Excellent value
We went on the croc and bird life sunset tour. We were accommodated at short notice and our hosts bent over backwards to ensure everyone had a great time. We saw a big croc, jabiru, sea eagle etc. The refreshments were more than generous and the commentary was helpful. Appeared to be better value than some of the other options on offer.
This was the second time for me on this cruise. It's fun, interesting and good value. We were lucky to have a full moon rising at the same time. The commentary is worthwhile, giving one a good understanding of the environment and history of the place. There is a very nice variety of snacks including some banana prawns. Sadly the wine - generously served- is from a cask and as always gave me a headache (I only had 2!)but you can't expect too much for the price. We were also lucky to see a crocodile and a long close up of a jabiru.

The best value for $45 we have spen; Alison was so friendly and informative about the history of Karumba. The first part of the cruise was inland for a way, where we spotted a couple of crocodiles and a jabiru before heading towards the mouth of the Norman River and another crocodile. During this time, we were given plenty to drink, the cheese platter was replenished at least three times, then the prawns appeared, followed by a fruit platter and chocolate biscuits. Mother Nature provided a magnificent sunset as the subject for many photographs. The two and a half hours disappeared very quickly.
This two and half tour included a nibbles, prawns and a few drinks while we were given detailed information on Karumba and the Norman river. We were also shown local bird life via a feeding tray mounted on the front of the boat along with live crocs sunning themselves on the mud flats. Then to top it all off the perfect view of a gulf sunset from the boat at the mouth of the river.
A relaxing cruise up river learning about Karumba with an animated Allisson. Out to the mouth of the Norman River to see the sun drop into the gulf, and return watching for crocs. We saw a baby one on the way out, and it was in the same place returning. Yes, they do live here, but think that may be a rubber one:-). Cheese, wine, beer, and plenty of local prawns provided. Great trip. Leaves from town, and a $20 taxi fare each way from the end of the road. Book the one taxi in advance for pick up and return, and maybe share. Arrive a little early and have a drink at the Animal Bar adjacent to the dock. (Note that the bar service area has a shutter, but the space is always open).
