Swimming, horse riding, boat riding, photographing etc. were very charming. We enjoyed everything very much. The most attractive thing was to see the sunset. After seeing sunset, we went to Cox’s Bazar town in the evening. We visited many tourists’ spots and gathered much knowledge. We returned home after three days. It was really a memorable study tour.

Model Answer 1:

Up and until I took a study tour to the University of Dhaka, the largest public university of my country, Bangladesh, the thought of having a study tour never really interested me that much. Today, I would like to talk about this study tour in a bit more details, which I undertook as a high school student about 12 years ago from now.

But, the University of Dhaka was quite far away from where I used to live at that time. So, when our school supervisor made an announcement to us that we were going to the University of Dhaka for a study tour, I didn’t really take the matter so seriously, simply because I had missed all the study tours prior to that one. Besides, I was more like one of those lazy high school student at that time who would rather have fun playing some kinds of video games at home instead of travelling quite some distance in order to see some “damaged palace” or some hundred years world heritage site in the middle of nowhere.

But, this time around, I couldn’t really evade it, as my parents really wanted me to join the other students in that tour because they wanted their “dull” son to become a bit more proactive and smart. So, finally, I also joined about 40 students in a large rented bus which travelled almost 150 kilometres to reach the largest and the oldest university in my country. After reaching there, I was very overwhelmed as I got to roam around such a huge campus with so many students, and so many buildings that had so much history with them.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the tour, primarily because, to begin with, it allowed me to see the countryside on our way, which was really beautiful. I enjoyed the tour, also because I and my classmates managed to take many, many pictures, and I just love taking pictures. Finally, this study tour was a very memorable one because it allowed me to see many famous places and spots at the university which I had only read about in books until then.

Sample Answer 2:

We went to visit Mount Everest a few years back as part of the study tour arranged by our college. It was the year 2011 and I was in the second year of my college at that time. Since it was in a different country (Nepal), we had to collect our visas to enter the country. From our country, we flew to the Nepal National Airport and from there we took a tour bus to reach the camping area near the Himalayas. After a few hours journey, we reached the camping area and we were very excited to be there. We were almost 30 members and four tour guides with us.

Personally, I was very much thrilled to visit the largest mountain peak and when I reached the camping area, I got awestricken. It is beyond explanation in words. The snow-covered mountain, balmy wind, the sound of nature, vast and wide area simply took my heart away. I stayed there for about a week and we did some mount hiking and fire-camping and all of those activities were really exciting and new for me. I enjoyed the nice vacation, natural scenery, companion of my classmates and friends. That was a relief from the busy city life and being close to nature. I enjoyed this tour so much that the whole week seemed like passed just like a fleeting moment. I promised to myself that, I will come back to visit the out-of-the-world place someday.

Though a 150-word paper resembles a paragraph more than a full-size essay, it can still be written according to the essay logic and structuring principles.

The picture lists the components of a 150-word essay.

Here are the main elements of this essay type you should consider.

150-Word Essay Structure

The structure of this essay type will depend on the professor’s or organization’s prompt. Suppose you’re applying to a college or want to get an internship. In that case, essays will require covering specific professional and academic skills, achievements, and ambitions. At the same time, an abstract type of writing will be highly structured, covering the topic’s background, literature, methods, and findings. However, an abstract is not regarded as an essay, so you should think of a 150-word assignment more as a brief yet logically constructed text.

You are welcome to use our free outline generator if structuring a 150-word essay causes any difficulties.

150-Word Essay Introduction

It’s important to make a relevant opening section in your essay – given the total word count of the essay, you should dedicate 10-20% to it, which translates into 30 words. Therefore, it makes sense to allocate 1-2 opening sentences to the topic’s introduction.

Try using the free research introduction maker we’ve developed to prepare an excellent introduction quickly.

150-Word Essay Conclusion

As with other essay types, you will need to make a summary of your content or formulate a call to action consistent with your essay’s purpose and structure. If it’s an application, voice a go-ahead to contact you via the contact channels enumerated in the resume. If it’s a grant application, recap all your relevant skills, expertise, and desire to make an impact.

Take a look at our concluding sentence generator to make a closing paragraph in no time.

How Many References Should I Use in a 150 Word Paper?

In most cases, such small essays will hardly have any references, as they need to present your personality and some relevant details about your academic and professional path. However, if you need to cover some references, the rule of thumb is to allocate 8-12 sources to each 1,000 words of your academic content, leaving you with 2-3 sources for this word count at most.

Make a reference list for your paper easily with our online ai citation generator .

How to Write on a Topic: Writing 150 to 200 words Examples

Writing on a topic is a part of all English proficiency tests.Writing a 150-200 word essay or paragraph on a topic in English requires effective planning, organization, and concise expression of your thoughts. Here are some tips to help you achieve this:

Understand the Topic : Before you start writing, make sure you thoroughly understand the topic or question. If it’s a complex subject, take some time to research and gather information.

Create an Outline : Outline the main points you want to cover in your essay. This will help you organize your thoughts and ensure you don’t stray off-topic.

Stick to the Word Limit : Keep a close eye on the word count. If the requirement is 150-200 words, don’t exceed it. Be concise and avoid unnecessary filler.

Introduction (10-20 words) : Start with a clear and engaging introduction that provides some context for the reader. State your main point or thesis.

Here are few examples of writing at least 150 to 200 words on a topic.

Question 1: Write at least 150 words on the following topic.

Why do you think some people like to do their own business and not work as an employee? And why some others are always looking for jobs instead of working on a business idea?Explain

Sample Answer

There are people with different mindsets when it comes to choosing a career in life. There are many people who like to be an entrepreneur instead of working for someone versus many others who consider working with a big company or employer to become a paid worker.

The main reason for pursuing a career in business is that people have some business idea they want to put into practice. Additionally, they might be able to invest in their business. Some people also have their family business they want to run generation after generation. Moreover, many people believe that businesses yield huge profits which a traditional job does not.

On the other hand, if we talk about people who like to do a traditional job are the people who feel security in jobs and believe that doing business is a risky effort. In this category, we can find people who have professional degrees like medicine, engineering or teaching etc or are office workers.

These people don’t think of trying their luck in business because they are more comfortable with a 9 to 5 routine. They don’t want to risk their money or time in business although they are totally dependent on their employers for an increase in their income. These, in my opinion are the reasons why I believe some people like to become business owners and others job seekers.

Some people spend a lot of money on dining out? What reasons can you give why some people like to dine out instead of cooking at home? In your opinion, is it a healthy tendency?

First of all, I would agree to this statement. Definitely, there are many people who like to dine out or order food online. In my observation, the reasons for this trend can be multiple. Some people might not like to cook at home so they find it easy to buy food from outside. There is also a plethora of takeaways, pizza huts and restaurants and there is a lot of advertisement through social media and printing press offering great deals everyday.

As a result, people feel tempted to buy advertised food. Needless to say, dining out is a popular food culture in big cities. Although it is not very healthy, it can be justified in some ways. For example; some people might be too busy in their work outside home that they can’t find time for cooking. In that case they don’t have much choice but to purchase ready made food.

In my opinion, eating out is not a very healthy trend. I have a couple of reasons to say that. First of all it is a sheer wastage of money since you can cook better meal at home in at least half price as compared to the restuarant food. Secondly, the restuarants and take aways add taste enhancing agents in food that can be a health risk. Besides all that, it is a commonly known fact that people who eat a lot of junk food or restuarant food do not enjoy good physical health. I would suggest that people should eat outdoor food moderately. Making it a routine or cultural thing is not correct. It has lasting repercussions for your health and it can rip you off from your hard earned money really fast.

An educational tour paragraph Answer Number 3

Our history teacher used to talk about Ajanta and Ellora caves as two of the most important relics from our historical past. We asked him to organize the tour around these caves and he was willing to agree. The school had is closed for summer break, and a small group of twenty students set off to Aurangabad. We booked a bus to Ellora which is around fifteen kilometers away from the city. The city is an old one that has been explored by The Department of Archaeology. The Hindu temples offer a fascinating experience. There are many statues of Hindu Gods and Goddesses everywhere. It’s awe-inspiring how builders of the past can create such a beautiful urban space that is well thought out! The rooms are built in a way that ensures cross-ventilation and stays cool. The bull’s images as well as Shiva Linga, are a work of art. While it is over 2 000 years old, its construction is sturdy and long-lasting.

Ajanta is also located within the district however it is quite a distance from the district’s headquarters. It is the symbol of the growth in the practice of Buddhism throughout India. The caves were constructed of solid rock on the banks of the waterfall. The architects and artisans have spent their entire lives designing and building the magnificent city. Its Department of Archaeology provides well-trained guides, who shed some light on the subtle aspects of each statue. For instance, we visited the cave, where there was a massive sculpture of Lord Budha. If the lamp was directed at him from front view, the Lord seemed sad. If the light was shot from different angles The attitude and mood of the Lord changed. The wall’s frescoes have different colors. The colors were derived directly from the leaves and flowers that the trees produce. It’s awe-inspiring that these works are fresh on the cave’s walls. We inquired with the guide about how the artists worked within the caves. They said how the reflections of the sun’s rays onto the waterfalls were directed towards the caves according to the needs of the inhabitants.

The monuments serve as a reminder of the power of the man who creates masterpieces in the midst of difficult conditions. He can do amazing things in the event that he is motivated enough.

The trip was a wonderful learning experience for us all. I’m looking forward to many more of these educational tours that will expand our knowledge.

How to Write a Visit Report

Last Updated: March 30, 2024 References

Whether you’re a student or a professional, a visit report helps you document the procedures and processes at an industrial or corporate location. These reports are fairly straightforward. Describe the site first and explain what you did while you were there. If required, reflect on what you learned during your visit. No additional research or information is needed.

Writing a Visit Report

Explain the site's purpose, operations, and what happened during the visit. Identify the site's strengths and weaknesses, along with your recommendations for improvement. Include relevant photos or diagrams to supplement your report.

Describing the Site

Step 1 Look over the requirements of your visit report.

  • Reports are usually only 2-3 pages long, but in some cases, these reports may be much longer.
  • In some cases, you may be asked to give recommendations or opinions about the site. In other cases, you will be asked only to describe the site.
  • Ask your boss or instructor for models of other visit reports. If you can't get a model, look up samples online.

Step 2 Start the paper with general information about the visit.

  • If you visited a factory, explain what it is producing and what equipment it uses.
  • If you visited a construction site, describe what is being constructed and how far along the construction is. You should also describe the terrain of the site and the layout.
  • If you’re visiting a business, describe what the business does. State which department or part of the business you visited.
  • If you’re visiting a school, identify which grades they teach. Note how many students attend the school. Name the teachers whose classes you observed.

Step 4 Explain what happened during the visit in chronological order.

  • Who did you talk to? What did they tell you?
  • What did you see at the site?
  • What events took place? Did you attend a seminar, Q&A session, or interview?
  • Did you see any demonstrations of equipment or techniques?

Step 5 Summarize the operations at the site.

  • For example, at a car factory, describe whether the cars are made by robots or humans. Describe each step of the assembly line.
  • If you're visiting a business, talk about different departments within the business. Describe their corporate structure and identify what programs they use to conduct their business.

Reflecting on Your Visit

Step 1 Describe what you learned at the site if you’re a student.

  • Is there something you didn’t realize before that you learned while at the site?
  • Who at the site provided helpful information?
  • What was your favorite part of the visit and why?

Step 2 Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the site.

  • For example, you might state that the factory uses the latest technology but point out that employees need more training to work with the new equipment.
  • If there was anything important left out of the visit, state what it was. For example, maybe you were hoping to see the main factory floor or to talk to the manager.

Step 3 Provide recommendations for improvement if required.

  • Tailor your recommendations to the organization or institution that owns the site. What is practical and reasonable for them to do to improve their site?
  • Be specific. Don’t just say they need to improve infrastructure. State what type of equipment they need or give advice on how to improve employee morale.

Formatting Your Report

Step 1 Add a title page to the beginning of your report.

  • If you are following a certain style guideline, like APA or Chicago style, make sure to format the title page according to the rules of the handbook.

Step 2 Write in clear and objective language.

  • Don’t just say “the visit was interesting” or “I was bored.” Be specific when describing what you learned or saw.

Step 3 Include any relevant pictures if desired.

About This Article

Madison Boehm

To write a visit report, start by including a general introduction that tells your audience where and when you visited, who your contact was, and how you got there. Once you have the introduction written out, take 1 to 2 paragraphs to describe the purpose of the site you visited, including details like the size and layout. If you visited a business, talk about what the business does and describe any specific departments you went to. Then, summarize what happened during your visit in chronological order. Make sure to include people you met and what they told you. Toward the end of your report, reflect on your visit by identifying any strengths and weaknesses in how the site operates and provide any recommendations for improvement. You have not enjoyed your life if you have not travelled by train. There is nothing that can be compared with a train journey. • Frequently Asked Questions on A Journey by Train

Before you write a journey by train paragraph, you can check the samples provided below for your reference and get a better idea about the same.

A long journey by train is just an exciting experience. At times, it can be tiring, but we get a lot of pleasure. I remember when I was in Class 8th, I went to Bangalore with my whole family to spend the summer vacation. Flight journeys might take only a few hours, and train journeys are time-consuming, but I love to travel by train with them. We see a lot of vendors coming in to sell tea, ice cream, biscuits, peanuts, etc. Those are the most exciting parts of a train journey when we buy food and share it with everyone. We meet a lot of new people around us and spend some time with them.

A train journey is the most precious thing for me. It is even more exciting when I am travelling with my friends and family. I remember when I was travelling to Mumbai with my whole family for my cousin’s marriage. It was a great experience for me because it was the second time when I was travelling out of my hometown. It was beautiful to watch people crossing the train, which looked like a train and bike competition, and some kids waved their hands to say goodbye. Compared to a flight journey, sitting on the window seat and enjoying nature is so precious. It is even more beautiful to watch the sunset between the hills while enjoying the evening tea. Every time a tea vendor crossed, my mother would call him and buy us some snacks. Even if you are on a diet, it becomes hard for you to restrict yourself to rush to the food stall in every station. If you are bored, you can read a newspaper or a magazine, a story book, etc.

Train journey is the most exciting and most enjoyable experience of my life. I remember when I was travelling to Bangalore with my friends. My friends were the add ons to my excitement. We were seven friends travelling together and we enjoyed the most in those 24 hours. We were the attraction of all the passengers around us as we engaged them all with different games, music, and dance. We bought food and shared it with them. The beauty of nature can be enjoyed while travelling by train and it is more exciting when you are with your friends or family. When the train stops, we would rush to a food stall and eat different foods of our choice and they gave us immense satisfaction. When the vendors cross by us shouting and repeating all the foods, we would just look at each other and order the food without even a second thought. We would have eaten tummy full but still order the food just to satisfy our cravings. After we reached there, my friend’s family waited for us and treated us really well. But we were not so satisfied with those hours. We shared the contact numbers of our fellow passengers and are still in contact with them.

I have travelled many times with my family. I have travelled by flight, by train, etc. But the most exciting one was when I was travelling to Mumbai with my family. The plan to visit Mumbai was made just to have a great time by train. There was no specific reason to travel or visit Mumbai but the train journey is so fascinating for us that we decided to travel by train. We just spent three days in Mumbai and had a great time shopping but we spent 5 days travelling by train. A train journey can never be compared with any other journey or any other excitement. Travelling by flight would just take a few hours and it is the fastest means to travel and saves a lot of time. But at times, we just miss our train journeys, we miss the continuous calls of the stall vendors shouting biryani, chai… garam chai…, bread omelette, etc. When we miss the train journeys, this chorus would just bounce in our ears. The train would pass through the villages, forests, seas, rivers, etc. This makes the train journey so exciting because we meet nature closely.

While travelling from one place to the other by train, we get in contact with different people. We make new friends, the children enjoy the most, and there are a lot of memories. It is so hard to control our cravings while travelling by train. We would rush to a food stall and buy any food, and parents would not even stop us.

Frequently Asked Questions on A Journey by Train Paragraph

Why is a train journey so exciting.

A train journey is so exciting because we get a lot of time to travel and meet many new people around us. People from different places would be sharing food items and many conversations. We can enjoy the beauty of nature very closely.

How do we write a journey by train paragraph?

You can write a journey by train paragraph by explaining your own experience of travelling by train. You can explain about the kinds of food you had, people you met, etc. in the paragraph.

Some also travel for work-related reasons. People who take educational tours encounter firsthand everything they've read about in the text. Our minds can be opened to new concepts by the location's culture, architecture, gastronomy, and other aspects. The beautiful thing about travel is how much you can learn about life. Many people travel annually to numerous locations all around the world.

My Trip To Kashmir

I had Kashmir on the itinerary for my Navarathri holidays. I took a flight to Srinagar from Delhi. I was thrilled to see the snow-capped mountains and lovely valleys outside my window. I visited Shalimar Bagh and Nishant Bagh before taking a shikara ride on Dal Lake. There were many markets floating on the boundary of Dal Lake. In the following days, I went to Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg. After visiting all those places, this trip came to an end and was one of the best trips of my life. I met a lot of new people who were international tourists coming there for the first time.

500 Words Essay On Travel

According to a dictionary definition, travel is to move from one location to another, typically across a significant distance. But for many others, travelling goes well beyond that. "To travel is to live," as Hans Christian Anderson once said.

Importance Of Travel

Travelling can be a refreshing experience. We can learn so many things through travelling that are impossible to learn while staying home.

It teaches you how to meet new people. You can make friends when you visit new places and spend time getting to know them.

Additionally, it aids in the development of your social abilities. Following that, travelling is fantastic for picking up new talents. For example, seeing mountainous areas teaches you how to hike. Similar to how seeing beaches aids in learning to surf or scuba dive.

When you travel, you can also partake in the splendour of the outdoors. Travelling also aids in our understanding of other people.

You engage with the locals of a new place after spending some time there. You find out a lot about them and their way of life. You become more accepting of other people's cultures and ideas.

Travelling: Then Vs Now

Technology has dramatically transformed how people travel. Travelling was difficult in former times. Back then, there were only two ways to get around: on foot or by an animal. Ships were an alternative, but they posed too much risk. In addition, people travelled by camels, bullock carts, and horses. Sledges were an alternative for those going to areas with snow. It also took too long to traverse even short distances, which was a headache.

However, thanks to modern technology and advancing times, travelling is now among the simplest things to accomplish. The travel industry has undergone a significant transformation due to the abundance of new travel options. Today, we have access to many transportation options, including buses, trains, trucks, aeroplanes, submarines, hovercrafts, and more. Thanks to these transportation alternatives, you may quickly go to distant locations.

There are also no longer any obstacles. When visiting a distant city or nation, you can use internet interpreters and maps to your advantage. Additionally, restaurants and cab services are easily accessible. Therefore, thanks to technology, travelling is now quite simple.

My Travel To Goa

Last year, I travelled to Goa with my family. Goa is a fantastic location for a fun vacation. One thing that struck me as impressive was how many green trees were there along the route. The highway was quiet unlike in the metropolitan cities. People gather and start having fun on the beach as the day transitions into the evening. I also visited Panjim, where I saw a lot of lovely things. I went to a well-known church in Goa and lit a few candles. I also tried several water sports such as jet skiing, paragliding and snorkelling. The experience of it was out of the ordinary. I was terrified at first to go paragliding but once I was in the air, it felt like I could fly. My parents and I tried many beach restaurants and cafes and met people from all over the world. I was surprised to encounter so many tourists there but it was lovely getting to know them. I made some friends as well and I’m looking forward to staying in touch with them.

Essay on Travel Experience [200, 500 Words] With PDF

Travelling plays an important role in our lives as it enriches our experience. In this lesson, you will learn to write essays in three different sets on the importance of libraries. It will help you in articulating your thoughts in the upcoming exams.

Table of Contents

Essay on travel experience in 200 words, essay on travel experience in 500 words.

Feature image of Essay on Travel Experience

We travel to get away from the monotony of our daily lives. It’s a refreshing diversion from the monotony of everyday life. It allows our minds to relax and gives our inner child the opportunity to play. Some trip memories are nostalgic and melancholy, while others are daring and exhilarating. A trip to the graveyard, the poet’s corner in London, or one’s ancestral house, for example, is a voyage to nostalgia.

These travels allow them to relive memories and treasure golden memories from a bygone era. People who go on these journeys are frequently depressed and artistically inclined. Travelling instils a sense of adventure and encourages us to make the most of every opportunity. Some people prefer to travel in groups, whereas others prefer to travel alone.

Trips to amusement parks with massive roller coasters or a deeply wooded forest could be exciting. It’s important to remember that Columbus discovered America due to his travels. The journey becomes much more memorable when things don’t go as planned. For example, if a car tyre blows out on the highway and it begins to rain heavily, the trip will turn into an adventure, even though it was not intended to be such. A visit to a museum or a gothic structure, on the other hand, is sure to be exciting.

Essay on Travel Experience Example

We travel to get a break from the mundane and robust lifestyle. It is a welcome change from the monotonous routine existence. It helps our minds rest and gives the inner child within us to have a good time.

Not all travelling experiences are adventurous and exciting, and some are nostalgic and melancholic. For instance, a trip to the cemetery or the poet’s corner in London or one’s ancestral home will be a nostalgia trip. Such trips help them re-live the moments and cherish the golden memories of bygone times. People who undertake such trips are often melancholic and have an artistic sensibility.

Travelling experiences bring enthusiasm and teach us to make the best of every moment. While some enjoy travelling in groups, some people love to travel solo. Adventurous trips could be to amusement parks with giant roller coasters or a deep, dense forest. One must not forget that travelling led Columbus to discover America. When things don’t go as planned, the trip becomes more memorable. For instance, if the car tyre gets punctured on the highway and starts raining heavily, the trip, even if not intended to be adventurous, shall become one. A trip to a museum or gothic architecture shall be thrilling.

Last Christmas, my trip to Goa with my friends was an enriching one. The golden sun-soaked beaches offered a refuge from the humdrum city life of Kolkata. The cool breeze, the rising and setting sun, and the chilly wind all transported me to heaven. It was paradisal and divine. The cuisine was exquisite. The Portuguese culture and the museums offer various historical insights.

Although it was the peak season and most crowded places, people were civilised and cultured. The melodious music was in the air in every nook and corner, and the happy vibes were contagious. I danced, sang, played and had a great time. I tried sky diving, and it was a thrilling experience.

Besides fun and frolic, I found the independent spirit of people commendable. We spent three days in North Goa and two days in South Goa. We stayed at a guest house as most hotels were expensive and very occupied. We booked scooters to travel far and near. We also went on the cruise for the casino night.

My favourite spot was Thalassa, where we enjoyed the spectacular belly dance performance by males and females. We spent Christmas at Curlies witnessing the waxing moon at midnight. The lap of nature enriches one travelling experience and soothes their soul. The chirping of birds, the sound of the waterfall, the waves of a beach or the snow-covered mountain uplifts the traveller’s spirit.

One must not restrict oneself to a specific type of travelling experience. Life, after all, is a long journey that offers us different durations of vacations to make us laugh and learn at the same time. As Francis Bacon puts it, “Travel in the younger sort is a part of education, in the elder, a part of the experience.”

Hopefully, after going through this lesson, you have a holistic idea of the importance of travelling in our lives. I have tried to cover every aspect of a traveller’s experience within limited words. If you still have any doubts regarding this session, kindly let me know through the comment section below. To read more such essays on many important topics, keep browsing our website.
