2. For Mysore trips, Chamundi Hills will not be covered on Friday’s during the month of Ashada only. Mysore Zoo will be closed on every Tuesday. Please note: For Trip code MSS, during Special Pooja Days in Dussehra, will not be possible to enter Chamundi Hills and Palace.
3. All Passengers shall produce the Identity Proof compulsory for the TPT and TKT Trips (Any of the ID proof like, Voter ID (For Resident Indians Only) / Passport / Driving License / PAN Card (For Resident Indians only) / Photo Credit Card / Employers ID card with Photo) Dress Code for Tirupathi – Men: Dhoti and Shirt, Women: Chudidar along with Duppatta or Saree.
4. Only extra Mattress will be provided to the third person in triple sharing accommodation.
5. Tours like Thirupathi, Jog Falls and South Canara, 4 people will be allotted a room for freshening up.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PACKAGE TOUR:

1.The Corporation undertakes no liability in case of cancellation of trips due to breakdown or for reasons beyond the control of the management. However, proportionate refund of fare will be allowed in case of no alternate arrangement is made. During the course of operation of tour, if any sightseeing places are missed on account of sudden unforeseen happenings, the KSTDC is not responsible.
2.Incase of any issues related to booking of ticktes, preponement/postponement of tickets or cancellation of tickets kindly send the mail to [email protected]
3.Tickets are not transferable.
4.Management is not responsible for luggage/baggage and Personal belongings of the tourists.
5.Tourists are requested to take personal care about their Luggage/Belongings.
6.The management reserves the right to cancel the trip in case the numbers of seats booked are less than 12 and for any such other reasons.
7.The ticket is valid for the particular journey to which it is issued.
8.Children above the age of 5 years will be charged full fare. No seats will be given to children below 5 years. (Age proof Required)
9.Passengers are requested to report 15 minutes in advance. The bus will not wait for passenger who arrives late.
10.Smoking and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited in the coach.
11.Purchasing articles from other than Govt. shops is at their own risk.
12.The Corporation shall neither be responsible nor refund the amount in case the tourists miss the bus on account of late reporting to the pickup point.
13.Tipping the staff including the Guide is strictly prohibited. They are paid by KSTDC except for BHS trip.
14.Pets and Animals not allowed inside the bus while on Journey.
15.The management has all the right to make the passengers to get down from the bus, who are travelling on invalid tickets, disturbing the co-passengers & drunken passengers, without any refund.
16.No postponement of journey will be made within 24 hours. There is no refund on cancellation of one time Preponed/Postponed ticket.
17.Tariff is subject to change without notice.
18.Accommodation is subject to availability of the rooms and they are subject to change without prior notice.
19.Senior Citizens are provided with 20% discount on transportation by default while booking ticket. Hence they must produce valid proof.
20.The management shall not be liable for third party suppliers including arrangements with accommodation providers, activity providers and local guides and other independent parties (Third party suppliers) to provide you with some or all the components of your bookings.
21.The management shall not be liable and will not assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointed, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, resulting from the act or omission of any party other than Tour Operator and its employees.
22.The management resources all the right to update or alter their terms and condition at any time, and will post the amended terms and condition in the tour package.
24.The package tour tariff includes only accommodation and transportation costs, the other charges like food, entrance tickets, etc.. should be borne by tourists themselves.

Rules for Cancellation

Cancellation from the proposed time of departure before 48 hours – 10% – before 24 hrs. – 25% deducted. within 24 hrs. – No refund or cancellation

Special Terms and Condition for Tirupathi Packages

Piligrims are mandatory to produce either the vaccination certificate(2doses) or Covid-19 negative certificate obtained with in 73hrs prior to date of darshan at the time of availing special entry darshan.
Piligrims to be noted that due to the new guidelines imposed from Tirupathi Tirumala Darshana there will be no cancellations or any modifications allowed before 7 days of departure.
Piligrims to be noted that the data of the tickets booked for Tirupathi darshana is pushed to Tirumala Tirupathi Devastham(TTD) server 7 days in advance before the date of journey, there will be no any modifcations/ cancellations allowed for any unforeseen circumstances (like sudden death of family member, any accidentalissues , etc..)
Rule of Cancellation : Cancellation from the proposed date before 7 days of departure10% cancellation charges is applicable. No cancellations or any modifications allowed before 7 days of departure.
Cancellation from the proposed date before 7 days of departure at 10pm, cancellation charges of 10% would applicable as per cancellation policy.

2.Incase DASARA Lighting Illumination is not available during the service through AMBAARI, KSTDC would not be responsible.
3. The trip is operated during the rain as well.
4. Ticket once booked cannot be cancelled or postponed.
5. The arrival and departure time depends on the traffic.
6. Publics are not allowed to park in the premises of KSTDC Mayura Hoysala.
7. Passengers must report to the boarding point 30 mins before the departure.
8. Passengers needs to carry valid ID cards and tickets during the trip.
9. The trip route might be changed incase of any restrictions imposed by the Police.
10. Children above 5 years are will be fully charged.

The house of Karnataka’s State legislative assembly, “The Vidhana Soudha” and the centre of Justice of the city, “The Attara Kacheri ” are two monumental buildings standing right in the heart of the City. The Neo Dravidian style Vidhana Soudha constructed using only pure Granite, and Porphyry is an architectural genius of Sri Kengal Hanumantaiah, the second Chief Minister of the state of Karnataka. This magnificent building houses a central dome sixty feet in diameter supported by eight huge pillars and is breathtakingly amazing when it is fully illuminated.

You climb vertically up the rugged rock walls, which makes the difficult climbs challenging. Travellers may train their binoculars on the amazing Asian Paradise Flycatchers, Bulbuls, Blue Capped Rock Thrush, Tawny Eagles, Puff-Throated Babblers, etc., in the region, which also gives visitors peaceful surroundings, a rich history, and lovely views.

6. nandi hills – 61 kms.

Small hillocks near Bangalore are referred to as Nandi Hills or Nandidurga. It served as Tipu Sultan’s vacation destination. This hill town enjoys a lovely environment all year, making it one of the best day trips near Bangalore.

The Cholas constructed the Yoganandeeshwara Temple, where Shiva resides on the hills. These hills are known for their unusual vegetation. There are more native species than Coffee Arabica. About 8 kilometres long and taking 4-5 hours to finish from the base is the Skandagiri trek. The track must be followed as it is designated to prevent any accidents. 11. hogenakkal falls – 127 kms.

Due to the unusual configuration of the enormous carbonated rocks surrounding the waterfall, it is known as Hogenakkal, or “Smoky Rocks”. You will be fascinated by the sight of the River Kaveri dividing into several little streams and cascading from various heights ranging from 15 feet to 66 feet! How the water gushes down over enormous boulders at Hogenakkal Waterfall resembles the well-known Niagara Falls.

Water from the Hogenakkal waterfalls cascades through herb-filled woodlands. Locals claim that the waterfall has healing properties and that bathing there after a satisfying oil massage may positively affect one’s health. It’s also said that a dip in the waterfall pool cleanses one of the sins.

Coracle (basket-shaped boat) rides are among the most well-liked activities on the river during the dry season, when it is calm and safe. Another choice is to walk through luscious vegetation and a labyrinth of rocks to reach the falls. The hike is beginner-friendly and simple. 1. Skandagiri

A stunning spot famous for night trekking, Skandagiri is a picturesque hill located approximately 61 kilometers from Bangalore. Known as Kalavara Durga by the locals, Skandagiri lets you witness the tranquillity of the sun at dawn. The trek has two routes to reach the hilltop. The ruins of the ancient Tipu Sultan's fort rest at the mountain peak.

4. Savandurga Hills

If you have some prior experience in trekking, Savandurga (or Fort of death) offers the thrill you are longing for. The challenging trekking trails and the sheer height of Savandurga make it a paradise for trekkers and rock climbers. Listed amongst the large monolith hills in Asia, Savandurga attracts tourists from all over the world.

Comprising two hills - the Billigudda and the Karigudda, Savandurga is a famous pilgrimage spot as well. The white hill or Billigudda is more challenging than the black hill – Karigudda. So, if you are a beginner, Karigudda is going to be relatively easier for you. The bare rock with small boulders at Billigudda gets intense as you move forward.

The view of the Arkavati River, the Manchanabele Dam and the lush green forests make the trail even more beautiful and exciting, as you gain height. The Mantapa of Nandi - the mount of Lord Shiva, marks the end of the trek at the hilltop. The terrain is mostly granite, so it is better to start the trek early and try it during the winter period.

Although it is home to several migratory birds, it owes its name to the "Painted Stork" that is known as "Kokkare" in the Kannada language. The near threatened “spot-billed pelicans” are other popular inhabitants here.

Usually known as Kokrebellur by the natives, this bird sanctuary is home to Black Ibis, Little Cormorant, Black-Crowned Night Heron, Grey Heron, and Indian Pond Heron. Every year, the birds use the same trees to nest in pairs of 15 to 20 per tree. The spot-billed pelicans are considered to be the harbingers of good luck and prosperity to the locals. This road trip from Bangalore to Mysore will allow you to dive into the culture and vibe of Karnataka.

The distance between the two is approximately 150 km and it will take us less than 4 hours to reach our destination via Mysore Road. In between, one can experience small towns, temples and some of the most scenic landscapes that the state has to offer.

Our first place of interest in Mysore would the Srirangapatna Fort which is surrounded by river Kaveri on one side. It is famous for housing a temple, a mosque and two dungeons. Next, we would visit the Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple which is located within the premise of the Srirangapatna Fort. After paying our respects here, we will visit Tippu's Summer Palace which is famous for its Indo Islamic architecture and in particular for the walls done with floral motifs.

Next on our itinerary would be the Gumbuz which has the remains of the Mysore King, Tippu Sultan and his parents, Hyder Ali and Fakr-Un-Nisa. Next, we will make a visit to Chamundeshwari Temple which is a hilltop temple nestled in the Chamundi Hills and then to the very colourful Statue of Mahishasura and Nandi which is also located on the same hills.

On the top portion of the entrance of the main temple, one can find sculptures of the different forms of Lord Vishnu like Lord Narasimha, Lord Vamana, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna etc. It also has 21 detailed pillars and there are two halls, namely, the Mukhamandapa (the front hall) and a Sukhanasi (an Antechamber).

The construction of the palace began in 1778 by Hyder Ali Khan and was finished by his son Tipu Sultan by 1784.

Its majestic gates and impassable defence system are worth exploring. There are seven entrances, two of the popular ones being the Mysore Gate and the other is the Elephant Gate.

The Ranganathaswamy Temple, the Narasimhaswamy temple and the Juma mosque rest within the fort, all of which adds to the glory of the fort.

Must See : One must visit the dungeons where the bodies of the British officers( until their necks) were kept underwater for 20 hours during the battle.

Gumbuz : Built-in the Bijapur style of architecture, Gumbaz captivates everyone. The imposing structure of Gumbaz boasts of a cubical structure on an elevated platform with a huge tomb over it.

It is surrounded by a beautiful garden named as Lalbagh Garden and each side of the garden has an entrance that leads towards the mausoleum.

The outside of the Gumbaz looks like a Mini Taj Mahal with intricate carvings. It is also surrounded by 36 black granite pillars and the contrasting colours add to the aesthetics of this monument.

Must See : There are Farsi inscriptions embarked on the graves of Tipu Sultan, his parents and other relatives. One must see these graves and pay their respects to the deceased.

Chamundi Hills

Chamundi Hills : Located at the top of the Chamundi Hills, approximately 1000m above the sea level is the Chamundeshwari temple which is one of the most prominent temples in Mysore. It is dedicated to the Goddess Chamundeshwari (Chamundi), the deity of the Mysore Royal Family. It is one of the Maha Shakti Peeth, where the hair of Goddess Sati had fallen.

Statue of Mahishasura and Nandi : Gigantic and colourful statue of demon Mahishasura, located at the summit of the Chamundi hills is impossible to miss. This buffalo-demon is seen holding a cobra in his left hand and a sword on his right.

According to legends, Mahishasura who was the king of Mysore had received a boon from Lord Brahma that no ‘man’ could kill him. This made him believe that he was invincible and he continued with his barbaric behaviour against villagers. Seeing this, Goddess Shakti appeared in front of him in the form of Goddess Chamundi and slew the demon.

Located on the 700th step of the Chamundi Hills is the massive statue of Nandi Bull that allures every tourist. It has a height of 16 feet and a length of 25 feet. This statue is said to be more than 350 years old and has been built from single black granite rock.

Things To Do : Hike Down your way from the Chamundeshwari Temple to be able to witness the two statues and enjoy the view during the short trail.

Mysore Zoo : Formally known as the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysore Zoo is famed to be one of the oldest and the largest zoos in India. It is spread across 157 acres and the striking feature of this zoo is the option for one to adopt animals and other species.
