The Italian Dream

I enjoyed the cities we visited and the information and background history was well presented. The hotel were nice and our transportation to those cities was great. My concern, being a solo traveler, was there were a couple of times I travel alone through cities. One in particular was in Florence. I chose not to go on the excursion to Pisa since I had been to the city before. Our guide gave me a map and instructions on how to return to the hotel from our location. I asked if there were others not going to Pisa and I didn't receive a definitive answer. It was the next day that I found out that four other traveler did not go. I followed the map & instructions given me and I did reached the hotel, but I felt very uncomfortable traveling alone through that city. The second time was the last day in Rome, many of the travelers felt uncomfortable on securing transportation or finding their way from the Vatican to the Coliseum and returning to their hotel. That day I traveled with a group but we still felt uncomfortable getting through the city to our destinations especially at the end of the tour when we would return to our hotel. A couple of us were in different hotels and that had us traveling alone through the city. For the future, please give my concerns some thought especially since you promote safe travel for those traveling solo.

Italy from North to South

The first part of the tour was absolutely fantastic and our tour guide Carlos was both knowledgeable and well prepared and organised, on our return to Rome things wend down hill, complete chaos, no organisation, dreadful guides, no organisation, this really puts a damper on the trip, the end of the trip was just cobbled together, this was a very disappointing end to our holiday

Sehr viel gesehen, sehr gute Organisation, gutes Essen, ausgezeichneter Reiseleiter, insgesamt sehr zufriedenstellend. Allerdings: Beworben wurde die Reise mit einer maximalen Gruppengröße von 20 (!), was ein wesentliches Motiv für die Buchung war. Tatsächlich war die Gruppengröße 39 - 41, also doppelt so groß!!!! Wie vertrauenswürdig sind eigentlich die Angaben zur Reise? Wäre die Gruppengröße mit max 40 Personen angegeben gewesen hätten wir diese Reise NICHT GEBUCHT!

Overall what was on offer, was delivered. The hotels in Florence and La Spezia were hed out as 4 star, but e beieve they were at best 3 star. The hotel in One was advertised as 3 star and that was accurate.

Prague, Vienna & Budapest

I was so hoping that this tour operation would work well for us, as it had the elements we are looking for ie Land transportation details all looked after, taxis, trains and shuttle to and from airport. Perfect. Breakfast every day was included, leaving us to consume other meals when and where we wanted to.Perfect. One half day tour in each city we visited, to get our bearings, and then leaving us alone for the remainder of the time to wander and discover. Perfect. Accommodation, BASIC (the room in Vienna looked/felt more like a dorm room) and clean, was far away from anywhere we wanted to be, ie far from the historical areas and interesting sites. For this reason, alone, we will not use this tour service again. A traveller needs to be central to the sights and sounds of the city (ie NOT the sounds of the tram going by every 15 mins as was the case in Vienna- windows had to be open, as there were no controls for the heating in the room, and it was HOT in March.)

Enjoyed this tour. Accommodation was nice and travel voucher had most of the information needed. One thing which we were disappointed with was being referred to use the emergency number even for critical scheduling information, such as the bus time for the group included tour. This information should be relayed ahead of time to us, instead we had to actually seek it out ourselves. Thanks to Anne from Wingbuddy for helping communicate important information to us throughout the tour, much appreciated!

Enchanting Prague

we took a Wingbuddy tour to Prague , Vienna and Budapest. I normally just gook on my own. They were a pleasure to deal with on the phone and upped our hotels to 4 stars. Everything was looked after all oick ups at the airports and the train stations, arranged first class trains across Europe. Tours in every city half day were included which is all we wanted . 2 of 3 hotels were great.Not great in Vienna. Have already told so many people about them would 'HIGHLY " recommend them for travellers like us who like to discover on our own, but have everything else looked after . Would highly reccomend

Authentic Greek Islands

We did the Greek Island hopping vacation in June 2022. It was the best experience ever. We were completely looked after for transportation (air, land and ferry) and accommodations. It couldn’t possibly have been better organized and I will travel with Wingbuddy again. We are looking at the South Africa tour right now.

Iceland Escape

It was a great time. Everything was easily followed and organized well. Only drawback was the weather, and not being able to see the northern lights during our time. All things considered, will definitely be going back to Iceland.

Charms of the Cyclades

The train from Athens literally fell off the tracks. And the people at Tour Radar were waiting for us when our bus for the train finally arrived at the terminal. They went way out of their way to give us a nice tour of as many sights as we had time for. The train ride was pretty awful but the tour was worth the ride.

Tour really amizing, the driver and tour guid, food and location was very good, but a first day and last day hotel accomodation is not good very small shower, the bed is like rocking, the last tour scheduled from vasilica to collesium there no travelling car and is not good for us to take a taxi by our own and some a taxi driver is not honest.

Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the largest city in Africa, with a name that means "the victorious city." It is located on both banks of the River Nile near the head of the river's delta in northern Egypt and has been settled for more than 6,000 years, serving as the capital of numerous Egyptian kingdoms. Cairo is known locally as "Misr," which is the Arabic name for Egypt, because of its centrality to Egyptian life

The city of Cairo covers an area of more than 453 square kilometers (more than 175 square miles), although it is difficult to geographically measure and separate the city from some of its immediate suburbs. Bracketed by the desert to the east, south, and west and bounded by the fertile Nile delta to the north, Cairo sits astride the river, though it spreads farther on the east bank than the west.

The center of downtown Cairo is in Tahrir Square, which is located along the east bank. A hub of tourist activity, the vast and open square contains numerous attractions, including the Egyptian Museum, the Arab League headquarters, and the modern Umar Makram Mosque. Cairo's main thoroughfare, Corniche, extends from north to south along the east bank of the Nile. Located nearby is the narrow strip of land known as Garden City, one of the city's newer residential areas. In the center of the city is the river island of Zamalek (also called Jezerah, meaning "the island"), which contains an upscale residential and commercial neighborhood also known as Zamalek, the Cairo Opera House (founded in 1869), and the Cairo Tower (1961).

Egyptian history is displayed and preserved in the city's numerous Museum collections. The Egyptian Museum (Founded in 1902) contains hundreds of thousands of artifacts, including more than 1,700 pieces from the collection of Pharaoh Tutankhamen. The Museum of Islamic Arts (1881) contains a vast collection relating to early Islamic civilization, and the Coptic Museum (1910) traces the history of the Coptic community in Egypt. Other Cairo Museums maintain collections relating to more modern themes, ranging from the El-Gawhara Palace Museum, built in 1811 in the Ottoman style, to the Mahmoud Khalil Museum, founded in 1963, which contains works by Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Peter Paul Rubens, and other renowned European and Egyptian artists.​​​​​

On June 14, Paul McCartney & Wings are set to officially release One Hand Clapping , one of the most bootlegged live albums in musical history.

In August 1974, when Band on the Run was enjoying a seven-week consecutive No.1 stint at the top of the UK album charts, Paul McCartney and Wings headed to Abbey Road Studios for the filming of a video documentary and possible live studio album – One Hand Clapping .

Despite overwhelming demand for newly recorded material from the biggest band in the world at that time, One Hand Clapping was never officially released.

Filmed and recorded over four days and directed by David Litchfield, the release of One Hand Clapping is a historic moment for Paul McCartney fans. Over the years, various parts of One Hand Clapping have been bootlegged with varying degrees of success.

Some of the material has also appeared on official McCartney releases. However, the June 14 release of One Hand Clapping , which features the original artwork designed for the project, including a TV sales brochure for the unreleased film at the time, is the first time the audio for the film—plus several additional songs recorded off-camera—have been officially issued.

One Hand Clapping showcased Wings’ new lineup, fresh off their return from Nashville, where they recorded the classic single “Junior’s Farm.” Following the sudden departure of Denny Seiwell and Henry McCullough the previous year on the eve of recording the Wings masterpiece Band on the Run , Paul, Linda, and Denny Laine were joined by guitarist Jimmy McCulloch and drummer Geoff Britton. Additionally joining the band in the studio were orchestral arranger Del Newman and saxophonist Howie Casey, who had previously played with Paul in Hamburg and would go on to join the Wings touring band.

Opening with an instrumental jam that would become the One Hand Clapping theme song, the album features live-in-studio renditions of Wings mega-hits “Live and Let Die,” “Band on the Run,” “Jet,” “My Love,” “Hi, Hi, Hi,” “Junior’s Farm,” Paul’s much loved solo song “Maybe I’m Amazed,” reworked extracts of Beatles’ classics “Let It Be,” “The Long and Winding Road” and “Lady Madonna,” the Moody Blues hit “Go Now” with Denny Laine singing, and a Paul solo piano version of the Harry Akst/Benny Davis Tin Pan Alley classic “Baby Face.”

One Hand Clapping will be released in multiple formats, including an online exclusive 2LP + 7” package featuring an exclusive vinyl single of previously unreleased solo performances recorded on the final day of the sessions in the backyard of Abbey Road studios.

These include the unreleased track “Blackpool,” The Beatles’ iconic “Blackbird,” Wings B-side “Country Dreamer,” and cover versions of Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock” (the first song Paul played to John Lennon when they met in 1957) and Buddy Holly’s “Peggy Sue” and “I’m Gonna Love You Too.”

Since filing a motion for a vote to force Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to vacate the House leadership position in March, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has been on a right-wing press tour promoting her move and attacking Johnson. Greene has called the incumbent speaker a “mini tyrant” and said that he is “full of shit,” while receiving support and encouragement from conservative hosts including former Trump strategist Steve Bannon, who promoted similar efforts to remove GOP Speaker Kevin McCarthy last October.

Greene filed a motion to oust johnson last month and has since been gathering support for the move, greene has made several appearances in right-wing media to promote her efforts to remove johnson, including at least 6 appearances on bannon’s war room.

• On March 22, Greene filed a motion to oust Johnson from his position as speaker of the House. When representatives returned from their spring recess in early April, Greene sent a letter to her colleagues again urging them to vacate the speaker. [NBC News, 3/22/24 ; PBS, 4/9/24 ]
• Greene has also recently opposed Johnson’s foreign aid package, introducing unserious amendments that include funding for “development of space laser technology on the southwest border.” MSNBC reported that Greene proposed other “ludicrous amendments ... presumably meant to troll her colleagues,” including “one that would require all members of Congress who vote for the Ukraine bill to ‘conscript in the Ukrainian military’; another would prohibit funding until Ukraine ‘closes all bio-laboratories.’” [MSNBC, 4/18/24 ]
• A fter the House passed the aid package on April 20, Greene said she would wait to move forward on a vote to remove the speaker. Greene also reiterated her reasons for attempting to oust Johnson and told reporters that “he’s already a lame duck.” [CNBC, 4/20/24 ]
• Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon has a long and successful history of influencing right-wing politics, including the campaign against former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in late 2023. Bannon was strongly in favor of ousting McCarthy as speaker, which caused a rift with Greene, who allied with McCarthy. Bannon vocally attacked Greene for her support of McCarthy and threatened to support a primary challenge against her. [The Washington Post, 4/4/24 ; Bloomberg, 10/8/15 ; The Daily Beast, 8/4/23 ] 
• Now, Bannon is seemingly using the same playbook he deployed to help push out McCarthy to oust Johnson. This time, however, Bannon and Greene are aligned — the Georgia representative has made multiple appearances on Bannon’s War Room discussing Johnson’s alleged failures and the need to remove him as speaker. • In an April 2 phone call into War Room , Greene said that Johnson is “doing the very dirty work of the deep state.” She also said that Johnson has been “promoted to be the senior partner at the firm, and you know what that means — he is not working for Republicans.” [Real America’s Voice, War Room , 4/2/24 ]
• On the April 3 edition of Tucker Carlson’s Uncensored , Greene and the host speculated that Johnson may be being “blackmailed.” Carlson claimed that among many top D.C. officials, “there does seem to be a connection between the creepiness of your personal life, and the deception around your personal life, and your willingness to vote with the other side.” Greene also said that “establishment Washington runs like a company, we could call it the firm. Well, Mike Johnson just got promoted to senior partner at the firm because he has been obeying their every single demand.” [Twitter/X, 4/3/24 ] 
• In an interview on OAN, Greene said that there is “strong support here behind my motion to vacate” Johnson and claimed that “I support the Republican Party more than most members do.” Host Dan Ball said, “I’ve got to admit, MTG, I agree with you. I am not happy with a lot of the votes or non-votes he hasn’t brought to the floor.” [OAN, Real America ,  4/11/24 ] 
• On War Room , Greene said she opposed Johnson’s vote to send foreign aid to Ukraine because its conflict with Russia is “really” about “a war on Christianity.” She claimed that “the Ukrainian government is attacking Christians, the Ukrainian government is executing priests. Russia is not doing that. They’re not attacking Christianity, as a matter of fact they seem to be protecting it.” Bannon praised Greene, saying that she has been “mentioned sometimes even as a VP possibility. If not you might be in the Cabinet. Or obviously in the future you're going to be one of the leaders of the MAGA movement.” [Real America’s Voice, War Room , 4/8/24 ,  4/8/24 ]
• In another appearance on War Room the following day, Greene claimed Johnson’s role is “ the leadership of a Democrat speaker, and the Democrats are thrilled with Mike Johnson.”  She continued, saying, “he has absolutely done their bidding.” During the segment, Bannon compared her letter to colleagues calling for Johnson’s removal to when “[Martin] Luther nailed the 95 theses to the cathedral door,” starting the Protestant Reformation. • Greene again appeared on War Room on April 12 and said that “I’m not full of shit just like Mike Johnson is.” After Bannon asked Greene about Ukraine, she said that “[Secretary of Defense] Lloyd Austin and the others here more than anything want to send your uncles, your cousins, and your sons and daughters to the front lines in Ukraine,” adding, “They don't care about you at home, they don't care about our country, they don’t care about our border.” She then demanded that Johnson “do the right thing” and “stop funding Joe Biden’s administration, stop funding the open deadly border invasion.” [Real America’s Voice, War Room , 4/12/24 ,  4/12/24 ] 
• Criticizing Johnson in another War Room appearance, Greene claimed that “the biggest thing he should demand is a citizenship requirement in federal elections” and blamed him for not sending more funding for border security. Greene also said that “we can’t get him [Trump] elected if we have illegals voting in our elections,” adding that “this is the way the Democrats are planning to steal it.” [Real America’s Voice, War Room , 4/16/24 ,  4/16/24 ] 
• On War Room on April 18, Greene claimed that Johnson had turned into a “mini tyrant” who is “working with Democrats,” and she called him “the Democrat speaker of the House.” Bannon then called Greene a “front-line patriot.” [Real America’s Voice, War Room , 4/18/24 , 4/18/24 ] 
• On The Charlie Kirk Show , Greene agreed with the Turning Point USA founder’s “recommendation” that House Republicans “need a replacement” or “an alternative” for Johnson, with the host claiming: “You cannot, as speaker of the House, come and be the deciding vote against the U.S. Constitution with the Fourth Amendment and come out unscathed.” Greene replied, “I completely agree with you.” [ The Charlie Kirk Show , 4/18/24 ] 

Sweden’s Tim Widing earns first Korn Ferry Tour title at LECOM Suncoast Classic

Prevailed in three-man playoff at Lakewood National Golf Club

Sweden’s Tim Widing earned his first Korn Ferry Tour title Sunday at the LECOM Suncoast Classic, winning a three-man playoff with a par on the second extra hole at Lakewood National Golf Club’s Commander course in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

The victory moves Widing from No. 23 to No. 2 on the season-long Korn Ferry Tour Points List through eight of 26 events. The top 30 after the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance will earn 2025 PGA TOUR membership.

“I'm speechless,” Widing said afterward. “It's something I've practiced for every day and something you dream of, and for it to finally happen. … It's a relief to finally pull it off. You keep telling yourself that you're very close, but winning golf tournaments is really tough and I'm just so happy I was able to pull it off. This is incredible.”

Widing completed 72 holes at 20-under 264, tied with Patrick Cover and Steven Fisk, who was looking for a second straight victory after winning the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club earlier this month.

Cover was eliminated with a bogey on the first playoff hole, the par-4 18th, as Widing and Fisk made par. Widing got up-and-down from just left of the green, while Fisk two-putted from 13 feet. Fisk found trouble off the tee at the second extra hole, again No. 18, as he missed the fairway to the right off the tee, played his second shot to short-right of the green, pitched to 15 feet and couldn’t convert for par. Widing found the fairway and green in regulation and two-putted for the winning par.

Widing becomes the eighth consecutive first-time winner to begin the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season, which is the second-longest streak in Tour history (10 in 2002). This was also the fifth consecutive Korn Ferry Tour event to require a playoff, the longest such streak in the circuit’s history.

Widing, 26, finished No. 46 on last year’s Korn Ferry Tour Points List as a rookie, notching eight top 25s in 25 starts, his season highlighted by a T3 at the Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank and a pair of T4s in a three-event summertime stretch. After concluding the season with three missed cuts in four starts, he retooled during his first offseason as a Korn Ferry Tour member and came out firing in 2024.

“As a rookie, you want to learn as much as possible,” Widing said. “Had those stretches in the middle of the summer where you play like seven weeks in a row. I feel like that was too much golf for me, I was trying to chase it a little bit too much. This year, knowing I have my full card, being able to schedule a little bit better and take a few tournaments off has been very helpful.

“That's probably the biggest difference, just knowing what's ahead of me and probably learn from the mistakes I did last year.”

The Swede arrived at the LECOM at No. 23 on the season-long Points List in a steady campaign that included five top-26 finishes in his first seven starts. With no finish better than eighth, though, he was waiting for things to come together. They did just that at Lakewood National, where he carded rounds of 67-64-67-66 – including three birdies in his last six holes Sunday – to earn a spot in the playoff. Then he took advantage.

Widing turned pro in 2021 after a successful college career at the University of San Francisco, which included honorable mention All-American honors as a senior in 2019-20. He competed on the 2022 PGA TOUR Latinoamerica, finishing No. 33 on the season-long Totalplay Cup, and he earned Korn Ferry Tour status via Q-School, securing guaranteed starts with a T29 at Final Stage.

Widing has maintained a close relationship with fellow Swede Ludvig Åberg, with whom he attended high school (at Filbornaskolan, a sports-focused boarding school outside Helsingborg, Sweden). Åberg has quickly ascended in the professional golf ranks after finishing atop the 2023 PGA TOUR University Ranking, winning The RSM Classic last fall and finishing runner-up at last week’s Masters Tournament.

After a dramatic victory in Florida, Widing looks poised to join his countryman on TOUR next season.

“He’s unbelievable,” Widing said. “It's been fun watching him in college and what he's doing right now. It just doesn't seem to faze him, all the pressure. He's top 10 and almost winning every week.

“I think Sweden's got a very bright future ahead and I'd love to be part of that. Trying to follow his footsteps and hopefully I'll be on the PGA TOUR with him next year.”
