel dates for Summer 2025 and early Fall 2025: Were released in March 2024
  • Travel dates for Fall 2025 through the end of December 2025: Expected to be released around June-July 2024

As mentioned above, the expected launch of three new Disney Cruise ships in rapid succession somewhat complicates the release schedule for 2025. In addition to the Disney Treasure, both the Disney Adventure and Disney Destiny are expected at some point in 2025. At least some sail dates for those ships will likely be announced separately from the regular cadence of itinerary releases.

What New Disney Cruise Ships Are Being Built?

We want to go to Hawaii next summer but it doesn’t look like there are any cruises going there then?

disney cruise europe 2025

Hi Hunter — for the past few years, the Hawaii cruises have been scheduled on the Disney Wonder during its transitioning between the Alaska cruise season and Australia cruise season. That only leaves spring and fall for any Hawaii stops. So if you want a 2025 Hawaii cruise with Disney, you’re likely looking at February/March, or possibly September/October (fall 2025 sail dates haven’t been announced yet — they’re due later this year). Another option, though not a cruise, is Disney’s Aulani resort on Oahu. Hope that helps!

Disney Cruise Summer 2025 Itineraries

Glacier Day Disney Wonder Alaskan Cruise

We are patiently waiting for Disney Cruise Lines to release their summer 2025 itineraries. Based on previous release dates, it could happen anytime from next week until April 27, 2024 ; hopefully, we don’t have to wait that long for Disney.

Update March 11, 2024

Disney Cruise UK posted a teaser on its Instagram account today. Last year, it did the same thing, and the dates were released the following Thursday. Hopefully, we will see the Summer 2025 itineraries this week, most likely on March 14.

Update March 14, 2024

The Summer 2025 itinerary was released today!

Disney Cruise Line Big Summer Announcement Coming Soon

There are some clues as to what we can expect for summer 2025. The Disney Wonder leaves San Diego on May 8, 2025, to reposition to Vancouver to begin the Alaskan season on May 12, 2025 . It will sail from Vancouver to Alaska until September 22, 2025 , when presumably it will head to Hawaii before sailing back to Australia for its Australian and New Zealand cruise season.

Totem Heritage Centre Ketchikan Alaska Disney Wonder Alaska

The Wonder is scheduled for a 9-night Alaskan cruise on July 7, 2025 . It will visit Ketchikan, Tracy Arm, Juneau, Icy Straight Point, Sika, and Victoria before returning to Vancouver on July 16. J uly 16, 2025 , starts a 5-night cruise to Tracy Arm and Ketchikan. The 9-night is tempting. We loved our 7-night Alaskan cruise we did in 2023.

Disney Wonder Alaska 2023

The Disney Fantasy will be making its way to Europe in 2025. Based on the currently released schedule. We can expect the Disney Fantasy to leave on May 4, 2025 , for its Eastbound Transatlantic cruise. Andrew, on the  Planning  Disney Cruise Mediterranean, Greek Isles & Europe Cruise   Facebook Group, posted information that the Disney Fantasy is on the schedule to visit Pireaus (Athens ) on June 11, June 17, June 24, and July 3, 2025 .

Trevi Fountain Rome

I think the cruises will repeat the sailings the Disney Dream is sailing this year. A 9-night Greek Isles repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Rome, followed by two 7-night Greek Isle cruises from Rome. With a final 11-night Greek Isles cruise repositioning from Rome back to Barcelona. Unfortunately, I don’t expect any other surprises in Europe. The Norwegian Fjords and Iceland cruise may move to August in 2025. Disney has alternated the cruise between July and August. I would also expect the Westbound Transatlantic cruise to be in October 2025. The rumour is that the Fantasy will have a dry-dock in 2025.

Waterfall Stavanger Norway

Dream and Magic

I expect the Disney Dream and the Disney Magic will sail out of Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglade in 2025, visiting Disney’s private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay .

Disney Fantasy British Virgin Islands Tortola

Wish and Treasure

The newest ships, the Wish and the Treasure will continue to sail from Port Canaveral: the Wish sailing 3-night and 4-night cruises to the Bahama s. The Treasure will continue with the popular 7-night Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries .

Disney Cruise Castaway Cay

Spooky Fun and Merry Magic Await Disney Cruise Line Guests on Halloween and Holiday Cruises in Fall 2024

Voyages provide more opportunities for families to experience Disney’s newest island destination in its inaugural year

CELEBRATION, Fla.   (June 13, 2023)  – The fun of fall and winter holidays will meet the magic of Disney Cruise Line in late 2024 with the return of Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime Cruises. With rare itineraries to Hawaii and the South Pacific and more opportunities to visit Disney’s newest island destination in The Bahamas, families will have the chance to experience the fall seasons at sea in new and exciting ways.

Bookings open to the public June 26, 2023. For more details, visit the Fall 2024 itineraries page of disneycruise.com.

Halloween on the High Seas

Halloween on the High Seas returns to Disney Cruise Line in mid-September through October 2024. This season of extra-special sailings will bring the fun of Halloween to guests on select cruises across the fleet with a host of added entertainment. Families will dress up and join Disney characters in their Halloween costumes; dance the night away at a spooky celebration on the upper decks; enjoy spinetingling themed food and beverages; and immerse themselves in a ghostly ship takeover with elaborate décor and a magical Pumpkin Tree.

From Port Canaveral, Florida, the Disney Wish will sail three- and four-night Bahamian voyages full of frightful fun, while the Disney Fantasy will offer these special themed cruises with lengths varying from four, six and seven nights. Four- and six-night sailings on board the Disney Fantasy will take families to The Bahamas, while seven-night escapes will transport guests to fan-favorite destinations throughout The Bahamas and Caribbean.

The Disney Magic will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on vacations ranging from three to five nights to tropical destinations in The Bahamas and Caribbean. Select sailings on both the Disney Magic and the Disney Fantasy will include a chance for families to discover fun and relaxation at Disney Cruise Line’s newest destination in The Bahamas. Located on the island of Eleuthera at Lighthouse Point, this vibrant beach retreat will be a unique celebration of Bahamian culture brought to life with the quality and service of a Disney vacation.

Very Merrytime Cruises

From mid-November through December 2024, the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be decked from bow to stern with holiday cheer and entertainment during Very Merrytime Cruises. Holiday magic will be unwrapped for the whole family with joyful holiday décor; favorite characters in their finest festive attire; themed activities that are merry and bright; and celebrations on deck that are full of holiday spirit.

Families who want to spend the most wonderful time of the year with Disney Cruise Line will have opportunities to sail from two home ports in Florida, as well as a selection of cruises from Galveston, Texas.

Short holiday getaways will be offered from both home ports in the Sunshine State, with a selection of three- and four-night Bahamian Very Merrytime voyages on the Disney Wish from Port Canaveral and four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale aboard the Disney Dream.

The Disney Fantasy will also embark a variety of four-night Very Merrytime sailings to The Bahamas, along with longer six- and seven-night itineraries in November and December. Select voyages on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will include a day of fun in the sun along the white sand beaches of Disney Cruise Line’s newest destination at Lighthouse Point during the holiday season.

Cheerful cruises from Galveston aboard the Disney Magic will range in length from four to six nights, allowing families to celebrate the holiday season together while visiting tropical ports of call throughout the Caribbean.

Special Sailings to Hawaii and the South Pacific

In addition to the festive themed sailings, Disney Cruise Line guests can experience bucket-list itineraries in late 2024. The Disney Wonder will sail from Vancouver, Canada, to Honolulu, Hawaii, in late September with stops on the islands of Kauai, Maui and Hawaii before arriving in Oahu. From Hawaii, the Disney Wonder will embark on a transpacific voyage to Sydney, Australia, that will take families through the South Pacific to visit once-in-a-lifetime destinations such as Fiji, American Samoa and New Caledonia.

Disney Cruise Line will then set sail on its second season of vacations from Australia and New Zealand, bringing the magic of Disney close to home for local families in the region.

21 Replies to “Disney Cruise Line Announces Fall 2024 & Some Early 2025 Itineraries (September – December) – Wonder into February 2025”

' src=

disney leaving new york city, non sailing

' src=

So very disappointed that no Canadian Itineraries are listed. Wish Disney would go back to PEI. That was the best cruise!

' src=

As a California resident, there are many of us living in the Golden State who are more than disappointed. We enjoy the Disney Wonder sailing out of San Diego before & after her sailings in Alaska. No Halloween on the High Seas or Merrytime sailings for us to enjoy out of California in 2024.

' src=

so sad about this

' src=

Agreed. VERY disappointed we no longer have sailings on the west coast!

' src=

Also note the lack of a WBPC or EBPC. My wager is that this will crop up if the Treasure comes online, but maybe not. Of course, they could also bring the Treasure out of Meyer Werft, go east and christen in California. That’s exceedingly odd, but who knows…

' src=

No NY sailings in 2024, that’s a bummer.

' src=

A huge bummer, indeed! I had hoped that the Treasure’s debut would mean a ship would be able to leave NYC more frequently, not less. Not at all is devastating!

' src=

Lots of oddities here. 4 ships at one point out of Florida is nice… but odd to see the Fantasy drop 7 nights. And odd to see a lack of NY sailings.

I would expect the Fantasy’s sudden change to be due to the arrival of the Treasure. I still would like to switch up the ships and bring the Wonder back east however…

Thanks for doing these while on vacation Scott.

' src=

The rumor is that the Treasure will take over the Fantasy’s 7-night itineraries (hence the Fantasy having such an odd schedule in this release).

' src=

Disappointed that there are no Panama Canal voyages.

' src=

I shocked Disney left the new york city market.

' src=

They now have more ships and have cut out the NE here and Canada. I don’t want to fly to Florida or the Gulf to take a cruise. I loved the Disney sailings out of NYC, I could get a car to them. I’ll be sailing other lines now. Sad.

' src=

Repeating what others have said I also am disappointed and very surprised there are no San Diego cruises on calendar.

' src=

We are happy to see that the Fantasy will be doing some short cruises. No one in our family likes the Wish and sometimes we just want to go away for a few days. Feel bad for those out on West Coast. Perhaps next year you will have more choices than ever before.

' src=

Thanks much for posting all the itineraries. When you have a moment can you please create an itinerary map for the Disney Fantasy 6 day Bahamian sailings (Oct 20 and Nov 10, 2024) Thanks

' src=

Scott, Thanks for posting the information. We were initially really excited for the double Lighthouse Point with Castaway Cay cruises on the Magic (10/7, 10/21, 10/31), but now see on DCL’s site they have Nassau listed on those itineraries. Want to hope that Nassau is in place of the sea day and will still have two Lighthouse Point stops, but think it may be just one stop. Regardless, still looking at booking one of these to get both islands in one cruise.

' src=

That’s odd that DCL would increase their sailings out of Texas and Florida and reduce their sailings out of New York and California. Can’t quite put my finger on why. Hmm, I wonder?

' src=

No fall sailings out of New York 🙁

' src=

No NY and Cali sailings? How disappointing. Hope this isn’t permanent.

' src=

UPDATE: I was going to book one of the Oct ’24 “Lighthouse Point Double Dip” sailings this morning, only to find out the itinerary has changed. Originally stated as LP, CC, LP, Day at Sea. Now it’s LP, Nassau, CC, Day at Sea. Unfortunate to say the least.

Princess Cruises Announces Revised 2025 World Cruise Itineraries

Uncertainties in the red sea and surrounding region prompts rerouting of global voyages.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., (April 30, 2024)  – Given the ongoing situation in the Red Sea and surrounding area and following extensive consultation with global security experts and government authorities, Princess Cruises is revising the itineraries for its two 2025 World Cruises, which will no longer visit the Middle East or Asia, and now instead, will offer new port stops in Africa and Europe.

“A Princess World Cruise is truly the voyage of a lifetime and after careful consideration with guidance from global security experts and government authorities, we know our guests will understand and appreciate the change to our upcoming 2025 itineraries to avoid certain areas,” said Terry Thornton, chief commercial officer of Princess Cruises. “These global events beyond our control have necessitated these reroutings but we are pleased to continue to ensure these world cruises retain destination-rich itineraries with incredible stops along the west Africa coast and the Mediterranean.”

Island Princess World Cruise

Sailing from North America on Island Princess, the 116-day World Cruise offers two roundtrip options with departures from both Ft. Lauderdale, embarking January 5, 2025, and Los Angeles on January 20, 2025, and ends in Los Angeles on May 17, 2025. This destination dreamers delight will traverse over 36,700 nautical miles, visiting 46 destinations in 24 countries and six continents. The voyage includes visits to historic Bar, Montenegro and Taranto, Italy, along with inaugural World Cruise calls to the idyllic Greek Island of Patmos and to Volos – for the Monasteries of Meteora.

The revised World Cruise itinerary, from February 16-April 9, departs Sydney and will travel to Melbourne and Perth, then on to South Africa. From there, the cruise resumes the scheduled itinerary starting in Valletta, Malta on April 9.

Following is the amended portion of the voyage:

Those guests scheduled to originally depart or join the cruise from Dubai on March 14, 2025, will now embark or disembark four days earlier on March 9, in Cape Town, South Africa. Booked guests disembarking in Cape Town will be refunded the amount equivalent to four days of the cruise fare and those joining earlier will not incur an added cost to their cruise fare. All these guests will also receive a $300 onboard credit as a gesture of good will.

Crown Princess World Cruise

Departing from Down Under, Crown Princess - the largest ship to ever host a World Cruise - is scheduled to depart Auckland May 31, 2025; and Sydney June 4, 2025; and sail on a 113-day adventure visiting 42 destinations in 22 countries, across five continents. This cruise will also bypass the Red Sea and surrounding region, including the transit of the Suez Canal. The ship will travel via Africa instead of the Red Sea and Asia itinerary. The fully revised itinerary is currently being finalized and will be communicated shortly.
