• Valid Passport , with a minimum expiry date of 6 months from the date of your entry into Mexico;

• Immigration Form (Forma Migratoria Múltiple or FMM by its Spanish acronym), if arriving by land;
• Tourism: Hotel reservation, itinerary, and return tickets.
• Business: 1) Letter in Spanish from the foreign company indicating the visitor is an employee and that the company will pay for the services the visitor will provide in Mexico and that the visitor will not receive any payment or salary from a company in Mexico, or 2) a letter of invitation from a public or private institution to perform non-remunerated activities in Mexico, indicating the purpose of the trip, estimated time of stay and taking responsibility for your travel and lodging costs (check  non lucrative visitor visa for more information);
• Short studies: Letter of invitation or acceptance from any institution within the National Educational System to take courses, enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate studies or to conduct a research project or undertake academic training for up to 180 days (check non lucrative visitor visa for more information). For any of the before mentioned academic activities longer than 180 days, please check Visa for temporary residents – students for more information.
• Work: Please check information for Work Visa (NUT) below .
• Proof of financial solvency according with the visitor’s purpose of his/her trip .

Please, be aware that Immigration authorities might ask for additional information, or documents. Emirati passport holders, and those others from the countries or territories mentioned in the list published by the Migration National Institute , do not require a visa to travel to Mexico as non-lucrative visitors up to 180 days .

• All visa applications require an appointment . Appointments are personal and non-transferable.
• Make travel arraignments taking into consideration that appointments availability is scarce, and Immigration Authorities might take up to 1 to 10 working days for approval. It is advisable not to book or buy flight tickets to Mexico if you have not been notified about the issuance of your visa.
• Please note that we do not work with intermediaries for priority appointments or to expedite the issuance of visas. The Embassy of Mexico is the only entity authorized to issue Mexican visas in the United Arab Emirates and Iraq , and all visa services take place at our facilities in Abu Dhabi.
• Bank statements and other evidence of financial solvency must be under the applicant’s name . Bank statements under a third party’s name or under a company’s name are not accepted, even if the applicant owns that company.
• Visa application processing fees are payable in cash at the Embassy, on the appointment’s date, and they are non-refundable.
• Put together all the documents required,
• Fill in the visa application form

• bring all original documents and a copy of each of them,
• present all documents to the consular officer and pay the processing fees,
• have a consular interview, and
• Wait for the application approval according to the consular officer’s indications.

• Applicants who appeared without all the necessary requirements will need to make a new appointment.

Visa for non-lucrative visitors

This visa is for persons who will engage in the following activities while visiting Mexico: tourism, business meetings, job interviews, international travelers in transit to other destinations, journalism, short term studies, patients attending medical appointments or treatment, sports persons participating in tournaments or competitions, and to any other similar activities that do not imply receiving a salary, or any other personal fees for commercial or professional services. General requirements

• A passport with at least 6 months of validity at the time of entry into Mexico.
• Proof of residency if you are not an Emirati citizen (Emirates ID and visa).
• Certificate of employment – in original letterhead paper from the company, describing how long the applicant has been working for the employer, position, and monthly salary, or
• Official letter from a school, indicating that the applicant is a full-time student in the UAE and the period of the studies.
• Proof of economic solvency with the last 3 monthly bank account statements, under the applicant’s name.
• One color photograph (passport size, face uncovered and white background).
• Application form duly completed

For underage applicants

The presence of both of their parents to give their authorization. Absent parents must give a power of attorney to the other parent, or to a third person, to apply on behalf of the under aged applicant and to sign the application.

For short term studies

Applicants must present an acceptance letter from an institution within the National Educational System to take courses, studies, do research or investigation projects up to 180 days, on a letterhead paper with the following requisites:

• Full name of the applicant
• The qualification, level of studies, and area in which the applicant pretends to study or do research.
• Name of the qualification or course or research in which the applicant has been accepted.
• Starting date, as well as the date of termination of the studies or research.
• Tuition fees, and
• Relevant registration (RVOE) of the Mexican educational institution.
• Work certification stating a stable employment with indications of labor seniority, and monthly income.
• Bank accounts statements of the last three months.
• For applicants under 25 years of age, the requirements on economic solvency could be accredited by one of the parents or by the person exercising parental authority or guardianship by presenting the documentation indicated above, responsive letter, and a copy of his/her identification and applicant’s birth certificate.

For patients attending medical appointments or treatment

In addition to general requirements (items 1 to 6) , they must provide:

• Doctor’s address, and telephone number,
• Doctor’s professional registration number, if applicable,
• Patient’s full name, age, nationality, and passport number,
• Patient’s diagnostic, and approval for traveling in his/her current condition,
• Copy of the Doctor’s picture ID.
• Treating Doctor’s address, and telephone number in Mexico,
• Doctor’s professional registration number,
• All the relevant medical information about the patient’s treatment in Mexico, and the cost of them,
• Approximately length of time the patient will under treatment in Mexico,
• The applicant, the applicant’s parents or legal guardians must prove they have enough funds to cover the medical and hospital fees, housing expenses (if applicable), and all the applicant’s needs during the length of time of stay in Mexico.

For visitors invited by Mexican organizations or public institutions

Item number 4 of the above requirements could be substituted by a letter of invitation with the following requisites:

• Original letter with the name of the organization or public institution who is making the invitation,
• Address, telephone number and contact person’s name,
• Indication of commercial or institutional activities,
• Full name, nationality and passport number of the visitor invited,
• Information about the activities the visitor would be undertaking in Mexico. Those activities must be related with the commercial or institutional activities of the organization or public institution inviting the visitor,
• Approximately length of time the visitor will stay in Mexico,
• Commitment of the organization or institution to be responsible for all the visitor’s expenses during his/her stay in Mexico,
• Copy of the signatory person’s picture ID, with his/her signature,
• Attachment with copies of the last 12 monthly bank statements of the organization or institution. Educational institutions within the National Educational System do not require demonstrating economic solvency.

For participants in events foster or patronize by agencies of the Mexican Federal Government or autonomous governmental institutions

In addition to requirements 1 to 3 , they must present:

• Applicant’s full name, and nationality,
• Name of the Government Agency or autonomous institution,
• Information about the event the applicant will be attending,
• Length of time and date of the event, and
• Signature, name, and position of the public officer responsible of the event’s coordination, and an
• Official letter from the Foreign Government Agency sending the applicant to the event, indicating the purpose of the applicant’s trip to Mexico.

Visa for temporary residents

This visa is for foreign aliens who intend to move to Mexico for a length of time longer than 180 days but shorter than 4 years. Residents who enter Mexico under this condition are not allowed to work, and they mut prove a foreign income.

• Bank accounts or investment monthly statements, under the applicant’s name, for the last 12 months, if the applicant is not working, or
• Certificate of employment in original letterhead paper from his company or employer, describing how long the applicant has been working for them, that the applicant will be working for the company remotely from Mexico, and description of the applicant’s position. Please attach to this letter the last 6 bank account monthly statements. The bank statements should be under the applicant’s name.
• Application form duly completed (click here for the application).

For owners of real state in Mexico

As a proof of economic solvency, please submit the title deeds granted before a Mexican Notary Public certifying the applicant is the owner of real estate. The price of the real state should be clearly express in the title deed.

For investors

As a proof of economic solvency, applicants must submit one of these three options:

• Deed of the Mexican legal person granted before a Notary Public, or a document duly certified by the administration body or competent official thereof, stating that the foreign person participates in the capital stock of said Mexican legal person. The amount of applicant’s investment has to be clearly stated, and may be accredited, but not limited to, by means of an original and copy of contract for the sale of shares or social parts, contract of transmission of goods or rights in favor of the Mexican legal entity or document issued by the latter that proves the amount contributed in the capital stock; or
• Original document that certifies the ownership of movable property or fixed assets in favor of the foreign entity, used for economic or business purposes. The value of that property should be clearly stated; or
• Original documentation that proves the development of economic or business activities in Mexico, which may be accredited, including but not limited to, with contracts, service orders, invoices, receipts, business plans, licenses or permits, or proof issued by the Institute Mexican Social Security document certifying that the foreign legal entity is the employer of at least three workers.

Visa for temporary residents – students

• Application form duly completed.
• Applicant’s full name.
• The name of the program the applicant is enrolled to, level of studies, and area in which the applicant pretends to study or do research.

The applicant must provide evidence of funds enough to cover the fees of the studies, housing, and all his/her needs during the length of time of stay in Mexico with the any of following documentation:

• Applicant’s bank accounts statements of the last three months.
•  For applicants under 25 years of age, the requirements on economic solvency could be accredited by one or both of parents, responsive letter, and a copy of the parents’ identification and applicant’s birth certificate.

Work Visa (NUT)

For foreign nationals who plan to enter Mexico to perform lucrative activities, the application for the entry permit is made directly before the Migration National Institute (INM)  by the Mexican party (company) interested in the stay of the foreign national.   For more information about requirements and the process to obtain the entry permit (known as NUT) on the following link of the INM: Autorización de visa por Oferta de Empleo.

Below is a Mexico visit visa for UAE requirements listed.

Passport:  Home country passport with a minimum of six months validity. The new passport should have a minimum of 3 blank pages and also should submit the old passport if any. 

Application Form: Duly filled application form issued by the Embassy of  Mexico. Fully concluded in English and signed and dated by the applicant himself ( signed by both parents in case of minors, below the age of 18)

Valid UAE Residency:  Emirates ID and Copy of the stamped residency visa (valid at least three months from the date of expiry of the requested visa / intended end of the journey)

Photocopies: 

• 1 passport copy of pages containing personal data 
• 1 copy of the signature page (signed by the passport holder 
• 1 copy of UAE residence permit/visa 
• Copies of previous Schengen visa if any

For GCC Nationals-  Copy of valid Emirates ID card

Personal Photograph:  2 recent colour photographs 

• Two identical photos. Not older than six months.
• Photo size: 35x45mm.
• In colour .  No black and white
• The Head should take 70-80% of the photo.
• Brightly coloured background. Light grey is suggested. No patterns.

Medical Insurance- Overseas Travel Insurance

Requirements: Your insurance should be valid for the entire period of the requested visa. Minimum coverage 30,000 € (or equal Australian Dollars) and repatriation. (Medical insurances of credit cards are not accepted). 

Letter from local employer/sponsor (NOL)-NOC Letter from the Employer:   The NOC should include name, postal address and telephone number of sponsor/company, with details about applicant’s working position, starting date of employment and salary and expected date to resume duties and purpose of travel. In the case of a partner, NOC should be obtained from other partners and Also valid trade license copy for the investor/partner of the company should be attached with the NOC.

In case of dependents-  Sponsors valid passport copy and UAE residence visa to be attached with the cover letter.

f minors below the age of 18 (if applicable) – establishing legal parenthood: Copy of either birth certificate/proof of adoption/custody decree, if parents are divorced / death certificate of parent (The Fiji Consulate may request to submit the original document at a later stage). 

Documents, need to be translated into English or. “Letter of consent” (Authorization of Minors) from parents, including passport copies and valid UAE residence visa copies of both parents/ legal guardians in case the children are travelling with others.

Proof of sufficient financial means:

• Three months original stamped and signed personal bank statement showing regular income, no deposits. Company owners can submit the bank statement of the company with a letter from the bank proving he is a signatory on this bank account.
• Bank statements should not be “credit card statements”. If not enough balance on the current account, The applicant can also submit the personal saving account (cash is not accepted as proof of funds).
• For retired persons: proof of pension or other regular income.
• Please highlight your regular income (salary, pension, etc…) on the bank statement.

Supporting documents to apply for a Mexico visa from UAE

For a successful Mexico visa application process from UAE, the Mexican Embassy requires the applicant to hand over the following supporting documents along with the visa application form.

Required documents for Mexico pre-arrival visa when applying from UAE

Please note that if any of these documents are in Arabic, they need to be translated in to English

Original Passport

having at least 2 blank pages and a validity period of at least 6 months

Application

Completion of the visa application format.

Original UAE Visa

Original and copy of the UAE visa. Which is valid for 03 months from the date of return.

Copy of passport’s first 3 pages and all other valid visa pages

Photographs

A clear face photograph, without eye glasses, in color, passport size, white background and front.

Job Documents

Original documents proving that the applicant has a stable job, for the past year at least. The document presented must be a letter of employment addressed to the Mexican Embassy Abu Dhabi and should mention the applicant's monthly salary, occupation and date of entry to the company (signed and sealed by the company, Labor Contract).

Bank Statement

Original and copy of bank account statements. The document submitted must be an original bank statement for the last three months, reporting the payroll income (signed and stamped by the bank).

If the applicant is the owner or partner of a company

he must bring an original and copy of the business license of the company, as well as the bank statement of the company for the last three months (signed and stamped by the bank)

Business Invitation

If the applicant travels to attend business meetings or to participate in a conference in Mexico, he / she must bring a letter of invitation from the company or the organizers of the conference, with a copy of an official identification of the signer.

Family invitation

If the applicant is a spouse, student, or minor and is an economic dependent of his spouse or father, he / she must prove the family bond by means of the original marriage certificate or the birth certificate, as well as the documents proving the economic solvency of the relative.

04 Mexico Visa Processing

What is the usual procedure when applying for a Mexico visit visa from UAE?

The above mentioned supporting documents have to be submitted to the Arooha visa consultant who is assisting you with the Mexico visa. The below mentioned procedures will be followed upon submission of supporting documents.

Pay the Mexico visa fee and the visa consultation fee, both of which are mandatory

Your documents will be checked by your visa consultant. You can also ask any questions you have and discuss about the most suitable visa type for you.

The Mexico visa application form will be filled and all documents will be rechecked.

You will receive an appointment date to submit the visa application and the supporting documents to the Mexico Embassy.

The visa issue procedure begins.

You will receive a notification when your visa is ready for collection.

Collect your passport with the stamped Mexico visa.

No, the visa fee is not refundable.

Do minors need to be accompanied by parents while travelling to Mexico?

Yes, minors (individuals below 18 years) have to be accompanied by a parents or guardian unless both parents have issued an NOC letter stating their approval of the child’s travel without either of them. The NOC has to be attached with the other supporting documents along with copies of both parents passports and submitted.

Requirements for visas (Passports of the countries that requires a VISA):

If you have a passport from the countries that require a VISA to travel to the United Arab Emirates, please follow these requirements, then contact us for an appointment:

• 1- Submit Two (2) applications (include the details of your “Sponsor / Host” in the UAE, Address in UAE).

All applications must be typewritten.

About your (Sponsor / Host) please complete the following:   Full name: mention the name of the organization, the hotel, or the name of your contact in the United Arab Emirates. Profession: Mention your current position. Address: Mention the address of the organization, the hotel, or your contact in the United Arab Emirates.

• 2- Passport (original), valid for at least six (6) months.
• 3- A colored copy of the passport and its cover.
• 4- Two (2) photos with a white background, passport size.
• 5- The original document of the legal residence in Mexico and a colored copy.
• 6- Copy of your roundtrip plane ticket.
• 7- Your hotel reservation.
• 8- Pay for the visa fees through a bank deposit of $60 US Dollars.

Do I need a visa for the UAE?

UAE visa on arrival

Preapproved uae visas, prearranged uae visas, sponsoring someone to visit the uae, contact information, 30-day visit eligibility.

If you are a passport holder of the below country or territory, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International and proceed to immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge.

90-day visit eligibility

If you are a passport holder of one of the below countries or territories, your passport will be stamped with a multiple entry 90-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 90 days in total. Citizens of the below European countries are also entitled to apply for a pre-arranged visit visa if their 90-day visa on arrival has been fully utilized.

180-day visit eligibility

If you hold a Mexican passport you’re eligible for a multiple entry 180-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 180 days in total.

Dubai immigration procedures

As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International are now conducting random visual screening for visitors to Dubai.

Visitors asked to proceed for visual screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy of your visa with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies, payable only in AED.

Important information

Before you travel to the UAE, check visa requirements and make sure you have a valid visa if needed and that your passport is valid for the minimum required period. Holders of non-standard passports and travel documents may also have different entry requirements: find out if you need to apply for a visa and other passport requirements.

As of April 29, 2016, GCC residence permit holders will need to apply for a UAE visa before arriving in Dubai.

New visit entry permit to the UAE for Indian nationals

From January 7, 2024, eligible Indian nationals with a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a single entry, 14-day visa on arrival. A fee of USD 63 applies.

The online visa application service is available for residents and nationals of many countries around the world. Find out if you can apply for a UAE visa. Applicants' passports must have at least six months' validity as of the date of travel to Dubai and must be machine-readable; handwritten passports are not accepted.

This service is only available to passengers with a confirmed Emirates booking where an Emirates ticket has already been issued and the flight itinerary already includes the desired time in Dubai. The itinerary into and out of Dubai should be on one ticket (PNR), and these flights must be Emirates flights. Note that itineraries including flights to or from Dubai on other carriers are not eligible for online visa service.

A minimum of 4 international working days prior to arrival in Dubai is required; however, Emirates recommends that online applications be made as early as possible.

Tourist visa

A tourist visa is for those who are not eligible for  visa on arrival  or a  visa-free entry  to the UAE. You can apply for a tourist visa through airlines, hotels and travel agents. Read about the eligibility criteria and the steps to apply.

Multiple entry 5-year tourist visa

Who is a tourist visa for, who can apply for your tourist visa, related eservices.

The multiple entry 5-year tourist visa enables tourists to enter the UAE multiple times on self-sponsorship and remain in the country for 90 days on each visit, and can be extended for further 90 days. This type of tourist visa can be issued for all nationalities.

To obtain this visa, the applicant must have:

• a bank balance of 4,000 USD or its equivalent in foreign currencies during the last six months
• a valid health insurance policy applicable in the UAE
• a ticket to and from the UAE

Documents required

To apply for the multiple entry tourist visa, the applicant must provide the following:

• a colored photo
• a copy of the passport
• medical Insurance
• bank statement for the last 6 months with a balance 4,000 USD or its equivalent in foreign currencies
• tour programme
• a ticket for onward journey.

Tourist visa is for those who are not eligible for  visa on arrival  or a  visa-free entry  to the UAE. Tourist visa can be obtained for eligible individual tourists from around the world. Females below the age of 18 are not eligible to apply for this type of visa unless they are travelling with their parents.

According to a Cabinet resolution passed in July 2018, children under the age of 18 years who are accompanying adults, can get a  free visa for their visit from 15 July to 15 September each year.

Tourist visas through agencies and hotels

Licensed travel agents and hotels in the UAE can arrange a tourist visa for you provided you purchase the ticket through them and maintain hotel reservation with the specific hotel.

You can also contact travel agencies in your country for any tourist packages available to the UAE in collaboration with a local tour operator.

It is important to check the authenticity of travel agents you are dealing with and refrain from paying or sending copies of your official documents until after you are 100 per cent sure the tour operator is genuine. You can seek the help of the  UAE embassy in your country  for verification.

Note: The UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas. In order to get a tourist visa to the UAE, you need to get in touch with one of the UAE-based airlines, a tour agency or a hotel (where you intend to stay) in the UAE who will apply for visa on your behalf to the official  visa-issuing authorities  in the UAE.
