• Optional WWB Medical Aid Camp to help orphans, widows and the general needy will run daily in Najaf. Volunteers from the group are welcome to help for thawab, with or without prior experience.
• Outside ziyaraat in Najaf and Karbala is included, subject to conditions on the ground.
• Events listed in our itinerary are provided on a best endeavours basis.

UK zuwaar will join our group flight from the UK (limited seats, subject to availability).

International zuwaar are welcome. If you are travelling from outside of the UK, we can help you with your flight needs.

FLIGHT TIMINGS:

Flights timings are indicative as the airline may adjust timings before travel.

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE:

Baggage allowance is 1 piece 20kg plus 1 hand luggage 8kg per person. Infant luggage allowance is 1 piece 10kg.

IN-FLIGHT MEALS:

Complimentary snacks and drinks, no meals.

Full board accommodation (three meals a day), wifi and aircon provided at 4* hotels in Kadhimayn, Najaf and Karbala. All hotels will be within walking distance of the haram.

Accommodation booked at specific hotels may be subject to change depending on the situation on arrival with alternative accommodation being offered.

With regards to room sharing, we always put families together, couples together, then singles share with other singles with gender separation. You can choose to have your own room for an increased cost if you need to, just let us know and we will aim to accommodate your request.

The content of our itinerary is offered on a best endeavours basis and may be subject to change during the trip depending on the situation at the time.

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to you when: 1. You have submitted your booking form by ticking the check box 'I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to Ziyarah Tours' Cancellation Policy Terms and Conditions, and 2. Once you have made payment.

Group flight tickets

If you have paid for a group air ticket with us, then provided you inform us by no later than 1 calendar month before your travel date that you wish to cancel, we will retain only a £150 deposit and admin fee per ticket for having reserved and held your air seat and we will refund to you any airfare amount that you have paid in excess of this value. However, if you cancel with less than 1 calendar month to go before your travel date then you will have forfeited your entire flight cost which will become non-refundable due to our commitment with the airline.

Individual air tickets

If you have paid for an individual air ticket through us and you need to cancel at any time, we will do our best to secure the maximum refund for you from the airline regardless of when you cancel depending on your ticket type and the refund policy of the airline, less an admin fee of £50. Airlines can take many months to process their refunds but soon after we receive it from the airline, we will forward it onto to you.

Ground Package

In the event of you cancelling your trip, we will retain a deposit and admin fee of £295 per person due to the commitment you made with us and due to our commitment with our service provider. Any amount that you have paid in excess of this value will be refunded to you.

Refund Duration

For group flights and ground packages, the refund duration is within 1 calendar month of receiving your request.

Umrah is a pilgrimage to Makkah that can be undertaken at any time of the year (except the Hajj period). The Umrah or Lesser Pilgrimage is visiting of the Holy places of Mak`kah and Madina with a view to accomplish an individual pilgrimage. Umrah is not an obligation (Fardh) but a tradition which is almost compulsory for those who have the means. It is not confined to any set of time. It can be carried out at any time of the year, excluding the five days of Hajj

The main purpose was to perform pilgrimage to the holy shrines of Imam Reza in Mashhad and Fatima al-Masooma in Qom. We also added some tourist destinations to our trip including Tehran, Neishapour, Isfahan, and Shiraz. Overall we had a great experience with the tour operator. Mr. Pouyan had been of immense help throughout and made our trip very comfortable. Ms. Mojgan customized our trip based on our preferences and made sure that our hotels, inter city transport, and other booking were seamless. We started off with Mashhad (Imam Reza Holy shrine) which is a master piece of architecture, beautiful courtyards, religious history, and a place to ponder and reflect. Then we took a train ride to Tehran, visited monuments and museums followed by lady Masooma holy shrine in Qom. Last two destinations were very interesting and a blend of local folks art, poetry, beautiful monuments, Islamic architecture, a deep dive into 5000 BC history, and amazing gardens. The guide, Ms. Tahiri and her husband were very welcoming and made our stay extremely joyful. Hotels in Isfahan and Shiraz were the best though others were also nice, clean, and cozy. The guides were very thoughtful and knowledgeable about the local attractions and kept our taste in mind while visiting various attractions. I’d definitely recommend Pouyan and his team and give them a 5 star rating due to their professional conduct and trying their best in taking care of the guests. Overall, Iran is a stroller friendly destination and has amazing history/art. One recommendation for future tourists is that if you know the places you want to visit, tell them to the tour operator in advance and they’ll make it customized for you. Also, if you’re traveling from US, get your phones unlocked since the local SIM cards don’t work/accepted by US phones. Connectivity is a big issue and often my wife and I had to decide the exact time/place to meet specially at Imam Reza holy shrine as it’s a huge complex and one can easily get lost. Astara was the first city I arrived and there I left my trolley bags in the open market , while a shopkeeper selling clothes by the roadside , helped me get to a sim card shop, and showed a restaurant where I ate my dinner. All the time my trolley was in his street shop, until he got me a taxi to go to a hotel. He refused any money when I offered him. I couldn't feel more relieved, grateful and safe. Later, I was in Tabriz, Ardabil, Tehran, Esfahan and finally Shiraz. Though there was language problem, everyone tried their best to help me in every way. "Welcome to Iran", was what most said ,on coming to know that I am a foreign tourist.The developed infrastructure of the country surprised me, wide highway, most with street lights. The buses had tv devices on them, the trains were clean, affordable and comfortable and getting a ticket was not a hassle. Tehran metro as well as the metro in the other cities Tabriz and Esfahan are extremely cheap. Tehran metro has a huge network and connects all major tourist places. I also used cab booking app, Snapp, and was shocked by its drivers arriving in the pick up point usually in 2-3 minutes. The people were friendly, kind and helpful when I asked them for directions. I saw such hospitality which I didn't find elsewhere in all the other countries i visited. Thank you to Pouyan and his team for making Iran so accessible to us for our 2 weeks family holiday in Iran. His team arranged every single aspect of our trip from initially advising and giving options on what was available, for our budget, to booking suitable hotels, airport transfers, local tours with guides, internal flights, internal overnight train tickets, setting up local mobile sim with data, money transfers, local debit card service, vpn setup/support so normal UK services worked on our UK phones. They helped with every single issue/question we had and gave us a excellent result. A true 5* service in all areas! We were a group of 10, 4 adults, 4 kids and 2 elderly parents. All of our needs were meant whether this be disabled access for my parents, short day trips with plenty of breaks to help with the kids and excellent shopping malls suggestions for the adults. From initial contact to completing our trip we had constant contact by his team. We visited Qum, Masshad and Tehran but the whole time we felt like we were on holiday. Mojgan was in daily contact arranging the forthcoming schedule and always at the end of the phone if we had any question or needed an English translator with the locals. She was well organised, had all our tours managed to be on time, organised the hotel check in/out dates/times, linked in with transfer pickup and drop off etc. She really gave us "peace of mind" to sit back and enjoy our trip and not have to worry on what needed to be done next. This time we visited the Northern areas of Ramsar, Fouman and Bandar Anzali and revisited at a slower pace the cities of Shiraz, Isfahan, Tehran and Kerman- the Lut desert here is amazing! Also highly recommend an overnight train in Iran- a very enjoyable experience Again our guide Ashkan Alambeigi was excellent- very knowledgeable, organised and as always great company! The Travel Representative: Pouyan, was an exceptionally helpful and patient professional. From our first contact with him on WhatsApp, till our departure, he remained responsive and at no stage did we feel ANY pressure or stress. We were given a flat lump sum cost based on our custom itinerary (6 night stay in Mashhad & 5 nights in Qom, Train trip between cities, SIM card, Debit card and ground transport to and from hotel/airport/train station). The cost was most reasonable, and the hotels selected by Pouyan were all 4 star, better than the ones recommended by our friends, close to the Haram. There was no demand for advance payment, nor any difficulty in changing our plans till the last day. Upon his recommendation, we chose hotels inclusive of breakfast only ; this way, we got to experience restaurants at a much lower cost with far more variety. Without any reservations, I recommend this travel agency and Brother Pouyan to anyone from US or Canada who wishes to undertake a trip to Iran. Before finding him, I tried twice to go to iran for Ziarat but unfortunately my experience with other Ziarat organisers has been quite disappointing & I thought I’d never be able to go to Iran for Ziarat as due to work commitments of myself & my daughter we could only opt for customised tour. Pouyan made it all extremely easy peasy for us, all we needed to do was just tell him the dates & book our flights. He arranged our visas, hotels, pick & drop service combining train journey from Mashhad to Qom. He also arranged 6 hours Tehran sightseeing on our last day of the tour before our flight back to Edinburgh from Tehran via istanbul. Pouyan and I were in contact almost a year in advance, and we received a great value for our tour package. Ashkan is a GREAT tour guide who loves what he does and does it effortlessly. He took care of us like his own family. He even tried to coach the teams at Espinas Palace hotel to ensure we had better experience. We all felt so safe and comfortable throughout our trip. We extended it to 15 days to really experience the culture of Iran. Our guides, Ashkan and Tahareh, had a wealth of knowledge regarding the history and culture of Iran. Loved the old mosques, gardens and bazaars. Bought some beautiful hand crafted ornaments in the bazaars. Poyan at VOI was so helpful and always available if we needed anything. On arrival at the airport, he arranged all the transfers and hotel stays. He also arranged our domestic train tickets and domestic flights with which we encountered. No trouble. He was in constant communication with us and whenever we had any issue we were able to contact him to Get a resolution. We had three children with us, aged nine, six and four years, old anti-insured, all of our processes of travel were seamless. Even went to the effort of arranging a bouquet of flowers to be delivered to a hotel room on my wife’s birthday and helped us to book a restaurant and arranged taxis to and from all of our locations.
