BIG BUS NIGHT TOURS DESCRIPTION

Get ready to be dazzled by the stunning neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip and downtown from a London-style double decker bus. During your open-air night ride, you'll hear all about Las Vegas resorts and exciting insider stories from your informative tour guide. 

Panoramic Night Tour

As dusk falls, the city comes to life illuminated by neon lights. Dancing fountains and erupting volcanoes entertain you as you travel down the Strip. The tour rolls past casinos, wedding chapels, and historic landmarks into the heart of downtown Las Vegas. You’re free to immerse yourself in the best that downtown has to offer, including live entertainment, street artists, vendors, neon signs, costumed entertainers, and of course the world-famous Fremont Street lights.

Check-in for the night tour is between 6:15 pm - 6:30 pm at Stop #2, the High Roller / LINQ Promenade tour bus bay. The tour departs at 7:00 pm. Keep in mind that seating in the open top of the bus is on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may want to get in line early if that’s the Big Bus Tour experience you are looking for.

Stop #2, the High Roller / LINQ Promenade tour bus bay, can be found between the High Roller (that enormous ferris wheel in the Linq Promenade) and the Tesla charging station. Look for a red and yellow “Big Bus Tours” sign.

The night portion of the tour begins on the Las Vegas Strip and continues downtown to Fremont Street where you can disembark the bus and enjoy an hour of free time before the Big Bus departs back to the Linq Promenade Big Bus stop. It’s worth mentioning that during The Strip part of the tour, there are no hop on and offs allowed, for safety reasons.

Adults Only Night Tour

Indulge in an after-hours experience in Sin City on this everyday evening tour with a behind-the-scenes, 21+ look at all your favorite landmarks. Starting at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas Strip, you'll enjoy a welcome beverage while you wait for your double-decker Big Bus tour to begin. Once you've hit the road, your tour guide will share a wide variety of risqué facts and stories along with raunchy jokes about each of your many stops.

The Adults-Only Night Tour departs at 8:00 pm. On the day of your tour, present your ticket voucher or booking confirmation email to Big Bus Tours staff at the Hard Rock Cafe located at 3771 Las Vegas Blvd S #120, no later than 7:15 pm. You'll receive your welcome drink, and then make your way to the Big Bus at MGM Grand, arriving by 7:50 pm at the latest. The tour concludes at approximately 10:15 pm. All passengers must show government-issued ID at the time of tour pick-up. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Construction Starts on Las Vegas to L.A. High Speed Rail Line

Nashville mayor unveils transit plan : Nashville’s mayor has released a $3.1B transportation plan that includes transit improvements and complete streets upgrades for the city. Funding would be through a half cent sales tax that voters need to approve this fall. The plan includes 54 miles of upgraded streets with priority bus treatments and property would be purchased near major transit nodes for TOD and funding would be available to double transit service. A much older example of social housing than Vienna : A lot of social housing advocates look to Vienna Austria for inspiration on creating more affordable housing for cities. But there’s an older example that should perhaps be considered according to Miriam Axel-Lute ; Teotihuacan Mexico in 300 AD. Aging in place or stuck there? Older Americans who believed they’d be able to sell the house they paid off in order to move somewhere that works better for them as they aged are feeling stuck. Finding those places with a smaller footprint and without stairs are few and far between and rising property taxes and other homeownership costs are creating burdens for a large part of the population. $12B high speed rail starts construction to Las Vegas : Construction began on a $12B line between the outskirts of Los Angeles and Las Vegas on a new high speed rail line that will be operated by private operator Brightline. The line will reach speeds of 200mph and the CEO hopes it will be open in time for the Olympics in 2028. Construction will include viaducts and wildlife crossings and land acquisition will be limited due to existing rights of way. ( Julie Strupp | Smart Cities Dive )

Design week has changed Milan : The city of Milan Italy is famous for its “weeks” including a design week and fashion week that take over the city every year. But those short bursts of activity have also changed the commercial real estate market as property owners have succumbed to the lure of short term rentals as aggressive gentrification has set in. The events have changed too, from places of experimentation and conviviality to overcrowded and overhyped scenes. ( Lucia Tozzi | DomusWeb)

Every summer, after the season closes and the oysters begin to spawn, I work to restore sections of salt marsh within our lease whose banks were stripped of oysters long ago. I plant wooden stakes along the intertidal zone to which microscopic oysters will attach in the summer and eventually grow into dense, mature clusters. Of note, the Brightline West high speed rail is part of Fortress Investment Group which was founded by Wes Edens, owner of the Bucks. That rail project has been kicked about for years, wonder how it will play out.
