The official Game of Thrones Studio Tour is hiring people

The  Game of Thrones   Studio Tour is basically an official  Game of Thrones  museum that will be housed at Linen Mills Studio in Northern Ireland, where much of the show was shot. We’re talking recreations of sets, costumes and props from the show on display, a (hopefully medieval-themed) cafe, a gift shop full of  Game of Thrones  merch, and more.

The Game of Thrones  Studio Tour was supposed to open to the public last year, but the pandemic got in the way.

However, things are moving along nicely, as the official website has announced that it’s holding recruitment days. It already did one on October 28 and is doing another on November 6, this upcoming Saturday, at Ulster University in Belfast. So if you wanna make  Game of Thrones  your full-time gig, show up with your resume and an ID!

And what kind of jobs are they hiring for? It runs the gamut: they’re looking for folk to work retail, to manage the facilities, to do HR work, and of course to give guided tours to visitors, which I think a lot of  Game of Thrones  fans could do in their sleep. They’re even hiring managers, so this is a proper staffing up.

We don’t have a firm date for when the  Game of Thrones  Studio Tour will officially open, but clearly that day is getting closer. I’m eager to see the place when it’s ready.

Warner Bros. Opens 'Game of Thrones' Studio Tour

February 4, 2022, 1:49 PM · Fans of "Game of Thrones" now can walk through The Great Hall of Winterfell, Castle Black, and other sets from the HBO series in the new Game of Thrones Studio Tour, which opened today in Northern Ireland.

The latest attraction from Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment includes original sets, props, and costumes from the series, as well as interactive experiences designed to help fans learn how creators brought George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels to the screen. The 110,000-square-foot attraction is located inside Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, where about one-fourth of the series was filmed.

"We are thrilled to finally open our doors to guests and allow them to get closer to the Seven Kingdoms than ever before at the world’s first and only Game of Thrones Studio Tour," Linen Mill Studios Executive Director Andrew Webb said.

The self-guided experience takes about two to three hours to complete and leads guests on a journey from North to South in Westeros. Sights along the way include Daenerys Targaryen’s Dragonstone throne, Jon Snow’s Longclaw sword, and Sansa Stark’s wedding dress.

This Games of Throne attraction is the latest studio tour experience from Warner Bros., which also offers the Harry Potter-themed Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden, England, as well as its original tour in Burbank, California, whose expansion we covered last summer: Warner Bros. Reopens Its Expanded Hollywood Studio Tour .

Advance reservations are required for the Game of Thrones Studio Tour. Timed tickets cost £39.50 for adults, £27.50 for children ages 5-15, and £31.50 for students or seniors. More information is available on the Studio Tour website .

Sounds like the tour will be extremely good in the beginning but a huge disappointment at the end.

Hey, at least it has an end. The Song of Ice and Fire tour just leaves you hanging in the middle, waiting forever for the next room to open.

Love it! Game of Thrones was a huge hit. Between this, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings, Warner Bros. has solidified itself as the king of fantasy franchises.

'Game of Thrones' Official Studio Tour Opens in 2022

If you've ever wanted to travel to Westeros, you might just be in luck! Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment has just announced the opening date for their highly-anticipated Game of Thrones Studio Tour at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. The tour will immerse fans into the world of Westeros, showcasing sets, original props, costumes, and even more behind-the-scenes reveals from the iconic HBO series.

This is the first official Game of Thrones studio tour to be offered, and will include locations such as the Great Hall at Winterfell and Daenerys Targaryen’s Dragonstone throne. The 110,000-square-foot immersive experience will bring fans closer to the world of the seven kingdoms of Westeros. Linen Mill Studios served as a backdrop to a third of the 75 percent of scenes that were filmed in Northern Ireland — although the series notably filmed all over the world over the course of its time on HBO, including in Iceland and Spain.

Previously, the studio had been deemed off-limits to the public, this tour experience will be the first opportunity to get a look behind the curtain of the epic Game of Thrones set. COVID safety measures and social distancing protocols will be put in place to maintain the safety of the tour. BANBRIDGE, Northern Ireland - "Game of Thrones" fans will be able to immerse themselves in some of the most iconic locations of the series with the unveiling of an official studio tour. 

The new "Game of Thrones" Studio tour lets fans of the show journey to the far edges of the lands of Westeros, beyond the wall or even see the destruction of the iconic throne room in King’s Landing. 

The studio tour officially opens Feb. 4 and is located at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, one of several locations where the iconic show was filmed.

A variety of costumes, props and other sets will also be on display. 

"Delve into the world behind the screen, from the earliest concepts and designs to the jaw-dropping final cuts. Learn from the award-winning artists who helped bring it all to life," writes the official website for the tour.

Fans will have the chance to view with their very eyes iconic memorabilia including Jon Snow’s fabled "Longclaw" blade along with other fantastic weapons featured on the hit HBO series.

The attraction marvels at a whopping 110,000 square feet and showcases the Great Hall of Winterfell, sets from King’s Landing, Dragonstone as well as several other interactive experiences. 

The fantasy drama series, which is set in the fictional kingdom of Westeros, attracted a broad, international fan base and received 47 Primetime Emmy Awards. The show is an adaptation of Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels and began shooting in 2011.

The series concluded after eight seasons on HBO in 2019. A "Game of Thrones" prequel titled "House of the Dragon" is expected to release on HBO later this year. 

"House of the Dragon" will be set 300 years before the events of "GoT" and stars Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, per HBO .

The shuttle bus from Belfast to the Game of Thrones studio tour departs 3 times a day - 9:30 am, 11:00 am and 2:00 pm - and brings you back to Belfast City Centre once you’ve concluded the tour.

Alternatively, it is relatively straightforward to get from Belfast City Centre to Banbridge in order to get to the Game of Thrones Studio tour by car. 

From Belfast City Centre, you have to follow the A1 and M1 south towards Banbridge simply. The journey from Belfast to the Linen Mill Studios should only take 30-40 minutes. 

We recommend buying a Studio Tour Admission Ticket online before arriving at the studios so you can skip the lines and head straight in once you arrive. 

Important to note - when driving to the Studio Tour, do not attempt to park at the Linen Mill Studios themselves, as no parking is allowed at the studios (exceptions do apply to those with specific needs). Instead, head towards the parking at ‘The Boulevard’ in Banbridge and jump on the complimentary Studio Tour Shuttle Bus.

Getting to Game of Thrones Studio Tour from Belfast by Taxi

The final option for getting to the Game of Thrones Studio tour in Banbridge from Belfast is to take a taxi from the city centre. 

This is perhaps the least cost-effective way of visiting the studios but it can be beneficial to those travelling in a group or without access to their own vehicles. 

The taxi cost varies greatly, but in general, you would expect to pay anywhere from £25-40 depending on the taxi company, time of day and traffic. We personally recommend pre-ordering a taxi through FonaCab Belfast . 

As with visiting by car, it is important to pre-order a Game of Thrones Studio Tour Admission ticket online before arriving at the studios. You will not be able to get on the shuttle bus from the car park to the studios without this ticket. 

Important to note - when being dropped off by taxi, you still need to go to the Game of Thrones Studio Tour Parking at ‘The Boulevard’. You will be turned away if you get dropped off directly at the Linen Mill Studios.

Wicked Casts Game of Thrones Alum Peter Dinklage - But Who Is He Playing?

Wicked just got another major star.

With a cast led by Cynthia Erivo , Ariana Grande, and Jeff Goldblum, Universal's upcoming two-part adaptation of the hit musical  Wicked  was already packed with major stars. Now, another big name has joined the cast, in a pivotal role.

Universal's presentation at this year's CinemaCon was capped off with a dazzling new trailer for  Wicked  on Wednesday, along with the news that Peter Dinklage has joined the film's cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Dinklage, best known for his work on the hit fantasy series  Game of Thrones , will voice Doctor Dillamond, a key character in the development of the story of the witches of Oz.

Peter Dinklage Joins Wicked as Doctor Dillamond

Dillamond emerges as a history teacher at Shiz University, where he's set apart by the fact that he's the only speaking animal who holds a teaching position at the school. An eloquent, kind talking goat with a passion for teaching, he forms a close bond with Elphaba (Erivo), who learns that Dillamond and speaking animals like him are facing discrimination within Oz, discrimination that the Wizard (Goldblum) doesn't seem keen to stop. This fact, and Elphaba's investment in Dillamond's plight, is a key part of Elphaba's eventual turn to becoming the Wicked Witch of the West.

Based on Gregory Maguire's novel of the same name,  Wicked  purports to tell the untold history of how Elphaba became the Wicked Witch, and how her one-time school friend, Glinda (Grande), eventually became the Good Witch who seemingly opposes her in L. Frank Baum's  The Wonderful Wizard of Oz . Maguire's novel was a bestseller, but the story really took off when it debuted as a new musical in 2003, quickly becoming one of the most successful productions of its era. 

Now,  Wicked  is prepared to take movie theaters by storm. Directed by Jon M. Chu ( In The Heights ), the film adaptation will be a sweeping two-part epic, with a cast that also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and more. 

Wicked hits theaters November 27. Its follow-up, Wicked Part Two, arrives almost exactly one year later, on November 26, 2025.

• Actor Henry Cavill and TV executive Natalie Viscuso confirmed their relationship in April 2021. 
• Since then, the couple have attended premieres together and shared photos of each other online.
• In April, Cavill confirmed that he and Viscuso are expecting their first child together.

Henry Cavill and his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso are gearing up for a major milestone in their relationship: parenthood.

Cavill, 40, and Viscuso, 34, made their relationship official on social media in 2021. Since then, they've coupled up for red-carpet premieres and posted photos of each other on Instagram.

It's unclear exactly how or when they met, but Cavill is known for his role as Clark Kent/Superman in the DC Extended Universe and Viscuso is the vice president of TV at Vertigo Entertainment. Prior to that, she worked as the vice president of television and digital studios at Legendary Entertainment, one of the production companies behind "Man of Steel."

Three days after the Daily Mail published photos of the pair walking in London with the actor's dog Kal, Cavill and Viscuso both posted a photo of them playing chess using a "Game of Thrones" themed set.

"This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess," Cavill captioned his Instagram post .

"Just teaching my dear Henry how to play some chess...or...maybe he let me win?" Viscuso captioned her post .

May 15, 2021: Cavill addresses 'animosity' he's noticed from fans online and says he's 'happy in love, and in life'

Cavill shared a selfie of him and Viscuso on Instagram , accompanied by a lengthy message to his followers. The "Witcher" star said that he's come across "social animosity" and speculation regarding his private and professional relationships.

"To you out there who are expressing your disdain and showing your displeasure through a surprising variety of ways, it's time to stop," Cavill said. "I know it can be fun to speculate, to gossip, and to dive into our own personal echo chambers on the internet, but your 'passion' is misplaced, and it causes harm to the people I care about most."

"I am very happy in love, and in life," he added. "I'd be enormously grateful if you were happy with me."

January 24, 2024: Viscuso supports Cavill during the press tour for 'Argylle'

Cavill starred in Matthew Vaughn's action movie as the fictional Agent Argylle, the protagonist of a book series. Viscuso supported Cavill at the film's premieres in South Korea and London.

April 15, 2024: Cavill confirms he and Viscuso are expecting their first child together

The day after Viscuso's baby bump was seen in paparazzi photos of the couple in New York City, the actor confirmed her pregnancy.

"I'm very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I'm sure you'll see much more of that," Cavill told Access Hollywood at the NYC premiere of Guy Ritchie's film "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare," in which he plays Gus March-Phillips.
