This morning we take an orientation tour of Norfolk Island , enjoying views of the beautiful scenery and hearing about the rich history and heritage of the island. Visit historic Kingston , Cascade , Longridge , Emily Bay and the Melanesian Chapel . Morning tea is served in the gardens of the historic home built by Fletcher Quintal - descendant of the Bounty mutineers. Dinner tonight is at our resort.

Today we are immersed in Norfolk Island’s cultural heritage with our Music Valley and Pitcairn Settlers Village tours. Explore the historically significant Music Valley in scenic Kingston, guided by owner Jane Rutledge. Experience her artistic talents in carving and weaving and discover the island’s rich heritage through captivating stories. Then, step back in time at the Pitcairn Settlers Village, uncovering the traditions of Bounty mutineers’ descendants. End the day with a delightful progressive dinner, sampling local produce at charming venues hosted by local residents.

Today we explore Norfolk’s breathtaking underwater world on our Glass Bottom Boat Tour, revealing the wonders of vibrant marine life and stunning coral reefs beneath us(tide dependant). Next, we’ll take you to a local beekeeper’s home, a butchers shop, and enjoy a cooking demonstration, where we’ll uncover the secrets of traditional island cooking on our Taste of Norfolk tour. Tonight, we watch the sunset from one of the majestic clifftops on Norfolk’s beautiful western coastline, as we enjoy a fish fry feast of island dishes and some local entertainment.

This morning we take a leisurely 3.5km breakfast bushwalk tour , meandering through scenic Mount Bates to Captain Cook Monument and ending at the clifftops with a delicious breakfast barbeque . After lunch, we join the Island Culture tour to learn aspects of island style home cooking, the heritage of Norfolk language and see demonstrations of island weaving and woodturning . Tonight we dine at the resort, before visiting Wonderland by Night , to walk amongst the forest of enchanting illuminated Norfolk Pines listening to bush poetry written by Bounty mutineer descendant ‘Archie Biggs’.

Today the group will alternate to join the Island Adventures 4WD tour. Climb aboard the 4WD bus for a pioneering adventure off the beaten tracks. A state-of-the-art Norfolk Island experience, we share authentic insights of Norfolk’s unexplored valleys, ridges, coastlines and private properties.

Enjoy this morning at leisure before we set off after lunch on a Convict Settlement tour for an in-depth tour of the historic settlement of Kingston. Visiting the cemetery, we learn the history of convict and colonial headstones and stories of the houses along Quality Row .Walk through the ruins of the New Gaol and see the Pier Store and Crank Mill. Tonight we dress in convict outfits (provided) for a ‘Night as a Convict’ and enjoy a fun-filled night of feasting, singing, dancing, laughter and convict mayhem.

Return Flights to Brisbane

After our last hearty cooked breakfast on the island, we have time for some last-minute shopping before gathering for a light lunch. We then make our way to the airport for our return Carbon Neutral flight to Brisbane . SEE YORLYE GANE!

How do i book this tour.

To book this tour, all you need to do is get in touch with us. We will take your details and reserve your place over the phone. We can also answer any questions you may have and give you all the information you need.

How much luggage can I take?

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

What do the fitness ratings mean?

Each of our tours has a fitness rating which describes the level of physical activity involved with the tour. These ratings are very important when choosing your tour to ensure it's right for you.  Our fitness ratings are:

• 3 Active/moderate
• 4 Highly active

What is the average size of tour groups?

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests. Other tour types may have different capacities depending on the transport and destination. Please get in touch with our team if you have any questions about a specific tour.

Can you cater for my dietary requirements?

In most cases, yes we can. We can accommodate guests who are vegetarian and can assist with diabetic, gluten-free and other medically-recommended diets. Please advise us at time of booking, and we can confirm with our suppliers and restaurants.

The holiday was fantastic, the locals very friendly and helpful and the tours were fabulous.

The vouchers for the restaurants were very generous. The five of us struggled to use the full amount on some days. Our favourite restaurant was Hillis, the food, service and ambience was outstanding.

The Seaview is in need of some TLC, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Mobile phones in the rooms for guests use didn’t work. The view was amazing. Paul the Manager was somewhat vague about some of the arrangements, but helped where he was able.

We had requested one vehicle for the 5 of us (an SUV or 7 seater), when we arrived there were 3 cars allocated to us. Two were too small for the 5 of us, so we chose the largest of the 3. It was still a tight squeeze in the back seat for 3 people.

We had a fabulous time, everything in the package was well organised and went smoothly, tours were great, food was excellent and our voucher $$ covered the bill in most cases.

Accommodation at Seaview was in a beautiful spot, comfy beds, a free guest laundry, it was a bit dated but reasonably clean. Overall it is a package we would highly recommend.

Just a note to say we really enjoyed Norfolk Island and the package you arranged. It is indeed a beautiful place and the package was very good value particularly when you see local prices on food etc

I often do much of the detail planning in trips but getting the package made it very easy

The only problems were those I contacted you about and these were resolved

I mention these so you may be able to improve your package further in conjunction with your agent there

1. times of events on planner were not always consistent with vouchers

2. Seaview motel is not luxurious but adequate. The balcony view from our room beat any others we saw.

3. The commandant’s dinner is not an event I would recommend . The food is poor and few weak puns do not carry much enjoyment.

4.At Hillis, Bailleys, The boatshed, Fish Fry and the Bounty we enjoyed meals that should not be missed. The morning walk and Botanic garden walk are things that should not be missed also.

On our recent trip to Norfolk Island there was no problems at all, the booking process was easy and the information supplied to us was great. The flights, accommodation and car hire plus the extra tours organised all went well, nothing to worry about for us. As for Norfolk, it’s a beautiful island with lots of history, the fishing, surfing and walks where all great. This small Australian island is a dot in the South Pacific Ocean. Renowned for its imposing pine trees and rugged cliffs, you’ll quickly discover there’s a lot more to appreciate on Norfolk Island. From the reef-protected waters to the spectacular sandy beaches and the historic sites that tell the tales of the island’s confronting colonial past.

When you step off the plane, you’ll be warmly greeted by locals who are eager to help your trip get off to a great start. Seaview Norfolk Island offer a choice of hotel-style accommodation or self-contained cottages, only a few minutes drive from the airport and with sweeping ocean views. Set amongst five quiet acres, the property is a short walk to town and close to a variety of beautiful beaches, walking trails and more. Enjoy the flexibility of either hotel or apartment-style accommodation, with a kitchen, lounge and deck area. BBQ facilities are also available, as well as a pool and on-site restaurant (open Monday - Friday). 

To help you see more of the island and learn more about its proud history, four guided tours are included, as well as entry to Fletchers Cyclorama and a pass to four Kingston Museums with guided tours.

The Discover Norfolk Island half day tour is an introductory tour to Norfolk Island. In other words, its best taken early in a Norfolk Island holiday. Informative local guides will take you on an Island wide route covering the main points of interest. They’ll briefly commentate on the early island and people’s history as well as the current day environment. Refreshments are provided.

Option: Convict Settlement Tour

Want to learn all about Norfolk Islands Convict History? Join us on an in-depth tour of

the World Heritage Listed Georgian settlement of Kingston. This whole area is a living showcase of Polynesian, convict and Pitcairn Islander history. We take you through the cemetery, where you will hear the history of the colonial headstones, as well as the old houses along Quality Row. You will also walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill - all of which has to be seen to be believed. Trust us - the only way to truly experience the incredible history of Norfolk Island, is to see it for yourself.

This area is known as Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area.

Experience the history and culture of the Pitcairn Settlers. Learn the colourful history of Norfolk Island’s most recent settlement -the Pitcairners and their descendants, on one of the only remaining settler’s properties. View the magnificent homestead and gardens, including many of the traditional crops. Ride in Norfolk’s first tour coach, view a film, visit a blacksmith’s forge, a WWII Army hut and Museum of Memorabilia. Approx. 2.5 hrs, includes light refreshments.

Option: Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama

Based on an art form made popular in the 1800’s, the Cyclorama is one of Norfolk’s most popular attractions. Here’s a few reasons to add this one to your Norfolk Island itinerary. Firstly, it brings to life the history of the Bounty mutiny and the Norfolk Island people. Secondly, it is one of only a small number of paintings of this type in the world. The stunning 360° panoramic painting surrounds you with impressive and realistic artwork. Above all, the Cyclorama has won multiple Tourism Awards and comes highly ranked on TripAdvisor. It really is an amazing experience with the ‘wow’ factor!

Norfolk Island Tours – 8 Day Discovery Tour

All Norfolk Island tours are magical, but this Discovery tour package is extra special and can be taken at any time during the year!  This independent tour departs from Sydney direct on Monday, Friday and Sunday and Brisbane direct on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Today you depart from the Sydney/Brisbane International Terminal on your flight to Norfolk Island.

Upon arrival Pinetree Tours will meet you at Norfolk Island Airport and transfer you to your accommodation.

6.30pm        Ghost Tour

A fascinating evening of interactive theatre, intrigue & mystery.  This entertaining play, examining the possible last movements and final whereabouts of the famous mutineer, Fletcher Christian, is dramatically acted out by a 6 character cast over a sumptuous 3 course dinner.

8.30am     Island Orientation Tour

This is a must for all visitors to Norfolk, visit Historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge & much more.

See & hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches & golf course, the renowned Melanesian Chapel, local Government, laws & lifestyle.

Enjoy views from scenic spots on this full commentary conducted tour.

Experience the proud history of the Pitcairn Island Settlers. Your guided tour will include: the gracious original Bailey homestead & gardens with stroll through the barn, dairy and out-buildings; Museum filled with items of nostalgic and historic interest; the oldest working forge in the Pacific; ex New Zealand Army hut, with war-time memorabilia; An exclusive film of Norfolk Island interest. 8.30am        Over the Cattlestops

To get a real insight into the lifestyle on Norfolk Island, you need to meet our people and see our industries in action.

On this day tour, you will visit a few of the locally owned businesses that make up our industries. Norfolk Island has a huge amount of small businesses making different local products that we are able to see – and maybe have a taste of! You will also enjoy morning tea at a beautiful scenic location.

4.45pm        Island Fish Fry

Enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread and fresh fried fish, followed by Island desserts and tea / coffee.

Watch the sunset from Norfolk’s beautiful western coastline.

6.00pm        Progressive Dinner To Island Homes

Enjoy a 3 course meal progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes.   A fun night and a great way to meet the local people, & sample some of the Island dishes.

7.30am        Breakfast Bushwalk

Make your choice of a stroll through Hundred Acres Reserve or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk through Mt. Bates to Captain Cook monument. At the end of the walks we meet on the cliff-top for a delicious breakfast barbeque.

1.00pm        Convict Settlement Tour

Join us on an in-depth tour of the historic Georgian settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery & hear the history of interesting convict & colonial headstones, hear stories of the houses along quality row. Walk through the ruins of the new goal, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill.  Afternoon tea included.

5.45pm        Night As A Convict

A fun night out for all ages, dress as a convict & join with the commandant for an evening of feasting & singing. Great food, great fun (outfit supplied).

*This is the most popular feature dinner on Norfolk.

7.15pm    Sound & Light Show

Nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the convict settlement.

The stillness and the stars are there just as they were before mankind arrived in 1788. However, with the dramatic use of real life sounds,  theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as Pinetree Tours takes you through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era.
