On arrival at Bangalore airport, meet our representative who will be there for your welcome and thereafter to transfer you to Kukke Subrahmanya by road. On arrival, check in at your already booked hotel and rest for a while. Thereafter, be ready to pay a visit to the main temple of Subrahmanya. Afterwards, we will be visiting Adi Subrahmanya Temple. In the evening, we will return back to the hotel for dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Kukke Subrahmanya is a popular holy place that is surrounded by lush green forest alongside hills. It nestled on the bank of the Kumaradhara River, the main temple of Subrahmanya lies in Kukke. It is devoted to Lord Subrahmanya and the Snake God Vasuki. This temple is acknowledged for religious rituals pertaining to snake god.

Kukke Subrahmanya - Dharmasthala – Mangalore

In the morning after breakfast, we will check out from the hotel in Kukke Subrahmanya and drive to Mangalore. En-route, we will stop at Dharmasthala, which is about 60 kms away and is counted among a famous Hindu pilgrim centre. Here, we will explore the Manjunathaswamy Temple, one of the major attractions of Dharmasthala. Thereafter, we will visit Rathnagiri to explore the statue of Bhagawan Bahubali or Gommateshwara and Sri Rama Kshetra located on the bank of Nethravathi River. Afterwards, we will proceed to our final destination i.e. Mangalore. On reaching, check in at the hotel and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay.

Dharmasthala is a well acknowledged town lies on the banks of the Nethravathi River in the Belthangadi taluk of the Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka state of India. It is known for its Dharmasthala Temple that houses the shrine of Shiva, Ammanavaru, Manjunatha, Chandranath and the Dharma Daivas (guardian spirits of Dharma) namely Kalarkayi, Kalarahu, Kanyakumari and Kumaraswamy. The poojas in the temple are conducted by Hindu priests of Madhva; however, the temple is run by a Jain administration.

Mangalore - Udupi

After breakfast in the morning, we will leave for the local sightseeing of Mangalore and explore its ancient temples. We will start our day tour by paying a visit to Kadri Manjunatha Temple. Thereafter, we will head towards the Mangaladevi Temple, Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple, and famous Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple. After witnessing the local temples of Mangalore, we will pay a visit to Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple, which is about 20 kms away and nestled on the bank of Nandini River. If time permits, we will also visit Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple which comes on the way to kateel. Afterwards, we will proceed to Udupi. On arrival, check in at the hotel. In the evening, we will visit the Malpe beach and have stunning views of the Sun set. Enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel in Udupi.

Mangalore also known as Mangaluru is the chief port city of the Karnataka. It is known as Kudla in Tulu, Maikala in Beary Bashe, Kodial in Konkani and Mangalapuram in Malayalam. It is situated about 371 kms in the west of the state capital, Bangalore between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghat mountain ranges.

Udupi is a city located in the southwest of Karnataka. It is the headquarters of Udupi District and is popular for the Krishna Temple. It is also known as Lord Parasurama Kshetra, and is famous for Kanakana Kindi. Other major attractions of Udupi are Shivalli (Shivabelli) and Rajata Peetha, popular pilgrim centers.

Udupi - Murudeshwar - Idagunji – Gokarna

Today, we will start our day a bit early in the morning and pay a visit to the Udupi Krishna Temple, a renowned Sri Krishna Temple in the area. Also, we will the Chandramouleshwara Temple and Anantheshwara temple. Afterwards, we will return back to the hotel for breakfast. After finishing with the breakfast served at the hotel, we will check out and head towards Murudeshwara, which is about 103 Km away. On the way, we will visit the Anegudde Vinayaka Temple.

Murudeshwara is a town lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea. It is famous for its beach and temple that attract visitors from across the globe. Murudeshwara has second tallest Shiva statue in the world. It is also known for its 20 storied Gopura, which is about 237.5 feet and is built at the temple.

Afterwards, we will head towards Gokarna, which is about 78 kms away from the town. En-route, we will pay a visit to the well known Ganapathi Temple at Idagunji. On reaching Gokarna, check in at the hotel and take pleasure of a comfortable overnight stay.

Gokarna – Sirsi

After an early morning bath, we will pay a visit to one of the famous temples of Gokarna i.e. Mahabaleshwara Temple, a holy pilgrimage site amongst Hindu devotes. We will also visit the Ganapathi Temple and Tamra Gowri Temple. Thereafter, we will return back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we will leave to visit Sirsi, which is about 84 kms away. On arrival, check in at your already booked hotel. After rest for some time, we will visit Sahasralinga, which is about 17 kms away. It is a stunning location in Western Ghats where hundreds of Lingas are carved in stone in Shalmala River in North Canara. If have time in hand, we will also visit Sri Madhukeshwara Temple or Sonda Vadiraja Mutt at Banavasi.

In the evening, we will visit Goddess Marikamba Temple at Sirsi, which is built back in 16th century. It is listed among one of the major attractions of Sirsi and a significant worship place in Karnataka. The temple houses a big idol of Goddess that is approximately seven feet tall. Afterwards, we will visit Shri Gopalakrishna Temple and Maha Ganapathi temple located nearby Marikamba Temple. Enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel in Sirsi.

Sirsi - Jog Falls - Sigandur – Kollur

In the morning after breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and leave for Jog Falls, which is about 63 kms away and counted among one of the major tourist places in Karnataka known for its abundant natural beauty. It is India's second-highest waterfall and also named as Jogada Gundi and Gersoppa Falls.

Afterwards, we will head towards our next destination i.e. Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple, which is situated near river Sharavathi. Surrounded with green areas all across, this temple is unique in itself. It is the temple of Goddess which is self evident and is very powerful.

Thereafter, we will proceed for our final destination for the day i.e. Kollur, which is about 48 kms away. It lies at the foot of the Western Ghats and known for housing an ancient temple devoted to Goddess Mookambika. On reaching, check in at the hotel and pay a visit to the famous Mookambika Temple. It is said that the panchaloha image of the goddess on Shri Chakra is deified by Shri Adi Shankaracharya. Enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel in Kollur.

Kollur - Sringeri - Horanadu

After morning breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and leave for Sringeri, which is about 110 kms away. On the way, one can enjoy capturing the scenic views of Agumbe Ghat. At Sringeri, we will explore its two beautiful temples including Vidya Shankara Temple and Sri Sharadamba Temple. Thereafter, we will proceed to Horanadu, which is about 80 kms away. Take pleasure of an overnight stay in the hotel in Horanadu.

Sringeri is situated on the banks of Tunga River. It is the site of the first mutt established by Adi Shankaracharya and is listed among the main attractions of Sringeri. The place is blessed with two ancient temples named Sri Sharadamba Temple and Vidya Shankara Temple that is visited by thousands of Hindu devotees from across the country and the world. Out of the two temples, the Vidyashankara temple is an architectural marvel.

Horanadu is a place of captivating natural landscape in Chikmagalur district. It has an ancient temple of the goddess Annapoorneshwari that has been restored and renamed as the Adi - Shaktyatmaka Shree Annapoorneshwari. The main divinity of Annapoorneshwari is made of gold. It is believed that a person who seeks the blessings of Goddess would never have any lack for food in life.

Horanadu - Kalasa - Belur - Halebidu – Bangalore

On our last day, we will have breakfast in the morning and leave from Horanadu to reach Bangalore, which is about 320 kms. On the way, we will visit the Kalaseshwara Temple at Kalasa. On arrival at Bangalore, get transferred to the airport / railway station to catch flight or board train for onward journey.

In cities where the categories are not available the lower category will be provided and rates have been taken in our costings for the lower categories. You can choose from some of our most popular readymade programs or we can tailor a program just to suit your specific requirements. Alternatively, when you tailor your own tour, you can begin and end your journey from any City you choose within India. This is a very exclusive way of discovering India. You have the choice of touring in a Sedan Car for up to 2 to 3 pax or in a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) for 3-5 Pax. Our Experienced Chauffeurs will take care of all your needs for the duration of the tour. All Sightseeing Tours are on a Private Basis. We can provide you an English Speaking Guide or any other language that you may require for all your Guided Tours at additional cost upon request. Your Chauffeurs will offer you the greatest degree of flexibility, as he will be able to accommodate your needs and changes to your schedule even on short notice. Dakshina Kannada Tour itinerary

Day 01: Bangalore – Hassan (200Kms / 3.5Hrs)

Pickup from Bangalore Airport/ Railway Station/ Bus Stand and drive to Hassan, on the way have breakfast at hotel Druvatare , check into the hotel, Leisure. Afternoon visit to Belavadi Temple , Belur , Halebidu , Shettihalli Church were hot tea and snacks will be served and return to the hotel. Cultural evening followed by Dinner on direct basis (Authentic Malnad Dinner) (Bonfire depending on the weather condition). Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Hassan – Mangalore by Train (Vistadome Coach)

Next day early morning village experience. Followed by breakfast checkout, drop to Hassan Railway station to board Vistadome Coachto experience the beauty of Flora and Fauna of the western Ghats, breathtaking glimpses of Mountains, Waterfalls, Valleys and Greenery. Day 01 : Bangalore – Kukke Subrahmanya

Our representative will pick up you from Bangalore and drive to Kukke Subramanya, a popular religious destination which is surrounded by lush green forest along with hills. It is situated on the banks of the Kumaradhara River. On arrival at Kukke Subrahmanya, check in to the hotel after some time, visit to the temples at Kukke Subramanya, first visit Adi Subrahmanya, great Valmmika (anthill) in the sanctum, then visit main temple of Lord Subrahmanya that is dedicated to the Snake God Vasuki and Lord Subrahmanya. The temple is famous for religious rituals pertaining to snake god, in the temple you can visit other small shrines like Uma Maheshwara Temple, Samputa Narasimha Temple, Hosaligamma and Kukke Lingas. Then visit Kashikatte Ganapathi Temple, a very ancient and Ganapathi idol installed by sage Narada and Kukke Shree Abhaya Mahaganapathi, one of the biggest monolithic statues of Ganapathi. It is 21 feet tall and the architecture of the shrine is in Nepali style. Return to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 : Kukke Subrahmanya – Dharmasthala – Kateel – Udupi

Morning, checkout the hotel and drive to Sauthadka Ganapathi Kshetra, a place dedicated to Vana Mahaganapathi (without any temple structure) and it is surrounded by scenic beauty. There is no restriction for worshiping god anytime, then proceed to Dharmasthala, the holy abode for Hindu’s. On arrival at Dharmasthala, visit to the Lord Manjunathaswamy Temple, the main attraction of Dharmasthala and have a darshan of Lord Manjunatha (Shiva). After visiting these temples drive to Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple, located on the banks of River Nandini. Get the divine blessings of Goddess Durgaparameshwari Temple and proceed to Udupi, a temple town and one of important Mukti stalas of Karnataka. On arrival at Udupi, check in to the Hotel. Visit to the world famous Sri Krishna Temple and then visit nearby Anantheshwara temple and Chandramouleshwara Temple. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 03 : Udupi – Gokarna

Morning, after breakfast, check out the hotel and visit to Kadiyali Mahisha Mardhini Temple and visit Ambalapady Janardhana & Mahakali Temple at Udupi. Then proceed to Saligrama Narasimhaswami Temple and Anegudde Ganapathi temple. Then drive to Gokarna. Gokarna located in the Uttara Kannada district. Gokarna is one of the important pilgrimage centers of Karnataka and also known as siddhi kshetra and one of the seven mukti kshetras of Karnataka. It is equally importance like Kashi and Rameshwaram. The temple at Gokarna is dedicated to Lord Mahabaleshwara (Lord Shiva) and it is believed that the temple houses the original image of Shiva Linga (also called as Atmalinga). Legend says that the holy Linga was given by Lord Shiva to King Ravana to make his kingdom an invincible fortress. On arrival at Gokarna, check in to the hotel. Evening visit to the nearest beach to view the spectacular sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04 : Gokarna – Murudeshwara – Sringeri

Early morning at 6.30 AM, proceed to Gokarna Ganapathi Temple – with small wound on the head of the statue and it was hit by demon king Ravana. Then visit main temple Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple, a sacred pilgrimage site amongst Indian Places. The Mahabaleshwar temple enshrines the Atma Linga of Lord Shiva. Then proceed to visit Tamra Gowri Temple and return to the Hotel. After Breakfast, check out the hotel. Then proceed to Murudeshwara. Murudeshwara beach town lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea and is also famous for the Murudeshwara Temple. The main attraction of this place is world’s second – tallest Shiva statue and 20 storied Gopura (237.5 feet) is constructed at the temple. Visit Shiva statue and Lord Murudeshwara Temple, built on the Kanduka Hill which is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea. Then proceed to Sringeri. Overnight stay at Sringeri.

Day 5: Sringeri – Horanadu – Bangalore

Sringeri is located on the banks of river Tunga and it is the site of the first mutt established by Adi Shankaracharya. The main attraction of Sringeri is Sri Sharadamba Temple and Vidya Shankara Temple. The Vidyashankara temple is an architectural marvel. After visiting temples at Sringeri, drive to Horanadu. Horanadu is a place of enchanting natural landscape in Chikmagalur district, ancient temple of the goddess Annapoorneshwari here has been restored and renamed the Adhishakthyathmaka Shree Annapoorneshwari. The main deity of Annapoorneshwari is made of gold. It is said that a person who seeks the blessings of Goddess would never have any scarcity for food in life. On arrival at Horanadu, visit Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple, offer your prayers. Then drive to Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore, you will be transferred to Bangalore and drop at a designated point in Bangalore. It is considered among the oldest in the Tulu Nadu region. -  Anegudde Vinayaka Temple:  Anegudde is also popularly called as Kumbashi, a name said to be derived from demon Kumbhasura. The temple at Anegudde is dedicated to Lord Vinayaka or Lord Ganesha. - Mahabaleshwara Temple: One amongst the most visited temples, Mahabaleshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Hindu epics of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata can be found here. -  Tamra Gowri Temple: Nestled inside the complex of Mahabaleshwar Temple in Gokarna, Tamra Gowri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Gauri or Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. Tamra Kund is a sacred pond opposite to the temple. -  Sri Madhukeshwara Temple: Getting its name from the honey-hued Shiva Lingam inside the sanctum, Sri Madhukeshwara Temple dates back to the 9th century and is one of oldest temples in Karnataka. -  Jog Falls: A waterfall on the Sharavathi river located in the Western Ghats, Jog Falls is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India. Raja, Rani, Roarer and Rocket are the four cascades that plunge from a height of 829 feet. -  Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple: Home of Goddess Chowdeshwari who is also referred to as Sigandur Chowdeshwari, Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple's idol is prayed and worshipped by devotees to bless them with peace and prosperity. -  Goddess Mookambika Temple: A Hindu temple dedicated to the Mother Goddess known as Mookambika Devi. It is situated in the foothills of Kodachadri hills and is believed to be created by sage Parashurama. -  Sri Sharadamba Temple: A famous Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Saraswati, Sri Sharadamba Temple is an 8th-century temple founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. -  Kalaseshwara Temple: After praying and worshipping with sacred flowers and payasam milk, God Para Siva became happy and appeared in front of Sage Agastya. Karnataka Temple Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - bangalore to kukke subrahmanya | visit main temple of subrahmanya.

Day 1 of Karnataka temple tour will start by picking you up from Bangalore and get ready to be transferred to Kukke Subrahmanya.

Check-in to the hotel and freshen up.

After you have rested for a while we will move towards the main temple of Subrahmanya.

Later we will pay a visit to the Adi Subrahmanya Temple. Lord Brahma requested Lord Subrahmanya to allow him to make this site his home according to the mythology. Later Lord Yama cursed this site and it lost its significance.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 - Kukke Subrahmanya to Dharmasthala to Mangalore | View Manjunathaswamy Temple

Check-out from the hotel after breakfast.

Today, we will drive to Mangalore. En-route, we will be stopping at Dharamshala and exploring the place.

We will be paying a visit to the Manjunathaswamy Temple. Here, we will pray to the deity and view the years old temple.

Later, we will be visiting Ratnagiri and viewing the statue of Bhagawan Bahubali and Sri Rama Kshetra.

Bahubali Statue is a breathtaking monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali and is a figure known for his Strength, Power and Intellect.

Upon reaching Mangalore, we will check-in and enjoy our overnight stay there.

Day 3 - Mangalore to Udupi | Visit Kadri Manjunatha Temple, Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple

We would be visiting the temples of Mangalore today after the morning breakfast as per the Karnataka temple tour.

The first temple we will be visiting is Kadri Manjunatha Temple.

Later, we will be exploring Mangaladevi Temple, Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple, and Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple.

Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra is also known as Gokarnanatheshwara Temple. Consecrated by Narayana Guru, the temple is dedicated to Gokarnanatha, a form of Lord Shiva.

A visit to Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple and Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple is next in the list.

Malpe beach visit is planned in the evening. It is one of the unexplored beaches in India where you can relax by the shore and enjoy the sound of water.

We would be travelling back to Mangalore and enjoying our overnight stay in a hotel there.

Day 4 - Udupi to Murudeshwar to Idagunji to Gokarna | Visit Udupi Krishna Temple, Chandramouleshwara Temple

Early in the morning, we will start our journey towards the Udupi Krishna Temple.

Dedicated to Lord Krishna, the temple is considered as one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Southern India.

Chandramouleshwara Temple and Anantheshwara temple will be visited next on this day.

After breakfast in the hotel, we will check-out and head towards Murudeshwara.

We will be visiting Anegudde Vinayaka Temple on the way. The Lord Vinayaka here is said to fulfil all the wishes of his devotees.

Murudeshwar is the next town to visit. Here we will view the breathtaking effigy of Lord Shiva.

Ganapathi Temple at Idagunji will be visited en-route Gokarna.

Overnight stay at hotel in Gokarna.

Day 5 - Gokarna to Sirsi | Visit Mahabaleshwara Temple, Tamra Gowri Temple

Today's morning will start with the visit to the Mahabaleshwara Temple. It is one of the famous temples in Gokarna.

Next, we will be paying a visit to the Ganapathi Temple and Tamra Gowri Temple.

After having breakfast in the hotel, we will head towards Sirsi.

After resting in the Sirsi hotel we will start the journey towards Sahasralinga.

A location where hundreds of Lingas are carved in stone in Shalmala River nestling in the Western Ghats.

Goddess Marikamba Temple at Sirsi will be visited in the evening. The temple was built in the 16th century and is one of the places you cannot miss visiting.

After visiting the Shri Gopalakrishna Temple and Maha Ganapathi temple, we will move back to the hotel.

Overnight stay at the hotel after coming back to Gokarna from Sirsi.

Day 6 - Sirsi to Sigandur to Kollur | Visit Jog Falls, Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple

After breakfast on day 6 of Karnataka temple tour, we will head towards exploring India's second-highest waterfall nestling in the natural beauty, Jog Falls. It is also known by the name of Jogada Gundi and Gersoppa Falls.

Situated near the river Sharavathi, Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple is our next destination. It is surrounded by lush green beauty and is the temple of self-evident and is very powerful Goddess.

Goddess Mookambika's Temple lying in the foot of the Western Ghats is next. It is said that Shri Adi Shankaracharya deified the panchaloha image of the goddess on Shri Chakra.

Day 7 - Kollur to Sringeri to Horanadu | Visit Vidya Shankara Temple, Sri Sharadamba Temple

After breakfast and checking-out of the hotel, we will drive towards Sringeri.

On the way, find an opportunity to view the beauty of Agumbe Ghat. Western Ghats mountains and lush rainforest circumscribe Agumbe Ghat making it a beautiful place to marvel at.

We will visit Vidya Shankara Temple and Sri Sharadamba Temple here.

Sri Sharadamba Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Saraswati and is an 8th-century temple, founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Horanadu.

Day 8 - Horanadu to Kalasa to Belur to Halebidu | Visit Kalaseshwara Temple | Back To Bangalore

After breakfast on this day of the tour, we will head towards Bangalore from Horanadu.

En-route, at Kalasa, we will visit the Kalaseshwara Temple.

The chief attraction in Kalasa, Kalaseshwara Temple is a must-visit.

Pick up from Bangalore at 6 AM from Railway Station / Bus Station and proceed to Srirangapatna. Visit to ancient Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and then proceed to Nimishamba Temple where Goddess Nimishamba is manifested along with the sacred Shri Chakra and are seated at the confluence of the holy rivers Kaveri and Lokapavani. There is a belief that Sri Nimishamba is going to remove all the problems and troubles of her devotees within a minute. (Nimisha means a minute). Mysore Chamundeshwari TempleThen proceed to Chamundi Hills at Mysore. The hill is famous for Chamundi Temple. The temple has a beautiful idol of the goddess. The 16th century Marikamba temple in Sirsi is main attraction of Sirsi and it is one of the important seats of shakti worship in Karnataka. • There are 8 mathas on the temple premises; Adamaru Matha, Pejawara Matha, Palimaru Matha, Puthige Math, Shiroor Matha, Kaniyooru Matha, Krishnapura Matha, and Sode Matha.
• Sri Madhwacharya constructed the Krishna temple Udupi and the Astha Matha (monastery) in the 13th century.
• Sri Madhwacharya also found the idol of Lord Krishna, which is now installed in the Udupi temple and is visited by thousands of people daily.
• Devotees cannot see the entire idol of Lord Krishna, but they can see him through a silver-plated nine-holed window.
• The idol is placed facing the west direction whereas usually the
• Lord Krishna is worshipped 14 times daily by the purohits and acharya so 14 poojas are performed daily. Certain rituals are performed before sunrise while the rest continue after sunset.
• The temple has three chariots; Brahma Ratha (the largest chariot), Garuda Rathe (a medium-sized chariot), and Chikha Ratha (the smallest chariot).
• The temple offers free meals to its devotees every day at lunchtime time which is also the prasadam of the temple.
• Every two years, Paryaya occurs, during which the present administration duties are transferred to another matha. The Swami of that matha performs the main duties.

2. Krishna Temple History

The history of the Krishna temple Udupi is an enthralling one that every devotee should know. One day, Lord Krishna’s ardent worshipper, Kanakadasa, went to the temple to pray to Lord Krishna. He was barred from entering the temple premises as he was from a lower caste. While this may have scorned a normal devotee, Kanakadasa saw it as an opportunity to worship Lord Krishna with more faith and determination. He sat and started to pray intensely outside the temple to God. He sat outside the temple facing the idol’s back.

Kanakadasa’s unwavering devotion impressed Lord Krishna, and the idol turned back to face in the direction where his worshipper was praying. This led to a small portion of the wall between God and his devotee Kanakadasa breaking suddenly forming some holes. When this happened, the devotee was taken aback and rendered speechless as he focused on Lord Krishna’s idol, who turned to face him. Even today, devotees worship God through the same location; from the holes. It is called the Kanakanakindi, which translates to Kanaka’s window and is also referred to as Navagraha Kitiki.

3. Krishna Temple Idol’s Story

The Krishna temple story is interesting. One day, Sri Madhwacharya composed a 12-part poem centred around Lord Krishna as he went to the beach. He spotted a ship stuck in the sand and helped free it with his powers. When the captain asked him what he wanted in return, Sri Madhwacharya said the gopichandana clay on the vessel was all he wanted. It suddenly broke when Sri Madhwacharya’s disciples began to carry the clay. Then, it was revealed that Lord Balakrishna’s idol was inside the clay. Sri Madhwacharya then decided to enshrine the idol in Sri Krishna Matha.

4. Krishna Temple Timings

The Krishna temple Udupi timings are as follows: The temple opens at 4:30 a.m. for the people in the maths, but for devotees, it opens at 5 a.m. onwards. The temple closes at 10 p.m. every day after completing all the pooja rituals. During festivals, the timings may differ, and you can contact the temple authority of Sri Krishna Temple to know the specific timings during those days.

5. Udupi Krishna Temple Dress Code

The Udupi Krishna temple dress code suggests that men and women must care about how they dress before entering the divine temple of Lord Krishna. Women should wear traditional attire such as a saree blouse, salwar kameez with dupatta, ethnic langa (long skirt and blouse), or davani (half-saree). Ideally, Men should wear panche (dhoti) without a vest, t-shirt, or shirt. While the dress code rules are not enforced, they are recommended during special pooja days and festivals.

You can also travel by road using your vehicle or government or private buses. You can find several buses that will take you directly from Mangalore to Udupi. If you are in the Udupi city centre, you can walk and reach the Krishna Temple.
