I had stayed here lot of times. Great thing is its location. If you do not mind a short stride, you can walk up to it from the Thampanoor (Trivandrum Central) Railway Station and Thiruvananthapuram KSRTC Bus Station.No hotel attached. Room service is good

I had been to this hotel a number of times. I had chance to use different rooms and feel I am fairly well placed to review it. The biggest attraction that makes me coming back to this place is the price. I am yet to find another Hotel here which will put you in an AC Room for Rs. 700. I found it ideal for the quick one day visits I frequently make to Thiruvananthapuram. Another great thing is its location. If you do not mind a short stride, you can walk up to it from the Thampanoor (Trivandrum Central) Railway Station and Thiruvananthapuram KSRTC Bus Station. If your work got over fast and you need to just stretch your legs till your train arrives, there is no better place to do it. (you can even afford to oversleep a bit because it is so close to the station.) As for service, there is nothing much for them to do. There is no restaurant attached to the hotel. But placed so strategically, they don't need one. Walk just out of the hotel and you have many joints around you. Thripthi Restaurant, Arya Nivas, just to name a couple. Here I will just mention that if you order room service for any thing other than tea, you are in for a long wait since they have to go out and purchase them. I so prefer to go and pick my choice directly from the restaurants they may try to purchase it from. The staff however are really well behaved. Are the rooms clean? I found they have neat A/C Rooms. But I cannot say the same with the non AC Rooms. The non AC room to which I checked in once had cob webs and dust to cover me. So I asked them to shift me to an AC room and never took a non AC room thereafter. The prices however do not pinch you too hard if you take a AC room either. They have AC Rooms with a sitting room attached, at just Rs. 850. Ideal for people like me who may like to invite a client or so to have a discussion. This is an old building. Even in AC Rooms, you may find a few boils in painting and stains on the wall. But I found them bearable. Toilets too are OK. I am yet to find a leaky tap or clogged drain here. But over all, I can give a 2.5 for cleanliness. Just pass mark that is. I wont call it poor. But I cant rate it any thing above average. The bottom line is, this is a good place if you are looking for comfortable accommodation at a low price. It is not a palace. But one can survive.
