First of all, riding with an ex-pro is an awesome experience in and of itself. He was full of stories and cool tips. The ride itself was challenging--24mi and almost 5k feet of vert. They provide you with electrolyte water and bars.

Highly recommend! Easy-going uphill ride on electric bikes, through pastural ranches of Waimea, Big Island. The starting area is approximately one mile high elevation, so the temperature is usually in the 70s or 60s depending if there is sunshine. Mostly gravel roads, so take care to slow down before going down steep declines.
