Nov 2023 • Couples. Waipo Valley can only be visited by locals but Waipo Valley lookout is open to all visitors. It is located about 30 mins North of Hilo and is a very easy drive. The views from the lookout is pleasant but not spectacular. From the parking lot, you will need to take a steep walk to get to the lookout.
