Are Tom Cruise & Jamie Foxx Friends?

You know that unspoken rule you have between you and your friends that no one, in any circumstance, is allowed to date anyone else's current and/or former significant other? Yeah, celebrities have that, too. Except, just like us, celebrities don't always adhere to the rule. Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are rumored to be dating (yes, still), which begs the question... are Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise friends ? Because, it sort of seemed like they were. And if so, this is all just super awkward. For them, at least.

I guess it all boils down to the fact that Cruise and Foxx were co-workers first , as any and every publication will point out in connection with Foxx and Holmes alleged relationship. But it's one thing to work with someone, send them off with best wishes, and never see them again. It's another thing if you two have a history. Which, um , Cruise and Foxx do.

The two actors actually go way back, before they ended up starring together in Collateral in 2004. As Foxx hilariously recalled in an interview with Graham Norton, he read for Cuba Gooding Jr.'s role in Jerry Maguire with Jerry Maguire himself. Take a look:

Despite interacting in professional settings, these actors don't and didn't seem to have that type of cordial yet aloof relationship so often seen in Hollywood. No, the actors actually seemed fairly friendly. If you can't quite recall any instances of the two being chummy with one another, perhaps this video will jog your memory — or just change your mind if you're skeptical:

Yes, it was a skit. But it's clear the two had the definite comfortable familiarity with one another needed to pull it off. Besides, in an extremely ironic interview Foxx did with Extra in 2012, an interviewer acknowledged Cruise as one of his "good friends" and, in addition to that, Foxx spoke about the Cruise/Holmes divorce and only had the kindest and most reassuring of words to say:

Do they have matching friendship bracelets or one half of a broken heart necklace that reads either, "Best" or "Friend?" Probably not. But you don't need special trinkets or to even chat with someone on the phone everyday to acknowledge them as a confidant. So, I think it's safe to say that a friendship (and if the rumors are true, perhaps a now sort of awkward friendship) exists between the actors, given the evidence.

2004: Foxx works with Tom Cruise on Collateral .

Before Cruise meets and marries Holmes, he works with Foxx on the movie Collateral . The pair appear to strike up a friendship over the course of filming.

Cruise meets Holmes in April 2005, according to The Hollywood Reporter .

2006: Holmes is spotted with Cruise and Foxx.

Holmes attends a football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Washington Redskins on September 11, 2006 in Maryland. She is seen chatting to Foxx on the field, who is clearly an acquaintance, as she attends the game with Cruise.

June 29, 2012: Holmes files for divorce from Tom Cruise.

Cruise's rep releases a statement (reported via Yahoo! ) which says, "Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy." CBS reports that Cruise is blindsided by the divorce, and tells a German television station, "I didn't expect it."

August 2013: Foxx and Holmes are seen dancing together in the Hamptons.

Over a year after Holmes has separated from Cruise , rumors about a new relationship start when Holmes and Foxx are spotted at the same event in the Hamptons. They're photographed flirting with one another, with People reporting that "Foxx wrangled [Ellen] DeGeneres and Holmes for a group hug, the ladies flanking him," and "at one point, the actress even tried a sip of Foxx’s cocktail," suggesting that they're either very close, or this is the start of a flirtation between them.

October 2013: Foxx denies that he is dating Holmes.

The Baby Driver actor tells Entertainment Tonigh t that he isn't dating Holmes. He says, "[The rumors] are one hundred percent not true. In fact, it's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people."

February 2015: Holmes and Foxx are photographed holding hands for the first time.

The secretive actors are seen holding hands in public , but they don't confirm their relationship. Instead, PopSugar claims that, instead, they go to even bigger efforts to hide their romance, with Katie putting "on a wig and hat to meet him at a hotel" at one point, which is a commitment, if true.

March 2015: A source claims that the relationship isn't that serious.

An alleged source tells People , "This is not some intense romance. Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single... they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment."

December 2015: Holmes attends Foxx's 48th birthday party.

TMZ reports that Holmes is spotted in the crowd at Foxx's birthday celebration, spurring on rumors that they're secretly a couple.

June 2016: Foxx's friend gets in trouble for spilling secrets.

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, and a friend of Foxx's, Claudia Jordan, lets a little too much info about her friend's relationship slip while appearing on a podcast . Jordan reveals, "He is very happy with her. I love that he seems very happy."

July 2016: Foxx visits Holmes on the set of The Kennedys After Camelot .

The rumored couple are seen having dinner in Toronto, where Holmes is filming . Foxx doesn't even keep the fact that he's in town a secret, because he poses with a fan for an Instagram shot.

December 2016: They celebrate Holmes's 38th birthday in Mexico.

A source tells Us Weekly , "They stayed in one of the most private suites at the hotel, separate from other guests and entered by a small path. They wanted to be very discreet and had everything delivered to their room and taken care of by a personal butler."

May 2017: Holmes visits Foxx on location in Paris.

According to a report in People , Holmes is photographed boarding a private jet in Paris with Foxx, where the actor has been filming a new version of Robin Hood. Of the romance, an "insider" apparently tells Us Weekly that Katie "gushes about how amazing he is. She says she loves him from the tips of her toes to the top of her head."

September 2017: Holmes and Foxx are spotted holding hands on a rare public outing.

Holmes and Foxx are photographed holding hands on Labor Day as they walk along a beach in Malibu together. The Daily Mail shares photos of the couple looking extremely loved up.

December 2017: They celebrate Foxx's 50th birthday in Los Angeles.

Of the party, PopSugar reports, "They walked in together. They mostly mingled with other guests, and spent very little alone time. It was obvious that Jamie had a great birthday. Katie looked like she had fun as well. She looked gorgeous."

January 27, 2018: Holmes and Foxx sit together at a Pre-Grammys party.

February 2018: Foxx walks out of an interview when asked about Holmes.

Foxx walks away when an interviewer quizzes him about Holmes. However, he smiles throughout the interaction, suggesting he isn't that angry about it.

People reports that Foxx and Holmes play basketball together on Valentine's Day.

June 2018: Holmes's rep denies breakup reports.

Seeming to indirectly confirm that Holmes and Foxx are, in fact, dating, Holmes's rep shoots down a story which claims that the actors have broken up.

Radar Online reports that "she and Foxx have split after five years of intense, covert dating—and have even called off the intimate dream wedding they’d been planning. 'Katie just couldn’t get over her trust issues.'"

However, Holmes's rep tells People , "The Radar story is 100 percent untrue," which appears to confirm that the relationship is still on.

December 2018: They show PDA in Miami.

Foxx and Holmes were seen kissing on a luxury yacht and racing on wave runners together in Miami, FL ahead of New Year's Eve. The Oscar winner joked to Us Weekly of their not-so-secret PDA, "It was foolish!"

May 2019: They make their Met Gala debut—and then break up.

Although they didn't walk the red carpet together, Foxx and Holmes were photographed together inside the 2019 Met Gala for the first time. In full couple mode, the duo coordinated in shades of purple, with Holmes in a dark and dreamy Zac Posen number, and Foxx in matching violet shoes.

August 2019: Their breakup makes news after Foxx is seen with another woman.

On Friday, August 16, Foxx raised eyebrows when he was photographed holding hands with singer Sela Vave while out in L.A. Days later, reports broke that Foxx and Holmes had split in May. After initially keeping their romance under wraps, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx put their love on display after going public in 2015.

Holmes began her relationship with Foxx one year after finalizing her divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012. (Holmes and Cruise, who share a daughter, wed in 2006, two years after she called off her engagement to Chris Klein .)

After two public romances, the actress remained largely tight-lipped about her personal life after moving on with Foxx. Six years into their relationship, they made their red carpet debut in May 2019 at the Met Gala where they posed for photos.

However, Us Weekly confirmed three months later that Foxx and Holmes called it quits after half a decade together.

Holmes  began dating Cruise in 2005, the same year she called off her engagement to the Sweet Magnolias actor. The First Daughter star revealed her plans to convert to Cruise’s religion, Scientology, that June and they announced their engagement later that month.

The A-listers welcomed their daughter in April 2006 and tied the knot in Italy that November. Nearly six years later,  Holmes  filed for divorce. The case was finalized in August 2012 .

Holmes  spoke to InStyle in March 2020 about the aftermath of her divorce from Cruise , in which she moved with their daughter to New York City. “That time was intense. It was a lot of attention, and I had a little child on top of it,” she explained. “We had some funny moments out and about in public. So many people I didn’t know became my friends and helped us out, and that’s what I love about the city.”

Literally Every Single Thing We Know About Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx's Relationship

This is a case for the FBI.

After a very public relationship with Tom Cruise that ended in divorce in 2012, Katie Holmes all but disappeared from the spotlight. Holmes chose to focus instead on her work as an actor, producer, and director, and her low-key life with daughter Suri in New York City. But in the last year we've gotten much more information about  Holmes' relationship with Jamie Foxx,  the man she's been quietly dating for over five years.

Last year, Holmes finally stepped out holding hands with Foxx, and they've since provided glimpses of casual get-togethers and even (gasp!) some PDA. Here's everything we know about one of the most private relationships in Hollywood, from how it all started to where they are today.

August 2013

It's believed that Holmes and Foxx began their relationship in 2013, a year or so after Holmes split from Cruise. The two had known each other as far back as 2006–here they are with Holmes' now-ex Cruise.

Apparently, Foxx and Holmes saw one another again at a benefit in the Hamptons in 2016, according to  People , where they were seen dancing arm-in-arm. Once they officially got together, the couple reportedly went to extreme lengths—including disguises—to keep their relationship a secret, and we didn't hear a peep out of them for  18 whole months.

Extremely blurry photos  appear to show Holmes and Foxx holding hands, and  Us Weekly  unofficially confirms the relationship.

A source told  People , "This is not some intense romance.” The source added, “Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn…But contrary to those conclusions, they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment.”

December 2015

Holmes was a guest at Foxx's 48th birthday bash in New York City. Her presence at the surprise party, also attended by Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys, was the first sign in close to a year that the couple remained together (phew).

Both Foxx and Holmes were spotted wearing rings on their wedding fingers. Jamie Foxx's rep shot down rumors that the pair are engaged or married to  People — the first time a rep for either of the couple had alluded to their relationship.

August 2016

Holmes was in the audience at Barbra Streisand's concert in New York City to see Foxx be brought onstage, but Holmes and Foxx didn't sit together and no photographs were taken of the couple. We can assume that Holmes was there to cheer on her boyfriend, though.

Holmes visited Foxx in Paris when he shot the  Robin Hood  remake (released in late 2018). "They’re going to go out to dinner more often," a source tells  Us.  "They plan to start going public."

September 2017

A watershed moment! Holmes and Foxx held hands and  walked along a beach together,  proving to the world that the relationship was still going strong (despite continuing to be very tight-lipped about the whole thing, obviously).

January 2018

Finally! Katie attended  Clive Davis' Pre-Grammys Gala  in honor of Jay Z with Foxx on her arm, and the two looked happy and in love. The couple spent the entire time smiling and whispering to each other, according to photos (finally! photos!).

February 2018

Foxx literally walked off an interview with ESPN, as reported in  Page Six , after being asked about his relationship with Holmes, thus confirming in no uncertain terms that he was not going to discuss the relationship.

As has now become customary for the couple, they arrived and left separately for a date night in New York, this time at the high-end restaurant Nobu, according to  People .

A rumor began to spread that the couple had broken up, but Holmes' publicist was quick to shoot the story down to  People . Of course, neither Holmes nor Foxx had ever confirmed their relationship to begin with, so this firm denial was  very  interesting.

Holmes and Foxx were spotted  on a date  in New Orleans, then they  celebrated her birthday  together in New York, and  then  they engaged in some  steamy, sexy PDA  while they were on a yacht in Miami.

These are  big  steps for the couple, who have presumably gotten very used to keeping their relationship behind closed doors. Five years on (!), even though they've still not confirmed their relationship, they've clearly gotten comfortable with everyone knowing about it.

February 2019

Well, somewhere along the line, things reportedly went wrong. Very wrong. Although the last public update on the relationship saw them indulging in endless romance, and even some very uncharacteristic PDA towards the end of 2018, the new year took a turn.

In February, it was speculated that the couple had quietly split and ended things for good, after Foxx was heard telling party-party-goers that he was “single."

During an evening at Byron Allen’s annual Oscars celebration, HollywoodLife reported that the 51-year-old actor “told the crowd he’s single”, and “had a lot of women on stage and danced with them.” Meanwhile, a second source for  UsWeekly  backed up the claims, adding: “It was very nonchalant, while he was referring to married and single couples, he just dropped the line, ‘I’m single’.”

Well, that was the unexpected plot twist that nobody asked for. How did this HAPPEN?

Juuuuuust kidding! Either the pair have gotten back together, or they never split in the first place.  Daily Mail  spotted the couple walking casually down the street in Katie's home of New York, then the pair meandered through Central Park and into the Metropolitan Museum of Art together. (You can go to that link for the photos—intriguing choice of hat, Katie!)

It's worth noting that Jamie saying he's single might be something that the two actors had agreed upon to downplay their relationship (remember that  Sex and the City  episode when Samantha counseled her actor boyfriend Smith to say he was single in a public interview to better his brand?), but it ended up causing more drama rather than less. I think they might need to tweak their system a bit, is all I'm saying. OR they actually did take a brief break, and we saw a tiny sneak peek at their private life before they became tight-lipped about the situation again.

Amid the breakup rumors, Katie only added fuel to the fire by posting  a very sexy photo of herself  en route to the Neiman Marcus Hudson Yards grand opening.

There was a seismic shift in Katie and Jamie's relationship this month, at least when it came to the couple's oh-so-rare public appearances. First, they were spotted with Jamie's daughter Corinne on a gelato trip in L.A., during which the couple laughed and held hands openly (and, I mean, holding hands with your boyfriend when you're with their daughter—that's a pretty committed relationship move, no?).

Then , the two walked the streets of New York in broad daylight (a bold move!) holding hands, with Katie wearing sweatpants, a trucker hat, and Adidas sneakers, and Jamie in ripped jeans and aviators. (I get the sense that Jamie is on his way somewhere, whereas Katie is going back to bed? I feel you, Katie.)

In huge, huge news,  Katie and Jamie attended their first  major  event together —the Met Gala. They didn't walk the red carpet together, although you can see him close by, just over to the left, while Katie poses with designer Zac Posen:

Then they  actually posed together  inside the venue. meeting Cardi B and then just chilling by the gorgeous pink backdrop together. They even gave us some of that rare PDA that is just so, so cute (and rare) for the private couple:

The best part, for me, might be the fact that Jamie literally coordinated his look to Katie's with matching shoes—that's a supportive boyfriend, right there. Per  People , Katie wore a "Zac Posen gown, made of 300 yards of multi-layered hand sewn colored tulle, a Tyler Ellis clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry." She looks amazing, he looks amazing in those shades, and they're clearly thrilled to be together. Heart eye emojis for everyone! 

Later in the month, Jamie's 25-year-old daughter, Corrine, opened up about her dad's relationship and confirmed that he and Katie are "really great" together.

“They are so great and Katie is always so chic. They were wonderful. [It was] my dad’s first Met Gala," Corinne  told People  when asked about the couple’s appearance at the annual fashion event, where the couple made their carpet debut. "They’re really good, really great."

According to  Page Six , Jamie was at a public event, Corkcicle’s Rosé Day LA, updating a friend about his relationship with Katie. "[He said] things are going swimmingly," per the source. "They’re making [long] distance work, and they are stronger than ever." Obviously, this wasn't Jamie talking publicly to a reporter—he never does that—but I love that he (reportedly) speaks with love about her when he's with companions. It's a big difference in language between public to private communication.

So, there's likely no plans that I can tell for the pair to move from California (Jamie) or New York (Katie). Both are still  attending events regularly where they live locally , and are spotted traveling to see each other from time to time. While I certainly long for more events where they show up together, as with the Met Gala, I love love love the detail that they are stronger than ever, and that the fan-favorite couple shows no sign of slowing down. It's so sweet!

August 2019

Wait. WHAT?? The couple is over,  according to E! , and it's been over since May. My heart just broke in half! But they attended a red carpet together in May! Their daughter talked about how sweet they were together! He said things were going great!  What happened??  Neither of them are going to comment officially, but the couple had been going strong for  years.

"This split news has emerged just days after Foxx was spotted holding hands with singer Sela Vave outside of a nightclub in West Hollywood. The duo, who have not commented on their relationship status, were photographed leaving Lil Pump's 19th birthday celebration together at Bootsy Bellows on Friday, Aug. 16," according to E!. Initially, it was just rumored that the two were supportive friends, but apparently that's not true.

Following reports of the breakup, neither camp issued a statement—which is telling, because you'll remember that they denied breaking up back in June (which, ironically, was the first time they'd confirmed they were actually  together ). So it feels as though the lack of denial might indicate that the rumors are true, and the two have gone their separate ways.

According to  People 's  source, "It ran its course. This industry is very tough on relationships...Jamie thinks Katie is an incredible human being. They had a very, very deep connection. They brought each other a lot of joy and laughter."

Meanwhile,   ET 's  source isn't ruling out the possibility of a reconciliation. "They never had a typical relationship...They have always been incredibly independent and their lives didn't revolve around each other." But  Us Weekly 's  source has the most (potentially) juicy tidbit of all: the two were living "different lives" and "It has been many years of him stepping out with other women."

In the days following news of the split, Jamie was forced to address rumors that he'd moved in with Sela Vave, 21, a singer he'd been spotted holding hands with. The verdict, according to Jamie? They live together, but it's strictly a business arrangement. "We took her under our wing," Jamie said in a video posted to Instagram Live, saying that he would never cross the line into romance with Vave—"that girl's mom put her trust in me," Jamie added. He also addressed the  hand-holding photos,  saying: "I’m escorting her to my car, to put her in the car."

Vave shared the video on her own account, writing: "For the people who care… here is the TRUE story… for everyone else you can keep talking and calling me a whore, slut, home wrecker, thot, gold digger."

Tom Cruise has been a central player in Hollywood for the last three decades, ranking up more classic Hollywood titles than most of us have time to watch! As an actor, Cruise was once seen as the Hollywood every-man; the diverse roles in his longstanding career help portray him as one of the nicest men in Hollywood. For some, the news of Mr. Cruise being Mr. Hollywood-Nice-Guy might appear to be a bit surprising, considering his status as one of the most frequent tabloid fixtures of the last fifteen years!

With the wall-to-wall coverage of Tom Cruise's personal life, it can be difficult to figure out a consistent snapshot of Tom's actual personality. Before Tom was known as a tabloid fixture, he held a Hollywood reputation as one of the nicest men in Hollywood, and many of these accounts of Tom's positive personality come from fellow members of Hollywood elite. If your Tom Cruise reading material comes from supermarket tabloids portraying Tom as being unhinged and only having a single word known as " glib " in his vocabulary, it can be slightly jarring to comprehend Tom Cruise is an actual human being, who has worked hard to build a positive Hollywood every-man akin to many of his film roles.

However, it is an impossible mission to be the most well-liked celebrity in Hollywood. While Tom might have a close cast of characters in his celebrity friend repertoire, some members of the Hollywood elite don't feel the warm and fuzzy feelings reminiscent of Jerry MaGuire, toward Tom; some celebrities have had encounters with Tom, which could be found in the pages of gossip magazines. While we wait for someone to pen the screenplay, we can tide ourselves over with the news Zac Efron and Tom Cruise are good friends in real life!

Vulture gave details of Zac and Tom's relationship, and we're waiting for a basketball game to go down between the two friends. According to the article, Tom "asked him if he knew how to write a motorcycle." Zac was so moved by the encounter. He told Details, "I don't know. I don't even want to know" in response to why he believed Tom would do such a nice favor for the young actor.

It's like a tragic tale of the Hollywood elite; two decade-defining actors aren't able to find space alongside each other on the same legendary actor couch. John Travolta and Tom Cruise won't be hanging out at any Hollywood reunions anytime soon!

For nearly two decades, Tom Cruise has made countless magazine covers for his devotion to the church of Scientology. Travolta, too, is an active member and is outspoken about his relationship to the church. The two actors have been known to be competitive for elite titles within the church.

The Daily Beast wrote a comprehensive outlook on the actors' relationship. A former member of the church spoke out about their rivalry; there was reported jealously from Travolta for not having as solid of a relationship with the head of the church, David Miscavige. The interviewee stated, "Cruise is the only celeb with a direct line to Miscavige. Travolta didn’t have that. Travolta doesn’t get anything free, no one is giving him absurd gifts like an airplane hangar, custom-made bikes, or over-the-top favors."

Wondering about the legitimacy of Hollywood friendships is normal. They are often played out to mind-numbing detail on the covers of magazines, it only makes sense! Tom takes time to gift Dakota something special every year for her birthday! Fanning revealed in an interview, "He has sent me a birthday gift every year since I was 11 years old. Beautiful gifts!"

Kirstie Alley has held a place in popular culture since the Eighties. She starred on the legendary show Cheers, delighted an entire generation in the Olsen twin classic It Takes Two, and she is currently a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother! If you prefer to peruse the pages of magazines, you may know Kirstie from the pages of tabloids for her complicated relationship with Tom Cruise.

Like Tom, Kirstie is a member of the Church of Scientology. The celebrity followers of the controversial religion seem like they're participating in their own elite sub-club; former Scientologist,  Leah Remini , revealed many bits of information in her memoir, surrounding fellow celebrity Scientologists. According to News.au, Leah revealed, "I had heard Tom didn't like them [Alley, and John Travolta]."

Cameron Crowe , film director, and friend to famous figures across the board in entertainment has Tom Cruise to thank for a motivational boost after a career slump!

Crowe and Cruise collaborated together on the blockbuster hit of the '90s, Jerry MacGuire, and maintained a solid relationship for twenty-two years. According to The Atlantic, Cruise displayed goal worthy levels of friendship when he actively encouraged his director friend to continue perfecting his craft.

Tom Cruise pumped Cameron Crowe up with an important pep talk. He created a brilliant plan where he introduced Crowe to fellow director Judd Apatow, who happens to be a hardcore fan of Crowe's early film Say Anything; following their introduction, Crowe said , "Cruise sidles up to me and goes: ‘See? Get out of your house, man, it’s fun, and that’s when it felt like, yeah, it’s time to direct again.'"

Perhaps one of the most intense celebrity feuds of all time belongs to the nonexistent relationship between Leah Remini and Tom Cruise. For the last few years, Leah Remini has spent a significant amount of time revealing to the world the intricacies of Tom Cruise and his antics with the Church of Scientology. It's difficult to narrow down the exact reason why Leah and Tom do not get along, but Leah has provided us with an endless string of clues along the way.

Remini publicly left the church in 2013, and famously documented her time in her memoir, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, and included many stories about Cruise. Two years after its publication, she still finds it important to let the world know about his shortcomings. Lipnicki has chosen to live life largely outside of the spotlight, but he is reportedly attempting a return to Hollywood! According to People, one of Jonathan's closest confidants happens to be his grown-up mentor, Tom Cruise. He sat down for an interview where he revealed Tom is still a valuable contact.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx Come Out As an Item, After 'Tom Cruise Ban' Expires

They’ve finally gone public as a couple. So, did Tom Cruise really ban Katie Holmes from publicly dating for five years to burnish his own reputation?

Now here’s something to really jump up and down on the couch for.

Hollywood’s worst-kept romantic secret—the relationship between Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes —is finally out of the bag, after the couple was photographed walking hand in hand on the beach in Malibu on Labor Day, wearing matching fedoras no less.

They have repeatedly denied they are in a relationship over the past few years, despite incessant rumors and frequent sightings of them together.

Indeed, on one occasion, a friend of the couple, apparently unaware of the omerta, accidentally mentioned their relationship to media outlets, only to issue a hasty retraction.

The absurd level of secrecy, and their public appearance together this week, looks set to give credence to an extraordinary rumor first reported by the gossip site RadarOnline .

In September last year, Radar claimed that as part of her divorce settlement from Top Gun star Cruise, Holmes had agreed not to publicly date anyone until five years had passed following the end of her marriage. 

“Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” the source claimed.

“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,” the insider told Radar. “Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms—and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.”

Cruise and Holmes agreed to a divorce settlement in just 10 days, with the pact reportedly stipulating Suri would not have any contact with Cruise’s religion, Scientology.

However, had Holmes broken the rules about “embarrassing” Cruise, she could have lost the money, the source alleged.

If true, that five-year period would have ended in June—which may explain why the couple has now come out.

Remarkably, most observers believe Foxx and Holmes have been together since 2013—about a year after her split from Tom Cruise—when they were photographed dancing together at a charity bash in The Hamptons.

But they have largely avoided being photographed together and consistently denied they are a couple since then.

There have been a few slips; for example, Katie was seen with a ring on her finger in March 2016, but Foxx’s rep said it wasn’t from him.

It was claimed the two met at each other’s homes and that Katie sometimes disguised herself with wigs and hats to meet up with Foxx without being noticed.

In March 2015, a photo surfaced showing the two stars sitting in a recording studio holding hands.

Jamie is seen reclining in his chair, holding Katie’s hand and gazing at her, with his legs subtly intertwining hers. The actress sat with her legs crossed and staring at her phone, with her foot is resting on one of Jamie’s, while his other foot sneaks around her calf. 

Foxx denied reports of romance, insisting the two were “just friends.” 

In December 2015, Holmes was a guest at Jamie’s surprise birthday party in New York at La Bilboquet restaurant.

And soon after, she was spotted at The Honor Bar in Beverly Hills with the actor’s youngest daughter, Annalise.

In June 2016, there seemed to be the first public confirmation that Foxx and Holmes were, indeed, in a relationship when former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan , a friend, said they were dating.

“He is very happy with her. I like that he seems very happy,” Claudia said during an interview for the Allegedly podcast.

However, Jordan quickly retracted, telling Entertainment Tonigh t the day after the podcast reveal that she had “no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all.”

“I’ve never seen them together. He’s never told me he’s dating her,” she said.

In April this year, a restaurant customer snapped a photo of them having dinner in New York, and in May they were spotted separately boarding the same private jet at Le Bourget Airport in Paris. They were photographed leaving the Park Hyatt Vendome hotel separately.

To make it impossible to get photo evidence that they are together, they traveled “in cars with tinted windows and took secret back elevators,” Us Weekly  reported in April.

The couple is said to be exhausted by the need for secrecy, and is doubtless thrilled that the long and allegedly controlling shadow of Tom Cruise will no longer be a presence in their lives.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx kept things hush-hush

Here's a celebrity relationship you didn't necessarily see coming. In 2013, romance rumors began surfacing about Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes , the ex-wife of his "Collateral" co-star Tom Cruise, after they had been seen dancing together at a charity function in the Hamptons. The "Django Unchained" star initially told ET (via the  Mirror ) that there was nothing going on between them saying, "It's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people." However, the rumors persisted for years — and the couple continued to keep schtum regarding their relationship status.

In a 2016 episode of the " Allegedly " podcast, Foxx's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" pal Claudia Jordan let slip that yes, the pair were officially an item. However, she quickly backtracked her statements, telling ET that she'd never seen the two together. "I don't have the knowledge of this [relationship] being fact," she said. "I misspoke." But they didn't keep things entirely on the down-low. In 2017, they were snapped at Foxx's 50th birthday bash, sat next to each other at a pre-Grammys party, and were spotted holding hands on a Malibu beach.

In 2019, they finally posed for an official photo together at the Met Gala in New York (above). Sadly, just a few months later, Hollywood's most secretive couple was said to have broken up due to irreconcilable differences, long-distance difficulties, or work interference, depending on which tabloid you read. But could there have been another juicier explanation?

Did Sela Vave make sweet music with Foxx?

The first sign that things weren't particularly rosy in the Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes camp came when the former was pictured hitting the town with aspiring vocalist Sela Vave, in August 2019 — just weeks before news of Holmes and Foxx's breakup was spread. The pair were even snapped holding hands as they left Los Angeles nightspot, Bootsy Bellows.

Foxx had already gushed about Vave during an interview on Power 106 FM (via ET ), telling the hosts how she impressed him on their first meeting with an acoustic rendition of a remix of Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love." He said, "She wasn't trying to be Fantasia [Barrino] or Whitney Houston. You know how hard it is to play the guitar and be quiet?"

Vave returned the favor on Instagram (via People ), expressing gratitude to the "Baby Driver" actor for bigging her up alongside a carousel of monochrome photos of the pair. She wrote, "Thank you so much for everything you do and for believing in me." The fact that Vave was only 21-years-old at the time led some to believe that the fifty-something had succumbed to the same relationship syndrome as Leonardo DiCaprio. 

Natalie Friedman danced with Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx added to his exhaustive list of rumored celebrity girlfriends in 2019 when he was pictured enjoying the company of comedian Natalie Friedman on several occasions. The pair first made headlines when they were filmed dancing in close proximity to each other in a parking lot following a meal out with friends including legendary producer Quincy Jones.

Friedman is perhaps best known for her hilarious impersonations of Cardi B. And later that week, she and Foxx enjoyed another dinner together at the same hotspot, Catch LA. They were soon spotted hanging out for a third time, on this occasion at a New York club with Lil Kim — who incidentally had also previously been linked with the Academy Award winner in the late '00s.

If that wasn't enough, Friedman also took to Instagram to share a snap of the pair posing at a screening of Foxx's latest acclaimed drama, "Just Mercy." Praising the flick, she captioned the pic, "Incredible film, highly recommend everyone go see it ... Bryan Stevenson is nothing short of a hero."

Jamie Foxx took Dana Caprio out for dinner

Jamie Foxx sure didn't waste any time in getting back on the dating horse. While the nature of his relationship with singer Sela Vave remained unclear, it appeared to be a little more certain that he went on at least two dates with Dana Caprio, a model who also works at SUR, the restaurant owned by reality TV goddess Lisa Vanderpump. Wisely, the pair decided to eat out at somewhere else on the first night they were pictured together, namely Mr. Chow in Los Angeles. Further fueling speculation, Foxx and Caprio also hit nightclub Poppy later that same week, as the latter documented on her Instagram Stories.

A source told E! News that the pair were introduced to each other by a mutual friend but that Foxx was keeping things casual. However, another anonymous insider told the same site that they'd met through the "Jarhead" star sliding into Caprio's DMs. Although it was reported that the pair planned to meet up again, things soon appeared to go quiet on the dating front.

Jamie Foxx once again sent the tabloids into overdrive in early 2023 when he was spotted leaving a swanky party with the woman who'd sent countless soccer fans' hearts racing during the Qatar World Cup. Ivana Knoll was dubbed the hottest fan of the quadrennial tournament after being pictured flouting the strict Qatari dress code while attending a match. The former Miss Croatia soon racked up more than three million followers on Instagram and was later spotted partying with hip hop superstar Drake too.

Foxx is another famous face she appeared to have spent some time with. As well as enjoying each other's company at a star-studded bash hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio, the pair had also headed out for a meal together with friends, as Knoll documented on Instagram. However, beyond bringing in the New Year together and keeping the party going throughout January, the two weren't spotted again during the first half of 2023.

The 44-year-old actress leads a notoriously private life with Suri, only occasionally speaking out about their relationship in the years since her split from Tom Cruise. Suri's early life was well documented in the press, thanks to the spotlight on her famous parents.

Katie recently adressed the fame and attention Suri garnered at a young age, a dmitting that it is because Suri spent her childhood in the spotlight that she has opted to keep her out of the public eye as a teenager.

"What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her," the star told  Glamour.   "I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

Her comments echo those made to  Town & Country Magazine   in 2017, where she spoke of stepping away from the limelight to focus on parenting.

"It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood," she told the publication.  "M y child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now.  I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed."

In 2023, Katie also spoke about Suri having occasional involvement in the entertainment industry now that she's a little older. Suri recorded a cover of  Blue Moon for Katie's pandemic-themed romantic comedy  Alone Together and recorded a song for the new  Rare Objects.

"I hope she always does something on my films. I always ask her," she told  Glamour.  "But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people.

"And it's this safe, beautiful, creative space. So it comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly. That’s how I like to work. I like to have that kind of feeling. It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart."

When did Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise get married?

Katie and Tom's whirlwind romance was the stuff of Hollywood tabloid dreams. The  Dawson's Creek star had a well-known crush on the actor; just five months before meeting Tom she told  Seventeen magazine " I think every little girl dreams about (her wedding). I used to think I was going to marry Tom Cruise."

The couple were spotted on their first date in Rome in April 2005, just weeks after meeting to "discuss a role related to the new  Mission: Impossible  movie."

They welcomed their daughter Suri one year later in April 2006, before tying the knot in November later that year. Just five years later, their love had fizzled out and they divorced in record time in 2012 (she filed for divorce on June 29, the proceedings were over by July 9).

Why did Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise get divorced

Tom was reportedly blindsided by Katie, who filed for divorce "without warning" and left him "deeply saddened" - according to his publicist. Katie's publicist emphasised she was doing what she thought was in Suri's "best interests." 

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," her lawyer Jonathan Wolfe told   People   magazine at the time. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

Citing "irreconcilable differences," Katie filed for divorce in the state of New York. It's reported that she believed she would have a "better chance" of gaining sole custody of Suri by filing on the East Coast. It was widely reported that Katie wanted New York  apartment, Tom was said to still have access to significant custodial time with his daughter.

Following their brief divorce proceedings, Katie's lawyer said: "We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life. We thank Tom's counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution."

Katie and Tom tied the knot in 2006.

Does Tom Cruise have a relationship with daughter Suri?

In 2013, a year after the split, Tom sued a magazine for a story that claimed he had abandoned Suri. In a deposition regarding the story,  Tom was asked if his ties to Scientology had played a part in Katie's decision to file for divorce. T om replied: "Did she say that? That was one of the assertions, yes." He  also confirmed Suri was no longer a member of the Scientology Church at that time. 

Throughout the trial, Tom also c onfirmed that he had not seen Suri for several months immediately following the split.

“Listen, when there is a divorce… things change,” he said.  “ And it’s more complicated, as everyone know when that is, when that occurs, and there are certain agreements; now you have to ask for permission and organize schedules to make things happen. So it wasn’t — it’s not an ideal scene. It’s not an ideal situation.”

It was later reported by InTouch Magazine in 2016 that the actor hadn't seen or spoken to his youngest child in more than 1,000 days (over two-and-a-half years).

“They used to Skype and text, but that trailed off drastically,” a source told InTouch at the time.

The most recent update from  Page Six  claims that Tom plays "no part" in Suri's life - though he still pays his child support bills. The publication claimed he still pays a large child-support sum of US$400,000 and will continue to do so until she turns 18.

Despite the tabloid speculation, little is known about the actual inner workings of their relationship.

While Tom has not commented on their father-daughter relationship in some time, Katie has occasionally broken her silence on their private lives...

Inside Kate & Suri's close relationship

In the first few years following their divorce, Katie rarely addressed their ill-fated romance or her family life without Tom. She briefly mentioned her love of her daughter in a few interview snippets in 2014. 

​​"I didn't know how much love I had in me. It's overwhelming," she said in an August 2014 interview with  Glamour . "Every day I discover more about this spectacular human being I get to be the mother of."

"The most important thing for me is letting her know how proud I am and that her accomplishments mean everything. Whatever I do is whatever. It's really just about her and that's what I think is most important," she said on The Today Show later that month.

"Motherhood means everything to me," she told  People Magazine later that year. "I'm learning every day, and I have been since the minute I became a mom.

"My main goal is to just let her know how much I love her," she said. "Just to let her know that she is so loved. When that's the through line, who cares that my first two pancakes are always burned?

"Between tickle fights and glitter art, I try to throw in some manners along the way. I try to have good manners too, so that's what she sees. I also try to be very creative with her, because I know she's an artist, and that speaks to the girl in me," she said.

"Motherhood means everything to me," Katie has said.

Katie told  People that she relied on her mother, Kathleen Stothers-Holmes, and her close girlfriends to get through life as a newly single mother.

"I lean on them. For advice, for recipes, for all of that stuff: 'What am I supposed to do? Can you come over and watch? Can you be a helping hand?' And I do have help, yes, but … it's your baby, you know? You want to be the one who is there," she told the publication.

She also acknowledged that she questions "am I enough?" and "am I doing enough?" on a regular basis. 

"You do the best you can. Some days you feel really good about yourself and some days you don't," she tells People . " Motherhood has taught me to just let go of some things, to relinquish control. I've had to learn to ask myself, 'Is this worth it? Is it going to make her smile?' And if it is, then yeah, we're probably gonna do it. Maybe that means dinner at 8 instead of 6, and a snack in between. Fine.

"Things don't have to happen a certain way. I think we all need to ease up on the expectations. We're all trying to do the best we can. Motherhood taught me that."

Katie relied on her close loved ones as she navigated becoming a single parent.

Inside Suri Cruise's life now...

As Suri continued to grow through her teens, Katie kept her out of the spotlight save for a few comments here and there.

"I love her so much," she   told   InStyle   in April 2020. "My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality, to make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident and able. And to know it. She came out very strong — she's always been a strong personality."

In November 2020, she told  Vogue Australia the pandemic had further shaped their close relationship.

"Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be. To listen," she said.

"To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift."

Katie has revealed that life in the pandemic strengthened their bond.

In an interview with  Variety in 2023, Katie offered one last glimpse into their home life. She shared that they were watching the iconic  Dawon's Creek together, reliving her years as Joey Potter.

"She has seen   Dawson's Creek,   and I think it's probably weird since she's a teenager. I'm not like, 'You need to watch mommy's work.' But during the pandemic, we had a good laugh about it," she said. "It's wild to have a daughter who's almost the same age as I was when I began all this."

Jamie Foxx Learned An Important Lesson Trying To Impress Tom Cruise On Collateral

The digital Los Angeles night stretches on damn near forever in "Collateral," Michael Mann's excellent neo-noir about a taxi driver at the wrong place at the wrong time. That driver, Max, is played by Jamie Foxx, and one night, he picks up a passenger named Vincent, played by Tom Cruise in one of his best performances. As it turns out, Vincent is a hitman, and he forces Max to drive him all over town to kill some people. Vincent swears he'll let Max go when the night is through, but deep down, Max knows that can't be true. Vincent is a stone-cold killer, after all.

Foxx and Cruise are both fantastic in the film, playing off each other perfectly. Foxx's Max is nervous and sad while Cruise's Vincent is cold and calculated. Foxx was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the film, and while that nomination was much deserved, the actor needed some advice from Michael Mann to nail down his performance. Part of the problem, it seems, came from Foxx trying to impress Tom Cruise. Which is understandable — we'd all like to impress Tom Cruise. But remember: that guy jumps off mountains for fun. He's probably not easily impressed. 

'I gotta do my thing'

While speaking with  Yahoo , Foxx revealed it was "a blessing to be able to work with that cast and director," and that Mann gave him some good advice during a particular scene. The scene in question involves Cruise getting into Foxx's cab, at which point Foxx decided to crank the "ACTOR" dial up to 11. As Foxx put it:

"So I'm in the cab, ACTING. And Michael [Mann] says, 'What are you doing?' And I said, 'I gotta do my thing. You know who's in the backseat [Tom Cruise], and I gotta do my thing!' He says, 'How about you not do your thing?'"

When Foxx asked for clarification, Mann replied: 

"When was the last time you got into a cab and some cab driver was doing that thing? Or were they tired of driving that cab, trying to get home, so the last thing they gave a s**t about is who's in the backseat? Do it that way."

Mann was going for something realistic. He didn't want Foxx to behave like an actor. He wanted him to behave like a cab driver. As Foxx puts it, Mann was "completely right," adding:

"That was a moment of learning. He was telling me, in other words, to shed whatever I'd obtained up to that point. Celebrity, this and that — you gotta shed it, in order for you to get to it. Otherwise, you're in trouble. I learned that and, even today, use that as a tool, or a discipline, to get to the characters."

The lesson of this story: don't try to impress Tom Cruise or Michael Mann will tell you to stop. Good advice.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx's Relationship Finally Confirmed

Actress confirms ''good friend's'' relationship with tom cruise's ex.

We now have confirmation of Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes ' relationship.

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Claudia Jordan , joined the Allegedly podcast on Tuesday and revealed that Foxx is, in fact, dating Holmes.

When asked about the Annie actor, Jordan said, "[He's a] good friend of mine. Never [hooked up with him]." When asked about his relationship with Holmes, Jordan added, "He is very happy with her. I like that he seems very happy."

The confirmation comes after Holmes sparked engagement rumors  in January when she was spotted wearing a ring on that finger, recirculating speculation that she's been seeing Foxx after her split from Tom Cruise .

It all started in 2013 at a charity event, the 4th annual Apollo in the Hamptons,where Jamie and Katie were  photographed dancing together . Then, earlier this year, a report claimed the stars have "been hooking up on the DL" for the past year and a half. Both Holmes and Foxx remained mum on the speculation at the time, but the actor wasn't afraid to speak out about it in March, promising it's all tabloid rumors.

"Oh come on, you guys have been trying to get that to stick for three years," Foxx told an inquiring paparazzo in Los Angeles at the time. When asked for clarification, Foxx reassured the shutterbug that the two are "just friends" and are actually working together on an upcoming animated project. "That's all it is," he added.

Most recently Holmes' rep called a report that their wedding plans were on hold due to Holmes' pregnancy " categorically untrue ." Foxx's rep also told E! News that he is "not engaged, not getting married and not having another child."

But just because they aren't engaged or expecting a child doesn't mean they aren't something .

In fact, multiple sources have told us that they are dating, with one insider saying it's been going on for years, and it's "not a secret among their friends." The arrival of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter on April 18, 2006, sparked a global frenzy for the first glimpse of the A-list infant.

But it wasn’t until five months after her birth that she made her debut — on the cover of Vanity Fair, wrapped in the arms of her doting parents, in glossy photos taken by photographer to the stars, Annie Leibovitz.

Now she turns 18 this week and faces a choice: Whether to return to the level of fame she had as a kid — when there were blogs devoted to her fashion — or maintain the carefully-guarded life Holmes has built for her since she blindsided Cruise by filing for divorce.

The dark-haired teen has grown up in Manhattan largely shielded from the spotlight by her loving and highly protective mum, 45, far removed from her 60-year-old father’s Church of Scientology.

As Page Six revealed last year, Suri is estranged from her famous father and the pair have no relationship.

An industry source told us this week that the Mission: Impossible star has not seen Suri since 2012. “Katie has safeguarded Suri and she’s a devoted mum,” the source said.

“This is a girl who is a private citizen. She hasn’t lived her life in public.”

Holmes told Glamour magazine in 2023 that she likes to “protect” Suri from the public eye “because she was so visible at a young age.”

“I’m very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She’s an incredible person. She’s my heart,” she added.

Being the only daughter of a protective single parent is a stark contrast to how Suri’s life began, of course.

“My whole life I always wanted to be a father,” Cruise gushed to VF back in 2006.

“I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me and I would always be there for them and love them — that I’d never make a promise to my kids that I couldn’t keep.

“I’m not one of those people who believe you can spoil a child with too much love. You can never give a child too much love. There’s just no way.”

He already had two adopted children, Bella, now 31, and Connor, now 29, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman and after her Vanity Fair debut was happy to parade Suri for the paparazzi.

Cruise had famously declared their romance by jumping up and down on Oprah Winfrey’s couch in May 2005, yelling “I’m in love!”

But when Suri was just 6, Holmes filed for divorce after six years of marriage with the help of her dad, Martin Holmes, a fierce lawyer, and through a secret plan that entailed using burner phones.

Cruise was taken completely by surprise by the filing while he was on the set of Oblivion in Iceland in June 2012.

He and Suri were last seen together at Disney World in the summer of 2012.

In November 2013, during a deposition in his $US50 million court battle against a pair of tabloid magazines, the Top Gun star admitted that Holmes had filed for divorce “to protect Suri from Scientology,” court documents revealed.

Despite not having a relationship; as per their divorce agreement, Cruise, who has an estimated $US600 million fortune, agreed to pay Holmes $US400,000 a year until Suri turns 18 as well as future “medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extra-curricular costs”.

Scientology lies at the heart of the question over Suri’s future.

Holmes, who rose to fame in the TV hit, Dawson’s Creek , is believed to have signed multiple nondisclosure documents that will prevent her from ever talking about her marriage to Cruise — and her time inside Scientology.

But when Suri turns 18, NY state declares that she is at the age of majority, when an individual is legally considered an adult.

That would allow her to speak about her father, his beliefs and their rift.

Tony Ortega, who has covered Scientology in depth for decades, told Page Six, “Suri would have been too young to sign any agreement, but she will now be free to talk if she wants to and it’s going to be really interesting if she has something to say.”

We have reached out to reps for Cruise, Holmes and the Church of Scientology.

“Part of why Katie left when she did when Suri was 6 was that Katie would have seen Isabella and Connor going through Scientology,” said Ortega.

Cruise is of course Scientology’s most famous follower and seen as one of its most powerful figures, possibly second only to its leader, David Miscavige.

That power has led Ortega and former Scientologists to question what action Miscavige and other top Scientologists may have taken against Holmes and her daughter.

Regular members who quit are declared “suppressive persons (SP)” and those who stay in Scientology are told to completely cut them off.

“We don’t know for sure if Katie was ever declared an SP,” Ortega said.

“If you are a regular church member you could be told to disconnect from your wife and daughter, but because Tom is a celebrity — he’s the top celebrity — he gets to ignore all this stuff.

“Your average member would be kicked out, but David Miscavige can’t do that with Tom.”

Both Mike Rinder and Jeff Augustine, two high-profile former Scientologists, agreed with this claim.

Augustine is married to Karen de la Carriere, who was one of the highest-ranking church leaders until she left in 2010 and told Page Six, “The situation with Suri is a larger story about Scientology and the subject of how they make people no longer useful to them or threats to them non-persons.

“It’s like they cease to exist and that’s what happened to Suri.”

Back in August 2020, Leah Remini — one of the most famous celebrities to leave and speak out against Scientology — told us that she believed Cruise, who now lives mainly in the UK, was waiting until Suri is older so he could indoctrinate her into Scientology.

Remini, who attended Cruise and Holmes’ November 2006 Italian wedding at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle, said, “I’m sure his master plan is to wait until Suri gets older so that he can lure her into Scientology and away from her mother.”

Suri has tiptoed very gently into her parents’ showbusiness world while attending her exclusive Manhattan day school, singing B lue Moon in the opening credits of Holmes’ 2022 movie, Alone Together.

“I always want the highest level of talent,” Holmes said. “So I asked her! She’s very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing.”

Suri also sang in the film Rare Objects , which Holmes also directed.

Holmes will this year return to Broadway in a revival of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town .

She has not remarried but had a six-year romance with actor Jamie Foxx which she kept under the radar before their split in August 2019 and went on to have a brief fling with Nolita restaurateur Emilio Vitolo Jr. in 2021.

Holmes is careful not to speak out too much about her daughter, who is now preparing for college, once saying, “She came out very strong — she’s always been a strong personality.”

But she is now getting ready for her daughter to leave the nest.

“You want them to stay with you forever, but they’re these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they’re going to go,” she told Town & Country in 2017.
