We picked this up at an estate sale recently, a great chance for a winter project. It will be the envy of all at the rallies next summer! It is very unusual to find the California built travel trailers here on the east coast. The interior is the original, beautiful ash wood with rounded corners, unique to the California built campers like Kenskill and Oasis. The ceiling has no water damage other then very, very minor staining by the vent (pictured) and is in great condition. The floor is generally solid with most of the original ties in tact. However, on the floor there is an area starting under the ceiling vent going over toward the entrance door (pictured)which is showing signs of the vent having been left open for a while at one time. The side storage hatch was also accidentally left open at the same time and water damage occurred there as well (pictured). The most glaring issue is the torn front skin . This occurred only recently when the previous owner was relocating it for the estate sale with a tractor equipped with forks. No water or other damage has occurred there since and nothing structural was affected. Luckily, the skins are available to purchase online. The electricity works all of the outlets and lights and it has the original fresh water holding tank.. The original Princess Range is in amazing shape and these are quite desirable. The camper can sleep 5 people and has a ceiling height of 6' 4". All of the cushions are in good shape with no rips or tears. The upper fold away bunk and cushion are also in good condition. The trailer towed well for our 100 mile trip home, the bearings stayed cool and the tires appear to be in good condition although they are not new. Brake lights and directional are working. This trailer will be sold with a bill of sale.

Vintage Tee Nee Boat Trailer

Up for sale is a vintage Tee Nee Trailer, not sure of age, but guess it at a 1958. Great condition. Has been painted a couple of times, absolutely NO rust. Very easily to restore this unit or use as is. Missing a couple of the rollers. Has one new rim, The guy I bought it from says he has the other original, will go with the trailer if found. Small dent on the right fender on front. Would look great under your vintage boat. Located in southern Wi. Can deliver to Minneapolis or along the way for free if that helps. Otherwise must pick up in Spring Green, WI. If not sold I am going to restore it and take it to a wood boat show and sell it. Also am looking for a couple of the tail lights that mount on Tee Nee fenders.

1950 Airfloat Skipper

1950 Airfloat "Skipper". This highly desirable and rare 16 foot beauty features the iconic porthole windows and porthole vents. This shorter version (16') is very difficult to find as not many were manufactured. The outside is polished and nearly perfect with all of the original marker, tail, and porch lights. It also has an original license plate. The inside is completely refurbished with vintage correct upholstery and lighting. The water system has new black and grey holding tanks and a new water pump. The electrical system is a fused 12 volt and 120 volt inverter system. The propane system has 2 new tanks and all lines are new. It also has all new appliances including: stove/oven, microwave, 2-way refrigerator, and heater/air conditioner. This sleeps 4 with a fold down convertible couch and the fold down dinette. This model does not have a restroom. May be possible to add one in a closet. All weather stripping has been replaced. It has the original hubcaps that are re-chromed and period correct wide whitewall tires. This restored beauty would make anyone a proud owner. Because of it's short length is is easy to tow. Be the only one around with this rare vintage trailer.

5 single axle floorplans all under 3000lbs. These floorplans consist of 3 non-bunk options and 2 bunk models. Each trailer is 7’- wide and are SUV, mini-van, and small truck towable.

6 single axle floorplans all under 4000lbs. These 6 floorplans are part of our exclusivity series. The floorplans are unique to our brand only – hence exclusive for you! These floorplans options give campers upgraded amenities, open-space floorplan concepts, and our unique 3-in-1 “space-saver” front-end layout. Unlike the conventional murphy-bed feature, our “wall-bed” / dinette configuration is known as a space-creator by offering a family room, living room and bedroom configuration all in a single 5’x8’ area (37 square feet of space). All bunks models feature upgraded double-over-double bunks. All trailers have a large refrigerator option and quick-connect gas lines standard for outside kitchen upgrades. 5K & 6K Series

The 5K and 6K Series of tandems axles are built for our loyal followers who want to stay with the brand but have outgrown our single axles. The 5K SERIES are 8’ wide and sub 5000lbs. And the 6K SERIES are also 8’-wide and around 6000lbs. They consist of rear-living couples’ coaches and special bunk layouts (east-to-west configuration). These floorplans are mostly offered by dealers who carry our full trailer lineup.

Specifications Definitions

GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) – is the maximum permissible weight, including cargo, fluids, optional equipment and accessories that can be safely supported by a combination of all axles.

UVW (Unloaded Vehicle Weight)* - is the typical weight of the unit as manufactured at the factory. It includes all weight at the unit’s axle(s) and tongue or pin and LP Gas. The UVW does not include cargo, fresh potable water, additional optional equipment or dealer installed accessories. *Estimated Average based on standard build optional equipment.

CCC (Cargo Carrying Capacity)** - is the amount of weight available for fresh potable water, cargo, additional optional equipment and accessories. CCC is equal to GVWR minus UVW. Available CCC should accommodate fresh potable water (8.3 lbs per gallon). Before filling the fresh water tank, empty the black and gray tanks to provide for more cargo capacity. **Estimated Average based on standard build optional equipment.

Each Forest River RV is weighed at the manufacturing facility prior to shipping. A label identifying the unloaded vehicle weight of the actual unit and the cargo carrying capacity is applied to every Forest River RV prior to leaving our facilities.

The load capacity of your unit is designated by weight, not by volume, so you cannot necessarily use all available space when loading your unit.

Hi all, New member here. I just picked up a restored 1962 Elgin 14′ runabout with a 1958 Elgin Skipper 35HP motor. I’m new to the vintage boat thing and had a few questions:

1) The carb has 2 mixture screws (high and low speed) and a small knob underneath that I don’t know its function. It appears to be spring loaded (push action) and maybe turns too? Anyone know what it’s for?

2) I’m not familiar with the remote control operation. Trying them out with the engine off, it seems like there’s some type of interlock that only allows one of the levers to move if the other one is in a specific position. Can anyone tell me the proper operation?

I believe that the motor is made by West Bend, so if you can find a West Bend manual, you might find what you need. Could the other little knob you describe be a “bowl drain” on the carb?

bring the tall throttle handle back to idle then you can shift F N R may need to be running or turning it over. I agree on the small knob carb drain . IF it does not leak DON’T mess with it.

Thanks, guys. It came with a service manual, but strangely has little to say about the carb and nothing about the remote controls. It runs fine, but I haven’t put it in the water yet. I’ll fire it up in a drum full of water and play with it some more.

As planned, I started it up in a drum of water and it seems to run pretty well. However, even though the control was in neutral, it appeared that the prop was turning, judging by the amount of water being churned. When the motor is off and in neutral, the prop spins freely and has the expected resistance when in gear. Is it possible that the motor jumps into gear when under power?

Also, there was a significant black oil slick in the drum after running the motor for less than 5 minutes. Bad news?

One more thing – any idea what these 2 holes are for in the shaft housing?

FYI – I’m a decent mechanic, but new to boats.

Thanks. Where do you think the oil is coming from? See pic. Looks like a lot and smells pretty strong. Left a black ring on the trashcan when I dumped it out. Is there crankcase oil that gets changed (and could be leaking)?

No video. I’ll try to remember next time I fire it up.

You put oil in the gas. Guess where it goes? Yep, out the exhaust and into the barrel.
