The annual summer concert series is marking its deca-versary by bringing back blink-182, the inaugural artist from the first Honda Civic Tour in 2001, along with My Chemical Romance for a 40-plus date nationwide trek beginning on Friday, August 5. Support acts for the anniversary tour include Manchester Orchestra, Rancid and Matt & Kim.

The Honda Civic Tour will offer tickets priced for maximum affordability for all fans, providing an awesome musical experience at an incredible value. Members of the blink-182 and My Chemical Romance fan clubs will have access to exclusive pre-sale tickets on Monday, June 6. Blink-182, My Chemical Romance Team Up For 2011 Honda Civic Tour

Though we've yet to hit the summer touring season, we've already got one trek circled: The 2011 Honda Civic Tour, which will see Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance joining forces on an epic, 40-plus-date jaunt that runs from late summer into the fall.

Also along for the ride are [artist id="2486892"]Manchester Orchestra[/artist], [artist id="1011"]Rancid[/artist] and [artist id="2448334"]Matt & Kim[/artist], who will open on select dates. Members of Blink's and MCR's fan clubs will have first crack at tickets to all shows, in an exclusive pre-sale that will begin on June 6. Then, on June 8, anyone who "likes" the Honda Civic Tour's Facebook profile will gain access to tickets. And finally, all remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on June 10 via Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

2011 marks the 10th anniversary for the Honda Civic Tour, which kicked off in 2001 with Blink-182 on the bill and, in following years, has featured everyone from [article id="1634387"]Paramore,[/article] the Black Eyed Peas and Panic! at the Disco to Incubus and Maroon 5. The so-called "deca-versary" trek gets under way in Holmdel, New Jersey, on August 5, and crisscrosses the continent before coming to a close on October 15 in San Diego (in what will be a de facto hometown show for the Blink guys). Blink-182 to Headline Honda Civic 2011 Tour

Though they disbanded in 2005, Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus says that since the band reformed in 2009 it has been each member’s top priority.

“It’s not a side project at all,” Hoppus told SoundSpike . “Blink is our priority as a band, as people—it’s what we’ve done since day one for almost 20 years at this point. The other projects that we have in our lives allow us to kind of break away and do something creative, and bring that knowledge and those skills back to blink as a band. But Blink is no side project by any means.”

The band’s deadline for turning in the album is July 31st, with a release date to follow sometime this fall. The band promised to preview new tracks on the upcoming tour.

I don’t understand why no treble posts these bands that don’t treat the bass as it should be. The bass is a beautiful melodic instrument not just something pop punk bands can do endless root notes on 16th rhythms. Tssk.

While some of us may agree with you Freddie, readers vote with their clicks, and different tastes makes the world go ’round.

Some of us don’t like metal, some don’t like jazz… but enough readers like enough of what we post to signal to us we should continue. Sometimes it is okay just to skip an article. Sometimes we learn about the things we shouldn’t post in the future too.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 11 and  fans can “like” the Honda Civic Tour Facebook page and get access to presale tickets on Wednesday, June 8.

Photos: Blink 182, Honda Civic Tour 2011

When do you get pure white light and nothing but for three full songs? With Blink 182, that's when. Headlining the Honda Civic Tour, Blink brought the three-man circus to town in a set full of middle-school humor, the band's infectious brand of pop punk, and even a flying drum kit.

• Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8

This show with Blink 182 was pretty insanely bright, even to such a degree that even exposures were a challenge. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

With lots of haze on the stage and high contrast light from the sides of the stage, this show was a rare opportunity to use pretty reasonably high shutter speeds and moderately “mid-level” concert ISOs.

If anything, the only real challenge of this set was navigating the packed photo pit. Tons of credentialed photographers combined with a very tight photo pit made moving around slow at best – not ideal for a band that can move around as much as Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge at the front of the stage.

Lens-wise, the 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 did pretty equal duty, though I'd give the slight edge to the telephoto on this one, simply because I used it exclusively for drummer Travis Barker as well as for both Hoppus and DeLonge. The midrange zoom was useful for closer action, particularly when Tom DeLonge knelt down to play his guitar right in front of me.

The truth of it is that the whole band knows what makes a good photo, but Tom DeLonge in particular really hams it up for the camera.

Overall, a very fun show to cover on assignment. Personally, I would have loved a more selective press approvals, but at the same time, it's great that Blink 182 isn't snobbish in the least for who they'll accept press from.

Blink-182 Postpones European Tour to Finish Album

Ticket prices will start at $20, a spokesperson for the tour tells Billboard.com. Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance fan club members will have exclusive access to pre-sale tickets on June 6, and tickets go on sale to the general public June 10 through Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. Those who join and “Like” the trek’s Facebook profile ( Facebook.com/HondaCivicTour ) will gain access to pre-sale tickets on June 8.

Blink-182 announce new North American tour dates

Blink-182 have announced new 2024 North American tour dates over the summer, kicking off in Orlando in June.

He told The Los Angeles Times: "I think the power of love really helped me. Kourt made it so I fly, my kids fly now. She healed us.

"It takes a little piece of my life every time I fly. The amount of stress and anxiety it causes is just unbearable.

"It brings up all this old trauma, and sometimes I’m like, ‘Is this worth it?’ But I don’t like anything having a hold on me, either — I don’t like being afraid, and I don’t like having things from my past control my future.”

EVERYTHING is made of mosaic rather than being painted and it really is impressive. Get a combined ticket for the cathedral and to climb the dome, the views from the top are amazing. We needed a guide, but the companies to which we applied could provide a guide only in English or German. I speak English well, but my friends do not understand it. It was the 4th time I and my family stayed and the Arthurs Spa and Village in Moscow region. I wanted to ceIebrate my birthday there together with my family. So I had called the hotel reservation desk one month in advance and asked to book a quiet standard room for 2 adults and a 10-months baby in the main building. The hotel associate offered a quiet room at the building corner and confirmed that she would make a note in my reservation on that. I agreed with this proposal and was pleased to hear that the hotel staff cares about the customers. But upon arrival we were offered the room in the middle of the long corridor, while the sound insulation had appeared to be really bad there - all the noises both from the neighbouring rooms and from the corridor were very loud. The 1st night was ok with no significant incidents. But the next day the new neighbors arrived. They drunk alcohol, shouted, made much noise during late evening hours. At 22:30 my husband went there and politely asked them to be quieter explaining that our baby was asleep. These people replied in a rude and aggressive manner and continued shouting and running at the corridor. I called the reception, the receptionist promised to send a hotel security guard to solve the problem. The security guard came there but there was NO result, i.e. the loud TV, noise and shouting continued up to 2 a.m. As a result we could not sleep enough, got a lot of negative emotions and stress, the next day were completely exhausted and tired. The hotel stuff was not able to solve the problem with the aggressive and inadequate people, who disturbed the rest hotel guests a lot. The birthday time was completely spoiled.

THE MAIN HOTEL ARTHURS SPA LIES IN A BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND HAS GREAT FACILITIES BUT ARTHURS VILLAGE IS A POOR VERSION OF THE SAME WITH DIRTY CARPETS, DIRTY SHOWERS, HORRIBLE BEDS AND OLD FASHIONED FURTNITURES IN THE ROOM. ITS A 10MIN WALK TROUGH SNOW WITH MINUS 24 DEGREES AND 4 KIDS TO THE MAIN HOTEL WHERE ALL THE FUN STUFF LIKE THE SKATING RING, POOL AND BOWLING WAS AND THE EVENING ENTERTAINMENT-WITH 2 SUITCASES TO BRING ALL THE KIDS' GEAR LIKE SWIMMING GEAR, SKATES ETC AND THEN AT NIGHT AT 22 PM BACK FOR 15 MIN TROUGH A -24 DEGREES COLD WITH NO TRANSPORT BETWEEN THE HOTELS. REALLY UNCOMFY FOOD IS GOOD AND PERSONNEL IS FRIENDLY

In general very good experience. Spa & wellness facilities are excellent. All needed things for kids 0, 3 and 9 years old were provided by request. The only thing - access to building 6 is hard with the baby stroller cradle.

An overpriced stay. Electricity issues (we had no power in the midnight, then we had issues with A/C and Wi-Fi because of that. They couldn’t fix it. Poor communication by e-mail. I asked to switch on A/Cs in both rooms beforehand but no one paid attention to my request. The pre-promised late check out turned out to be impossible too… But fine, we wanted to leave asap because of not working A/C in the living room. Green area. Poor facilities. Poor animation. Green water pool in SPA (no visibility, river smell). Regarding the cleaning. We found 2 socks in the living room right under the heater. Come on! Nice food. Open air cinema. Overall, it doesn’t look as it costs. Is it Accor?
