AJE SUMMER INSTITUTE

Receive specialized teaching and instruction at this 2 week course for 18-25 year olds. You’ll get the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge from our expert speakers and guest lecturers.

Take a tour of the American Journey Training Center for a hands-on experience to study historical documents and artifacts, and learn from American Journey Experience experts.

Our collection includes more than 160,000 artifacts, many of which you can see by visiting our facility in Irving, TX.

We use these artifacts to educate guests about our nation’s incredible history, encouraging them to take an active role in defending the American Journey.

You MUST register in advance for tours as we are not able to facilitate walk-ins due to other scheduled events. Your tour will include exclusive access to historical documents where you can browse our extensive collection of artifacts, learn from our experienced staff, and gain a deeper understanding of American history.

Freedom rising fellowship.

The American Journey Experience is excited to unveil “The American Journey Experience Fellowship Program: Freedom Rising Fellowship.” The Freedom Rising Fellowship is a new opportunity for students and young adults ages 21 – 35 in business, academia, journalism, finance, and public policy to be equipped and taught how to write op-eds for public consumption, convey information on television and radio, produce informational publications used by lawmakers, and become world-changers.

Those who are interested in applying for the Summer 2024 term should send a resume or CV, two writing samples, and a brief statement explaining their interest for joining the program to [email protected] . The application deadline is May 31, 2024.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain hands-on experience with original, historical documents and learn from program experts and guest lecturers. Join Mercury One and our partner WallBuilders for one of our sessions and discover the truth about our nation, our past, and how to lead it into the future!

We are opening up the American Journey Training Center to students who are 18-25 years old for a hands-on experience to study original historical documents. Receive specialized teaching and instruction and the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge from our speakers and guest lecturers.

Gain a deeper understanding of American history.

Over the course of the program, participants not only gain a deeper understanding of American history, but also learn how to question boldly, think critically, and engage in meaningful discourse when confronted with differing opinions. Participants spend the morning in a classroom-like setting and the afternoon exploring our original artifacts collection as well as online resources.

Turtle Soup Presentations

The Journey Museum consistently has fun and educational events for all ages. During the Spring and Fall seasons we have special history presentations that we call Turtle Soup. During Turtle Soup we have speakers present on a variety of topics ranging from South Dakota history, to Native American Arts & Culture, as well as other topics that will intrigue many.

STEAM Weekends

From October until May of the next year, The Journey Museum hosts STEAM Weekends. STEAM Weekends are constantly changing programs that are designed to educate children between the ages of 3 & 12 but are fun for the entire family! STEAM covers a wide range of topics: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math.

The Sioux Indian Museum’s contemporary gallery changes seasonally and covers a wide variety of Native American made art.

About The Journey Museum

Located in the stunning Black Hills of South Dakota, The Journey Museum spans 7 acres, and features exhibits on not only the fascinating history of the Black Hills, but also Native American culture too!

As soon as you step in the doors you are taken on a journey through history, real stories, cultures, and heritage.

Enter the Star Room and you are in complete darkness, but then you open your eyes and your ears to the scientific and cultural perspectives on the beginning of time - sounds pretty amazing to us!

Kids can venture into the earth's crust and see the many rock layers that form our planet, right beneath our feet, and kids can even enjoy hands-on fun as they touch and feel the very rocks and gems found right in the Black Hills region!

Love dinosaurs? Of course you do, which is why you'll love to hear that The Journey Museum allows you to dig up dinosaur bones, AND see a working fossil lab in the Paleontology Field Tent!

See pieces of history right in front of your eyes with real arrowheads from thousands of years ago (just imagine who were the people that made and used them), and even jump into an archaeological dig pit!

The learning and fun continues as you marvel at the intricate beadwork of the indigenous peoples, and even step inside a real tipi.

You're in South Dakota, so traveling back through time to see the demise of Wild Bill in Deadwood is a must, and even walk the boardwalk and check out the general store - just like it looked in pioneer times!

There is so much more to see and experience at The Journey Museum, but we'll keep that a secret for when you arrive - but if the above is anything to go on, you know that it will be a fascinating journey through history!

Keep an eye out for Toddler Tuesdays! They occur at pre-scheduled times and are great for those little ones to enjoy interactive learning fun. They also have other great events like Summer Series and art making!

Teachers corner

They offer educational group discounts of $4 per student (all students 18 and under) or $5 College Students. They also offer homeschool classes, summer camps, and more!

Glenn Beck unveils new American Journey Experience museum and training center to teach real history backed by truth

An exciting new museum and training center that brings you the real story of the american journey.

Glenn Beck unveiled the American Journey Experience, a place where you can learn the real history of the United States because you'll be immersed in the documents, artifacts, and stories that molded this great country. The American Journey Experience will be so much more than just dates and names. It will be a place where American pioneers and their accomplishments will be brought to life and you can experience history.

The American Journey Experience features a myriad of American history antiquities, including Franklin D. Roosevelt's wheelchair, the second electric chair ever built, the original script for Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds," and original letters written by George Washington.

But the American Journey Museum is not just a museum. The new climate-controlled American Journey Vault stores rare documents that chronicle this nation's legendary past. Inside is one of the rarest books in the world, an Aitken Bible from 1782, the first and only edition of the Bible ever authorized by Congress. Only 10,000 copies were originally made, and just 30-40 copies exist today.

Having the original documents and actual artifacts allows the American Journey Experience to fight misinformation with facts from primary sources.

The new American Journey Training Center is where college students and adults will be given an education unlike any other. This history lesson is far beyond what you learned from your Western Civilization class back in high school. The training is customized for educators, academic researchers, students of all ages, families, and everyday Americans who are seeking the truth about our nation's history.

For students, there will be two-week courses. On the first day of this groundbreaking course, you will be asked questions about hot-button topics such as the free market, socialism, abortion, and more. Then the course will provide students with a solid foundation of knowledge backed by historical evidence and not revisionist history. Real history that is backed by truth.

Not only will the instructors provide knowledge about American history and patriots, but they will more importantly equip young minds with the abilities and know-how on how they can be "truth-seekers" once they leave the classroom.

While the American Journey Experience has an incredible array of artifacts and documents, to tell the complete story of America, the museum will need more relics to teach America's past to America's future.

Donations will help Mercury One secure critical artifacts such as one of the best pilgrim collections, which was displayed at the Smithsonian. The pilgrim collection from as far back as the 16th century.

With your contributions , no matter how much, you will enable the team at the American Journey Experience to take centuries-old books and digitalize them, making them available online for all Americans to embrace these eminent documents.

Tickets for Polar Express Train Ride at National Railroad Museum to go on sale July 27

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) - Tickets for The Polar Express Train Ride at the National Railroad Museum will go on sale at 10 a.m. on July 27.

The shows typically sell-out in a day.

The Polar Express is a magical re-creation of the classic children’s story. Before the show, people can stroll among the decorated trees in the Festival of Trees, explore the full-size trains, or play games. The show begins with the hot chocolate dance. There is also a reading of the Polar Express book. The conductor will then call “All Aboard,” inviting guests to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole.

The shows are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 22 to Dec. 15. Tickets can be purchased on ticketstaronline.com
