The Charter Boat Lady Em is a 65ft fishing machine! She is a big, beautiful boat that can handle any sea, any sea condition and do it with style and ease. It truly is a "Cadillac Mac Daddy" ride! The Lady Em has lots of room in the cabin, lots of bunk space and a big live well with even bigger fish boxes. We can fish up to 8 passengers on a multi day fishing trip.

2 & 3 day trips are what get the crew of the Lady Em excited. This is what we live for, to get away from land for multiple days and get to fish the distant offshore waters from 70 to 150 miles.

With Multi Day Fishing Trips Our Fishing Options are Limitless

We are able to fish for a multitude of different offshore and deep water species on the same trip.

Typically we will do a combination of deep water live bait fishing for big reef fish like amberjacks, groupers and snappers, we can swordfish at night while drifting in 1,500 to 3,000 ft of water. We have the option to tuna fish for yellow fin tuna and dolphin fish around the floating oil rigs in the Gulf as well. We offer truly spectacular Destin charter fishing trips!

We typically will customize our fishing trip to the customers desires and time frame. We have several different start times, but typically the earlier we leave the better. I really enjoy leaving the night before and traveling all night to be on the far offshore fishing grounds at daylight.

Multi day and overnight trips are special for several reasons. Watching the sunset and rise while far offshore is not something that everyone gets to do. It is pretty awesome just being there. It's like a serious adult camping trip with all of the comforts of home plus the Gulf of Mexico thrown in! The fishing is incredible and you never know what you are going to catch next.

The Lady Em has a full galley and we eat good on our 2 day trips. Steaks on the grill, some fresh fish and cold beverage top it all off. A hot shower and some serious sleep, lead to sunrise on the Gulf and a fresh cup of coffee. Time to go back to work!

Spring/Summer 2024 Fishing Trips

Gulf of Maine Haddock/Pollock   – $650  – Viking Starship This is a limited passenger fishing trip where we will be heading north to the famous Gulf of Maine where we will be targeting Haddock, Pollock, Red Fish, and other ground fish known to inhabit this area. We have even caught fish very well at anchor during the night, so bring your coolers, we are allowed a multi-day bag limit!

Trips:  4/19-4/21 (Weather Date – April 26), Departs:  6 pm Returns:  11 pm Capacity:  35

2 Day Tile/Cod Wrecks LTD   – $675  -Viking Starship We will spend One Full Day fishing in the deep water targeting Golden Tilefish and other deep water bottom dwellers. Then we will spend the next day hitting our far east Codfish Wrecks.

Trips:  5/3-5/5 Departs:  6 pm Returns:  11 pm Capacity:  28

2 Day Deep Water Tile/Pollack Wrecks LTD   – $750  -Viking Starship This trip will have 2 Full Days of fishing in deep water. One full day of fishing in the deep open bottom for Golden Tilefish and other deep canyon dwellers, and another full day of fishing some of the deep water wrecks known to hold Big Pollack, XL Golden Tilefish, Hake, and possibly Wreckfish, Barrelfish, and MORE!

Trips:  5/7-5/10 (Weather Date – May 14) Departs:  6 pm Returns:  9 am Capacity:  28

38 Hour Tile Express   – $575 –  Viking Starship These trips venture out to very far away fishing grounds that we normally fish on overnight long-range trips. It is a full day of deep dropping for Golden Tilefish, Hake, Pollack, Cusk, and sometimes Barrelfish, Wreckfish, and other exotic deep bottom dwellers. Make sure you have plenty of braided line on your reel and various sinker sizes.

Trips:  5/17-5/19 Departs:  6 pm Returns:  8 am Capacity:  30

2 Day Deepwater Exploratory ULTRA LTD   – $900  – Viking Starship This is an Ultra limited passenger deep water fishing trip where Capt. Steven Sr. will be exploring for new grounds and wrecks in deep water areas searching for Golden Tilefish, Wreckfish, Barrelfish, Hake, and all the other deep-water bottom dwellers.

Trips:  5/20-5/23 Departs:  6 pm Returns:  9 am Capacity:  25

3 Day Tile/Cod/Fluke LTD – $950 –  Viking Starship These trips will spend the first day deep dropping for tilefish. The second day we will be fishing for Codfish. The third day we will fish the world-famous Nantucket Fluke grounds known for holding huge amounts of Giant Slob Fluke. This is the perfect Memorial Day Weekend Getaway and will be a cooler filler!

Trips:  5/24-5/27 Departs:  6 pm Returns:  8 pm Capacity:  28

30 Hour Nantucket Sleigh Ride – $500 –  Viking Starship Fluke, Fluke, Fluke!!! We will be hunting for giant fluke in the double digits at Nantucket Shoals in depths from 40 feet to 120 feet. We will be supplying squid and spearing, but you are welcome to bring your favorite fluke bait. Looking for the trophy fluke of your dreams? Spend a solid day of fluking on the Viking Starship.

Trips:  5/30-6/1, 6/6-6/8 Departs:  9 pm Returns:  3 am Capacity:  30

2 Day Tile/Fluke   – $675  -Viking Starship The best of both worlds during the best time to target them! One day fishing in the deep-water canyons for Golden Tilefish and other deep water bottom dwellers, and one day fishing the World Famous Nantucket Fluke grounds!

3 Day Full Moon Slob Tile ULTRA LIMITED Special – $1100 – Viking Starship This is an Ultra-limited passenger deep water fishing trip where Capt. Steven Sr. will be fishing 3 Full Days in  deep water areas searching for Golden Tilefish, Wreckfish, Barrelfish, Hake, and all the other deep-water bottom dwellers. Full Moon equals Big Fish! This will be a trophy hunt for sure!

VIKING STARSHIP AND VIKING STAR OFFSHORE TRIPS

Coolers are highly recommended on all Viking Starship and Viking Star trips. Please bring them with you.

Tackle is available for purchase on all Viking Starship and Viking Star trips, but we suggest you bring as much of your own as you can.

Food and meal plans are available for purchase on the spring trips. Typically, we will contact you a week prior to your trip to review a meal plan to see if you are interested. There is no galley available on the fall trips.  You will need to provide all of your own food. There are microwaves available to heat up food. There are beverages available for purchase.

For all offshore trips, please call ahead for rod rentals and availability.

All offshore trips provide you with plenty of ice for your fish. If you bring a cooler with food, please bring your own ice for yourself.

Bait is supplied on all offshore trips. If you would like to bring some of your own, feel free.

Fall 2024 Fishing Trips

3 Day TNT   LTD   – $875 – Viking Star These trips focus on deep dropping for Tilefish and other deep-water bottom dwellers by day and chunking for Tuna at night. If the conditions are not favorable for bottom fishing, we will troll or chunk for Tuna, Mahi, and other large pelagic species.

Trips:  9/2-9/5, 9/16-9/19, 9/30-10/3 Departs:  7 pm Returns:  7 pm Capacity:  20

60 Hour Tuna/Mahi LTD   – $625 –  Viking Star All Tuna trips typically troll by day and chunk by night. Sometimes we “pot-hop” for Mahi-Mahi, sometimes we chunk during the day. It all depends on what the captain thinks gives you the best chance to catch! All these trips have an opportunity for different Tuna species, Mahi-Mahi, Marlin, Swordfish, Wahoo, and more! **Note: When trolling, sometimes you will be paired up with a partner for maximum trolling effectiveness.  Trolling lures are supplied by the boat, but please feel free to bring your own. While trolling, everyone will be set up into a paired team, as there are a limited number of lures that can be trolled effectively. Team members can switch every half hour, hour, etc., or every fish… however the team decides.

The Complete Deep Sea Experience

Our 36-hour trips are the ultimate offshore experience! Our trip takes you out to bottom fish reefs and structures in 150 – 400 ft of water for a variety of deepwater species such as types of snapper, grouper, amberjack and more. At night we fish floating oil platforms over 120 miles offshore for yellow and black fin tuna. Our second day we bottom fish again before it is time to head home. Your catch on these trips may include types of snapper, grouper, amberjack, tuna, sharks, ling, kingfish, dorado, and many other deep water species.

The Capt. John is a 75-foot catamaran that can accommodate the 40 fishermen on a 36-hour trip comfortably. There are 40 sleeping bunks inside the spacious cabin. There is a full galley inside the air-conditioned cabin where you eat and take a break from fishing.

The boat will leave at 6:30 a.m. the first day of your trip and will return at 6:30 p.m. the next day. We do ask that you make it here around 5:30 a.m. so that you have time to get your gear loaded and the boat can leave on time. We will provide you with a fishing rod, reel, hooks, weights, and squid.

What you need to bring:

• Sleeping bag or bedroll and pillow
• Rubber deck boots
• Change of clothes – not required but nice to have
• Ice chest left in your vehicle to put your fish in when you get off the boat
• Ziplock bags – if you are going to have your fish cleaned by the fish cleaners
• You may bring your own fishing rod and gear although it is not required
• Recommended tackle includes butterfly jigs, diamond jigs (chrome), and tuna poppers. These will be needed for tuna fishing. You should have at least four and the size should be six or eight oz
• You will need enough cash for the snack bar and gratuities
• Texas fishing license (required by law)

What not to bring:

• No GPS allowed
• Ice chests for fish are not allowed or needed on the boat. The Capt John is equipped with ice chests all around the boat to keep your fish on ice

Overnighters, offshore deep sea fishing on an overnighter for sportfishermen, call for more information, welcome to intimidator deep sea sportfishing inc. we are a full service charter fishing business that offers trips from 6 hour family excursions to 3 day offshore extravaganzas..

These are very productive offshore deep sea fishing trips and have quickly become one of our most popular sportfishermen trips that can be customized to fishing styles or an individual’s needs. We are very diverse and can offer you a whole range of opportunities or angling possibilities. We specialize in overnight trips, but offer trips to 3 days for the ones who just cannot get enough offshore deep sea fishing.

A typical overnighter usually leaves the dock about 6 am. Most of the overnight trips that we run are combo bottom / offshore deep sea fishing trips . We will start the day in some cases doing some live bait fishing. We will always make every attempt to catch all the live bait that we need before departing in the morning, it is always best to try and catch some fresh live bait just off the beach in about 20 feet of water. Most of the live bait that you will find in the “Intimidator’s 350 gallon live well” will be Pinfish, Croakers, Pig Fish and Menhaden. The bait that is usually caught in the gulf the morning of the trip will be Pilchards (aka Greenies or Elvis’), Herring, Thread fin’s, Cigar Minnows, and Atlantic Bumper fish (aka Crazy fish). The live bait can be the most important key to most any trip so the time spent here will be well served.

After we finish live bait fishing, we will usually put out some hi-speed trolling lures for Wahoo , King Mackerel and other fish that can be caught trolling while on the way to the fishing grounds. At this point, we will usually be working on whatever type breakfast that you may like to bring along. From there it is a flurry of activity rigging tackle, cutting bait, and giving everything a thorough inspection before the action commences.

After a good ride offshore, we will start on our bottom deep sea fishing for Red Snapper , Grouper , Scamps , Vermilion Snapper and Triggerfish depending on the time of year that you go fishing. This type of offshore saltwater fishing will be done on one of the thousands of private reefs or on some natural bottom that has taken years to acquire. Usually everyone is fishing at once, and this creates a lot of fun and excitement in competing with the other sportfishermen aboard and just having a good time.

While all this is going on, it is commonplace to have your lunch smoking away on the grill . At the conclusion of the bottom fishing we will usually work our way further offshore to give everyone time to eat lunch and catch their breath to fish around some of the many oil rigs or deeper rock and chase the Amberjacks or maybe deep drop for Grouper or Tilefish. From here we can continue even further offshore to give the Tuna , Wahoo or Dolphins a shot late on the first day.

On the way offshore, we will start cooking supper and with our focus shifting to the offshore deep sea fishing for Yellow-fin Tuna , Black-Fin Tuna , Dolphin , Wahoo and the occasional Marlin .

Once the offshore fishing has begun, we will employ a number of successful tactics and have three very distinct but different times for catching fish. First, is the evening bite which may be done a number of ways but Trolling or Kite fishing with live bait have proven to be the best effort for Sportfishermen in this time frame.

After the sun goes down and everyone is enjoying their dinners, we may try to deep sea jig some Black fin Tunas or possibly try to chum up a yellow fin right under the boat if the conditions will allow. As serious sportfishermen, it is not uncommon for us to fish well into the night. With the new water maker onboard there will be enough water for a hot shower. Early the second morning before the sun comes up, we usually try some more deep jigging and chunking for the Yellow-fin’s until right at the crack of daylight and then we may either go back to the Kite or trolling methods. As the sun comes up, it is a very exciting time to be on the deck with the anticipation of the “Big Bite” at any moment.

If the bite is productive we will certainly stick with it until the bite slows or it is time to head back in. This will always be our longest ride of the trip but after a very exciting offshore deep sea fishing trip and all the fun, this is when the card games and Satellite TV will come in useful. However, most people will sleep all the way to the dock. Most trips return to the dock after lunch anywhere from 12-4 pm depending on the length of the ride. John's pass fishing charter, if you’re looking for an action packed trip to fill your freezer this is the fishing charter for you.

This 6 or 7 hour trip gives us more time to run farther offshore into some great fishing grounds. Similar to the half day trips, but the two extra hours allow us to run to deeper water wrecks, ledges, and natural live bottom that holds the larger fish. You can except to catch Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Hogfish, Grey Snapper and more on these trips.

We mainly target Gag and Red Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Hogfish, and Grey Snapper which are great for the dinner plate. During the season we also target the migrating King Mackerel that push though these water in spring and fall.

OFFSHORE MULTIDAY

Day and a half, two, and three day six-pack, long range fishing trips - san diego.

Multiday offshore sportfishing is the top trip we offer. These trips give you the time and range to explore MULTIPLE destinations. You can also go to the furthest spots out like the Tanner Bank and Cortez Bank, up to 100 miles offshore. You will enjoy unpressured fish schools that are eager to bite, and fish spots that are uncrowded and have prolific pelagic fishing. All travel is done in the dark while you sleep, both out and back in. When you wake up in the morning you will be sitting on top of the BLUEFIN , YELLOWFIN , and DORADO .

The Multi-Day charter departs on any given night at around 9pm. After getting bait at the bait barge, your party will head to see. You will enjoy several hours with the boys drinking beer on the back deck under the moon, until its time to get some shut eye.

We wake you up about 4am, and feed you a hearty breakfast, then its time to go to work. Before you are even awake, we have been searching for sonar marks on the side scan sonar. Hopefully by now we have located a good sized school. Even though its dark, we can still find them. Drop down a heavy glow-in-the-dark flat fall jig and hope for a tuna!

Once the sun comes up we go on the move, and begin trolling, looking for patties, birds, foaming fish, anything that shows signs of life. Even dolphin pods can indicate the location of fish.

The advantage of the Multi-Day charter is that you get the sunset bite window and you dont have to go home at 2pm. This also allows us to go far south, letting you take advantage of early and late season fish. During the season, you also have the time to chase tuna at the Cortez Bank and the Tanner Banks, behind the San Clemente Islands.

Depending on the species that we spot, we can throw iron at them, or fly a kite at bluefin, or fish live bait. What ever seems to be working on that day.

As always, your fish will be cleaned and put on ice until the end of the trip. Be sure to bring a large ice chest to store your catch!

Coffee, Water, Soda, and Snacks all being included. This trip includes morning donuts and coffee and lunch and dinner! All hand made and fresh, Carne Asada, Chicken, or Fish, or by request. 04/28/2024 The Dolphin PM trip had 60 vermillion red rockfish, 37 mixed rockfish, 9 sculpin, and 1 sheepheed for 28 anglers. The Dolphin AM trip had 80 vermillion red rockfish, 25 mixed rockfish, 5 sculpin, 3 sheepheeed, and 1 sand basss for 40 anglers. The Liberty finished their Full Day Coronado Islands trip with 26 Yellowtail and 3 lingcod for 29 anglers. They also reported beautiful weather! The Liberty is  a Definite Go for Monday Morning. He is online all week long. They are recommending 40 to 50lbs yo-yo outfits, a 30 to 40lbs flyline outfit and if you have surface iron rods make sure you bring those also.

The Shogun just called in with 61 Bluefin Tuna (40-55 pounds) for day 1 of their 4 day trip.

The Bluefin are Back. The Shogun call in with 61 Bluefin and the othe boats had some good fishing last nigh. Most of the fish are 40 to 55 pounds. All equipment on the boat will be geared toward 200lb+ max fish size, and you very well may find it on this trip. The boat will also be equipped with species specific bait, the frozen flying fish. The cotton candy that tuna can not resist. When hoisted high on the kite, the bluefin only see their favorite food jumping in the water. No boat, no line, and no reason not to eat it, that is why its so effective. That is what make these multi day tuna trip so special. You definitely dont find this type of fishing on an overstuffed party boat.

Yo-Yo Ironing (aka The Flat Fall) : 

Utilizing metal jigs called "iron" allows anglers to cover water quickly while maintaining contact with bottom structure. This method often results in exciting strikes from aggressive fish.

Top water iron that is thrown off the bow of the boat, while still far off, to nab the first fish and start the frenzy.
