Vietnam and Cambodia - 12 Days. Departure every Monday from Hanoi

From booking to exit from Cambodia our private holiday was perfect. Legend Travel Group hosted by Toni Bui and Danny Nguyen were on the top of their game. There were many comms weeks before we travelled, and each one was clear and all requests accepted, with a reasonable charge of course. We were met at each airport and before each excursion by excellent guides and drivers. The guides were very well informed and enthusiastic. The best in Vietnam was Tiat in Saigon, but Tian in Hanoi, June in Hoi An and Borel in Phnom Penh, Ron and Raty in Siem Reap ere also good. We were able to determine our schedules and start times but relied on our guides to advise us which they did very well and politely. The drivers were excellent especially in Hanoi and Saigon where the traffic can only be seen to be believed! We went 5* with our hotel choices. They were variable in how 5* they were. Du Lac hotel in Hanoi was out of the French district but was only £1 ride in a Grab taxi, or 30 minutes walk. KOI resort and spa was lovely in Hoi A but was again away from the Old Town where the atmosphere was. A bit further out with a £1.50 Grab needed. It would have been better to be closer. The Majestic Hotel was lovely, in a great location. They tried to put us in a room without windows but quickly found another windowed room at the back of the hotel. It was okay but there was air con machine noise outside. The best 5* hotels were in Cambodia. The Palace Gate in Phnom Penh was literally outside the palace gates and also near nice restaurants etc. But again the room was next to a building site. Luckily our day started early to prepare for our excursions when building noise started at 7am. The best hotel of our trip was Angkor Village. An oasis in the middle of the city. Quiet, lush and peaceful. The staff were exemplary. Would definitely recommend these 2 Cambodian hotels. Throughout Danny was our point of contact via WhatsApp. He was responsive and helpful, and made every effort to make our holiday of a lifetime, perfect. And it was. Thank you to Danny and Toni.

Legend Tours, their operatives, guides and drivers were excellent! I would recommend them to anyone who wished to go to Vietnam and Cambodia. They deserve 5 stars!! When my husband's luggage was left behind at the Hanoi airport (Vietjet, along with most of our tour group's), Danny tirelessly traced it, and made sure it arrived as quickly as possible, even getting his own employees to pick it up and deliver it when again Vietjet left it at Hoi An. Danny was always available to solve any difficulties we had and cheerfully booked our internal air flights, checking us in each time. Our tour guides in Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue, Ho Chi Minh and Angkor Wat were very professional, knowledgable and always thinking of our comfort and enjoyment. All our drivers were experienced, navigating us smoothly wherever we went and helping us in and out (along with our luggage), as needed. We went for 4 star hotels. All, except for the Golden Central Hotel in Ho Chi Minh (lack lustre staff, no packed breakfast which they had agreed to provide to take with us due to our early flight on the day we left and a power point which was loose in the wall), were excellent. Their staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Our final hotel, the Royal Angkor Resort was amazing! Our booking process, thanks to Tony and Danny was trouble free. Any time I contacted them, they were back with an answer to my query within 30 minutes. Would give Legend Tours 5 stars for their expertise, customer relations, knowledge of their country and ability to solve any and all problems!!

The tour was somewhat different more than expected in many respects. On the good side Angkor Wat was spectacular and the down side too much overland travel in such a short time. Cancellation Policy & Payment Terms

• If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated hereunder.
• Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation
• Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
• Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
• Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

Payment Terms

• Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
• There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
• Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.
• Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.

Welcome to  Siem Reap , picked up by our driver and transferred to the hotel to check-in. The room is at your disposal from 02:00 PM onwards.

If time allows, in the afternoon, visit  Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chorm  shrine by yourself where local people praying for good luck, happiness, and safe journey once they are traveling.

Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

08:00 AM:  Meet our tour guide, then we drive to  Angkor Thom  that was the masterpiece of King Jayavarman VII.

08:30 AM:  We begin to visit  Bayon Temple.  At the exact center of Angkor Thom, this is an eccentric expression of the creative genius and inflated ego of Cambodia’s most celebrated king.

Continue to visit  Terrace of the Leper King.  Then, we continue along the  Terrace of Elephants , originally used as a viewing gallery for the king to preside over parades

12:30 PM:  Have lunch at a local restaurant

02:00 PM:  We visit  Ta Prohm “Tomb Raider” fame .

After around one and a half hour, we journey out to the Mother of all temples,  Angkor Wat . Believed to be the world’s largest religious building.

05:00 PM: Transfer back to your hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

On this day, you are free at your leisure until being picked up and transferred without guide to the airport for the flight to  Hanoi .

08:15 – 08:30 AM:  Meet your tour guide at your suggested places around Hanoi Old Quarter including:

• Tran Quoc Pagoda , a Buddhist relic and national heritage lying on the West Lake.
• Ho Chi Minh Complex , the final resting place of Viet Nam’s greatest father; his house-on-stilt and  One pillar pagoda – modeled after a lotus flower, a symbol of Hanoi.
• Temple of Literature  constructed in 1070 dedicating to Confucius, sages, and scholars. It was also the first university of Viet Nam once.

12:30 PM:  Relax and have lunch at a local restaurant in  Hanoi Old Quarter . In the afternoon, spend time to explore:

• The traditional ceramics village of Bat Trang . Visit showrooms and see how they model the products.
• Ngoc Son Temple  dedicated to Tran Hung Dao – General Commander for his struggle against Mongolians.

03:30 PM:  Drop you off at your hotel.

Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

• Transfer:  Private car

07:45 – 08:30 AM:  Depart to  Bai Dinh pagoda  and  Trang An  eco-tourism site. Have short break en-route to free your legs.

10:30 – 11:00 AM:  Visit Bai Dinh pagoda – Southeast Asia’s largest Buddhist complex which consists of several temples and over 500 intricately carved statues of Buddha

12:30 PM:  Then, you will have lunch in a restaurant with local special dishes.

01:30 PM:  We will visit Trang An by a boat trip through cave chains and an exciting  “Kong – Skull Island” film studio.

06:30 – 07:00 PM:  You will be dropped at your hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

08:00 – 08:30 AM:  Pick-up at hotel and start the 3 hour-and-a-half drive to  Hong Gai  Tourist Wharf, check in Oriental Sails JSC’s private waiting hall – The OS Lounge.

12:15 – 12:45 PM:  Embark on main cruises by a transfer boat. Listen to cruise briefing and receive room key.

01:00 – 03:30 PM:  Savor a delectable lunch on Oriental Sails cruises’ restaurants further along the limestone islands of  Bai Tu Long Bay , heading to the first place for activities.

You have 2 options to choose:

Option 1:  Discovery local daily life: Take a bamboo rowing boat trip around  Vung Vieng Fishing Village

Option 2:  Take kayak at by yourself with the help and instruction of our tour guides around the Village.

05:30 – 06:00 PM:  Return to overnight cruises and have bath then relax as the sun starts to set.  Enjoy the  Happy Hour  at the bar and on the sun deck while joining the cooking class with our chefs.

07:00 PM: Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, night squid fishing or just laze around. Singing and dancing activities are available till 10:00 PM .

Overnight on board at Cong Do Area.

Note: We recommend that you bring an overnight bag with you to pack for your trip to Halong Bay so that you don’t have to lug all your bags with you. You will be returned to the same hotel in Hanoi after your trip and can safely store your luggage there.

06:30 – 07:00 AM:  Start your day with  Tai Chi exercise  on the sundeck.

07:00 – 09:00 AM:  Catch morning view of seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast while cruising toward  Thien Canh Son Cave . Visit Thien Canh Son Cave – the medium size and less visited cave in Bai Tu Long Bay

09:30 AM:  Check-out room. Luggage can be delivered to the reception area.

09:30 – 11:00 AM: Head back to the Harbor. Have early lunch on board. Disembark the main cruise at around 12:00 PM .

12:00 – 04:30 PM: Transfer back to Hanoi and trip finishes at the hotel around 04:30 PM

Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Have a  local breakfast  at your hotel. You are free to relax until being transferred to the airport (without tour guide) for your departure flight. Room is at your disposal until noontime. Meals on your own.
