Trip vs. Vacation: What's the Difference?

Jan 1, 2024

Adventure motorbike on the top of the mountain. Motorcycle trip. off road traveling, lifestyle travel vacations, sport outdoor concept

What is a trip? What’s a vacation? While the technicalities themselves may not matter much, and most of the time, these terms seem to mean the same thing, understanding if you’re taking a trip versus a vacation can ultimately help shape your experience.

In short, here’s the answer you’re looking for, but don’t forget to read on for more valuable insights to improve your experience:

What is a Trip?

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary , a “trip” is defined as “a single round or tour on a business errand.” In other words, a trip serves a purpose and can be related to work or an errand. Regardless, it serves a purpose. It can be a few hours or weeks and tends to have an itinerary. A trip’s goal is not usually to relax.

Examples of a Trip:

  • Business conference
  • International trip with your college class
  • Adventure expedition
  • Weddings, reunions, and potentially other family-related events
  • Sporting events, concerts, retreats

What is a Vacation?

A vacation or holiday is “a period spent away from home or business in travel or recreation.” You’re focusing on relaxation and leisurely activities. You’re probably on vacation for around a week to a few weeks, and focus more on spending time with family, friends, or even alone. It’s more unstructured.

Examples of a Vacation:

  • Visiting a resort with no specific agenda
  • Taking a cruise
  • Visiting a new country just to explore culture, with little-to-no itinerary
  • Cabin retreat
  • Motorcycle touring at your own pace

“I need a vacation to recover from my vacation.”

The saying “I need a vacation from my vacation” is widely accepted as a universal experience for many people. That feeling of coming home from a long trip and being exhausted- wanting nothing more than to take another few days off, is frustrating. But what if I told you that you actually need a vacation to recover from your trip ?

Take the potential hassle and stress of traffic, TSA, long flights, and car rides back home out of the equation for a second. I took an experiential few days off in the last year to travel internationally. I had everything planned out, from city hopping, visiting landmarks, restaurant reservations booked months in advance, and even a half-day motorcycle tour .

These are some of my favorite things: trying new cuisines, seeing new landscapes, meeting new people, immersing myself in new cultures, and touring the open roads in unfamiliar places. So, why was I so exhausted at the end? Well, for one, the trip was fully stacked. I had the experience of a lifetime, but I didn’t take much time to relax. Out of the 10 days I was away, I only took one or two days to walk or ride around the city and nearby towns- or even sleep in, for that matter. I was on the clock because I didn’t want to miss a moment.

I took a trip. It was a trip of a lifetime, but it definitely wasn’t a relaxing vacation. And it took me a bit to realize this. I came home tired. Happy, but very exhausted. I just took 10 days off of work; why did I feel like I just worked for a month straight?

Visualize the difference:

Imagine a trip as a fast-paced train ride through a foreign city, catching glimpses of landmarks and cultural highlights. On the other hand, a vacation is like a walk along a beach or even a leisurely motorcycle ride on the streets, immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the moment.

Why the Distinction Matters:

Understanding the difference between a trip and a vacation can help you:

  • Plan your travel more effectively: Define your goals and expectations.
  • Choose the right destination: Select a place that aligns with your desired experience.
  • Create a balanced itinerary: Include activities that match your travel type.
  • Avoid burnout: Plan buffer days and allow yourself to unwind after a trip.

By recognizing the distinction between these two travel styles, you can curate a personalized experience that truly fulfills your needs and leaves you feeling refreshed and not saying you need a vacation from your vacation.

How to make the most out of traveling:

While a trip is an expedition filled with purpose and activities, a vacation should be synonymous with relaxation and rejuvenation. Let's explore how you can infuse your vacation (or trip, even) with the peace it deserves, ensuring it's not just another busy few days but an escape from the everyday hustle.

1. It has a lot to do with planning ahead, even for rest

  • Create a balanced itinerary. Focus on the things that are important to you, whether that’s adventure or leisure, but generally speaking, your best bet is to do a mixture of both.  If motorcycle riding through scenic landscapes is on your agenda, balance it with more unstructured activities, too, and ones that allow you to recharge.
  • Enjoy the slow days. Resist the urge to pack each day to the brim. Allowing yourself a few lazy mornings can set the tone for your vacation. If you’re on a work trip, avoid spending 100% of your downtime prepping for the next day or next meeting - even if it’s for 10 minutes.

2. Unplug to recharge

  • Turn off your notifications for even a fraction of the time. When you temporarily disconnect yourself from the digital world, you can immerse yourself in where you are. Consider getting outside for a relaxing walk, taking a nap, or exploring without too much of an agenda. Visit the pool, the spa, or even a new restaurant. Unplug yourself for a little bit.

3. Take advantage of your buffer day

  • Before you leave for your vacation , make sure to get your work in order. Doing this will help you to relax more on your day off when you return, as you won't be worried about a pile of work waiting for you.
  • After your vacation , take a day to relax and settle back in. Use this day to think back on your experiences, go through your photos and memories, and rest up. If you can, avoid flying home on late-night flights and scheduling work the very next morning. Give yourself time to unpack.

Should I take a trip or a vacation?

Ask yourself some of these questions:

1. What are your current needs and expectations?

  • Are you feeling stressed and burnt out and need a break from your daily routine?
  • Are you curious about the world and want to explore new places and cultures?
  • Do you have a specific goal or objective in mind, such as attending an event or visiting a family member?
  • Are you looking for relaxation and leisure, or do you want to explore most of the time?

2. What are your interests and hobbies?

  • Do you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, or do you prefer museums and cultural experiences?
  • Do you want to visit a busy city or a quiet retreat?
  • Do you enjoy spending time with others or traveling solo?

3. How much time do you have available?

  • Align your travel with your passions
  • Think about what you want to bring back with you: Souvenirs? Memories? Growth?
  • Focus on enriching experiences that mean something to you, whatever they may be.

Bottom Line

It's clear that both trips and vacations have their unique charms and purposes. Recognizing whether you're setting off on a journey packed with activities and goals or heading towards a serene escape for relaxation can shape the kind of experience you'll have. Whether your next adventure is a busy motorcycle tour or a beach holiday, remember that the beauty of travel lies in finding what speaks to you and what you need at that moment. Here’s to your next journey, whatever form it may take – may it bring you exactly what you’re looking for!

Let’s go on holidays!

👉  The trip to India was amazing.

👉   If I were rich, I would travel around the world .

👉  How was your journey?      ¿Cómo ha ido el viaje/trayecto?

👉  Tiring, it took us 3 days to arrive in Manchester.

👉  The Titanic sank on her maiden voyage .

Vacation vs Trip – Best Comparison Between Trip & Vacation

Vacation vs Trip

The controversy over Vacation vs trip continues to rage among travellers; but, if you’re asking if there is a distinction between the two, I’d say yes. Despite the fact that most of us use these phrases interchangeably, I try to keep them separate as much as possible.

When my family and friends would brag (and sometimes moan) about how many “vacations” I took each year, I recognised the difference.

Although I travel frequently for pleasure, I calmly explained that not every “trip” is a “vacations,” and vice versa. Actually, when I think about it, I don’t take that many trips every year.

Table of Contents

The Difference Between Vacation and A Trip (Vacation vs Trip)

So, what’s the difference between a vacation as well as a trip? The difference is in your expectations. Trips are stuff you do, and they usually have a reason. Vacations, on the other side, are all about having fun. What exactly do we mean when we say this? So, let’s get started!

What is a Trip?

What do you think of as a trip? Our trips are planned. We have a schedule when We go for trip. I’d like to see and do something specific. It generally includes a cultural or educational element, and We always come back altered.

picturesque view of mountain river flowing across mountains

We concentrate a lot of my attention on the outside society while travelling, and We generally out visiting museums, visiting sights, speaking with people, and taking guided visits. On a journey, there is so much to explore and do.

In other words, while we are on a trip, we are really active. As a result of this, We normally have very little leisure.

Most of our weekend vacations to locations like Chicago and Stockholm are considered “short trips.” These quick trips might last anywhere from two to four days.

It was certainly a trip when we travelled up to Quebec City for a travel blogging conference. We drove an eight-hour round trip to the peak, attended the event, and then returned home (we had work the next day).

The moments of the trip when We were eating supper and dozing were the most enjoyable. When you go on vacations, you may find yourself stating, “I need a vacation from my vacation.”

When travelling, the most essential thing to consider is to identify what type of experience you desire.

International Trips

During our first visit to Dublin, Ireland, We intended to immerse myself in as much Irish culture as possible. We made arrangements to see the Cliffs of Moher, Glendalough, and Wicklow County by bus.

We took a free walking tour of Dublin and went to the Guinness Storehouse and Irish Whiskey Museum. Not to mention cultural attractions like the Kilmainham Gaol, where We learnt about the Irish struggle for independence — Would definitely suggest visiting Kilmainham Gaol.

We also went out a lot and went on bar crawls virtually every night. This was not a holiday, despite the fact that We took time off work to visit Ireland. This was a international trip.

What is a Vacation?

Vacations are not similar from trips in that they focus on the experience. Our vacations are largely devoted to self-care & wellbeing. Our primary goal on vacation is to unwind, recoup from the stresses of everyday life, and have fun.

We don’t have an agenda when we are on vacation, & we have n’t given any consideration to what I’ll do. We may get up late or early to go for a morning run because I’m on my own time.

cottages in the middle of beach

It all depends on how we are feeling at the time. That said, while we are on vacation, we normally don’t have a clear itinerary & we are not worried about anything or anyone. When we decide to take a trip, We don’t even carry my laptop with me.

We return home with a lovely glow, more flesh on my bones, and no bags under my eyes after a vacation. Our recent vacation to Bermuda was unquestionably enjoyable.

We chose not to work throughout my vacation, therefore We didn’t bring my laptop with me. We sent out an out-of-office notice and reserved a hotel with complimentary breakfast so that We wouldn’t have to go hungry in the mornings.

International Vacation

We spend a week in Grenada last year, and it’s one of my best vacations in a long time. We didn’t prepare anything ahead of time, except than arranging flights and an Airbnb.

woman in black bikini standing on shore

We merely booked a snorkelling excursion in Grenada and left my calendar open to go with the spirit. We ate a lot of Bajan fish cakes, and We were having the amazing time.

Bajan fish cakes are delicious! After a stressful quarter at work, a vacation in Grenada was exactly what We needed to refocus.

We would have had a dreadful time in Barbados if We had gone there expecting to do as much as We did in Dublin.

Trip vs vacation

So, what’s the conclusion on vacation vs. trip? Is there a difference between them or are they the same? Trips and vacations will mean various things to different individuals, so we recommend that you figure out what you want to get out of them.

Why do you wish to travel to a new location? Are you visiting for the cuisine, the culture, or the sights? Or are you going to unwind, reconnect with nature, or get some rest? There will be no condemnation.

This isn’t to say that trips can’t have a vacation component, or that vacations can’t include a trip component, but the fundamental difference between the two is your expectation and goal.

How to decide Trip Vs Vacation?

Ask yourself the below questions to help you decide whether or not you want to go on a vacation vs road trip :

  • What exactly do I want to do with my time off?
  • What kind of feelings do I wish to have during and after my trip?
  • What brings me joy? What can I do to do more of it when I’m on the road?
  • What do I want to take home with me, whether it’s a better grasp of culture, a lovely tan, or a memento from an event?

We all travel in various ways, but if you want to get a taste of both, consider spending some days lazing on the beach and others seeing sites.

There may be some overlap between what you consider to be your ideal trip or vacation, and that’s OK. Remember, it’s your vacation, and you’ve worked hard for it.

Go out there and do anything you want with your leisure time. Simply pick what type of experience you want to have before you leave – do you need to go on a trip or take a vacation?

travel = viajar (un verbo)

trip = viaje (un sustantivo)

journey = viaje (un sustantivo)

I usually travel to my hometown once a month to visit my family.

He travels a lot for his job. He’s a salesman.

How was your trip? = ¿Qué tal el viaje? (Toda la experiencia: viaje y estancia.)

How was your journey?

After a long journey by jeep, they finally arrived in Nairobi.

He’s travelled a lot since he retired.

I’m taking a trip to LA this summer.

Q: Hey Tom, how was your trip to Rome?

A: It was great! The food was wonderful, and the architecture was marvellous.

Going to America by ship was a long and difficult voyage.

The first manned voyage to the moon was completed by Apollo XI in 1969.

Travel is one of the best ways to learn about other cultures.

I really love travelling. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

Her hobbies include travelling and cooking.

Travelling is a lot of fun. If I had more money, I’d travel more.

jornada = work day

jornal = wage

My work day is from 8 to 5, with an hour for lunch.

He’s a doctor, and his work day is more than 12 hours a lot of the time.

My first job was at a supermarket, and I earned minimum wage.

Her hourly wage is about $12.

Vacation or Trip? A Helpful Guide for Parents

Recovering nail biter. Moon lover. Wannabe Buddhist. Feminist. I write blogs in my kitchen wearing fuzzy socks about the honest hilarity of marriage, parenting, and reluctantly being middle aged. We should totally be friends.

So, you're headed out on a family vacation this summer. Great news! But are you sure? Are you sure it's a vacation? You might want to think about that for a minute. Because a vacation is best described as time away from a job and/or the monotony and frustrations of day-to-day life, with the goal of relaxing and having fun.

Not to be a super downer, but chances are, if you have kids (and they are coming with you), you aren't going on a vacation at all. You're going on what I like to call... a trip. You see, a trip is simply a journey to a place.

While there is nothing wrong with a family trip -- and, in fact, it can be a memorable time of family bonding -- it should never, ever be confused with a vacation. Such confusion can lead to unexpected feelings of regret and disappointment typically taken out on your spouse, who, incidentally, is feeling just as confused and swindled as you are.

2015-07-14-1436906169-2172080-IMG_2225.jpg

To best prepare for your time away, take a look at this handy guide to determine if you are going on a Vacation or a Trip, and thus set your expectations accordingly. And by "accordingly," I mean down a few notches.

How Will You Get There? If you are traveling by car, there is a good chance it's a trip. If you have packed one or more "throw-up bags," clearly, it's a trip. If you packed a training potty, not a vacation. A trip if ever there was one. If you break into a complete sweat loading the car and/or overhead storage compartment you spent a small fortune on because you thought it was kinda cool, well, that's a trip. If packing the car leads to a fight with your spouse about who has a better "system"... you, my friend, are going on a trip.

2015-07-14-1436906227-9638053-IMG_3684.jpg

If you can't see out the back window the entire time you are driving: Trip. If the children have fought about where they are sitting, it's definitely a trip. If the car has a constant smell of farts and fast food, you are on a trip. If you are worried that the bikes will fall off the back of the car the entire drive, sorry to say, trip. If you realize you forgot your sunglasses three hours into the drive because you left in darkness at 4 a.m. to beat the traffic and the sun is just coming up... yikes, that's a trip. If you've heard yourself say, "This will be fun," you are on a trip. If you've broken out the "all we could afford to do growing up was go camping" lecture, you are officially on a trip. If no one heard either of those things because they all have their headphones on, most certainly a trip.

Who Are You Going With? If you are meeting extended family and/or in-laws... Please, don't insult me. Trip. If there has been any pre-planning tension with extended family, perhaps categorized as "passive aggressive," that you have bitten your tongue about, but have taken out on your spouse, yeah, well, that would be a trip. If you are sharing a bathroom with your in-laws and fear an awkward moment, that is a serious trip. If the dog is with you, trip. If you are going with another family and adding their family insanity to yours, you are on a special kind of hell trip.

Where Will You Stay? If your final destination has a kitchen, you are not on vacation. You are on a trip. If you have to grocery shop before or during your time away, it is a trip. If you, at any time during your stay, have to load or unload a dishwasher, that is a Groundhog-Day-style trip.

If there is a pack-and-play in your room, you are on a trip.

If you are in a hotel room with two double beds, trippity trip trip. If you are worried about accidentally seeing your pubescent son or daughter naked, trip. If your kids go to bed at 8 p.m. and you have to be quiet and locked in the room with them, well, that's a classic trip, my friend.

If your final destination is a tent, you are not on a vacation. You are not even on a trip. You are on a camping trip. There will be tears. Mostly yours. Camping, for obvious reasons, gets its own classification. If you have to walk outside to a bathroom and/or shower, you are on a camping trip. If you need coins to get a hot shower, you are soooo not on a vacation... I don't even know what to tell you.

What Will You Do? If you are going to see a fort or visiting an aquarium, trip. If you are touring a battlefield in 90-degree heat, you are on a trip. If you are doing a jigsaw puzzle, trip. If it rains, and you look up laser tag places, that's a trip. If you've spent more than your car payment on cheesy souvenirs you will soon throw away, you are on a trip.

2015-07-14-1436906352-9980514-IMG_0335.jpg

What is Your Role in the Family? If you are the Default Parent and/or the Stay-at-Home Parent, you aren't even on a trip. You are on a work trip, and, in a perfect world, the entire "journey to a place" would be a damn tax write-off. The only known and quantifiable "break" you are getting from life is that for about a week you will not have to open and sort the mail. Other than that, it's business as usual.

If you have a job outside the house, but are also a parent, you are on a vacation from work, but also on a family trip. You will be doing Default/Stay-at-Home Parent duties, which will seem better than work for the first four days, but by the time you're driving home you will find yourself humming "Whistle While You Work" as you daydream about the calm and safety of your office and how reasonable your boss now seems.

Wait. Is It Ever a Vacation with Kids? I'm sorry to say, no. Unless you can pull off the hat trick of family trips: 1. Tropical resort. 2. All-inclusive. 3. Kid program your kids will happily attend.

It will give you moments that feel like a vacation, but still, you're looking at a Vacation-Trip Hybrid at best.

The Dream There's a great saying that goes, If you are lucky enough to be on vacation, you're lucky enough. And the same goes for a family trip. Those "journeys to a place" hold a special meaning in the history of your family, and, with the right amount of time and nostalgia, someday you'll even laugh about that time Sally threw up on you after an hour of waiting in line to meet Mickey Mouse. She was going to hear the "F" word eventually anyway, right?

But the real dream is to someday be brave enough to leave your kids behind, hop on a flight, and get to a place where the waiters bring you piña coladas while you lounge on the beach. You won't need a guide to help you understand if you are on vacation. You'll know. Because you'll only put sunscreen on your own damn self and you'll fall asleep reading a book to the sound of the waves. Now, that's a mother frackin' vacation.

Vayamos a continuación  paso a paso:

Por ejemplo: «I travel to school by foot» o «I travel to work by train». Por ejemplo: « Do you remember when we traveled along the Costa del Sol?

  • On weekends I travel in search of the sea.

  • Every time I can I travel by train.

Cada vez que puedo viajo en tren

  • On weekends I travel through Andalusia, I love its towns.

  • What I like the most is traveling along the coast.

  • I don’t like traveling with you because you run a lot in the car.

  • When I go on a trip I usually travel in a traveler.

  • I don’t want to go to Paris. I don’t like journeys that last so long !!

No quiero ir a París.

  • We have been thinking for months about the journeys we have to do by plane.

  • We have spent two weekends at base camp preparing for the journey across the desert.

  • I was very restless during the voyage to Chile.

Trips vs. Vacations: What’s The Difference Between Trip and Vacation?

What's the difference between a trip or vacation?

Trips vs. vacations is an ongoing debate amongst travelers, however, if you’re wondering if there’s a difference between trips and vacations, I’d say absolutely. Although most of us end up using these terms interchangeably, I differentiate the two as much as possible.

I realized the difference a few years ago when my family and friends would rave (and sometimes complain) about how many “vacations” I was going on a year. I politely clarified that although I travel often for leisure, not every “trip” is a “vacation” and vice versa. Actually, now that I think about it, I don’t take many vacations a year.

What’s the difference between trip and vacation?

My “trip” to ireland, my “vacation” to barbados, final thoughts: vacation vs trip.

que es vacation trip

So what’s the fundamental difference between a trip and vacation?

The difference is your expectation.

Trips are something that you do and it often has a purpose. On the other hand, vacations are about the experience. What do I mean by this? Well, let’s dive in!

What is a trip?

What do you consider a trip?

My trips are intentional.

On trips, I have an agenda.

I want to see and do something in particular. It usually has a cultural or educational component and I return changed in some way.

During a trip, I put a lot of focus on the outside world and I’m usually out at museums, visiting attractions, chatting with locals and taking guided tours. There’s so much to see and do on a trip.

In other words, on a trip I am extremely active. With that being said, because of this, I usually have very little downtime.

I consider most of my weekend travels to cities like Chicago and Stockholm , “short trips”. These short trips can be anywhere from 2-4 days.

When I drove up to Quebec City to attend a travel blogging conference, that was certainly a trip. I drove 8 hours to the summit, attended the summit and turned back home (I had work the next day). Phew!

During my first trip to Dublin, Ireland I wanted to experience and embrace as much of the Irish culture as I could.

I booked bus tours to see the Cliffs of Moher, Glendalough and Wicklow County.

I joined a free walking tour of Dublin, visited the Guinness Storehouse and the Irish Whiskey Museum .

Not to mention visiting cultural sites like the Kilmainham Gaol where I learned about the Irish fight for independence – I highly recommend checking out Kilmainham Gaol.

I also partied hard – I joined pub crawls almost every night.

Although I took time off of work to travel to Ireland, this was no vacation. This was a trip.

The most relaxing parts of this trip was when I was having dinner and napping on the bus.

You know the saying, “I need a vacation, from my vacation”, it’s a real thing when you go on trips.

The most important thing to remember when you travel is to know the kind of experience you want.

In Ireland, I wanted to see everything (or as much as I could), so I set my expectations on doing exactly that.

Trips vs. Vacations – would you consider my trip to Ireland a trip or a vacation?

What is a vacation?

What is considered a vacation?

Vacations are different from trips because vacations are about the experience.

My vacations focus primarily on self-care and wellness. My main concern on a vacation is to relax, recover from the day-to-day grind and be merry.

On a vacation, I have no agenda and generally, I haven’t put a lot of thought into planning things to do.

Since I’m on my own time, I may wake up late or I may wake up early to go on a morning run. It really depends on how I’m feeling.

With that being said, on a vacation, I usually have no set agenda and I’m not stressing out about anything or anyone. When I set my intentions on going on a vacation I don’t even bring my laptop. I leave work at home.

After a vacation I come home with a nice glow, more meat on my bones and no bags underneath my eyes.

My recent trip to Curaçao was certainly a vacation. I decided that I wasn’t going to do any work on my vacation so I didn’t bring my laptop. I put up an out-of-office away message and I booked a hotel that offered free breakfast so I wouldn’t have to search for food in the mornings.

Last year I spent a week vacationing in Barbados and this was one of my first vacations in a long time.

Aside from booking flights and an Airbnb, I did not plan much ahead of time. I only arranged a Barbados snorkeling tour and I left my schedule open so I could go with the flow.

I ate plenty of Bajan fish cakes and yes, I was living my best life.

que es vacation trip

Vacationing in Barbados was the self-centering experience I needed after a hectic quarter at work.

If I went to Barbados with the same expectation to do as many things as I did in Dublin, I would have had a terrible time.

Trips vs. Vacations – would you consider my vacation to Barbados a trip or vacation?

So what’s the final verdict – trips vs. vacations? Are they the same or are they indeed different?

Everything considered, trips and vacations will mean different things to different people, so I urge you to discover the purpose of your travels.

Why do you want to explore a new destination?

Are you going for the food, the local culture or the attractions. Or are you going to relax, connect with nature or catch up on sleep. No judgment.

This doesn’t mean that trips can’t have a vacation component or vice versa, but the underlying difference when picking one or the other is your expectation and purpose.

To help you figure out if you want to go on a trip or vacation, ask yourself the following questions:

  • What do I really want to do during my time off?
  • How do I want to feel during and after my trip?
  • What makes me happy? How can I do more of that while traveling?
  • What do I want to bring home with me, be it cultural understanding, a nice tan or a souvenir from an event?

You might find some overlap between what you define as your perfect trip or vacation and that’s perfectly fine. We all travel differently, however if you want a little bit of both, consider mixing things up by spending some days lounging on the beach and other days exploring attractions.

Remember, it’s your time off, you’ve earned it.

Go out there and spend your free time doing whatever you want. Just decide what kind of experience you want to have before you go – do you want to go on a trip or would you rather go on a vacation?

Vacations vs. trips: it all comes down to perspective. Vacations are for rest and renewal, but trips can be full of discovery, action, and novel experiences. Whichever you choose, they both offer priceless memories and chances for development. Accept every travel for what it has to offer, whether it’s an exciting excursion or a relaxing holiday.

I appreciate the personal touch you bring to your travel experiences, offering insights that go beyond the typical tourist spots.

It’s great that you mentioned that you should spend your free time doing whatever you want whenever you go on a trip or vacation. If you want to take it easy and not participate in too many activities, it could be a good idea to make sure that you are staying in a nice hotel. If you are going to be staying in your hotel a lot, you will want to make sure that it has a relaxing environment.

Your travel tips are great. Enjoying the ride requires keeping them in mind. This year, we plan to travel a lot. thank you for website information

  • I would like to travel to Australia . – Me gustaría viajar a Australia.
  • Josephine hates to travel early . – Josephine odia viajar temprano.
  • We need to travel as far as we can tonight.
  • Does any section of science consider time travel a possibility?
  • Pay attention when I talk about my travel plans .

  • From here to Paris it’s only a two hour trip.
  • They took a weekend trip to the beach .
  • The landscape is magic, the trip is far from being over.

  • We must journey to the land beyond the mountains.
  • I will journey across the Sahara. – Yo viajaré a través del Sahara.
  • She journeys across the world. – Ella viaja por todo el mundo.
  • A journey by train is always full of joy and excitement.
  • We always consider our life as a journey.
  • During our journey we had to face lot of inconvenience.

  • My friends will go on three __________ next week. Mis amigos harán tres viajes la semana próxima.
  • The _________ includes an entrance to the museum .
  • How was your __________ to Paris? ¿Cómo fue tu viaje a París?
  • They can also do the ____________ by boat .

  • I used to ________ a lot with my family. Solía viajar mucho con mi familia.
  • We’ll go on a ________ this weekend. Iremos de viaje este fin de semana.
  • My brother is on a school _________.

US man returns from Europe to $143,000 T-Mobile bill for using phone overseas

Gigantic bill apparently reflected using 9.5 gigabytes of data on a phone that had not been set up for international roaming

A Florida man was stunned to come back from a European trip and – upon checking his phone bill – realize that he had been charged a staggering $143,000 by his phone company for using his device while overseas.

ABC Action News reported that Rene Remund and his wife had toured Switzerland last September and had even gone to a T-Mobile store to share his travel plan with his phone provider before leaving.

But the gigantic bill apparently reflected using some 9.5 gigabytes of data while overseas on a phone that had not been set up for international roaming.

Remund told ABC that he called T-Mobile and waited on hold while the charges were examined and the person he spoke with informed him that the bill was not a mistake and that he was liable for it.

Remund replied: “You’re kidding me?”

He then hired a lawyer, who contacted ABC for help. Shortly after T-Mobile were contacted by ABC, the company offered to credit Remund’s account.

T-Mobile told ABC : “We recommend our customers check the travel features of their plan, such as international data roaming, before departing … if a customer is on an older plan that doesn’t include international roaming for data and calling, they’ll need to make sure they’re using airplane mode and wifi when using data to be certain the device doesn’t connect to an international network.”
