This is the most disgusting, filthy, smelly, building I've ever been to. Don't even call this a hotel because I don't see how anyone rests or relaxes when they are laying next to garbage from the stay before them, having to use dirty towels after they shower and can't walk on the carpets without contracting disease. My first room was so nasty that I demanded to be moved and ended up in an even nastier room. There is literal mold growing on the carpets. Both times the microwaves were dirty and broken and neither of the TVs worked in either room. Not quite sure how the health department hasn't shut this place down but please spare yourself and book literally any other hotel.

Good place to stay! A little pricey and there's a few weirdos around but all in all not a bad place. Staff is kind, rooms are clean, and they only charge $10 to have overnight guests. If I ever come back to visit I'll come here. Thanks for running a legit business!

This place....is not great. Super sketchy. There are obviously long term tenants that stare visitors down. Was hoping that for almost $100, it was a little better than what we hoped for. It was not. The front desk attendant was quick and personable, but also mentioned she was excited to lock the doors and I can't blame her. There were tissues shoved in the eye hole in the door. The bathroom had a hole in the door where a lock was supposed to be. The air conditioner appeared to need cleaning, there was a slide lock missing from the door, internet was awful even though we were assured it would be great, and the bed seemed to have a plastic cover on it and was rock hard. Will definitely spend lots of extra money next time to stay in a place that feels safer.

I just checked in today--- I thought it was a good deal until I found none of their 3 WiFi networks work . Yet the management swears it does and does not seem to want to be bothered by it. In short, you want to get in the Internet tonight? You'll have to go to another motel. The one at the Rodeway down the street worked fine last night.

Absolutely terrible. The trifecta of failure: incredibly rude staff, filthy rooms and no way to get your money back when booked through a website like booking.com. I'm surprised it didn't have bedbugs. The pillowcases were covered in hair and the carpets haven't been cleaned in decades. Disgusting, and they treat you badly on top of it. Avoid at all costs.

This place is a disgusting bug infected cesspool. I stayed here recently looking for a budget accommodation with my child and was horrified by the conditions. We both woke up with bites, I'm assuming from bed bugs. The hotel is just overall dirty and not well kept up. Also the security is totally lax. The lock on the room didn't work correctly and the neighborhood it's in was pretty shady. Would not recommend to anybody that I don't hate with a fiery passion.

I don't know where to start. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot I knew I was not going to keep my reservation. This hotel in a rough neighborhood. I would not have felt safe to walk anywhere. Homeless people sleeping under parking garage, drug dealers walking the street. Not one car in the parking was complete-missing windows, bumpers, etc. I did manage to go inside. The reception area was filthy, the girl behind the desk had on cut off sweat pants for shorts and dirty tee shirt. All I could say was " I want to cancel my reservation". I would have slept in my vehicle before I would have stayed here. This review is a honest review. I can't say enough of DON'T STAY HERE.

Save yourself the trouble and don't stay at the travel star unless you want to be kept awake all night, I complained at 3:30 am about the noise, I told her where I thought the noise was coming from instead of checking it out she ended up calling two rooms and pissing off the people, she continued to try to convince me it was all in my head, after the 3 call she went and listened for herself The party broke up, but she blamed me for one of the tenants leaving! I asked for a refund for the rest of the week and I was denied I found a sex offender card under my bed, the safety lock was broken and the room smelled terrible, even after a can of air freshener In my book this travel star gets no star

DO NOT STAY HERE! Room is filthy, bed bug bites, has a CURFEW, shower didn't drain,no toilet paper, filthy bedspreads, very bad area of town. Never Ever again! Worse hotel experience ever had. PROSTITUTES all around.

I booked the Travel Star for two nights over Memorial Weekend. We were not happy campers. I totally understand you get what you pay for; however, the Travel Star just falls short on some basic standards for motels in America. First off, bed sheets were soiled when we checked in. We got new linen for the desk and changed them ourselves. Security on the door had be compromised. There was no additional latch or bolt on the inside. The jamb showed damage from some prying the door open in the past. Third, the place is poorly maintained and unclean. Those are the basics. Additionally, the neighborhood surrounding the Travel Star is filled with sketchy shady people. I wasn't comfortable parking my vehicle in their car park overnight. And I was even more uncomfortable taking a short walk to a 7-11 a block over. The place is fine for the brave budget traveler. In addition to a close by 7-11, there's also a liquor store on the same block and a bang'n German restaurant up the street called the Edelweiss. I'd book again if I were traveling solo and packed my own sheets, towels and disinfectant. But I couldn't recommend this place to anyone.
