Quarters of Change Announce 2023 North American Headline Deluxe Tour

A special Spotify Fans First pre-sale begins on Wednesday November 30 at 10am local time, while general on-sale begins Friday December 2 at 10am local time.

Buzzing New York alternative rock band Quarters of Change will hit the road on the Deluxe Tour in 2023. It will be the group's very first headline run across North America. A special Spotify Fans First pre-sale begins on Wednesday November 30 at 10am local time, while general on-sale begins Friday December 2 at 10am local time.

The band hits the road on February 22 in Washington, DC on Union Stage, rolls through New York on February 25 for a home show at Irving Plaza, hits SXSW in Austin, TX March 15-17, and concludes on March 21 in Atlanta, GA at Masquerade Purgatory.

Quarters of Change recently wrapped up their first cross-country tour supporting Bad Suns. Additionally, they dropped Into The Rift (Deluxe)-streaming on all platforms via Elektra Entertainment. This version of their debut LP includes three new tracks, including the single "To Let Go," "T Love - Extended," and "Blue Copper." It has already amassed 10 million-plus streams.

Joining a catalogue of infectious hits, the latest single "To Let Go" introduces the band's emotional side, as lead singer, Ben Roter, sings about the tragic loss of his birth father. The track proved to be a crowd favorite on tour as well. It notably arrived in the wake of single "Blue Copper" and their debut album Into The Rift.

The LP, which features eleven electric and cathartic tracks, introduced and solidified Quarters of Change as a standout quartet going beyond the typical conventions and traditional boundaries of genre to take the rock scene by storm. The group has already seen an exponential rise in all areas, including a 350% increase in streaming consumption year-to-date. Shoutouts from celebrity fans such as Joe Jonas, Fred Durst, and Lewis Capaldi have also helped catapult the group into the limelight.

From standalone singles such as "T Love" and "Dead" to newer songs such as "Ms. Dramatic," the versatile debut body of work is as tempestuous as it is melodic. "Dead" meshes an upbeat chorus with the group's quintessential shredding guitar while "Sex" is a groovy display of emotional lyrics.

"Sex" is praised by Billboard as a "slow-burning, psychedelic track [that] highlights the depths of the group's range as musicians." The product is a debut LP that successfully encapsulates the contrived chaos that is Quarters of Change.

Quarters of Change refresh and reinvigorate alternative rock with focused songcraft, fascinating instrumentation, and fiery hooks. As the story goes, these four New York natives-Ben Acker [guitar, bass, synths], Attila Anrather [drums], Jasper Harris [guitars, bass, synths], and Ben Roter [vocals, guitar]-cut their teeth together in marathon jam sessions throughout high school.

Decamping to their school's "recording studio" aka basement, the boys recorded what would become the independent Cyclone Trips EP [2018] and its follow-up Hey EP [2020]. Occupying coveted real estate on playlists such as Spotify's "Fresh Finds," they caught the attention of 300 Entertainment and signed to the label, promptly dropping out of college.

The musicians maintained their momentum with the Innocent EP [2021] and New Hour EP [2021] before "Kiwi" popped off with 4 million-plus Spotify streams in 2022. Speaking to their appeal and indefinable je ne sais quoi, the band managed to captivate everyone from Joe Jonas and Lewis Capaldi to Fred Durst in addition to inciting the applause of Billboard and more.

Along the way, Quarters of Change wrote their full-length debut, Into The Rift [300 Elektra Entertainment], face-to-face together. Harris served as Executive Producer, while the group also joined forces with producers Tom Lord-Alge and Mikey Freedom Hart [Bleachers] to round out the final body work. Now, Into The Rift projects their vision in widescreen and paves the way for more music and touring to come in 2023 and beyond.

At launch, the game’s exciting 'Road to the Masters' content will deliver players the prestige of competing in the Masters Tournament, plus additional experiences exclusive to Augusta National. The game will also include coaching challenges, designed in collaboration with the PGAA Education and Player Development departments, that teach skills valuable not only in game, but also in the real world. Fans will be able to participate in multiple amateur events, including the U.S. Amateur created in partnership with the USGA.

Will crossplay appear in EA SPORTS PGA TOUR?

We are always trying to bring you the best golf game on the market with EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, which we know includes a variety of features like crossplay. At launch, crossplay will not be a feature that appears in-game, but we are constantly evaluating the possibility of this feature appearing post-launch.

There are a variety of ways you’ll be able to play with your friends in online modes throughout the game. Cross-Platform progression is available for your created golfer so you can save your gear, outfits, and achievements to access your created golfer across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

When will the Masters be playable in EA SPORTS PGA TOUR?

The Masters at Augusta National will be available to play at launch with any purchase of the deluxe or standard edition of the game. You’ll get 30 courses to play at launch, including the host courses of the 2022 men’s major championships.

What is the current live service timeline?

The 2023 major courses including Oak Hill, Los Angeles Country Club, Royal Liverpool as well as Olympia Fields as a part of the FedExCup series and Marco Simone for the Ryder Cup will be released prior to each major championship.

We will also be releasing updates alongside golf’s biggest moments like The Majors, FedExCup and Ryder Cup with compelling new content tied to current and historic golf moments for players to enjoy.

The game will launch with Road to the Masters and will include a variety of Masters-themed Challenges.  We’ll share more details about the live service timeline after launch.

Why is this game only available on current gen (PS5, Xbox X|S, and PC) gaming systems?

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR’s high-fidelity visuals and gameplay are only possible with  PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S consoles as well as some PCs, so the game was developed with this in mind.

What is the fps for EA SPORTS PGA TOUR?

On PC, EA SPORTS PGA TOUR can run at 30 fps, 60 fps, or unlocked framerate. Consoles (Xbox X|S and PS 5) will run 30 fps.

We understand that some players have a strong visual preference for higher framerate in their video games and we’ve heard community feedback surrounding the fps of the game on console. As a result, we’re examining the ability to add it into the game in the future.

What impacts your shot?

There’s a reason players and caddies talk before their shot to best achieve success on the course so you’ll experience this in the pre-shot decisions you’ll have to make for a great shot. The challenge of your shot appears in a split between pre-shot decisions like club and shot types, with swing execution and placement based on course dynamics. This way you’ll be thinking more “golf” and less “golf swing” only.

A variety of factors like club and shot type all impact your shot but most of all, course dynamics and ball behavior like wind, altitude, terrain reactions, ball dribbling, and more will impact your shot. The full list of aspects that impact your shot are listed below

• Slope of the terrain
• Velocity & spin reduction from adverse terrain (like rough)
• Golfer, club, and ball attributes
• Power boost
• Swing execution
• In-flight Spin Control
• Ball Reactions depending on terrain type and course Conditions

What game modes (online and offline) are available in-game?

Online game modes:

Online game modes support simultaneous play for up to 16 players and include the following game mopeds.

• COMPETITIVE mode is ranked matchmaking to test your skills in numerous game types including 9 and 18 hole rounds.
• SOCIAL mode allows you to play against similarly skilled players online in a more relaxed  unranked environment, offering multiple ways to play such as 9 and 18 hole rounds.
• PRIVATE MATCH mode allows you to group up with your friends and play online together with full control of gameplay and round settings allowing you to fully customize your round.

Offline game modes:

• If you just want to dive in quickly and play a round, QUICK PLAY is exactly what you’re looking for.  Quick play can also be played as local multiplayer (couch co-op) with up to 4 golfers offering varying ways to compete such as match play, skins, alternate shot rules, and more.
• CAREER MODE is an offline mode that will be playable at launch (but will require an online connection). You’ll hear more about that during our career mode deep dive in the coming weeks.
• CHALLENGES provides bite-sized experiences of various lengths. Ranging anywhere from a 4 hole challenge to recreating a golfer’s hot streak from a recent PGA Tour event, to single shot challenges where you, for example, are given 5 opportunities to hit a specific shot, challenges are short yet difficult moments for you to grow your skills and earn rewards. Within Challenges mode, there’s “PGA Coach Skill Center” which is a great way to learn more about game mechanics, shot types, and the game of golf in general.
• TOURNAMENTS provides limited-time tournaments for players to go in by themselves and submit a score to a global leaderboard that other users are also submitting to. From here, the game gives you a final rank that is paid out in rank points based on finishing position. Most of it is stroke play, where the number of holes can be variable. Ongoing seasonal events throughout the pro golf calendar can also alter the tournaments for different settings on different courses.

How can I customize gameplay to my personal preferences?

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR features a variety of gameplay styles from arcade settings that assist you with a putting grid, power boost, and spin control to simulation settings that remove all assistance for a true-to-life gameplay experience.

Is there weather available in-game?

There are a variety of factors that impact gameplay on the course including altitude and wind. Courses in traditionally cloudy areas like The Old Course at St. Andrews will appear cloudy while sunny courses like The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island will appear bright. Other weather conditions will not affect gameplay or appear in-game.

Will there be a 3-click swing option in-game?

We know that the 3-click swing is important to the community and as a result of early community feedback we are planning to include this swing in an early title update after launch.

Those who indulge will be able to play at major championship venues such as augusta national.

EA Sports is officially back in the golf video game space with its impending release of "EA Sports PGA TOUR". Marking its first venture back to the golf scene since "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" in 2015, the return to consoles will feature stark contrasts compared to those that came before. Having previously featured cover athletes such as McIlroy and primarily Tiger Woods from 1999-2014, this year's edition of the game will not include a big-name superstar on the cover. EA Sports will instead lean on new gameplay options, advanced technology and the inclusion of some of the most storied golf courses around the world.

Below is everything you need to know ahead of the upcoming release of "EA Sports PGA Tour".

Release date

The official release date for "EA Sports PGA TOUR" is Friday, March 24, just two weeks before the 2023 Masters. This makes some sense as the game will feature a Road to the Masters gameplay option. 

Price and consoles

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Featuring three different editions, each will come at a different price point. The "Deluxe Edition" is available for pre-order at $84.99 while the "Standard Edition" comes in at $69.99. Lastly, the "EA Play Pro Edition" is listed at $99.99/yr.

The game will include 30 courses in total, and boasts some of the world's most prominent venues such as Augusta National Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Southern Hills Country Club, The Old Course at St Andrews Links, The Country Club, Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Ocean Course, Torrey Pines, Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France, East Lake Golf Club, TPC Southwind, The Los Angeles Country Club, Wilmington Country Club and more. It will also feature the major host courses from 2021 and 2022 as well as the new 2023 majors courses releasing post-launch. 

You can play the game as Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Champ, Xander Schauffele, Sungjae Im, Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau and Hideki Matsuyama.

My Career mode

The game will include a role playing game mode-type progression in the Road to the Masters. As one's golf game improves, the likelihood of donning the green jacket or raising a major championship trophy increases. Users will be able to create and customize a golfer and develop their skills through the 20 different shot types available. From there, players will compete in major championships, participate in some of the PGA Tour's best events -- such as The Players Championship -- and ultimately the FedEx Cup. In addition to this, players can take on top amateur championships including the Augusta National Women's Amateur, the U.S. Amateur and other elite international amateur events.

LPGA and the Amundi Evian Championship

In partnership with the LPGA, fans can compete at The Amundi Evian Championship, one of the LPGA Tour's five major championships. They will also have the opportunity to play as several female athletes as well as create a female golfer in the Create-A-Player feature and be able to participate in a series of LPGA-themed challenges and other events.

New technology

• True-to-Life course visuals:  EA's Frostbite engine uses state-of-the-art equipment such as drone technology, custom LiDAR flight helicopters and more to develop terrain maps allowing to game to depict courses exactly as they appear in real life
• ShotLink:  Golfers will authentically be replicated with accurate player ratings, skills and magnified true-to-life in-game events by utilizing the PGA Tour's proprietary real-time scoring system since 2001.
• Trackman data:  Insights from TrackMan will allow for authentic gameplay utilizing a myriad of stats including club tuning, flight trajectory, landing position and much more.

What about Tiger Woods?

Woods is no longer with the EA Sports family after their partnership from 1999-2014. The 15-time major champion is now with the 2K franchise , and made it known to his followers where they can play as him.

Your Grand Canyon Tour starts off with a scenic ride from the Red Rocks of Sedona, through Oak Creek Canyon (one of the top 10 scenic drives in America) and towering Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff. After meeting our Flagstaff guests, we drive past the dormant volcanoes that make up the San Francisco Peaks, on our way to Grand Canyon National Park, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Your first views of the Grand Canyon will take your breath away. You will be looking at one of the wider sections of the canyon, which will give you an appreciation for the magnitude of this Wonder of the World. From the South Rim you'll gaze 14 miles across to the North Rim. You'll visit the only point where you can see the Kaibab Suspension Bridge and see glimpses of the mighty Colorado River in several spots far down below. You can also gaze all the way across to the north rim. After your first view of the canyon, you may select to go for a walk along the Trail of Time, or head over to the Grand Canyon Village to explore various famous historical buildings and views.

We stop along the way at the best vistas the Grand Canyon has to offer. Your knowledgeable guide will make sure you get to see the most magnificent viewpoints on the south rim. One of our superb views along the way is a stop at Grandview Point. This transitional point between the East and South Rims of the Grand Canyon offers both the open views of the Colorado River Gorge afforded at the East Rim, as well as the butte-filled views for which the South Rim is famous. You'll end your day with views of the Grand Canyon and Colorado River at Desert View. Climb up to the top of the Watchtower Observatory for magnificent panoramic views of the Grand Canyon. The Watchtower Observatory is one of the crowning achievements of architect Mary Jane Colter.

At the end of the day, we'll make a stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post, originally built in 1916. You will have time at Cameron to shop at one of the finest places to shop for authentic Native American souvenirs. You may also visit The Gallery, home of many breathtaking pieces of fine and historic Native American Arts and Crafts. You'll view the western edge of the Painted Desert as you relax on your way back from the Grand Canyon.

The 15-city second leg produced by Live Nation will kick off on Saturday, September 17 at The Criterion in Oklahoma City, making stops across the U.S. in Brooklyn, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping up in Seattle at WAMU Theater on Monday, October 17.

The 7220 album was released March 2022, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts and then subsequently went to No.1 again four weeks later. 7220 has garnered critical praise from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, the New York Times , and Vulture , and was certified gold by the RIAA, spawning 1 platinum and 3 gold-certified singles (“Broadway Girls” with Morgan Wallen, “What Happened to Virgil,” “AHHH HA,” and “Pissed Me Off”). Following the release in March, Durk also performed on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon . Boasting contributions features from Wallen, Gunna, and Future, among others, the album is Durk’s most successful work to-date, with over 1 Billion streams in 2 months.

The maximum number of participants will not exceed 26 people during your Japan tour. Your group may be joined with other tour groups during the tour. Please note that your bus and tour guide may be changed if other groups join the tour.

Single Supplement

Single travelers are required to pay a single supplement in order to guarantee single room accommodation.

We request one suitcase, one carry-on bag, and an overnight bag per person. The tote bag we provide can be used to hold any small merchandise/souvenirs purchased during your tour. When you check out, bring your luggage to the lobby and the bus driver will assist in loading it onto the bus. When you arrive at the next hotel, the bus driver will unload your luggage for you to bring to your room. Please note: The maximum weight of a checked in bag is typically 20 Kilograms or 44 Pounds. You will be traveling with your luggage except during the bullet train ride (if applicable).

Accommodation

All hotel rooms come with a full bathroom and room amenities free of charge unless stated otherwise.

Fitness & Shoes

Traveling and visiting sights in Japan includes a good amount of walking. To fully enjoy the tour, please be prepared to keep up with the pace of the group, climb stairs with no difficulty, and wear comfortable shoes for all day use.

Guests with tattoos may not be able to use the hot-springs or onsens while in Japan. We apologize if you are unable to enjoy this experience during your stay.

EA Sports PGA Tour Editions: Deluxe & Standard Comparison

EA Sports PGA Tour will launch with two different editions, and there are some major differences between them.

It's fairly commonplace for publishers and developers to launch a game with separate editions in the modern era of video games. This gives players access to more content if they're willing to pay, but players who are not can simply buy the regular version of the game.

EA Sports PGA Tour is maintaining this trend, as the reboot of the popular golf video game series will release sporting two separate editions. As expected, one of these editions is the standard version of the game while the other is a more expensive and content-filled version. The names of the two editions for EA Sports PGA Tour are the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition costs $70, which has become the norm for next-generation titles, and the Deluxe Edition costs $85. The difference in price isn't nearly as stark as editions of other games, which might be good news for players, as they don't have to pay that much extra for the Deluxe Edition.

As you can see, the Deluxe Edition offers quite a bit more than the Standard Edition. Moreover, the Standard Edition's extra content only comes from pre-ordering EA Sports PGA Tour. If you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you can access that content plus a variety of other benefits. However, the Deluxe Edition might not be worth it for every player.

Although, it might be worth it for those who do not yet own Madden 23 and have been looking to try it. The Deluxe Edition comes with a free code for Madden 23 on PC and the All Madden Edition of Madden 23 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
