Jeremy Clarkson Confirms The Grand Tour’s Final Episode on Amazon Prime

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed the end of The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime after next year. This announcement marks the conclusion of a series beloved by fans since its inception in 2016.

Key Takeaways:

 • End of The Grand Tour: Jeremy Clarkson, along with co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May , will no longer film new series of The Grand Tour after next year, following a decision by Amazon Prime’s executives. This marks the end of a popular show that started in 2016 and quickly garnered a devoted fanbase.
 • Fan Reactions and Future Prospects: Fans expressed their disappointment and gratitude on social media, reflecting on the impact the show had on their lives. Despite the end of this era, there’s speculation that Amazon Prime may revive The Grand Tour with new hosts, a move reportedly welcomed by the current presenters.
 • Clarkson’s Future Endeavours: Clarkson mentioned a focus on his other project, ‘Clarkson’s Farm’, and there are two more special episodes of The Grand Tour slated for release, featuring travels to Mauritania and Zimbabwe.

new the grand tour special

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson, renowned for his role in the popular car show The Grand Tour alongside Richard Hammond and James May, has recently spoken about the future of the series. The show, which began on Amazon Prime in 2016, has been a fan favourite but will see no further series after next year. This decision, made by the streaming platform’s bosses, brings an end to a series that has been both entertaining and influential for car enthusiasts.

Clarkson shared his thoughts on Instagram, stating:

“Been a busy day. No more Grand Tour after next year but a LOT more Clarkson’s Farm. Which, this evening, is looking extremely lovely.”

This post quickly became a hub for fans to express their feelings about the series ending. The emotional reactions ranged from sadness over the show’s conclusion to appreciation for the years of entertainment it provided.

One fan commented:

“Please start a podcast with the three of you, it can just be called the news and you rant for an hour about cars.”

Others expressed their gratitude:

“The end of Clarkson, Hammond and May in whatever it’s called is a sad day. Thank you for everything you did for petrolheads. And now farmheads!”

The influence of the trio was evident in another fan’s words:

“It’s really nice coming to the comments and seeing how these 3 impacted the lives of so many. These lads got me through countless dark times with laughter and endless banter. We all knew the day was coming, and the truest of fans will wish you, Hammond, May, and indeed all of the crew that made the magic happen the absolute best in the next stage. Thank you for inspiring countless enthusiasts around the world.”

Despite Clarkson’s announcement, there’s talk that Amazon Prime might continue The Grand Tour with new hosts. An insider revealed:

“It’s a surprising decision and everyone realises it very much marks the end of an era for the three presenters.”

This potential revival aligns with the presenters’ acceptance of passing the torch to a new generation.

“The Grand Tour is one of Prime Video’s most watched shows and Jeremy, James and Richard have a devoted following. But the guys have made no bones about the fact they’re all advancing in years and they have lots of other projects to pursue,” a source informed The Sun. “They just felt like the time was right and wanted to go out on a high when the show remained popular.”

As fans prepare to bid farewell to this iconic trio, they can look forward to two more special episodes of The Grand Tour, showcasing the team’s adventures in Mauritania and Zimbabwe. This farewell follows their departure from Top Gear in 2015, after a disagreement with producers.

The Grand Tour: Sand Job

“ The Grand Tour ” penultimate special has set a premiere date for later this month.

“The Grand Tour: Sand Job,” which sees Jeremy Clarkson , Richard Hammond and James May reunite in Africa, is set to land on Amazon Prime Video on Feb. 16.

“In the remote African country of Mauritania, our trio follow in the footsteps of the legendary Paris-Dakar rally,” reads the logline. “Instead of bespoke Dakar racers, the boys must complete their journey in cheap modified sports cars. Their journey begins with the world’s longest train and sees them tackle the killer Sahara and perilous river crossings, whilst protecting their precious fuel bowser from exploding.”

Popular on Variety

The show’s fifth and final special recently wrapped in Zimbabwe. It is set to launch next year.

Clarkson, whose farming show “Clarkson’s Farm” will continue at Prime Video, has said he decided to take a step back from the automotive series because it is “immensely physical” and he feels “unfit and fat and old.”

“I’ve driven cars higher than anyone else and further north than anyone else,” Clarkson told The Times. “We’ve done everything you can do with a car. When we had meetings about what to do next, people just threw their arms in the air.”

Clarkson, who was widely criticized for a column about Meghan Markle, will next be seen hosting a new series of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?,” which premieres Jan. 28 on ITV1.

Clarkson, Hammond, and May’s Grand Tour Tenure Is Coming to an End

The Grand Tour’s end comes just weeks after the BBC indefinitely shut down Top Gear.

NicoDeMattia

The old Top Gear trio of Jeremy Clarkson , Richard Hammond, and James May will be hitting your screen as the hosts of The Grand Tour for the final time in 2024. The two final episodes have now been filmed, taking place in Mauritania and Zimbabwe, where the trio we've grown to love will close a chapter that's been three decades in the making.

“We’re done. I have reviewed cars on TV since 1989. That’s 34 years. And after next year, I won’t be doing that any more," Clarkson told The Times .

Since The Grand Tour launched in 2016, after Clarkson was fired from Top Gear for punching a producer, it's gone through several changes. First, it was essentially a Top Gear recreation, with celebrity interviews and an in-studio live show. Then they tightened it up by ditching the celebrity stuff. Eventually, they ditched the live show altogether and just made feature-length specials. And while none of The Grand Tour's iterations managed to capture the magic of Top Gear at its best , it was still one of the most watched shows on Amazon Prime . Millions of people tuned in to watch the automotive equivalent of the Three Stooges (and I mean that as a grand compliment).

Getty

All three hosts have their own projects to pursue outside of The Grand Tour anyway. Clarkson has his farm show and May has a travel show, both of which are also on Amazon Prime , while Hammond still does a lot of work for DriveTribe , while also presenting other TV programs. So they'll still be around, even though The Grand Tour won't be.

This news also comes just a couple of weeks after the BBC decided to indefinitely shut down Top Gear . After host Freddie Flintoff's accident during filming and the subsequent settlement, the BBC decided against renewing the show. Clarkson doesn't blame the most recent trio of Top Gear hosts for not wanting to return, either, specifically Flintoff.

"Richard Hammond was always keen to get back to work [following a crash], whereas Freddie isn’t," Clarkson told The Sun . "I don’t blame him. I know what happened on that awful day and it was horrific."

Getty

Clarkson even said that anyone who wants to take over in Flintoff's spot would come across as "heartless."

In a matter of weeks, the world learned that the two most entertaining car shows on TV are shutting down. We all knew this day was coming soon, as the original Top Gear gang are all either in their sixties or getting quite close, but it's still a little sad to see them go. Sure, their most recent work pales in comparison to the shows from their prime but, like most millennial car nerds, Clarkson, Hammond, and May made an indelible impression on me and the way I look at cars, and I'm sure I'm not alone on that one. Thanks for the memories, chaps.

The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown: release date, trailer and new episodes explained

What we know about the show's Scotland and Russia specials

The Grand Tour

The Grand Tour season 4, episode 3 is coming on July 30, Amazon has confirmed – and it'll take co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May to Scotland in a special called Lochdown. The episode was actually filmed in 2020, mid-pandemic, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see it. The special will imitate the feeling of an American road trip – without actually requiring the British hosts to leave their country.

There's a first trailer for The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown, too, which you can see below.

There's more good news if you're a fan of The Grand Tour Presents: a new episode has been filming this year in Wales and parts of England like Warwickshire. This dovetails with what James May said in an interview last year about filming more episodes closer to home in an effort to release them more regularly. Given how languid the releases have become lately – a year separated the release of the last two specials, Seamen and A Massive Hunt – that will come as a relief.

Below, we'll tell you everything we know about the future of The Grand Tour Presents on Amazon Prime – including details about the Scotland-based Lochdown special, what we know about the new UK episode as it films, and what happened to the lost Russia special that was originally set to follow A Massive Hunt.

The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown release date is July 30, 2021

The next special in The Grand Tour Presents series is called Lochdown – and it just got a release date of July 30 on Amazon Prime Video. Check out the trailer in the section below for confirmation.

That's not all that's coming from Clarkson and pals in the foreseeable future, though.

As of April 2021, another special for The Grand Tour was filming in the UK – the three hosts were spotted filming in Llandrindod Wells, Wales, by The Grand Tour Fans YouTube channel . They were each driving classic French cars, which hints a little at the theme for the episode. Jeremy Clarkson was apparently spotted driving a Citroën CX Break, James May was glimpsed in a Renault Avantime, while Richard Hammond was reportedly in a Matra Murena, according to the channel. Later, the hosts were spot in Leamington in England, filming near a retail park.

That episode seems like it's probably a while away, though. Let's go through what we know about the Lochdown special's filming, first. A first teaser for that episode was released on social media earlier this year – Clarkson describes the special as The Grand Tour 'unplugged'.

Earlier plans to record an episode in Russia were put on-hold because of the pandemic (see below) – so the Lochdown special was filmed in Scotland across nine days earlier in 2020 instead.

"We did it in area of Scotland with not many people," co-host James May told BT . "We didn’t interact with the locals really. There were complicated systems set up for cleaning everything and it was a bit tiresome going through lots of procedures and being tested every day, but it didn’t get in the way of filming to be honest."

The hosts couldn't go to the pub after filming the episode, which must've been a challenge.

While it might be a long wait until the trio and their crew can head to more exotic locations, the intent is to keep making episodes in locations where it's easier to pull off – hence why a Wales-filmed special probably makes sense. "In the short term we might have to reduce our travel ambitions and we’ll have a better chance of doing it," May says. "Better to film in the UK and deliver regularly than promise the earth and not deliver anything. The Grand Tour may become a little more domestic. But it will still be us three which is the important thing. And cars."

That bodes well for the future – and who knows, maybe we'll start seeing episodes of The Grand Tour season 4 land more regularly than once every year again.

The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown trailer

Och aye the new trailer for The Grand Tour Presents... #Lochdown is here pic.twitter.com/0eobci0wpL July 15, 2021

Check out the trailer for The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown above, which was released in July 2021.

To film the upcoming Scotland special during the pandemic, the crew formed a bubble, and no one caught Covid-19 during the shoot. It was reported that the hosts were seen driving classic American cars from Edinburgh to the Hebrides – which suggests some kind of Route 66-style road trip element.

Clarkson was seen driving a blue Lincoln, May was seen driving a red Cadillac, and Hammond was seen in a green Buick. The trio also took part in a drag race on a runway somewhere in south Scotland, for which the cars mentioned were apparently modified, and were seen towing caravans at one point too.

May says that being a bit closer to the home for the hosts doesn't matter that much – after all, viewers on Amazon Prime Video could be watching it from anywhere. "If you're watching The Grand Tour from Sri Lanka, Scotland is as exotic and beautiful as Sri Lanka is from Scotland, so there's always going to be a large part of the audience which finds anywhere in the world fascinating."

And hey, anything that gets the hosts to film new episodes faster seems like a good thing.

The Grand Tour season 4 Russia special: what we know

Yes, the next Special will land later this year.Yes, it’s filmed in Madagascar and yes, there will be cars.Yes, we wanted to go to Russia. No, we couldn’t (we all know why).Yes, we will try again. No, we don’t know when.Yes, we will keep you updated.#TheGrandTour July 7, 2020

The next planned episode for The Grand Tour Presents was meant to take the hosts to Russia – and this is still the idea, one day. It's just been postponed for now due to the pandemic. James May says that lots of preparation has been made for this special, but that it's "just impossible right now". Hopefully, with the incoming wave of vaccines, that might be able to change in future – but it seems unlikely you'll see a Russia special of The Grand Tour at any point in the next year or so.

After the next UK special, though, Clarkson did confirm the plan was to film abroad – they're just not sure where yet.

The grand tour’s penultimate special is out now.

Mike Bartholomew headshot

After an eight-month wait since the release of the last episode, Eurocrash, the penultimate special of The Grand Tour has finally premiered on Amazon Prime.

Subtitled Sand Job (nice), the feature-length special sees Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May cross the Sahara desert, retracing the original route of the Dakar Rally . Their journey starts in in the heart of the West African nation of Mauritania, and roughly retraces the famous race’s route to its iconic beachfront finish.

That’s an infamously tough journey even in specialised desert racing machinery, but it wouldn’t be The Grand Tour without some extra peril, so the team is undertaking the journey in some of the most inappropriate vehicles possible: big, front-engined, open-top sports cars, more suited to cruising the south of France than tackling the biggest sand desert in the world.

Jeremy has chosen a V6 Jaguar F-Type, Richard an Aston Martin DB9 Volante, and James a Maserati GranCabrio, all of which have undergone some serious modification in order to take on the challenging terrain. Clearly, we’re a long way from the days of the three-figure budgets seen in early Top Gear cheap car challenges.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May in The Grand Tour: Sand Job

As we saw in the trailer, the journey isn’t an easy one, with the trio having to deal with sand storms, massive dunes, ravines and actual minefields, as well as a pretty perilous-looking river crossing. There’s also an appearance from the world’s longest train, a 1.2-mile-long beast that transports iron ore and also delivers the cars to the starting point. All the while, the team must protect their vital fuel bowser, required to keep the cars going in this remote part of the world.

It’s more of what we’ve come to know and love from The Grand Tour’s big-budget specials: there’s incredible cinematography showing off the Sahara’s stark beauty mixed in with driving sequences that push the trio’s sports cars far beyond anything they were designed for. Oh, and some explosions, of course.

The Grand Tour presenters take a van across a river

It was the filming of this special that Clarkson said made him realise how “ unfit and fat and old ” he was, leading in part to his decision to step back from the show.

We know there’s still one more special to come after this, filmed in Zimbabwe, which Amazon says is coming “later this year.” Interestingly, Amazon refers to that as the “final special of The Grand Tour with the trio,” reinforcing the suggestion that the show could continue in one form or another after the departure of Clarkson, Hammond and May.

When will The Grand Tour: Sand Job be released in the UK?

Clarkson, may and hammond’s rough-and-ready road trips near their end.

 • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Jeremy Clarkson , Richard Hammond and James May return for The Grand Tour : Sand Job, a special new episode of the trio’s popular motorsport programme due to air on Prime Video .

Debuting in 2016, The Grand Tour was conceived after a much-publicised scuffle resulted in Clarkson leaving the BBC and its popular car magazine show Top Gear . His fellow co-hosts Hammond and May quickly followed suit and before the engine of their previous show had time to cool, the threesome had been snapped up by Prime Video and production for The Grand Tour was underway.

Initially, The Grand Tour followed a similar format to its BBC predecessor, with Clarkson, Hammond and May reviewing cars, engaging with a live audience in a hangar-type space and embarking on various car-related quests. This changed after the show’s third series, with its remaining episodes instead sending its presenters on various racing adventures worldwide which were later released as a series of specials.

With the show nearing the finishing line, we now have details of the first of its final special episodes. Here’s everything we know about The Grand Tour: Sand Job.

When will The Grand Tour: Sand Job be released?

The Grand Tour: Sand Job will debut on Friday, 16 February on Prime Video.

Is there a trailer for The Grand Tour: Sand Job?

A trailer has now been revealed for The Grand Tour: Sand Job, which teases the long and difficult journey that Clarkson, Hammond and May go on in order to complete the Paris-Dakar race themselves.

The trailer shows some of the hurdles that the trio face along the way, including Hammond's Aston Martin struggling in the desert terrain and breaking down in multiple ways — like his air conditioning turning off. But there are a number of funny moments too in the trailer, showing that the penultimate Grand Tour special will be one that will delight viewers.

Watch the trailer for The Grand Tour: Sand Job:

What happens in the grand tour: sand job.

The Grand Tour: Sand Job will take Clarkson, Hammond and May on a new trip to the African country of Mauritania where the hosts must replicate the famous Paris to Dakar rally.

However, like all of their TV treks, there’s a catch.

“Instead of bespoke Dakar racers, the boys must complete their journey in cheap modified sports cars,” explains the show’s official synopsis. “Their journey begins with the world’s longest train and sees them tackle the killer Sahara and perilous river crossings whilst protecting their precious fuel bowser from exploding.”

This special episode of The Grand Tour will see the trio forced to endure red-hot temperatures and harsh sand terrane to finish a challenge that Prime Video has described as “a true test for both the presenters and their cars.”

Is The Grand Tour: Sand Job the last episode of season 5?

No. The Grand Tour: Sand Job is not the final episode of season 5 - it’s the penultimate show.

The final episode of The Grand Tour season 5 will debut later in 2024 but a concrete release date has yet to be pinned down. All we know is that it will take Clarkson, Hammond and May to Zimbabwe.

The decision to end the series comes after Clarkson admitted that producers behind the show had run out of ideas about where to send them.

"I’ve driven cars higher than anyone else and further north than anyone else. We’ve done everything you can do with a car,” Clarkson told The Times . "When we had meetings about what to do next, people just threw their arms in the air."

The Grand Tour: Sand Job will be released on Friday, 16 February on Prime Video.

There's good news and bad news for fans. Good news: "The Grand Tour" will return in 2024. Bad news: this will be its final episode. The trio, who rose to fame through the BBC's "Top Gear," have continued their antics on "The Grand Tour," which has been available on Amazon since 2016.

While the initial seasons of "The Grand Tour" boasted a similar number of episodes to its predecessor “Top Gear," the series has recently been limited to sporadically published special productions. It appears that this was the beginning of the end for "The Grand Tour".

According to the BBC, which cited internal sources, a special episode documenting a trip to Zimbabwe will be released in 2024 , marking the official end of "The Grand Tour".

Despite saying goodbye to "The Grand Tour," it doesn't mean that this popular trio will completely vanish from our screen. Each presenter has their own shows on Amazon's platform. As of now, these productions are set to continue.

It's worth noting that "Top Gear," the precursor to "The Grand Tour," is also seeing its end. Following Clarkson, May, and Hammond's departure, the BBC carried on with the series, introducing new presenters. However, this came to a halt in 2022, when one presenter, Freddie Flintoff, sustained serious injuries in an on-set incident. Nearly a year following the accident, the broadcaster announced its decision to discontinue the program.

The Grand Tour Specials: Everything Confirmed About The Sand Job

The trio from The Grand Tour are about to unleash their penultimate adventure involving a trip across the Sahara in three cheap sports cars.

via The Grand Tour YouTube Channel

Key Takeaways

 • Clarkson, Hammond, and May will embark on their next adventure in the Sahara Desert, retracing the route of the Paris-Dakar Rally in heavily modified budget Dakar racers.
 • The trio will face challenges such as rocky terrain and a river crossing, and will create custom rafts for their sports cars.
 • This may be one of the last Grand Tour specials as Clarkson confirmed that the show is ending, but there are potential plans for a new incarnation of the show in the future.

If the rumors are true, Jeremy Clarkson , Richard Hammond , and James May are preparing for their final adventures on The Grand Tour. The last special, Euro Crash, saw the trio travel across the former Eastern Block of Europe in three of the most unusual cars possible. Now, their next adventure is about to land on Amazon Prime. This time they swap the roads of Europe for the sands of the Sahara Desert, and retrace the route of the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally.

Amazon recently released the full trailer of the special on The Grand Tour YouTube Channel . The trailer looks to show the usual antics the three are famous for. We also get a glimpse of the three cars they will use; cheap sports cars from Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Maserati that are heavily modified into budget Dakar racers. The special has the name Sand Job, and it will land on Prime Video on February 16th. The Grand Tour says this is their “hottest challenge yet.”

Richard Hammond Has Bought His Chevrolet SSR From The Grand Tour Eurocrash

Cheap sports cars are the vehicles of choice, key moments from the grand tour: sand job trailer.

 • Clarkson, Hammond, and May will cross the Sahara desert in three cheap sports cars
 • The trio are retracing the route of the Paris-Dakar rally
 • A minefield and rough terrain provide some challenges
 • The three will also create custom rafts for their sports cars

We don’t get confirmation of the exact vehicles from the trailer, but we do know that cheap sports cars are what the trio has gone for. The trailer also reveals that they are a Jaguar, a Maserati, and an Aston Martin and that the presenters have extensively modified the cars. This is very much in keeping with the tradition of their road trips, with their Top Gear days renowned for some modified action. The desert crossing is not an unknown challenge for the three either, as they have done so in dune buggies and small sports cars back on Top Gear.

The latter was for a Top Gear Christmas special, with the presenters using a Fiat Barchetta, Mazda MX-5, and BMW Z3 to cross the desert of Syria. That was only for a section of their journey, however, with this desert crossing in the Sahara nearly the entirety of their trip. The trailer reveals a few town scenes though, with Hammond having a difficult time stopping people crashing into his Aston Martin. As is typical with their adventures, we get to see some dramatic scenery and backdrops such as the rising dunes and sandy beaches.

The trailer shows some of the challenges the three are set to face, which aside from the dunes include rocky and rugged terrain will push the cars to their limits. A river crossing is also part of the show, and it looks like the trio will build their rafts to try and navigate this obstacle. Again, this is something the three have done before when they built a custom raft in the Top Gear Africa special . That raft was successful so hopefully, no car ends up at the bottom of the river in this one.

A Closer Look At James May’s Mitsubishi Evo Crash On The Grand Tour A Scandi Flick

A surprise is teased in the new grand tour special, top gear & the grand tour specials with the trio.

( Sourced from IMDB )

Speaking to RadioTimes.com ahead of the special’s launch, Hammond suggests there is a surprise in store during the adventure. The trailer shows the three attempts to not drive into a minefield, and Mauritania is on a British government red list for travel. While a minefield in itself is a surprise, Hammond says there was something else that made it an even scarier experience. He said, "There was there was a surprise arrival in [the] minefield, because it's [Mauritania] still on the red list in terms of travel, and the last thing you want in or near a minefield is a surprise.”

The familiar pranking that the three have engaged in over the years also makes a return. In the same interview, Hammond says there was a lot of pranking going on and went on to say the special focuses a lot on the friendship between the trio.

He said the special was “almost The Grand Tour unplugged, so we stripped it right back and we majored on the relationship between the three of us, and the arguing and the breaking and we just laughed." Hammond also said that the special was about capturing “the majesty and splendor of traveling the world”. But at the same time, they are still doing the stupid things they are all famous for.

Why The Grand Tour: A Scandi Flick Is The Trio’s Best Special Since Mongolia

This is one of the last grand tour specials.

It does look like this is the beginning of the end for the trio and The Grand Tour. After the Euro Crash special , two more were in production during 2023. These were this one in Mauritania and an upcoming adventure in Zimbabwe. But in January 2024, Clarkson confirmed to The Times that The Grand Tour is ending, saying that he is “old and fat and unfit.” May spoke on the Fueling Around podcast early in 2023 that the end was on the horizon, but suggested that there is another special coming after these two to wrap things up.

These Are The Sickest Custom Rides From The Grand Tour

The grand tour may still have a future.

This might not be the end of the three on our screens together, however. The BBC recently reported that options are being explored for a new incarnation of the show. This could even include replacing the trio. But perhaps it could see them go on less taxing adventures and potentially stay within the UK. Fans will be happy to learn though that the three will stay on our screens.

Clarkson will continue with more series of Clarkson’s Farm with his huge Lamborghini tractor , while May will continue to do his travel and cooking shows. Hammond also has his Discovery+ workshop show, and he appears regularly on the Drivetribe YouTube channel. For now, though, we can enjoy them all together in some more big adventures. The Grand Tour: Sand Job will launch on Amazon Prime video on February 16th, and we can't wait to see what it's like.

What is the next The Grand Tour special?

By alexandria ingham | jun 6, 2023.

James May, Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson

There aren’t many of The Grand Tour specials left to come to Prime Video. What will the next one be, and when will it come out?

When Variety initially reported that Jeremy Clarkson and Amazon had parted ways, it came with the news that there were four more specials to come. Eurocrash was one of them, which is now available to stream. It looks like there is only one more left with the others canceled.

The Grand Tour will get one final run at some point in 2024. There was a Russian one planned, but that has since been canceled. Of course, that may have been canceled due to the war between Russian and Ukraine and not just because of Amazon and Clarkson parting ways.

What is The Grand Tour’s last special going to be?

The final special will see the trio head to Mauritania and Senegal. The special is titled Sahara Special for now, but we’ll likely see another title closer to the time.

A date for the release hasn’t been confirmed just yet. It is expected sometime in 2024 rather than sometime this year.

Couldn’t The Grand Tour go on without Clarkson? Do we really think that would even happen? Richard Hammond and James May both walked from Top Gear when Jeremy Clarkson was fired from that years ago. The BBC had to bring in new hosts for Top Gear , and it’s just not been as good as it used to be.

There’s no way that Hammond and May would keep The Grand Tour going without Clarkson. There are probably stipulations that wouldn’t allow for it to keep going, anyway. Amazon immediately chose to cancel both shows Clarkson was doing with the streamer at the time of parting ways.

However, Hammond and May both have individual deals with Amazon. Those are set to continue, meaning more shows from them individually.

The New Grand Tour Special Looks Extremely Cold

It's unclear to me why jeremy clarkson, james may, and richard hammond are still making new specials beyond the fact that they can..

Image for article titled The New Grand Tour Special Looks Extremely Cold

Jeremy Clarkson now has a farm and restaurant that he’s tending to , and James May has a pub and also his own travelogue series with Amazon , while Richard Hammond has a car restoration shop that he seems really into . And yet, they still make new Grand Tour specials, even though they haven’t done anything original with them in years. I suppose I would too if Amazon paid me a lot of money to travel the world and dick around with my friends.

Related Content

The latest is called The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick. It’s trailer was released Thursday, and, according to a tweet from James May , will be out September 16 on Amazon.

Clarkson, Hammond, and May spend the trailer making silly jokes, driving cars across ice and snow, and also towing unconventional objects to seemingly disastrous effect. They are treading lots of old ground, in other words, though my only question about this new special is that, if one is to go somewhere to dick around and make a dumb TV show with your friends, why go somewhere so unpleasantly cold? I’d rather do my mailing in from the Mediterranean, if one must. And it’s not like anyone at Amazon seems to care, because if they did they might push Clarkson, Hammond, and May to do something a little more interesting than what they have been doing.

I will still, in the end, watch Scandi Flick , because James May remains untarnished in my heart, though I expect I will watch it in the manner of background music, while doing something else, like gambling. As for Clarkson, Hammond, and May, I’m not sure if anyone would notice if after this they returned to their other hustles and never made another Grand Tour special ever again.

New Edition's Las Vegas residency is still going strong through 2024, though only a few tour dates remain. Luckily, the iconic music group has added additional tour dates and there are a few different ways to buy New Edition tickets.

New Edition began their residency at the Encore Theater in Las Vegas in February, with their stay ultimately being extended through November. After their original six shows, New Edition added two more legs for this year for a total of 10 more concert dates. Performing on their 2024 concert tour are group members Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe, who sing their classic hits like "Candy Girl," "Cool It Now," and "If It Isn't Love."

If you're still looking for how to buy tickets to New Edition's concerts, we've got you covered. Here's our breakdown of the R&B group's tour schedule, purchasing details, and ticket prices. You can also browse tickets and show specifics on StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

New Edition 2024 tour schedule

All six members of New Edition are returning for the remainder of the group's Las Vegas residency, which kicks off on July 3. It features seven shows from July 3 to July 13 in Las Vegas, with the third leg picking back up for three additional concert dates in October and November.

The group is also appearing at the Cincinnati Music Festival in July.

All concert times are listed in local time zones.

How to buy tickets for New Edition's 2024 concert tour

You can buy original tickets for New Edition's 2024 Las Vegas residency concert dates and music festival appearance on Ticketmaster. However, since the residency extension shows went on sale in March 2024, the quantity of remaining original tickets is limited.

Tickets can also be purchased from verified resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats . You may have better luck with the variety of seating options and availability on resale sites compared to the original tickets still left.

It's also important to note that New Edition's shows at the Encore Theater in Las Vegas only permit concertgoers ages 18 and up — so be sure to bring your ID to get into the group's residency performances.

How much are New Edition's tickets?

Given the high demand for the group's remaining Las Vegas residency shows, tickets to see New Edition in 2024 are relatively expensive. Furthermore, ticket prices vary depending on each show's concert date and demand. Resale ticket prices are comparable to or cheaper than original ticket costs.

The cheapest original ticket prices on Ticketmaster begin at $175 for New Edition's Las Vegas shows on October 30 and November 1. The least expensive seats are generally in the left or right mezzanine. However, most other dates with remaining original tickets are a bit more costly, with the cheapest seats coming in at over $200.

On the other hand, original one-day Saturday tickets for New Edition's Cincinnati Music Festival performance start at only $65. This ticket also lets you see artists like Kem, Stokley, En Vogue, and Coco Jones. Check out the full line-up here .

The least expensive resale tickets available to New Edition's Las Vegas residency on StubHub start at $165 for the group's July 5 performance. Vivid Seats offers similar prices for resale tickets, as the cheapest available Las Vegas show passes begin at $165. However, both sites' base fares are slightly more expensive than the $65 original tickets for the Cincinnati Music Festival, as StubHub's begin at $72 while Vivid Seats' start at $73.

Who is opening for New Edition's tour?

Currently, New Edition has not announced any upcoming international tour dates for their 2024 concert series.
