GTA V: How to Get to Top of Maze Tower

Right at the heart of Los Santos’ business district is the Maze Tower, the tallest building in both GTA V and GTA Online. It serves as a location for only one mission in the game, but it’s obviously a pretty sweet place to admire the cityscape or have a bit of fun jumping off. But getting up there is a trick all by itself. Here’s how to get to the top of the Maze Tower in GTA V .

Getting to Top of Maze Tower in GTA V

There are several different ways to reach the top of Maze Tower, and in typical GTA style most require a bit of finagling to achieve. If you’re thinking along the lines of grand theft aero, then you’re on the right track!

Yes, the easiest way to get to the top of Maze Tower is by stealing a helicopter, airplane, or blimp. Below we’ll list locations for all three in case you’ve not come across any during your free-roaming of the city.

There is typically a helipad logo on your mini-map of Los Santos, and if that’s the case then head there and steal it.

Otherwise, you can search at the following locations, but just remember that whether or not one has spawned there is entirely random:

• Police Helicopter – Vespucci Canal / South Rockford DR
• Police Helicopter – Paleto Bay Sheriff’s Office
• Buzzard Attack Helicopter – Nation Office of Security Rooftop
• Standard Helicopter – Los Santos International Airport
• Frogger Helicopter – Elysian Island (Los Santos Dock)
• McKenzie Airfield – Grapeseed area (north of the map)
• Hospital Helicopter – Davis Hospital Rooftop (Middle of the Map)

Note that if you’re stealing a police helicopter you’ll immediately gain a wanted level. Since you’ll then be pursued by the police, it will make landing the helicopter tricky, and if you crash the helicopter, you won’t be able to continue the story mission.

Of course, you can purchase a helipad for $419,850 as Franklin or Michael (Trevor has his own already), and then purchase helicopters from the game’s store.

Plane – Getting to Top of Maze Tower in GTA V

Stealing a plane in GTA V and GTA Online is pretty much as simple as gaining access to Los Santos International Airport. Gaining access to the airport shouldn’t be too tricky, but just remember that once inside your wanted level will shoot up to three stars. So make sure you’re ready to make a quick getaway.

Inside the airport, you’ll find both passenger planes and private planes to steal.

If you’re feeling more daring, you can also find and steal military aircraft from Fort Zancudo. Like at the international airport, the trick is to get in and steal the aircraft as quickly as possible before the authorities take you out. You’ll also have to contend with air defenses once airborne.

Regardless of how you choose to obtain an airplane, once you have one you’ll need to fly it directly over the Maze Tower and then jump out and parachute down to the top.

If you’re wondering how to get a parachute, in GTA V’s single-player it unlocks at Ammunation after you complete the mission Minor Turbulence, while GTA Online players will get one after reaching level 11. There’s no need to worry about equipping it as it’ll automatically do so after you jump off any tall building/ledge. Just press square to deploy (PS4) or X (Xbox One).

The Atomic Blimp is another method of soaring high enough to reach the top of the Maze Tower. Playing as Franklin, players can order one via an in-game app that becomes available after completing his intermission.

After you call the Blimp, a black icon will appear on your mini-map; you’ll either be picked up from Vinewood Racetrack or Los Santos International Airport. You should be able to land on the tower, or you could parachute. If you’re attempting the former, just be careful about damaging the blimp given how fragile it is.

Dom Beasly is a minor character in GTA 5 who appears in a Strangers & Freaks missions series for Franklin. He is an adrenaline junky who loves taking on risky activities around Los Santos.

Dom will take Franklin on high-risk activities, starting with the mission Risk Assessment. Eventually, Dom will ask Franklin to jump off Maze Bank Tower with him in the mission-targeted risk.

You must get to the top of the Maze Bank tower to start the Dom Quest. There is only one way to get there, and we will show you how in this quick guide.

Where is Maze Bank Tower?

You can find Maze Bank Tower in Pillbox Hill, Los Santos, and San Andreas in GTA 5. Check out the map below to find the tower in-game.

The Maze Bank Tower is one of the tallest skyscrapers in the game and was built in 1985. It serves as the headquarters for Maze Bank. The tower is almost half the height of Mount Chiliad , with an altitude of 1,050ft, making it one of the best parachute locations in the game.

How to get to the top of Maze Bank Tower for Dom Quest?

You cannot enter most buildings in GTA 5, and Maze Bank Tower is no exception. There is no way to get to the top of the tower from inside the building, so your only option is to steal an aircraft and fly to the top of the tower.

The blip for starting the Dom Quest can only be accessed from the top of Maze Bank tower, and the only way to get to the top of Maze Bank for Dom Quest in GTA 5 is by using a plane or helicopter to get to the top of the building.

You can either use Cheats to spawn a plane or helicopter or head to Los Santos International Airport and steal them manually. If you choose to do the former, you cannot get a Gold Medal in Dom Quest since using cheats automatically disables achievements in GTA 5.

How to Complete the Dom Quest (Targeted Risk Mission) in GTA 5?

Targeted Risk is a fairly simple mission you can easily complete with a Gold Medal in GTA 5. Here are the mission objectives:

• If Franklin stumbles while landing and falls off, the mission is failed.

As you can see from the mission objectives, Targeted Risk can easily be completed as long as you know how to use a parachute.

Getting Gold Medal in this Dom Quest will require meeting a few more objectives.

• Dare Devil – Free Fall for 8 seconds.
• Bullseye – Land on the flatbed.

Getting gold in Targeted Risk will require free fall and deploying your parachute at the last second. On top of that, you’ll need to land on the moving flatbed driving along the bridge.

Introduction to Maze Bank Tower in Grand Theft Auto

The Maze Bank Tower is a 72-story skyscraper in Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, the tower is the tallest building in the game, and one of the most recognizable buildings in Los Santos.

Maze Bank Tower is located in Pillbox Hill in Downtown Los Santos, it occupies an entire block with its adjoining plaza and gardens, bounded by Vespucci Boulevard to the south, Alta Street to the west, San Andreas Avenue to the north and Power Street to the east. Maze Bank Tower is based on the U.S. Bank Tower in Los Angeles in real life, which was the tallest building in Los Angeles until 2016, and is still the city's tallest building if buildings' heights are measured to roof, and it was the 100th tallest building in the world in 2018.

According to the description of the event "Figure of Eight" in GTA Online, Maze Bank Tower stands 1,050 feet (320 meters) tall, this is actually 32 feet (10 meters) taller than its real-life counterpart, but the building has only 72 stories, which is one story less than the U.S. Bank Tower.

Maze Tower is the tallest building in the State of San Andreas among the completed buildings (A nearby unfinished building called Mile High Club would be much higher than it once completed), and the second tallest building in the entire GTA series, only after the Rotterdam Tower in Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV.

The tower is also featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, as an unnamed building in Los Santos, the appearance of the building is slightly different with the Maze Bank Tower in GTA V.

It can be speculated that the Maze Bank Tower was built prior to 1985, as the tower is featured in the 1985 film 18 Wheeler Deathrace in the game, however in real life, the U.S. Bank Tower was not completed until 1989. Maze Bank Tower serves as the headquarters of Maze Bank, the company's logo is installed on the crown of the tower and can also be found at the building's base.

The building's base is surrounded by a plaza with fountains and gardens.

Like most other skyscrapers in the game, the interior of the tower is not accessible, though in GTA Online players can set up an organization office in the building, the office doesn't actually belong to Maze Tower, because offices are all in the same format for all the four buildings that can house organization office in GTA Online, and the office's rectangle shape do not match circular shape of the tower, the office just offer the views seen from the tower.

How to get to the top of Maze Tower

As the tallest building in the city of Los Santos, the rooftop of Maze Tower is a great place to see the panoramic view of the city, and there's a side mission in the game require the player first access to the top of the building.

Since there's no elevators or staircases can be found at the base of the tower, typically the only way to reach the roof of the tower is flying a aircraft to the roof, the easiest option is via a helicopter, which can be obtained from several helicopter locations around the city. In the challenge Bank Bailout, a Skylift chopper will take the player to the roof after the player finds a parachute at the base of the tower, see details in the next section.

In Missions and Challenges

Bank bailout:.

In this challenge, the player first access a parachute at the base of the Maze Tower, it will trigger a Skylift to take the player to the top of the tower, leaving the player riding a motorcycle.

The player then rides the motorcycle off the tower, and jumps from it, then parachutes to a park in Burton.

Targeted Risk:

In this mission, Franklin need to get to the roof of the Maze Bank Tower to meet Dom Beasley, who loves thrill, he convinces Franklin to jump off the tower, the two then jump from the tower and parachute to a moving truck traveling on Power Street.

In missions of the Sumo Adversary Mode in GTA Online, players first choose cars and form two teams, each of which will try to use the cars to force the opposing team out of the designated area, in Sumo IV, the location of the designated area is at the helipad on top of Maze Bank Tower, the cars fall from the helipad will be knocked out.

Organization office

In GTA Online, Maze Bank Tower is one of the four buildings in the game that can house office for Organizations, the office in Maze Bank Tower can be purchased on the Dynasty 8 Executive website for $4,000,000, after the office is purchased, players can upgrade the office with a variety of styles, which will cost an extra amount of in-game money.

With the Organization Office obtained, the helipad on the roof becomes usable, allowing the player to quickly select an aircraft to fly from it.

The office is located on the Level 52 of the tower and faces the north (However, the elevator will display the floor number as 21 when reaching the floor, same as all the other 3 offices in Los Santos).

Aside from the office, Maze Bank Tower also houses 3 office garages and an auto shop.

Each of the office garages contains 3 floors, occupying Levels 47 to 49 of the tower, they can be accessed after purchased separately from the office.

The auto shop is located much higher than the office and the office garages, near the top of the tower. It functions as the normal auto shops in the city, players can fix and modify theirs cars in it.

How to register as a CEO in GTA 5, step by step guide

As in real life, becoming a Chief Executive Officer in GTA5’s GTA Online brings numerous important benefits to your totally-licit-and-not-seedy endeavors. Luckily, it’s quite a simple process — so long as you have the money to buy your new position.

Right, so if you do have the cash to buy your way to the top, here’s a step by step guide on how to become a CEO in GTA Online the quickest way possible.

How to become a CEO in GTA Online (GTA5)

To become a CEO in GTA Online, start by buying an office. The only possible obstacle here is money, as even the cheapest option, Maze Bank West, will cost you one million GTA dollars. Worry not, though, as we have you covered on that front , too.

If you’re not sure how to buy an office, it’s a pretty simple process. Open your iFruit, on keyboard it’s the up directional button, while on PlayStation and Xbox it’s the D-pad up directional button.

Then, select the internet browser on your iFruit, as demonstrated by the screenshot below.

Now, youhave to access Dynasty 8 Executive , the real estate website selling the office space required to become a CEO. It should be on the featured page, but you can also find it manually simply by clicking on money and services.

This opens the Dynasty 8 website, then click on Dynasty 8 Executive to open the office storefront. From here, buy the office that suits your taste, or buy the cheapest if you just want an office to become a CEO.

Next, launch the Interaction menu, which you’ll do on PlayStation by pressing down the touchpad, on the Xbox by pressing the view button, and on PC by pressing the M key.

Now, all that’s left is to register yourself as the CEO, a process that changed a bit with the release of the San Andreas Mercenaries DLC . Open the interaction menu, just like you used to, but then instead of picking the option SecuroServ — like the official website still tells you to do — choose Register as a boss first. CEO is no longer the only type of boss in town, and now you can pick between being a SecuroServ CEO and a Motorcycle Club President .

Once you pick SecuroServ CEO , press Start an organization , and you’ll effectively become the CEO of your company. You’ll now be able to:

• Hire associates
• Buy CEO cars
• Perform management tasks, such as changing employee styles and/or firing them
• Complete VIP work and challenges
• Gain CEO abilities, such as bribing law enforcement
• Retire from your cushy position as CEO

Mission [ ]

Trevor arrives at the Yellow Jack Inn and confronts Tao and his interpreter . When they mention that they want to pursue other jobs, Trevor threatens them to get them to tell him who they are working with, the O'Neil Brothers . Trevor, now furious, proceeds to the O'Neil Ranch , calling to threaten Elwood O'Neil on the way there. Upon arrival, Trevor begins a heavy assault against the guards and goes to the basement where the O'Neil's meth lab is located. Trevor then picks up a Jerry can and pours a trail of petrol outside and all through the house, he ignites the trail, causing the house to explode in a blazing inferno. Trevor then proceeds to leave the area.

• Go to O'Neil Ranch .
• Kill all the O'Neil Brothers and reach the meth lab.
• Pick the Jerry Can .
• Make a gas trail from the meth lab to the outside of the house.
• Shoot the gas trail.

Gold Medal Objectives [ ]

• Perhaps an oversight, your headshots only count for the 10 enemies who are clearly visible from the vantage point. There's two on the lower left most playing a "shoot the can" game with pistols, one drinking on the left of the ground floor, one scouting and two chatting on the second floor, two chatting and two loading a van on the lower right.
• If Trevor takes too long, two of the O'Neil brothers will finish loading the van and drive off. Trevor will comment on this. Normally this just mean you have two less enemies to worry about. But if you want all of the headshots you must kill those two before they leave. Ideally before they get into the van.
• Killing all 10 enemies from the vantage point stealthily will greatly conserve your health and armor.
• Some of the brothers are loading a van, letting them go makes things less complicated. However, killing them is required to get the gold medal.
• When assaulting the building, going in from the back door will give you more cover.
• Can be easily done as several brothers are having conversations, thus the bullet can kill them both linearly.
• Using a low damage weapon will allow Trevor to score more hits should he miss too much earlier.
• O'Neil Brothers (Ernie, Earl, Dale , Doyle , Daryl, Dan, Ned, Dalton, Don, Larry, Chester and various other guards) – Killed by Trevor Philips for stealing his opportunity to work with the Chengs.

• The name comes from the British game show The Crystal Maze , which was popular in the 1990s, as well as presumably the fact that meth can be referred to as "crystal".
• In the trailer, Trevor ignites the gas with a Molotov cocktail while in the artwork he uses a Dippo lighter , but in the game, it can only be ignited by shooting the gasoline trail, unless the player has Molotovs, which can be obtained at an old dock at the boathouse in western Sandy Shores . The player can throw it at the trail or through one of the windows to start the fire.
• This is one of three times in the GTA series that a protagonist will change the radio station on their own. In GTA Vice City , Tommy Vercetti changes the radio in the mission Publicity Tour after the bomb is defused. In GTA IV , Niko Bellic would also do so by changing it to a different station in That Special Someone after dealing with Darko Brevic .
• The house explosion scene is similar to the house explosion from the I Am Number Four film .
• If the player returns to the house after Trevor torches it, they will catch fire . However, they will not be able to roll the flames out and Trevor will continue to burn until he dies .
• If the Jerry Can is detonated using a Sticky Bomb (as it is unlocked after Friends Reunited , the mission must be replayed in order to have access to the bombs), the same will happen, although the house will be destroyed as normal.
• Trevor walking away from the explosion in slow motion is most likely a reference to the popular film cliché where characters are depicted leaving the scene of an explosion unfazed by the destruction behind them.
• It could also be a reference to " Cool Guys Don't Look at Explosions ", which is a soft rock song dedicated to the film cliché said above.
• If Trevor returns sometime after the mission, the house will revert to normal, as if Trevor never did anything to it. This is presumably an oversight.
• This is the first time the player is required to use the Jerry Can in the storyline campaign.

“Zero Hour” is the second secret mission to ever come to Destiny 2 , and it’s finally back in the game as part of the Into the Light update and the May 14 reset. Much like the reprised “ The Whisper ” mission and its Whisper of the Worm reward, the updated version of “Zero Hour” rewards a fully craftable version of the Exotic pulse rifle Outbreak Perfected .

In this Destiny 2 guide, I’ll walk you through how to complete “Zero Hour” and get the pattern for Outbreak Perfected. Whether this is your first time experiencing “Zero Hour” or it’s just been too many years for you to remember the path, I’ve got you covered.

How to start ‘Zero Hour’ in Destiny 2

To start “Zero Hour,” all you need to do now is talk to Ada-1.

Head to the Tower Annex — the landing point over by the Drifter — and head up to Ada-1, the vendor who normally just handles transmog. She’ll give you the “ Asset Protection ” quest. With the quest in hand, all you need to do is open up the “Into the Light” submenu in the Director and select “Zero Hour.”

Completing the Exotic mission and finishing the quest at Ada-1 will reward you with the pattern for Outbreak Perfected.

‘Zero Hour’ walkthrough in Destiny 2

You have 40 minutes to beat this mission on the Normal difficulty.

Navigating the Destiny 1 Tower in ‘Zero Hour’

“Zero Hour” starts out with a lot of combat as you first adventure through the Destiny 1 Tower. You’ll be dealing with some powerful Fallen here, so make sure to put on your best gear and an assortment of ad-clearing weapons. As with all dense Fallen encounters, the Riskrunner Exotic submachine gun will serve you well if you’re having trouble.

Make your way through the bazaar and into the small vent. On the other side, you’ll be where the Speaker’s chambers once were. Clear the enemies, and move through the sweeper bot hallway.

You’ll find yourself in the courtyard, which is filled with enemies of varying type and power. There’s even a Brig here now, an enemy type that didn’t exist when the original mission came out. Take them all down to unlock the rest of the path.

Continue through the old tower until you reach the flaming scaffolding where the original opening mission of Destiny 2 takes place. Slide under the big door next to the M and drop down the elevator shaft. Climb in the vent and follow it.

You’ll emerge in a giant shipyard. Turn immediately left, and you’ll see a ship sitting below you. Run up to it and crouch under its nose. Follow the path and take a right into the vent. Follow the hallway you drop into and take the other vent above you. Take a left and enter another vent behind the toolbox.

Follow the vent and take your first right. There are a few doorways below, but you only need to take the one directly under you. If you’re the first player to arrive, you’ll have a handy metal lip to stand on. If you’re following a teammate, it’ll have broken off by now. Step off the ledge, turn around, and push forward against the wall as you fall. Climb into the ledge and follow the vent.

Jump onto the first piece of yellow scaffolding and then onto the next. Look toward the tower. There are two drain openings and a platform to your left. Depending on your class, you can either jump straight to the landing or hop your way to the landing through the drain openings.

On the landing, look off and down toward the tower. You’ll see a small protrusion. This is your target. Jump off the landing and move toward the wall. Land on the antenna.

Look out toward where the city and turn left. Jump on the pipes until you reach the next landing. You can pull a switch here to help your friends catch up.

Jump onto the scaffolding above you and run up to the open vent. Jump in and follow the path. You’ll be in a big elevator shaft. Start climbing up a few flights until you’re at the second from the top. Shoot open the vent on the right and climb through.

Now you’ll be surrounded by spinning fans, each of which have an Explosive Shank in the middle. Look for the red lights and jump into them. If you hold against the wall, you’ll save yourself from the fans. When you land, be careful — don’t hit the ground too hard and skid off into another fan. Repeat this process, carefully taking out or maneuvering around the Shanks, until you’re at the bottom of the shaft. Climb in another vent.

You’ll now find yourself in a long hallway that looks completely blank. Jump off the ledge and onto the silver vents hanging off the wall. These are tricky to stand on, so limit your movement. Jump to the next one and finally into the open door on the far side. Once again, there is a switch here to help your friends through the puzzle if they’re lagging behind.

How to navigate the ‘Zero Hour’ maze

Follow the vents until you get to Ventilation. Walk forward and take a look at the map, which you can see clearly in the image above.

This is the maze section of “Zero Hour,” and it looks much scarier than it actually is. The white lines represent hallways you can walk through, with the red arrows denoting switches you need to hit. You start the map in the center of the bottom-most rectangle’s southern white line. When you’ve had a good look at the map, turn around and drop down two floors of vents.

You’re in the maze now, just like in the picture. We recommend sending one player right and another left, just to speed the process up. The instructions below are for the right-side player, so left-side players should just mirror my instructions.

• Run forward and take a left. Keep running until you find a split in the hall.
• Turn right and into another rectangle.
• Follow the path and hit the first switch.
• Keep running until you reach the original hallway.

Here, you’ll likely have to wait for a wall of electricity to pass. If the electricity is just starting to arc, you can run through. Otherwise, you’ll have to sit and brood — Darth Maul style.

When the electricity drops, take a right turn. You should start hearing an unsettling sound about now. An electric shredder is also running the maze with you, named TR3-VR by Bungie and the Destiny community. There are some alcoves to hide in so it can pass, but just to your left you should see a giant cavern with pipes in it.

Jump on the pipes and wait for the machine to pass. You can tell if the shredder is chasing you by its sound or giant red light.

With the machine gone, jump back over to your hallway and take a left. Follow the path until a hallway opens on the right. Go hit the switch like last time and return to your normal hallway.

Take a right and follow the path until you can take another right. This is the exit. If you’ve hit all four switches, the doors will be open.

Run into the new room and hop on one of the elevators to your right or left. Hit the button and wait for them to slowly lift you into the rafters.

Jump onto the platform and shoot out the vent. Head down the chute and stay in the center of the slide. Jump to slow your momentum, or risk death by splattering against a wall. When you come out of the chute, turn left and then immediately right. Crawl through the vent on the floor.

How to navigate the vault maze in ‘Zero Hour’

You’ll be in the old Cryptarch Vault now, and the mission is nearly done.

On the opposite side of the Vault’s door, you’ll see some pipes on the wall. Next to the pipe, you’ll see the Cryptarch symbol. Go stand by it and the secret door will open. Run forward until you reach the section with white floor panels. You’ll need to step on these in the correct order or you’ll get incinerated.

There are six rows of panels, each are five panels across. We’ve numbered the panels below in order, so R1 - 1 is the farthest left panel on the first row, R1 - 2 is the farthest left panel in the second row, R3 - 5 is the farthest right of the third row, and so on.

You’ll start on the second tile from the right on the first row. From there, here’s the order you should follow, with the direction you need to head in in parentheses:

• R1 - 4 (Start)
• R2 - 4 (Forward)
• R2 - 3 (Left)
• R2 - 2 (Left)
• R2 - 1 (Left)
• R3 - 1 (Forward)
• R4 - 1 (Forward)
• R5 - 1 (Forward)
• R5 - 2 (Right)
• R5 - 3 (Right)
• R4 - 3 (Back)
• R4 - 4 (Right)
• R4 - 5 (Right)
• R5 - 5 (Forward)
• R6 - 5 (Forward)

Once you’re through the panels, head to the end of the vault.

At the broken case, take a right and you’ll see a burned hole in the ground. Drop through it. Run forward and hop into another vent. It’s time to fight.

How to defeat Siriks in ‘Zero Hour’

When you drop down, you’ll find a Fallen Captain wielding a Scorch Cannon: Siriks . They’re surrounded by an army of Fallen.

Take out Siriks’ Fallen allies. They’ll summon turrets, big Servitors that grant immune shields to everything (these are very annoying, so kill them first) and a ton of Shanks. Just keep killing everything until Siriks’ health is about one-third full. You’ll get a message on your screen that says “ Siriks retreats... for now ” and the boss will disappear.

Two Fallen Walker tanks will appear on the raised platforms on your left and right, along with some additional Fallen. Take everything out and you’ll get another ominous message: “ Siriks returns... heavily armed .”

Siriks will drop back into the area in a massive Brig mech. This thing has full health, so it’s going to take some time and work to take it out. Once you manage to blast off theshield on the Brig, the boss will start lobbing massive tank and constant airstrikes. Just keep moving to dodge these attacks and you’ll eventually take it down.

With Siriks dead, head up to the chest that spawns, say hi to Mithrax, and grab the Outbreak Perfected schematic. Head back to the Tower and talk to Ada-1. She’ll give you the Outbreak Perfected, complete with the pattern attached. Ada-1 will also give you the “Outbreak Refined 1” quest, which you can complete for some additional crafted perk options on your new Outbreak Perfected.

If you already have the Catalyst for Outbreak Perfected from the original version of “Zero Hour,” you’ll instantly be able to place it on your newly crafted gun. However, if this is your first time running the mission, you’ll need to hop back in on Heroic mode in order to pick up the Catalyst and improve your Outbreak Perfected.
