Specifications Definitions

GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) – is the maximum permissible weight, including cargo, fluids, optional equipment and accessories that can be safely supported by a combination of all axles.

UVW (Unloaded Vehicle Weight)* - is the typical weight of the unit as manufactured at the factory. It includes all weight at the unit’s axle(s) and tongue or pin and LP Gas. The UVW does not include cargo, fresh potable water, additional optional equipment or dealer installed accessories. *Estimated Average based on standard build optional equipment.

CCC (Cargo Carrying Capacity)** - is the amount of weight available for fresh potable water, cargo, additional optional equipment and accessories. CCC is equal to GVWR minus UVW. Available CCC should accommodate fresh potable water (8.3 lbs per gallon). Before filling the fresh water tank, empty the black and gray tanks to provide for more cargo capacity. **Estimated Average based on standard build optional equipment.

Each Forest River RV is weighed at the manufacturing facility prior to shipping. A label identifying the unloaded vehicle weight of the actual unit and the cargo carrying capacity is applied to every Forest River RV prior to leaving our facilities.

The load capacity of your unit is designated by weight, not by volume, so you cannot necessarily use all available space when loading your unit.

The CruiserRV Stryker 2313 packs tons of stuff into a tiny package. Despite not even being 28’ long, it packs in a spacious 13’4” garage. 

Between a king bed in the master bedroom, plus a power queen bed and opposing sofas in the rear garage, this trailer can sleep up to 6. Also in the garage is a full kitchen with a 3 burner stove, oven, microwave, and fridge.  The garage is rounded out by two cozy recliners. The RV also features a full bath in the center. 

Other great features in this trailer include a premium sound system with amplifier, subwoofer, and indoor/outdoor speakers; a 30-gallon fuel tank and fuel pump, plus generator prep; and a 16’ awning.

Several optional add-ons are available as well, including a generator, a second A/C unit, and an upgraded fuel tank for your generator. 

Are Toy Haulers Built Better Than Travel Trailers?

Toy Haulers are not necessarily better than travel trailers, just a little different. Essentially they are all built in the same factories using the same core parts. The debate between toy haulers vs. travel trailers really comes down to you and your preferences. 

For boondocking, you may want a toy hauler because they typically have heavy-duty chassis, better suspension, and stronger axles. If you like traditional campgrounds and can fit your recreational vehicle in the bed of your truck you may prefer a travel trailer.

There are also some tradeoffs in the interior space of these two different types of campers. Travel trailers typically have more cabinet storage space and they are more likely to have bunkrooms. While toy haulers, on the other hand, have to sacrifice some of those things in favor of garage space. 

Speaking of garage space, Modern Era (2008- Present) toy haulers have come a long way in terms of dressing up this area. Now garages on toy haulers often come with drop-down bunks and sofas. Sometimes the floor of these spaces even looks and flows seamlessly to the rest of the camper.

There are now drains in the floor and doors that divide the garage space from the remainder of the coach. You no longer have to worry about the camper feeling like a garage once the toys are offloaded.

If you haven’t heard of a Brinkley – I am certain you will very soon because they are getting ready to knock the socks off of every other RV company there is.

I have worked on many RV’s and none have been as well built and well organized as the Brinkley Model Z. The electrical system is set up to be easy to customize for the individual owner’s needs. Access to wiring and wire routing is straightforward and neat. Well Done, Brinkley.

Commercial Grade H-Rated 16-Ply Cooper Tires

We placed our money where things mattered and where other manufacturers ran into problems so you wouldn’t have to. The heavy-duty H-Rated 16-ply Cooper tires are an upgrade second to none. You typically see this style of tires used for commercial applications and larger rigs, but they are standard on the Brinkley Model Z. Each tire is rated for up to 4,850 lbs. per tire and 19,400 lbs. in total.
