Maranoa Travel was one of one of 10 Australian travel agencies presented with a Bronze Choice Award during a ceremony in Cairns this month.

The event was attended by leaders of the Australian travel industry and members of Travellers Choice, an exclusive collection of leading independently owned travel agencies.

Travellers Choice managing drector Christian Hunter said Bronze Choice Award-winning agencies demonstrated outstanding levels of travel expertise, customer service and business acumen.

"Maranoa Travel combines extensive hands-on travel knowledge and skills with a genuine understanding of its local community and the unique needs of its clients," Mr Hunter said.

Owner Peter Flynn said the award was the Maranoa Travel team's third and was a team effort.

"Every member of our agency is committed to using their professional expertise and personal experience to find the best travel solutions for our customers," Mr Flynn said.

As a Bronze Choice Award winner, Maranoa Travel has been invited to attend an exclusive educational trip through the heart of Australia with Journey Beyond, one of the country's largest experiential tourism businesses.

From Rottnest Island in the west to the Blue Mountains in the east, the trip includes a three-night all-inclusive rail journey
