Recent tour reviews

Hatebreed is always the BEST to see live! The 25th anniversary tour was all you could hope for! Took me back to better times. I was almost as good as seeing them for the first time like i did in 2001! Can't wait to see these guys come through Chicago again!

I had an unbelievable night, I wasn't really feeling Twitching Tongues, but The Acacia Strain and Crowbar were amazing and Hatebreed brought down the house!! I always have an unbelievable time when I come to First Ave., it is one of my favorite venues to go to no matter what band/bands I see.

When I saw Hatebreed live for the first time, it was an amazing experience, and after the show I was really stunned by their performance. It was also a show at a really great venue with great supporting acts, but when Hatebreed came on stage, you could feel, that it was one of these concerts, where the whole crowd is going crazy. A lot of people, including myself, moshed like there was no tomorrow, others were jumping and singing along the lyrics, and there was also a lot of crowd-surfing going on, but no one stood still. When Jamey yelled at the crowd: "Are you tired?", everyone was screaming "No!!", and when he then asked "Do you want some more?", the crowd yelled back "Yes!!" and you could feel, that they meant it. To sum things up: Hatebreed is one of the best live bands I've ever seen and they're definitely a band, that you should've seen in your life. Oh, and their best live songs are in my opinion "Destroy Everything", "Looking down the Barrel of Today" and "Everyone Bleeds Now".

Hatebreed Announce “20 Years of Brutality” 2023 North American Tour

The post Hatebreed Announce “20 Years of Brutality” 2023 North American Tour appeared first on Consequence .

Hatebreed are celebrating their third album, 2003’s The Rise of Brutality , with a 20th anniversary tour this fall. The outing features a stacked support bill of Terror , Vein.fm , and Jesus Piece .

The “20 Years of Brutality” outing kicks off with a stop at the Born Dead Fest in Albany, New York, and runs through a September 24th gig in Tampa, Florida. A Live Nation pre-sale begins Thursday (June 15th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code DISCO , while general sales start on Friday (June 16th). Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

“It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since the release of The Rise of Brutality album,” said Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta in a press release. “These songs are always fun to play and we’re looking forward to adding some of them to the set that we’ve previously either never or rarely played live.”

He continued, “Plus, it’s always a bonus having Terror on the tour along with Vein.fm and Jesus Piece. This will make this tour an event not to be missed!”

All three bands will be performing at the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival on September 16th. It was announced earlier this week that the long-running fest would be returning this year for the first time in five years.

Hatebreed Book ’20 Years of Brutality’ Fall 2023 Tour With Terror, Vein.FM + Jesus Piece

Time flies! Just as Hatebreed enjoyed a 20th anniversary tour in support of their Perseverance album, now it's come time to celebrate the band's The Rise of Brutality record. The Jamey Jasta -led band will hit the road this fall to revisit the record, and they've lined up killer support for the tour as well.

The "20 Years of Brutality" trek kicks off Sept. 3 in Quebec City, Quebec, a day after their Born Dead Fest appearance in Albany, New York. The tour is set to run through a Sept. 24 finale in Tampa, Florida, and these dates will feature support from Terror , Vein.FM and Jesus Piece , making for a truly brutal concert.

"It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since the release of The Rise of Brutality album," says singer Jamey Jasta. "These songs are always fun to play and we're looking forward to adding some of them to the set that we've previously either never or rarely played live. Plus, it's always a bonus having Terror on the tour along with Vein.fm and Jesus Piece. This will make this tour an event not to be missed!"

The Rise of Brutality continued Hatebreed's ascent in the first decade of the 21st Century. The album debuted at No. 30 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, and spawned the songs "This Is Now" and "Live for This," with the former track also receiving significant play on MTV2's Headbangers Ball .

Megadeth’s upcoming tour lineup is an odd yet interesting mix.

DERBY, ENGLAND - AUGUST 13: Dave Mustaine of Megadeth performs at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2023 ... [+] at Catton Hall on August 13, 2023 in Derby, England. (Photo by Katja Ogrin/Redferns)

It wasn’t long ago when Megadeth had one of the hottest metal tours on the block which was fittingly coined ‘The Metal Tour Of The Year.’ The 2021 and 2022 co-headlining tour consisted of Megadeth and modern heavyweights Lamb of God with opening acts Trivium, Hatebreed, and later In Flames. Nearly every band on the bill offered something unique yet sonically similar enough to make it an air tight package. Not to mention, the tour sold exceptionally well with averaging 7,000 tickets sold across 24 dates from its first leg. To say it was a smashing success for Megadeth would be an understatement, and with their recent Grammy nomination for their well received 2022 LP The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead , the band was experiencing quite a moment to say the least.

However, despite the recent wins for Megadeth guitarist Kiko Loureiro exiting the band was a pretty big blow to the fans, as he’s made significant contributions to Megadeth since joining in 2015. In fact, in the past Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine had been fairly open about his admiration for Loureiro and he’s gone as far as saying , “Megadeth has had guys like Jeff [Young] and Marty [Friedman], but Kiko is the best we’ve ever had.”

Now with the band’s new guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, who was recommended by Loureiro prior to exiting the band, Megadeth aren’t quite in the same position they were in a couple years ago, though at no fault of Mäntysaari who is in fact filling the shoes of lead guitarist incredibly well, according to Mustaine.

With all that being said, the band’s recent headlining tour announcement comes as a surprise to many fans, particularly with the supporting lineup Megadeth has in place. Nu metal giants Mudvayne and metalcore pioneers All That Remains are slated to support Megadeth on their upcoming late summer North American, which is titled the Destroy All Enemies tour. Maybe the tour’s title is an attempt at the band poking fun at themselves because it doesn’t appear they’ll be making any new friends with a tour lineup that’s such a stark contrast from their recent North American tours.

After one look at the comments section on Megadeth’s instagram post for the tour announcement, it’s clear that the most upvoted comments are from fans being harshly critical or puzzled by Megadeth’s decision to have Mudvayne and All That Remains as support, and that’s putting it lightly. No disrespect to either Mudvayne or All The Remains as both bands have made significant contributions to early 2000s metal and are great on their own merits, but the three bands together just seems at odds with Megadeth status as a legacy band. If they’d added another opener that was more sonically like minded and a newer act like Havok, Enforced, or even Power Trip the bill would possibly seem a little less jarring to fans. Better yet, a co-headlining tour with Pantera, whom are currently headlining arenas across the states, would do wonders for both bands especially given the demand for the recent Pantera reunion.

Trump Media Stock (DJT) At Risk Of A New Short Selling Plunge

Your best look yet at the new iphone 16, ryan garcia what s ostarine and how could a boxer use it to cheat.

Regardless, both Mudvayne and All That Remains can draw on their own, but it’ll be interesting to see if Megadeth fans are the primary ticket buyers for this tour or if there’s a healthy mix from each of the acts’ core fanbases. Or better yet, maybe there’s a more shared appreciation for all acts than the comments suggest. It’s entirely possible, but tickets sales and the crowd response at the shows will no doubt be the deciding factors.
