Here's an example of the seating map, for her stop in Seattle at Lumen Field:

beyonce seating map

In this, you can see Club Renaissance in the center in dark orange, and B-Hive A and B-Hive B are close to the stage, along with the VIP A and VIP B stands (which are kind of on stage).

Jae Gurley, who saw Beyoncé in Paris, had tickets in Club Renaissance. However, they think B-Hive could've possibly been better seats (the section between Club Renaissance and the main stage). "The only better view I saw people talking about would have been B-Hive," they tell Town & Country . "While she does perform in Club Renaissance, she spends a lot of the more time actually on the stage. So in B-Hive, you get in that little pocket right in between runway and stage. Club Renaissance is only here at the end of the runway. When she's up there on the stage, we can't really see anything."

Still, they add,"If you're just there for the vibes, she really entices the crowd and you can tell everyone [in Club Renaissance] is a really huge fan and just like you make friends and vibe."

What about the riser seats closer to the stage? Gurley says, "I don't think I would choose either of the riser seats because you see her at an angle. And not only that, you can't really see the screen. Beyoncé's very center heavy–she performs [straight facing] the crowd. If you're seated [on the sides], she's not really looking at you."

So, should you get Club Renaissance, the general admission circle in the middle of the floor? If you're debating it, then the answer is probably yes. "Walking into the stadium was really spectacular, I think it really caught me off guard on how beautiful it would look," Whitney Madueke, who saw the concert in London, tells Town & Country . "In Club Renaissance, we had so much space around us. Seeing Beyoncé so close was actually incredible, it felt like a dream."

Tickets for the London gigs are on sale and the seating plan has been revealed

  • Updated 10:04, 6 FEB 2023

Tickets for the London gigs are on sale and the seating plan has been revealed

Beyoncé's Renaissance world tour will arrive in London for three nights in May and June and fans are scrambling for tickets.

The first O2 pre-sale took place yesterday and queues of up to 200,000 were reported by fans who were desperate to secure their seat in the stadium. There are more chances to get tickets today, with the Live Nation pre-sale and venue pre-sales also taking place.

All fans have to do is sign up before the ticket queue opens, after registering fans will receive a 'unique access code' to enter the Ticketmaster sale. It's the second to last pre-sale option for fans before the general sale starts next week on Tuesday, February 7 2023.

READ MORE : LIVE: Beyoncé fans get second chance at buying London 'Renaissance' tickets as Live Nation pre-sale starts

A general sale will begin early next week for events in London, Cardiff, Sunderland and Edinburgh gigs as the Queen of Pop returns to the UK.

When will Beyonce play in London?

Beyonce's Renaissance world tour will visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium three times at the end of the UK leg. They include consecutive nights on 29 and 30 May, and a third date in 2 June.

When can I get tickets for Beyonce in London?

  • Live Nation Pre-Sale - February 3, 10am

Live Nation pre-sale is open to anybody but demand for these will be high after queues for the O2 pre-sale reached up to 200,000 people yesterday. To qualify, register for a Live Nation account as soon as possible and verify your email address.

  • Venue Pre-Sale - February 3, 10am

A venue pre-sale will be held across all stadiums venues on Friday morning. You can contact your local venue for more information.

  • BeyHive Presale - February 6, 9am

Members of Beyonce’s official fan club, the BeyHive will have a chance to get their hands on tickets a day before general sale takes place.

  • General sale - February 7, 10am

The general sale will be the final chance to secure tickets but options are likely to be limited. Ticketmaster’s general sale begins at 10am. It is highly likely that there will be a virtual queue system in place with demand expected to be huge.

Is there a seating chart for Beyonce in London?

There are plenty of options for seats in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They range from the best seats in the house in the form of Stage VIP and a small section at the front for B-Hive members.

You then have the Golden Circle at the front, followed by Club Renaissance tickets. General admission covers half of the pitch, while stand seating ranges from 100 Blocks down both sides to 200, 300, 400 and 500 blocks. The full plan is below:

Where else is Beyonce playing in the UK?

The UK leg of the tour will visit four cities and play six shows in total.

  • May, 17 - Principality Stadium, Cardiff
  • May, 20 - Murrayfield, Edinburgh
  • May, 23 - Stadium of Light, Sunderland
  • May, 29 - Tottenham Hotspur, London
  • May, 30 - Tottenham Hotspur, London
  • June, 02 - Tottenham Hotspur, London

How much will tickets for Beyoncé's tour be?

The cheapest tickets on the London leg of the tour will be just £55 but these are likely to sell out very quickly. At the other end of the scale the best VIP seats are priced at an eye-watering £475. They will also be available via Ticketmaster's Platinum resale , which could push prices up even further.

The first set of prices were confirmed during yesterdays pre-sale (February 2) which sees the cost rise from £50 for seated tickets all the way up to £170 for reserved VIP seating. Pitch standing tickets start at £95 and Golden Circle starts at £140 each.

Beyoncé Announces ‘Renaissance’ 2023 World Tour

Another Ticketmaster war is on the horizon as the BeyHive prepares for battle. After weeks of speculation, Beyoncé has officially confirmed a world tour in support of Renaissance , scheduled to make stops in stadiums across the world in 2023 .

The musician confirmed the news on Wednesday morning. The tour will begin in Europe this May before landing in North America on July 8 with back-to-back nights at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. The tour will make stops in Philadelphia, Nashville, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and more.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce)

The Renaissance tour marks Beyoncé’s first extended stretch on the road since the On the Run tour, which made 48 stops across North America and Europe in 2018. Those shows were proceeded by the singer’s redefining Coachella performance, which arrived as the Netflix concert film Homecoming the following year.

The clips sparked multiple viral moments, the most notable being Beyoncé’s new vocal arrangements on familiar records, including “Drunk in Love” and “Countdown.” The private concert, notably, did not include any Renaissance tracks on the setlist, even the chart-topping lead single “Break My Soul.”

The tour announcement arrives as a saving grace for a starved BeyHive, still yearning for any meaningful visual companion pieces to the singer’s acclaimed seventh studio album. If Beyoncé is heading on the road again, maybe the wait for the music videos she teased in the record release trailer won’t be too much longer.

“As is customary for her, she layers the album with enough totems to fuel a million think pieces and dissertations,” Rolling Stone shared of Renaissance . “Yet it’s also possible to simply dance and vibe to the music. This is Beyoncé at her joyous peak, and you won’t get it unless you pull the “plastic off the sofa,” “drop it like a thottie,” and enjoy Queen Bey at her thrilling best.”

Tickets for these dates of Beyoncé's tour are now on sale: What fans need to know

beyonce tour floor plan

Tickets to the first of three groupings of  Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour dates went on sale Monday and, not surprisingly, are doing brisk business for the Grammy legend.

In fact, her first show – May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden – sold out Tuesday, prompting the singer to add an additional Stockholm show on May 11.

Back in the U.S., staggering on-sale dates have prevented ticket sale meltdowns  (so far anyway) as experienced when Taylor Swift put her tour tickets up for grabs last year .

Queen Bey, who Sunday night became the  all-time Grammy champion , announced her tour last week and immediately saw fan demand exceed the number of tickets by 800%.

Group A tickets are now on sale. If you're in Groups B and C, there's still some time to get a seat to what promises to be one of the hottest tours in years.

Here's our detailed look on how to get tickets . For the latest timing details, visit Ticketmaster and find the event info for your desired date and city.

Here's what else fans should know:

How much are Beyoncé tickets?

USA TODAY found face-value ticket prices that ranged from $62 and up. Club Renaissance tickets were closer to $1,000, and some floor seats were $300 and bowl seats were around $500. Ticket prices will vary according to city and venue.

Many artists have begun to give concert promoters the OK to make a portion of each show's best seats subject to Dynamic Pricing , which is an attempt to match demand with the supply of premium seats.

The end result can sometimes be prices that far exceed original face value, as some fans of Bruce Springsteen found when dynamically priced seats for his tour cost upwards of $4,000. Only about 12% of Springsteen tickets were sold this way, his management reported.

When are Group B and C ticket sales?

Beyoncé put tickets for her U.S. tour dates on sale in three groups: A, B and C. Here are the dates and deadlines for the next round of ticket sales.

Beyoncé performs during the opening night of the Renaissance World Tour on 10 May at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden

Beyoncé: Renaissance World Tour review – a dizzying three-hour spectacular

Friends Arena, Stockholm Queen Bey’s first solo headline tour in seven years is a lavish leap forward for live entertainment, dripping with sci-fi disco decadence, sex and Black pride

E ven without Taylor Swift’s Ticketmaster-melting Eras Tour nipping at her heels, it wouldn’t do for a star as compulsively ambitious as Beyoncé to merely protect her status as the greatest pop show on Earth. Not when her first solo headline tour since 2016 could instead push 21st-century live entertainment another lavish leap forward.

Titled after the Texan’s disco glitter bomb post-pandemic party album of the same name , Renaissance is a monster blockbuster concert experience on a different plane. Fifty-seven stadium dates globally, starting in Stockholm, are projected to gross as much as £1.9bn ($2.4bn) by the time the tour ends in New Orleans late September. Dripping with sci-fi disco decadence, sex, body positivity and feminine Black pride, the near three-hour spectacular plays out in front, behind and, at times, inside a football-pitch-wide high-definition video screen designed to assault the senses at dizzying scale.

The BeyHive, as Beyoncé’s fans collectively style themselves, are buzzing pre-show as they flood into the venue from around the world for their first chance proper to see their queen live since 2018’s On the Run II co-headliner with Mr B, Jay-Z. Dressed head to toe in official tour merch, including a cap and hoodie both emblazoned with the word “THIQUE”, Mykwain Gainey has been to 20 Beyoncé shows over the past two decades and has spent nearly £2,000 to fly here from New York. “To see her transcend, and become what she has become, especially as a Black woman, is exciting,” he enthuses.

Beyoncé in Stockholm on Wednesday. With many of the show’s 36 songs abridged, the tempo was relentless.

Brazilian Yhes Bezerra wears a spangly cowboy hat like the one sported by Beyoncé in the tour poster, except theirs is homemade; sticking on the thousands of tiny mirror panels took nine hours. They were determined to come to the opening night to avoid social media spoilers about what to expect. “I want everything to be a surprise,” Bezerra smiles.

Beyoncé appears first in a video cut scene, laid out luxuriously across the giant screen semi-naked in dimensions big enough to be visible from space. And yet, once she emerges in the flesh – all sequins, shoulder pads and that megawatt smile, drinking in the crowd’s screams – she begins disarmingly with a slew of her rawest soul songs. By the second, Flaws and All, she already appears to be fighting back tears, whether of release or gratitude or both. It’s an opening that seems designed to strip away artifice, if only to provide some sharp contrast for the heavily technologically augmented spectacle about to follow.

Harking back to early house and techno and the ecstatic utopia of the dancefloor, a segment dedicated to the Renaissance album ensues with Beyoncé done up something akin to the Maschinenmensch in Metropolis. She grinds with a dozen backing dancers to the jittery reggaeton of her boss bitch mission statement I’m That Girl, then dances with some actual robots (a pair of mechanical arms) during Cosy. Were all that not semi-hallucinogenic enough, Alien Superstar interpolates narcissistic anthem I’m Too Sexy by 90s dance-pop twosome Right Said Fred.

Beyoncé performing on Wednesday

With many of the setlist’s whopping 36 songs abridged, the tempo is relentless. Blink and you’ll miss dancers popping out of the stage like champagne corks, or Beyoncé’s powerhouse band getting wheeled into occasional view on a tall stepped riser (shades of Beychella), such as during Chic-style feelgood funk workout Cuff It. “Y’all having a good time, Stockholm?” our host inquires, wiping an imperceptible bead of sweat from her brow. “Me too.”

Black Parade finds Beyoncé cruising the stage atop what looks like a kind of lunar rover. Somewhat comically, it exits up the gusset of a pair of massive splayed legs. Later she sings Plastic Off the Sofa stretched out in a clamshell. Come Crazy in Love, the show finally gets the enormous disco ball it seems to have long craved, dangled from the rafters for only a bit longer than the time it takes for the crew to get it up there and back down.

Bass-quaking, envelope-pushing Black power anthem Formation is a powerful political statement in any setting. Performed in a kind of virtual cathedral, horny southern rap and gospel cocktail Church Girl (sample lyric: “drop it like a thottie, drop it like a thottie”) might just be intended to provoke. But by Beyoncé’s own standards, it’s hard not to read Renaissance as a show much lighter on overt socio-political messaging than it is sheer, unfettered, mildly chaotic indulgence. And who could blame her?

In a final, unsubtle, retro-futuristic fanfare, Bey summons Bianca Jagger’s iconic Studio 54 moment by gliding through the air on a glitter-encrusted white horse while Summer Renaissance – which samples Donna Summer’s I Feel Love – blares. The disco history references may or may not be landing with the mostly young BeyHive, but that’s not really the point. By rewiring dance music past in a sensory overload of truly stunning ambition and stamina, Beyoncé is writing some history of her own.

The Renaissance World Tour continues until 27 September, see https://tour.beyonce.com/ for dates

Madonna Joined by Salma Hayek for 'Vogue' in Mexico City as Celebration Tour Wraps

See latest videos, charts and news

The announcement photo may look familiar to fans, as she donned the same glittery attire on the cover of her seventh studio album. Bey also added “Renaissance World Tour” on her Instagram bio, further accenting the news. Last week, Beyonce performed a full concert for the first time in four years at a luxury resort in Dubai in front of influencers and journalists. The 19-song set included a collaboration with her oldest daughter Blue Ivy as the two performed “Brown Skin Girl,” which earned them a Grammy two years ago for best music video.

Crowned a triumphant win by music lovers, Renaissance stormed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last year and rattled off two Hot 100 top 10 hits, including her chart-topper “Break My Soul.” The dance-centric album also notched nine Grammy nominations, the most for any nominee for this year’s ceremony. Bey is looking to rack up more trophy wins, as she currently sits at a staggering 28 wins. Nominated for album of the year, song, and record of the year, Bey is facing some stout competition , especially in the former. The R&B juggernaut will tango against Adele, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, and more for album of the year. A win in this category would serve as Beyonce’s first. The 65th Grammy Awards will occur Sunday night in Los Angeles at 8 pm EST.

When does the tour run until.

In addition to Stockholm, Paris, London and Barcelona, the European leg of her tour made stops in Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Denmark. Beyoncé's final European show was in Warsaw, Poland, on June 28.

The North American leg of the world kicked off in Toronto at Rogers Centre on July 8. Following her show at FedExField -- which is located just outside Washington, D.C. -- the singer will head to Charlotte, North Carolina; Atlanta; and Tampa, Florida.

Beyoncé's final scheduled performance of the tour will be held Oct. 1 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

When was the last time Beyoncé toured?

Beyoncé's last solo tour was the Formation World Tour in 2016, which followed the release of her sixth studio album, "Lemonade."

In 2018, she toured with her husband Jay-Z, for the On The Run Tour.

What is the Renaissance World Tour setlist?

During her tour, Beyoncé has performed songs off her latest album, including "Cuff It," "Heated" and "Virgo's Groove."

At her first tour stop in Stockholm on May 10, she sang a number of fan favorites, including "1+1," "Run the World (Girls)," "Get Me Bodied," and "America Has a Problem," among others.

Beyoncé's "Renaissance" album was released on July 29, 2022, after it was leaked two days prior. The album is the first part of a three-act project and features a total of 16 tracks with collaborations from artists such as Drake, Tems and Pharrell Williams.

In an Instagram post, the singer said that "Renaissance" was recorded over three years during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world," she said. "It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. ... It was a beautiful journey of exploration."

How to get Beyonce 2023 tour tickets

While tickets to see the singer on tour sold out quickly in many cities around the world when sales began in February, fans can still purchase tickets on Ticketmaster.

9 unpopular opinions about Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour

  • Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour is hands-down the best tour I've ever seen.
  • But there are certain aspects of the show that could've been better.
  • There are also criticisms that detractors have thrown at Bey that I completely disagree with.

Insider Today

I have never missed Beyoncé on a solo tour .

As a founding member of the Beyhive, having been to every tour and residency she's ever headlined, I walked away from her latest, the Renaissance World Tour, feeling born again after being baptized by the ballroom. It was utterly fantastic.

During this 56-date tour, which is based on Beyoncé's seventh solo album, 2022's "Renaissance," the mother of the house raised the standard, yet again, giving us an immersive homage to queer culture created by Black and brown "kids."

Still, after seeing Bey for myself last month when she stopped by MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, I have a few distinct opinions that differ from the Beyhive.

Here are nine unpopular opinions of Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour from loving that she saved "the visuals" for the tour (and the documentary she's supposedly secretly filming) to disliking her opening song choices.

Beyoncé opening for herself was a pristine decision.

beyonce tour floor plan

For the uninitiated, Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour is split up into six acts that each tell its own story.

The Opening Act features six songs: "Dangerously in Love 2," "Flaws and All," "1+1," a cover of Rose Royce's 1976 classic, "I'm Going Down," culminating in "I Care."

Beyoncé not only chose to open the show with one of the best songs in her catalog but also a song that reminds her — and us — who she is and where she comes from.

"Dangerously in Love 2," recorded in her hometown of Houston, is the titular ballad from her 2003 debut album originally recorded by her group, Destiny's Child, for 2001's "Survivor" album.

So it's apt that she starts here.

But I wish Beyonce had chosen different songs to kick off the tour.

beyonce tour floor plan

Still, just as bestselling novels or blockbuster movies have an expected flow, or underlying pattern, to let the reader and viewer know where they are in a story, so do concerts.

Concerts have a uniformity that concertgoers have come to expect: The performer starts off on a high with an up-tempo song to get everyone on their feet, they use the middle of the show to slow down the pace and perform ballads, while the end is reserved for their biggest hit ever.

It's why I disliked Beyoncé's choice of starting with ballads. Instead, she should've pushed those slower songs to the middle of the show, perhaps in the Anointed Act, which also featured mid-tempo songs such as "Rather Die Young" and snippets of "Say My Name" and "Dance for You."

Sometimes if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Fans kept asking, "Where are the visuals?"

beyonce tour floor plan

One of the long-suffering criticisms from the Beyhive since the release of "Renaissance," the 16-track album that feels like an ode to summer in 1975, is that it didn't come with visuals .

Bey, who honestly deserves an Oscar for how much she puts into her musical films, has blessed us four times with complementary movies for her projects, starting with 2013's "Life Is But a Dream," which documents Beyoncé's four-night run in the now-defunct Atlantic City's Revel, to 2020's "Black Is King," which visually aided the soundtrack she created for "The Lion King" remake.

So when "Renaissance" came out, there was a buzzing chorus from the Beyhive, expecting to see a visual representation of what this album gave us, a sonic blend of Baltimore Club and Chicago House music.

But they never came. At least, not yet.

But did we really need "the visuals" when we got them at the concert?

beyonce tour floor plan

There are rumors that Bey is using this tour to create the visuals. When a fan held up a sign at one of her shows asking for "the visuals," Mother replied, "You are the visual, baby!"

And I don't think she was joking. Even a crew member seemingly let slip that Beyoncè plans to use her Houston tour stops on September 23 and 24 to shoot "a movie there," according to a TikTok video uploaded to a fan account . "There'll be a lot more cameras."

Still, part of the joy of going to the Renaissance World Tour was seeing immaculate visuals — from Beyoncé riding high atop a silver horse to watching Honey Balenciaga duck walk to glory.

Not to mention the incredible futuristic set design, created by Es Delvin, that provided the perfect ornate backdrop to the ballroom and a savory sartorial collection perfectly tailored for each show.

In her setlist, Bey should've switched out cover songs for features.

beyonce tour floor plan

During the nearly three-hour show, Beyoncé performs 36 songs on average. At some shows, the setlist also included two covers: Rose Royce's " I'm Going Down" and Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High."

And while I understand Bey had to pay tribute to one of her biggest musical and visual inspirations with Turner, who died back in May , I still don't understand including Royce's overplayed song.

Instead, I would've preferred to hear songs where she's lent her voice. The-Dream's 2013 album cut, "Turnt,"  or DJ Khaled's 2017 hit, "Shining," which would blend sonically with the rest of the set, feel like perfect additions.

Beyoncé removing "Thique" from her setlist was actually a good call.

beyonce tour floor plan

On May 10, Beyoncé introduced a section into her world tour that featured a triplet of songs. It included "Thique", "All Up in Your Mind", and "Drunk in Love," the latter of which she's performed at every tour stop.

It came with seductive choreography that included a pole along with a tiny callout to Britney Spears with a sample of "Toxic."

Still, that portion of the show wasn't seen again until August 14 when she brought the tour to Atlanta.

Although fans have protested at nearly every tour stop in between those dates, asking for "Thique," I'm quite glad that Beyoncé has left it out.

It has less to do with the song and more to do with the length of the concert, which I feel is already a bit bloated. So let's talk about that next.

The show was a three-hour experience that could've been cut down.

beyonce tour floor plan

While I would love to spend an entire day on Beyoncè's earth watching her perform in my fandom mind, I realize that's just not ideal. Not only for her but also for my attention span.

During the latter half of the concert, I saw a fan in front of me sitting down and reading the news. Another was caught on Discord.

To put it bluntly: It felt like there were too many dance breaks even though I loved seeing Bey's first twins, Les Twins, and the other dancers perform during them. I would've even sacrificed one less stage setup or costume change for one less break.

I've never had to leave a concert before to use the restroom and this time, I was forced to. Perhaps next time, we can cap it closer to two hours.

Some fans initially criticized Bey for not dancing full out. They were full of it.

beyonce tour floor plan

When the first grainy cell phone footage emerged after Bey kicked off the tour in Stockholm, Sweden, some critics were too quick to call out the Queen for a "lack of energy."

The criticism got so loud that it caused some members of the Beyhive to point out that Beyoncé was performing despite a knee injury  or  foot surgery — a rumor that was set straight.

Either way, that critique was baseless . It's hard enough dancing for three hours straight, let alone doing it while dancing, wearing heels, and giving us lewks.

Concert prices were too high.

beyonce tour floor plan

I know. I know. This issue isn't because of Beyoncé at all, but I'd be remiss if I didn't discuss the sticker shock of being able to experience the best performer alive.

The average price for a ticket on the Renaissance World Tour is around $350. (The cheapest tickets on Ticketmaster I saw were around $75 before taxes and fees with the most expensive being more than $5,000.)

When I first attended a Beyoncé show, which was her last run with Destiny's Child on the Destiny Fulfilled... and Lovin' It Tour, my floor seats were approximately $150. This year, I paid more than $2,000 for a pair of floor seats.

How Sway?! Inflation can't explain it.

I understand that running a tour is expensive. In fact, according to Beyoncé's website , she's employing hundreds of people and companies to produce this tour. There are also venue fees, security fees, and a host of other hidden costs that likely get passed onto the ticket buyer.

Not to mention ticket vendors, such as Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, and others are charging fees so fans can see their favorites.

I don't care about the reason though, I just know that it's not sustainable for the average fan if prices continue to rise at this pace.

Despite paying more than $2,300 for two floor seats, my view was disappointing.

beyonce tour floor plan

After wrestling through several different presale codes, where I was waitlisted, I ended up scoring floor seats — Section 3, Row 16 — with a random code I found on Twitter. Look at God!

And although I thought really carefully about investing that much into an experience, I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed. And overall I wasn't.

My floor seats came with a few different perks that you can read about here . My husband and I even bumped into Blue Ivy and Jay Z while leaving MetLife Stadium.

Still, the celebrity run-in didn't make up for the fact that we had low visibility for the majority of the show mostly because of how the circular-shaped runway was designed by entertainment architects Stufish and stage designer Es Devlin.

On either side of the circular stage, there's a raised portion of the platform, five steps higher than the rest of the runway. And while it allowed for Bey and her dancers to expertly navigate around it, it also blocked our view when she was singing in the middle of the stage, which happened a lot.

If Bey blesses us and goes on tour again, I'll either pay even more (don't worry, I always start a concert-ticket savings plan once she releases a new album) for tickets in the standing-only section closest to the stage or I'll choose something with a higher vantage point like the 100 sections.

"Summer Renaissance" felt like an anti-climatic ending, musically speaking.

beyonce tour floor plan

While there's absolutely no doubt that the conclusion of Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour is visually the apex of the entire evening, the actual song choice felt a bit off.

After three hours of singing, voguing, duck walking, and experiencing a gumbo mix of ballroom culture, you are met with silver-laced confetti and a shimmering Bey on a shimmering horse. Tens across the board, yes.

However, since "Summer Renaissance" is only 120 beats per minute, making it squarely a mid-tempo song, I would've really liked to leave the stadium on a higher note with a much punchier song.

If you noticed, though, Bey's setlist mimics the actual album and so she performs the songs in the same order.

Still, perhaps she could've broken from her album's tracklist just a little and ended with her latest biggest hit, "Break My Soul."

Despite those few tweaks, Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour is still one of my favorite shows I've ever seen in my life.

Thank you, Beyoncé, for taking such time and care with your artistry that extends from your vocals to the designers you choose to work with on tour. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

A writer tries Beyonce’s workout for a week, which helped the singer prepare for the Renaissance tou...

I Tried Beyoncé's Renaissance Tour Workout & Felt Like *That* Girl

So this is how she dances in 6-inch heels.

It’s Renaissance SZN, and between the dreamy setlist , sparkly tour outfits , and TikToks of Beyoncé’s best moments on the road, Queen Bey has proven that she is forever that girl . It’s no secret that Beyoncé’s energy and stamina during her live performances is unmatched. When I saw her on the Formation Tour in 2016, a torrential downpour forced everyone to evacuate the venue. Despite the pouring rain, Bey returned to the stage an hour later and performed her entire set without missing a beat. Since then, I’ve wondered, “How does she hit those legendary runs and nail the choreography in 6-inch heels?” The only possible answer: Beyoncé’s workout routine must be next-level.

TikToks documenting the magic of Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour clearly show that Queen Bey isn’t slowing down when it comes to the stunts and dance moves — and it made me wonder if a regular person like myself could also get the same physical strength and endurance by following the singer’s fitness routine. Although it was legit impossible to get ahold of Bey’s personal training team for her exact Renaissance Tour workout, I did a little digging to see what her routine has looked like in recent years. Here’s what happened when I tried Beyoncé’s fitness routine for a week — and why I have more respect for her hustle now than ever before.

Monday: Cardio

  • Running: 4 miles
  • Lunges: four sets of 15 reps
  • Squats: four sets of 15 reps
  • Single-Leg Step-Ups: four sets of 15 reps

Beyoncé uses cardio workouts to build stamina and get concert-ready, according to a Glamour interview with her longtime trainer, Marco Borges. After dragging myself out of bed and getting to Central Park at 6 a.m., I warmed up with some of Bey’s go-to leg exercises : lunges, squats, and single-leg step-ups, which she does for balance and stability. Borges recommended stepping onto a sturdy chair (I used a park bench), bringing one knee into your chest, and returning to start. I felt super wobbly at times, which probably explains why Bey is so good at balancing in heels.

Since I’d previously signed up for a 4-mile race, I used that as my cardio for the day. To be clear, I’m no professional; the only person I was racing was myself (and the summer heat). Beyoncé alternates between a one-minute sprint and two minutes of brisk walking for a total of 30 minutes. I needed to sustain my energy for 4 miles, however, so I used a run-walk approach instead. (I did, however, sprint toward the end of the race when I realized the finish line was *finally* in sight.)

The humidity made this cardio session quite challenging, and I was dripping in sweat by the end of the race. No wonder Beyoncé has such high endurance and lung capacity.

Tuesday: Core & Strength

A yoga instructor tries Beyonce’s strength training workout, which includes a kettlebell.

  • Kettlebell Squat-And-Press: four sets of 15 reps
  • Dumbbell Punches: four sets of 10 reps
  • Standing Side Crunches: two sets of 10 reps
  • Sit-Ups With Medicine Ball: two sets of 10 reps
  • Forearm Plank: four sets, hold for one minute each

I put together a routine with some of Beyoncé’s strength exercises that require minimum equipment, using an Instagram video where the singer is seen doing moves like alternating dumbbell punches, standing side crunches, and full-body sit-ups with a medicine ball. She also squeezes in squats, lunges, and planks. I completed the core and strength workout at home using an 8-pound kettlebell, 3-pound weights, and a 10-pound Bala ring in place of a medicine ball.

One of Borges’ favorite full-body moves for Bey is the kettlebell squat-and-press, which was new for me. Holding the weight at your chest with your elbows tucked in, you squat down until your elbows touch your knees and stand up, driving the hips forward and lifting the weight overhead. I attempted four sets of 15 reps each, per Borges’ recommendation — and by the end of the workout, I could feel the burn in my arms, glutes, and core.

Wednesday: Boxing

A writer tries Beyonce’s boxing workout, which she did at home.

  • 30-Minute Shadowboxing
  • Bicycle Crunches: three sets of 10 reps
  • Forearm Plank Hip Dips: two sets of 10 reps
  • Russian Twists: three sets of 10 reps

Boxing is one of my favorite forms of cardio (other than dancing around my apartment to B’Day ), and something about the mix of high intensity and choreography gets me hyped. I don’t have a punching bag in my apartment, so I broke out my old hand wraps from my former boxing studio, queued up Beyoncé’s best anthems , and completed a 30-minute shadowboxing workout to the beat of her songs.

It had been a while since I’d attended a boxing class IRL, but this at-home workout felt like the real deal. I was dripping sweat within the first few minutes and at one point, I took a break to dance around my apartment to “ Break My Soul .” According to Borges, Beyoncé’s boxing workouts help her build endurance for long performances and tours — and after this workout, I can see why.

After the high-intensity boxing sesh, I cooled down with some gentle stretches and finished with light core work — crunches, forearm plank with hip dips, and some Russian twists, which is a seated twist where you rotate side to side with your legs lifted off the floor (hello, obliques!). By the end, I felt emotionally lighter and also ready for a nap. I highly recommend this Beyoncé-style workout if you want to sweat and feel like a total badass.

Thursday: Core & Strength Round 2

A yoga instructor tries Beyonce’s ab workout, which includes core moves like planks.

  • Plank: four sets, hold for one minute each

Normally, I’m the type of person who likes to vary my workout routine, but I was excited to replicate Beyoncé’s core and strength workout for a second time to see whether I was getting stronger. I went to the gym, and used a 10-pound dumbbell, two 5-pound dumbbells, and a 4-pound medicine ball, and went through the sequence in order. I’m always craving a deeper core workout , so this time, I added a few Russian twists to the sit-ups portion.

This time, I noticed that my squat-and-presses were much stronger and more fluid than they were before. Watching my form in the studio mirror also helped a lot, and I found myself moving more intentionally to get the moves right. To finish the workout, I challenged myself to hold a plank for as long as I could. My muscles were on fire — especially my arms and shoulders — but I started to feel like Beyoncé’s routine was making me stronger.

Friday: SoulCycle & Arms

  • 45-Minute SoulCycle (Spin, Arms)
  • Walking: 1 mile
  • Forearm Plank: hold for one minute

Bey is the queen of many talents, and apparently, one of those talents is the ability to do multiple workouts within 24 hours. In Homecoming , she said, “Eventually, I want to be able to do SoulCycle, the stairs, and rehearsal in a day.” So, I set out to replicate a similar routine — but due to my utter exhaustion, the “three-a-day” situation didn’t work out exactly as I hoped.

First, I attended a 45-minute SoulCycle class , which involved a combination of high-energy interval cardio on a stationary bike and a brief arm series using 3-pound weights. I hadn’t been to Soul in a month (someone help me manifest a Beyoncé-level budget, please!), but it was a blast. I was totally drenched in sweat and my arms were shaking toward the end of the arms series, but being in the jam-packed, dimly lit, music-filled room felt equally meditative and motivating.

Post-SoulCycle, I took way too many stairs to and from the subway, walked a few extra blocks on my way home, and finished the day by stretching (read: laying on the floor) at my apartment. I was pretty tired by the time I got home, and couldn’t fathom the idea of Beyoncé doing a full-on rehearsal. I attempted some light core exercises before going to bed.

Day Five was enlightening. I don’t know how many two- or three-a-days I could realistically incorporate into my fitness routine, unless I followed a super regimented schedule and exercised early in the morning, followed by a lighter workout at night.

Saturday: Yoga Rest & Recovery

A writer tries stretching like Beyonce, which includes a yoga workout.

  • Downward Facing Dog
  • Warrior I & II
  • Seated Spinal Twist
  • Seated Forward Fold
  • Pigeon Pose
  • Child’s Pose

Beyoncé’s trainer previously told Glamour that he “stretches her after every workout” to maintain flexibility. As a certified yoga instructor , I thought this would be the perfect excuse to recover while still getting some gentle movement in. I was feeling pretty exhausted on Day Six, and a mix of active and passive yoga postures was exactly what my body was craving.

I began in downward-facing dog, which felt incredible for my back . However, I also felt my tight hamstrings right away, and transitioning into warrior one and two, I noticed my hips were noticeably sore after yesterday’s SoulCycle class. Eventually, I made my way down to the ground and did a few spinal twists and forward folds followed by a pigeon pose on both sides. I finished the yoga series with a long child’s pose, and TBH, I could’ve stayed there all day.

Day Six reminded me that no matter how intense your workout routine is, rest is needed — including for Beyoncé. The star told Elle UK that she also enjoys practices like meditation and guided visualization to keep her centered. Even though I didn’t launch into full-on zen mode, I felt calmer and more aware of my body during the yoga routine.

Sunday: Legs

A writer tries Beyonce’s leg workout which gave her stamina and balance for the Renaissance tour.

  • Jumping Lunges: three sets of 10 reps
  • Plié Jumps: three sets of 10 reps
  • Pelvic Lifts: three sets of 10 reps
  • Reverse Squat Kicks: three sets of 10 reps
  • Towel Stretch: hold for 60 seconds on each side

After six days of running, boxing, spinning, core work, and strength training, I felt like I had worked nearly every inch of my body. But to finish the week on a high note, I attempted Beyoncé’s leg workout, which her trainer previously shared with Elle. The routine includes a series of jumping lunges , plié jumps, pelvic lifts, and reverse squat kicks. Borges recommended doing 10 reps during three sets to really work the lower body .

First, I did a light warmup on my walking pad at home to get my energy flowing after sitting at my desk all day, before launching into the workout. At first, the movements felt pretty attainable, but after repeating them over and over, my glutes and thighs were on fire. I also started getting shaky during the reverse squat kicks and had to use the wall to stabilize myself a few times (no shame). My legs are pretty strong to begin with, but I was surprised at how much of a challenge Bey’s leg workout proved to be.

At the end of the series, I laid on my yoga mat , grabbed a towel, looped it over the arch of my foot, then straightened my leg for a hamstring stretch. To release the hip flexors, I did a “figure-four” pose on my back followed by “legs-up-the-wall.” This cooldown felt amazing after leg day and at the end of a long week.

Beyoncé Workout Routine Results

After a week of doing Beyoncé’s workouts, I can see why she has the stamina that she does for the Renaissance Tour and countless other projects. Every day felt like a full-body workout, and I personally felt a big difference — physically, mentally, and emotionally — between Day One and Seven. Prior to this challenge, I’d do a mix of low-impact exercises , like walking, Pilates, yoga, and the occasional treadmill or spin class. During solo sessions at the gym, I often shy away from using weights, but this workout routine made me realize that a little strength training can go a long way.

By the end of this challenge, I felt stronger and more toned overall. Along with the physical results, I learned that photographing myself working out presented a major lesson in body acceptance and positivity. In a world where you can scroll through TikTok and see countless fitness influencers with rock-hard abs, I had to remind myself daily that how I feel is more important than the aesthetic. I’d definitely do this workout again, but for now, it’s time to celebrate with a Renaissance Tour cocktail .
