I just ran the game today and was able to get into the intro mission (didn't play much since I didn't have much time) but everything ran fine on Windows 10 version 2004 I just extracted the pre-installed version to a folder on my D drive and ran it from there.

But if you want to experience commanding a large space naval vessel, Star Trek Bridge Commander is the only game to suit. Here the player sits in the command chair and issues orders usually through a convenient menu system. This is the opposite to most spaceflight games where you zip around in one-man craft or pilot a cargo ship from outside. For added immersion, Star Trek Bridge Commander lets you captain a Starfleet spacecraft as yourself, not as a character from television or the movies. The in-game tutorial is part of the campaign's first mission and helpfully introduces the player to the basics.

The patched the game using the download link on this site. Then downloaded the No-CD crack using the download link on this site. Then replaced the exe. for the game with the No-CD crack. Thanks!

The various Star Trek computer games have resulted in their share of well-meaning duds – great concepts that promised this or that but ultimately failed to please either fans of the Star Trek universe or computer gamers in general.

This is not some kind of simulator back at the Academy, where your actions amount to passing or failing an exam. In this game, command is thrust upon you-a junior officer-when the ship you are serving aboard gets caught in a mysterious stellar catastrophe. The resulting death of your captain, the destruction of the ship, and your lucky survival jumps you to a command of your very own. Wet behind the ears and with an untested crew, you are tasked with the responsibility of finding out the cause of this massive explosion. Let’s hope you stayed awake during those command classes back at the Academy. But all is not lost, Captain Pickard and Commander Data (the voices of Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner) will be on hand to give out sage advice.

In the first-person bridge view, you are essentially an immobile and mute captain (The Captain Pike Sim, as the folks at Activision like to call it). In easy mode, the surrounding bridge crew will carry out your every command. Face a bridge officer and a list of commands will pop up for you to chose. Each officer has his or her own specialty AI (weapons officer, science officer, navigator, etc.) and will carry out orders (and alert you to problems or events) to the best of their abilities.

You will retain the same crew during the course of your missions and will learn more and more about their personality, weaknesses, and strengths as the game progresses-using each to effect the best solution to a problem is one of the skills a captain must master. At medium difficulty, you will have a more hands-on experience and will exercise more control over your ship’s actions (choosing destinations, weapons, targeting, etc.). In hard mode you get to be an overachiever and do it all yourself.

The game follows a story-based style of gameplay where missions-roughly about seven to eight-are grouped within episodes. And episodes are grouped within seasons. You can play missions in any order within episodes (or even skip missions), though not playing a mission may close out that mission for later play. Missions will further your main story (the investigation) and involve a variety of tasks including interceptions, escort, diplomacy, encounters with the Cardassians, Klingons, and Romulans-and, of course combat. Though you can play out battles from the bridge, the exterior tactical view is the recommended (and most fun) option. The external interface gives you screens and monitors for keeping track of your speed, shields, weapon status, and position, while your crew will also keep you informed of any important events.

Bridge Commander is one of the most realistic and captivating starship simulations ever made. Few sci fi games get to be this immersive, and you don’t usually see this kind of originality in gaming either. Playing it gives you the feeling of being a part of the “Star Trek†universe like few computer games have done before.

I am at least not the only one and the Internet is full of questions about this game and how to get it work at Windows 10 

Is there any solution for now?

So at what point are you in your effort to run the game are you having a problem ? Discribe the problem in detail,

tell us what fixes have of those you have already read about that you have tried ?

My first port of call with a game from 2002 would be...

- Verify Legacy Components & Direct Play   are enabled.

(Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On or Off )

- Major Win10 old game issue....

When running disk based games that use SafeDisk copy protection you need to download a noCD fix/hack, to circumvent

MS's DRM Blocking ... Details of this and a few other issues in my post at  --this thread--

The Game just doesnt start. neither the installation file nor the game itself. Starting from CD via Iso File. open setup.exe but nothing happens. sometimes its in the task manager but dont run. 

Compatability is on win xp sp 2 and sp 3 both wont work.

We can't help with ISO file versions of games. They have different issues from retail versions of games.

The noCD fix obviously would not be necessary, but you would still want to verify Direct Play is enabled.

To discover the issues that may be peculiar to the 'version' of the game you are trying to install you would do better to

inquire further at the forums on the site you downloaded the game from (or similar site).

No that has nothing to do with the iso file. ive tried several iso file even one which i created and found on an very old hardrive from the original cd 2003 

- And its the point that the program to install wont start but show in the task manager.

Nothing works on your windows 10. 

I made it finally by installing it on an windows 7  64 bit machine and just copy the game folder to the win 10 pc. 

It has to be something changed something at windows that the games from that era won't install anymore. What is it?

hello my solution to install star trek bridge commander by ISO file was.

setting the map that contains the iso fill into the root map of C:\ drive.

and open it with deamon tools and run the autorun from it with no trouble at all.

i had the same problem.

so maybe you can try this as wel.
