Taylor Swift finished off the U.S. leg of The Eras Tour with a special announcement.

The Grammy-winning musician performed her final show of the U.S. portion of her highly-grossing tour last night. While on stage after the “1989” set, she announced to the crowd that the re-recording of the album, “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” would be available on October 27, with an additional five new vault tracks.

During the concert, Swift left several Easter eggs that the new album was coming. She wore five new versions of outfits she have previously donned during the tour, this time in a blue shade, since “1989” is associated with the color. She debuted a new blue two-piece sparkly set from Roberto Cavalli during the “1989” set as well as a matching dress from Jessica Jones for the surprise songs set. She paired each of these look with blue crystal booties from Christian Louboutin. Swift also wore a new blue dress for the “Folklore” set.

Swift also debuted a new ballgown for the “Speak Now” portion of the evening. She wore a sparkly crystal dress with a halter neckline from Nicole + Felicia.

On Tuesday night, Swift brought out a new blue look for her “Midnights” set, the final portion of the concert. She wore a new blue bodysuit from Zuhair Murad, that many fans thought resembled a blue sequin bodysuit she wore during the original “1989” World Tour in 2015. Swift wore the new bodysuit again on Wednesday night.

While the U.S leg is over for now, Swift isn’t taking anytime off soon. She begins the international leg of The Eras Tour on August 24 in Mexico City. She is set to complete the tour on November 23, 2024 in Toronto.

All of Taylor Swift's Best 1989 Tour Outfits So Far

By Kathryn Amey

Taylor Swift is our ultimate girl crush. When she's not writing catchy chart-topping tracks, she's dating some of the cutest boys in Hollywood (and London), providing us with serious #squadgoals thanks to her BFF-filled Instagrams, and, of course, acting as a constant source of major fashion inspiration.

And yes, that extends to every outfit she's worn during her 1989 World Tour—during the three shows that have happened so far, at least. From sparkly bandeau tops to a jacket that can only be described as 'disco ball-esque,' Taylor has really kicked it up a notch with her on-stage ensembles. Say goodbye to her signature pastel prints and ladylike cocktail dresses—her latest tour look is far more "Bad Blood" than "Blank Space."

Here are Teen Vogue's favorite picks so far...

But the piece de resistance is this bedazzled body suit, which is giving us serious Brittney circa her "Toxic" music video flashbacks. Not that we're complaining—Tay is positively Shutting. It. Down. in this outfit.

For a real stage style statement, Taylor matched said sparkly bandeau top with a glittering royal blue skater skirt and an eye-catching jacket that redefines what it means to be 'disco ball chic.' Yes, it's a thing.

Taylor Swift Debuted Brand-New Costumes During Her First Eras Tour Show in Paris

And that's not the only change she made.

1989 tour outfit blue

Getty Images

It's hard to count the ways in which Taylor Swift's Eras Tour broke records. There's the innovative format (which took fans on a winding recap of her career, reliving hit after hit and the years they dominated the radio) plus the show's status as the highest-grossing tour in history, having brought in over $1 billion by the end of 2023. Maybe most indicative of its staying power is the fact that it's still making headlines. On May 9, 2024, over a year after the tour began, Swift gave her first performance following the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, in Paris. After much fan speculation, she revealed a dozen dazzling updates to the show.

Here are all the new outfits, song changes, and set details.

A New Look for the Lover Era

JULIEN DE ROSA/Getty Images

The pop star opened the tour in a brand-new orange and red bodysuit. In past iterations of the tour, she wore a similar costume in shades of pink and blue.

The Intro Now Includes Samples of TTPD

Before Swift enters the stage at each show, an opening track plays with samples of songs from each era, giving guests a taste of what's to come. During her May 9 show in Paris, a new intro played including snippets from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department .

A New Fearless Costume

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty Images

The singer wore a new silver and black dress for the Fearless portion of the set, referencing a similar dress she wore on her original Fearless tour in 2009.

A New Era Dedicated to 'The Tortured Poets Department'

New album, new era. Swift performed the songs 'But Daddy I Love Him," "Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?", "Fortnight," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" in a new white dress decorated with text, almost like the pages of a book. She also included short samples of "So High School" and "Down Bad."

The section included noteworthy new choreography. Just before performing I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, Swift lay limp like a rag doll while dancers in top hats dressed her up to the tune of circus music. They then push her forward onto the stage, though her gestures remain hesitant. Some have speculated that the performance is a metaphor for the first months of The Eras tour, in which Swift performed back-to-back shows right after her break up from actor Joe Alwyn .

The song that follows includes lyrics like "Lights, camera, bitch smile, even when you wanna die" and "All the pieces of me shattered as the crowd was chanting, more." The accompanying music video includes visuals from the tour.

Folklore and Evermore Are Combined (With a New Costume)

Kevin Mazur/TAS24 /Getty Images

The Folklore and Evermore eras once stood on their own, but in the updated set Swift joined them. “We have now reunited the sisters and combined them into one chapter,” she said . She alternated songs from each album wearing a never-before-seen yellow dress from Alberta Ferretti.

She Nixed Existing Songs

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty images

Given the show already surpassed three hours, adding new songs meant having to nix existing ones. Swift axed fan favorites from Folklore, Evermore, Lover, Fearless, and Speak Now , including “The Archer,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “The 1,” “’Tis the Damn Season,” “Tolerate It,” "Fearless' "Evermore" and "Long Live."

A New Red Costume

Swift sported a new top for the show's Red era: a white T-shirt that read 'This is not Taylor's version.'

New Sequencing

Swift moved up Speak Now, performing songs from the album right after the Red era and pushed back the now-combined Folklore/Evermore section to follow Reputation . After 1989 she launched into a brand new The Tortured Poets Department section, and rounded things out with her usual surprise songs and Midnights era.

A New 1989 Outfit

For the 1989 portion of the show, Swift wore a pink ombré top and a blue ombré miniskirt. Her shoes were mismatched, with the right boot matching her top and the left referencing her skirt.

A New Acoustic Set Dress

The Grammy winner debuted a hot pink mini dress for the surprise section of the set. At the May 9 show in Paris she (fittingly) played the songs "Paris" and "loml," a ballad from her new album.

Another New Acoustic Set Dress

On her third night performing in Paris, the star wore a new orange dress during her acoustic set. She played Hey Stephen and Maroon.

A New Midnights Costume

Swift ended the the first Paris show in another new outfit. The blue bodysuit is similar in color to previous Midnight's costumes, but features a new silhouette with cutouts on the ribs and a a keyhole near the chest.

On the third night she switched things up again, debuting a glittering purple dress and coat.

New Transitions and Visuals

The updated show's Speak Now section is preceded by flowers blooming on the stage's screen, while Reputation ends with a snake slithering into the woods, signaling the start of the now combined Folklore and Evermore era. The Tortured Poets Department era includes spaceship visuals and old Hollywood motifs.

100+ Taylor Swift Eras Tour Outfit Ideas + What to Wear to A Taylor Swift Concert!

Updated: 2 days ago

1989 tour outfit blue

It's been a long time coming but.... it's been a crazy few years for miss Taylor Swift. She's dropped hint after hint, easter egg after easter egg, song after song, music video after music video!! She's truly a great entertainer and artist, and genuinely one of my favorite musicians to fangirl over.

I got tickets to Taylor Swift's Era's tour, and am trying to decide what era I should go as. . I can't wait to see what Taylor Swift's concert outfits are for this tour!

What do I wear to a Taylor Swift concert? Especially to the Eras tour?

Attendees are planning to wear outfits inspired by their favorite Taylor Swift era. There are ten eras total: Taylor Swift (Self-Titled), Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights. Each era has its own vibe, color aesthetic, and specific pieces Taylor wore during those periods. For example, Reputation is an absolute classic, with snake print, black leather, and tons of sass. Or maybe the Red era? I mean, that one IS my favorite Taylor Swift album. Come as a sad autumn girl with a red scarf, black high-waisted shorts and oxfords— that's definitely a vibe.

But as I was thinking through this, I thought maybe I could make mood boards and help others find the perfect Taylor Swift outfits from amazon to wear to Taylor Swift's concert on her The Eras Tour! I assure you, while putting this list together, with each era I worked on I listened to the album ;) Guaranteed inspiration!

Because of each stadium's bag policy, concert-goers need to bring a clear see-through bag to the venue. Here are a few realyl cute ones I've found. The first is pretty simple, but you can find clear bags that are really stylized to fit your eras tour outfit!

I'm also seeing a lot of people at Taylor Swift's concerts wearing body glitter and hair gems! Here are some options online that are great for doing glitzy hair and makeup the day of the Eras tour concert. The hair gem style has been SUPER popular, and you'll find a lot of other gals at the tour that are rocking similar!

1989 tour outfit blue

To start off, here are a few pieces that would be good for any of her eras. Concert attendees are wearing "Friendship Bracelets" (a nod to the song You're On Your Own Kid), and the era's charm bracelet as well, which are both available on Amazon!

The Tortured poets Department (TTPD) Era

Blondie's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," not only captivates with its haunting melodies and introspective lyrics but also showcases a distinct fashion style and creative direction that I absolutely love. Drawing inspiration from the album's themes of introspection, longing, and poetic melancholy, Swift's fashion aesthetic exudes a sense of timeless elegance fused with dangerous edge. She's been donning a mix of vintage-inspired pieces and modern silhouettes, often layered with intricate details like lace, embroidery, and statement accessories.

How to dress in Taylor Swift's TTPD era outfits

To capture Taylor Swift's "The Tortured Poets Department" era style, channel a blend of romanticism and vintage flair. Taylor has established a very dark, romantic and victorian feel for this era, both in her promo photos and videos, but also her new set at the Eras tour (premiered in Paris, May 2024).

The Tortured Poets Department vibe:  whites, victorian details, old-time 20's era makeup, and anything that feels like pure unadultered female rage. ;)

Taylor Swift's Stage Outfits

If you want to come to the concert the MOST prepared, you can dress like the current Era: the Eras era! Pretty meta, right? Here are some of the outfits that Taylor's been wearing on her tour that you can recreate in your concert outfit:

1989 tour outfit blue

Stage outfit 1— Midnights era Lavender Haze jacket

Taylor wears a pink/lavender sparkly dress with a fun faux-fur lavender coat. You can find a super sparkly dress and add a lavender faux fur coat, and look just like Taylor!

1989 tour outfit blue

Stage outfit 2— Evermore era pink dress

Taylor's whimsical pink dress during her Evermore era is GORGEOUS. Play up your own ethereal vibe and wear a similar dress to the Eras tour!

1989 tour outfit blue

Stage outfit 3— Reputation era jumpsuit

Taylor wears this awesome one-legged jumpsuit with red snakes all over it. You can buy a black sparkly jumpsuit and attach red snake appliqués to create a look similar to it.

1989 tour outfit blue

Stage outfit 4— Sparkly RED era jacket

The RED era (my favorite!) has Taylor donning a long red sparkle trench coat. You can look similar to this in either this red velvet long trench I've found, or a men's sparkly suit jacket!

1989 tour outfit blue

Stage outfit 5— "A LOT Going On At The Moment" shirt

She's reinvented her own RED era look with a shirt that instead of saying "Not a lot going on at the moment" it says "A LOT going on at the moment"! I've found a shirt that says exactly that new phrase on Amazon. Taylor also pairs it with a pair of sparkly black bottoms and a black hat.

1989 tour outfit blue

Stage outfit 6— 1989 era green two piece

A very Taylor typical outfit, more sparkles! And this time we're working with fun and bright green. She has a sparkle fringed two piece set on stage.

Taylor Swift Debut Era

T-Swift's self-titled album is a classic, with songs like "Picture to Burn", "Stay Beautiful", and "Should've Said No". With so many Taylor Swift album era options, this one will surely stand out and be super identifiable.

Taylor Swift's debut album is a whimsical journey through the enchanting world of teenage dreams and heartaches. Bursting with charm and a sprinkle of country sweetness, the album encapsulates the essence of Taylor's early years as a rising star. The aesthetic is like a vintage photo album, filled with snapshots of innocent crushes, teardrop-stained diaries, and the magic of first loves. The vibe is undeniably cute, as Taylor's relatable lyrics and catchy melodies transport you to a world where love letters are written in glittery pens, and every emotion is felt with an extra touch of sparkle. It's a musical hug from the past that leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a desire to dance around your room like no one's watching.

How to dress in Taylor Swift (Self-Titled) era outfits

When you want to dress like the self-titled Taylor Swift album, you've got to transport yourself back to good ol' 2006! That means low rise flare jeans, floral dresses, and plenty of cowgirl boots. Taylor's look back then involved more soft, butterfly-like looks that harken back to her country roots.

The Taylor Swift Debut vibe: Teals, greens, butterfly, cowgirl, floral, low rise jeans, and flannels.

Where to find these Taylor Swift (Debut Album) outfits:

Moving onto Taylor Swift's sophomore album, Fearless...

Taylor Swift Fearless Albums Taylor's version

Fearless Era (Plus Taylor's Version)

Fearless is when Taylor Swift really started to gain speed in the music industry, and the era evokes an true nostalgia for the early Tay years!

Taylor Swift's "Fearless" album, both the original and Taylor's version, exude a timeless charm that feels like a musical hug from a dear friend. The aesthetic is a blend of sunlit fields and starlit nights, capturing the essence of young love and fearless adventures. With a dash of country twang and a sprinkle of pop magic, the album's vibe is irresistibly cute, much like a handwritten love letter sealed with a kiss. Taylor's reimagined version adds an extra layer of nostalgia, like finding a cherished childhood toy in the attic. It's a journey back to a place where heartbreaks were mended with laughter, and every melody carried the promise of a new beginning. The vibe is like a cozy sweater, warm and comforting, inviting you to relive those moments and create new memories with the same wide-eyed wonder.

Taylor Swift Fearless era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift Fearless era outfits

She loves sparkly dresses. Always has, always will. But this was the first era to REALLY bring that to the forefront. Soft whimsical touches, earthy kind of feelings, with a little bit of edginess.

The Taylor Swift Fearless vibe: Golds, sparkly dresses, fairy-tale fluff, elastic headbands, cowgirl boots, and boho.

Where to find these outfits:

Next up is Taylor Swift's third album, Speak Now! You can get inspired by the original Speak Now era, or the new Taylor's Version.

Taylor Swift speak now album era

Speak Now Era

A fairytale in a nutshell, Speak Now era is like a sparkly purple dream.

Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" album is a whimsical fairy tale spun with the threads of love, courage, and a sprinkle of daydream magic. The aesthetic is like a storybook come to life, filled with enchanted forests and castle walls where Taylor fearlessly takes center stage. The vibe is both daring and adorable, as if each song were a secret whispered in a moonlit garden. With a blend of country roots and pop melodies, the album dances through the pages of a romantic novel, where every chorus is a chapter and every bridge a thrilling plot twist. It's a musical adventure that invites you to join Taylor in a world where love conquers all, and each note is a charming invitation to step into a dreamscape where happily ever afters are set to a delightful melody.

How to dress in Taylor Swift Speak Now era outfits

I tapped into a few iconic Taylor Swift outfits from the Speak Now era, which welcomed in her love for oxfords, vintage pieces, and an overall romantic take on everything. Finding the perfect halter purple dress from Speak Now era is ESSENTIAL. I've added the one I found below!

The Taylor Swift Speak Now vibe: Purple EVERYTHING, the number 13, slouchy beanies, flannels, twee Oxford heels, whimsical dresses, and revenge. Lots of revenge.

Here are some more modern versions of the Speak Now era (now with Taylor's Version!!)

Next is my FAVORITE era, the RED era!

Taylor Swift red album era

Red Era (Plus Taylor's Version)

Arguably the best Taylor Swift album, hands down. RED is my personal favorite from her discography, mostly because this is the era where I because a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, rather than just a casual listener. All of the raw pain and anguish in this album make this era (and the TV era!) probably what I'm going to choose for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour!

Taylor Swift's RED era is a sartorial symphony of passion and bold statements. The clothing aesthetic is a captivating blend of vintage glamour and modern sophistication, reflecting the album's emotional rollercoaster. Taylor dons iconic red dresses that symbolize both heartbreak and empowerment, showcasing her fearless style evolution. Picture timeless silhouettes, chic high-waisted shorts, and classic red lips that become a signature touch. The vibe is a mix of retro vibes and contemporary chic, with Taylor effortlessly balancing elegance and edge. From the glitzy red-carpet gowns to the laid-back yet stylish streetwear, every outfit in the RED era tells a story of self-discovery and resilience. It's a fashion journey that captures the essence of love, loss, and the vibrant hues of a life lived unapologetically.

Taylor Swift RED era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift RED era outfits

This era probably has some of the most iconic fashion moments of Taylor Swift's career. The Taylor Swift red tour outfits were amazing. The "We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together" and "22" looks just scream 2012! Now ten years later in 2022, this style is still just as amazing and showstoppping... and iconically RED . Try to find a good striped shirt and some tailored high waisted shorts, and add a pair of red Keds to complete the look!

The Taylor Swift RED vibe: The color red (bright, like the original, or deep, like Taylor's Version), spectator Oxford shoes, heart sunglasses, fedora hats, high wasted shorts, and KEDS.

1989 tour outfit blue

The "Not a lot going on at the moment" shirt is a classic for sure. You can buy it below. Also, with Taylor's new tour, she has a shirt that says "A LOT going on at the moment" too, which is featured here where I have some outfit ideas that are inspired by her concert looks from this Eras era!

During the show, Taylor gives her fedora-type hat to someone special in the audience. You can match her by wearing a black hat from her RED era!

Onto many people's favorite -- 1989!! This is the most recent Taylor's Version to come out. "1899 (Taylor's Version)" is not just an album; it's a captivating invitation to step into a lyrical ballroom where each song is a dance through time, and Taylor is the enchanting guide, gracefully leading us through the echoes of a century past.

A HUGE era for Taylor, commercially and her tour! She has so many fun and glitzy looks from this 1989 era. I pulled some Taylor Swift tour costumes from amazon that will make people double-take.... wait, is that Taylor Swift?? No? Shake it off!

How to dress in Taylor Swift 1989 era outfits

Be sure to wear plenty of sequins, shiny fabrics, and two-piece outfits for a true 1989 era look from Taylor Swift! Add on the quintessential white rayon-type sunglasses to look like a true 1989 fan.

The Taylor Swift 1989 vibe: Sequins! Lots of blues and silver sparkles, crop tops, white rayon sunglasses, and sparkly fringe.

1989 tour outfit blue

One of these outfits is a callback to Taylor's look at the 2016 Grammy Awards. I think it's such a unique outfit to wear to the Era's tour, because it's not exactly a "era" look, but something SO iconic from that era! Also, can you GET more 1989 than a pair of white rayon sunglasses? They were a staple piece in Taylor Swift's 1989 era.

A callback to a Swift inside joke, the yellow "No It's Becky" shirt is available on amazon!

Seagulls everywhere, on everything. With the new 1989 Taylor's Version coming out, the coastal pale blue vibe is going to be a good choice.

If you want to be a little silly, you could come literally dressed like a seagull:

Reputation Era

This era is the most similar to my own personal style, so when I attended the Rep tour, I was living my best life!! All her songs have a pop edge to them, so make sure to dress accordingly.

How to dress in Taylor Swift Reputation era outfits

Wear as much snake print, black, fishnet, and combat-wear you can find. The more you look like a hell-raiser, the better for Taylor Swift reputation outfits. I've added in a few cool amazon t-shirts in here as well from the era!

The Taylor Swift Reputation vibe: Snake print, black sequins, camouflage print, chains, combat boots, and slicked back hair.

Much like her album cover, you can find a newspaper Reputation dress below!

Lover was all bright pink and multicolored, and it was AMAZING. The fun songs (and some deep love songs) created an incredible album from Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift Lover era outfit ideas

Pink, lots of pink. Actually, all pink. Just kidding! I put together some outfit ideas that are inspired by some of her performance looks and music video outfits from the Lover era.

The Taylor Swift Lover vibe: Lots of pink, multicolor, fringe, pearls, iridescence, hearts, and sweetness all around.

Grab a hot pink jacket and pearl sunglasses to look like Taylor from "You Need to Calm Down"! Choosing to wear a pastel sky print is such a Lover look, similar to her album cover!

Check out these gorgeous Lover-esque earrings and accessories:

Just like in the "ME!" music video, you can wear a heart shaped top like Taylor for the concert.

Makeup for your Lover eras tour outfit

If you're wanting to dress up as Taylor's Lover era, it's a sweet detail to do the heart shape makeup over her eye like she does on her album cover! In order to do that, you'll need two main items: liquid latex and skin-safe pink glitter. You can find them here:

1989 tour outfit blue

I've used the liquid latex above before and it works really well. All you'll need to do is outline the heart around your eye with the liquid latex, wait for it to get tacky, and then apply the pink glitter!

Taylor swift Folklore album era

Folklore Era

If you aren't the sparkly-dress Taylor Swift fan, and want to be a sad cottage-core girl, here is your chance! This album screams alone-in-the-woods-and-in-the-feels.

Taylor Swift Folklore era outfit ideas

Tap into the cottage-core look and opt for some comfy sweaters, cardigans, and ditsy floral prints. I've grabbed a few items that look similar to the outfits she wore on some of her photoshoots from this era.

The Taylor Swift folklore vibe: Knit sweaters, plaid jackets, chunky boots, mushrooms, trees and a general folksy vibe.

Evermore Era

Am I crazy to say that Evermore is one of my favorite TSwift albums? It's definitely the most forgotten one, but WOW does it have some bops, both sad and lovely.

Taylor Swift evermore era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift Evermore era outfits

This era was so short-lived, but it gave us some beautiful looks! An easy go-to would be the brown/orange plaid jacket from Evermore. (I've linked on similar) Also, the Willow music video is a huge inspiration for these, and other Swifties will know exactly what you're going for!

The Taylor Swift evermore vibe: Deep plaids, ethereal jewelry, greens, leather boots, turtlenecks, and flown dresses.

From the "Willow" music video, you can choose a more whimsical and fairy-like look to fit in with the Evermore era! Below you can also find a dark green velvet cape like she wears during her Evermore set at the Eras Tour!

Midnights Era

Midnights only came out a few weeks ago while I'm writing this, so I'm still reeling from this album release! I know from the second I hear "Anti-Hero" that it would be an instant classic.

Taylor Swift Midnights era outfit ideas

How to dress in Taylor Swift Midnights era outfits

When it comes to the looks from Midnights era, they span from glitzy blue midnight dresses and plenty of sparkles, mixed with vintage looks that evoke a sense of 70s retro. Combining these all together will be the ultimate Midnights tour outfit!

The Taylor Swift Midnights vibe: Honestly, Taylor's Midnights aesthetic is all over the place, but can be boiled down to: 70s vintage, starry night, retro, oranges, blues, lavender, clocks, and anything, and I mean anything that is bejeweled.

Inspired by her 70's glam looks in much of the material for the release of her album midnights, you can don some burnt orange and corduroy and fit in well! The top and fur jacket look similar to the starry dress Taylor wore out when she was promoting "Midnights". For a more casual "Midnights" look, you can wear this sheer celestial top as well. Check out some of these that also scream "Lavender Haze"!

1989 tour outfit blue

Where're ya going? You going out tonight? ;)

You can find a corset similar to Taylor's from her "Bejeweled" music video!

I hope you find some awesome inspiration on what to wear to Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour! See ya there :)

Such cute outfits and a big help

Amazing! It really lifts my spirits that I've helped other Swifties find a good outfit for the Era tour. I hope your concert is epic!

This was so helpful I got so many compliments on my outfit

Yay!!!! I'm so, so glad this helped, it makes me so happy. I'm excited for my tour stop (Pittsburg!) to show off my Taylor Swift era outfit; I'm going with Red.

This is an amazing resource! I’m still looking for Red inspo. Do you have any pant/shirt ideas? I’m not into dresses that much.

Thank you so much! If I find anything worth sharing, I’ll put the links down here.

Taylor Swift Brought Out a New Look for the ‘1989’ Section of ‘The Eras Tour’

Image of Rachel Leishman

Taylor Swift is back on tour, ushering in a sea of Swifties analyzing everything, down to the colors of her outfits and what all of the changes mean for each section of the tour. Now we get to do that again during the European leg of the tour.

One of the biggest reveals of her Paris concert is that Swift has a new outfit for the 1989 part of her concert. The new look is a sparkly crop top with a sparkly skirt and matching sparkly Christian Louboutin boots. Previously the outfit was a Roberto Cavalli matching fringe bra and mini skirt. The new 1989 outfit brings us right back into that era of Swift’s life, as fans will remember she would wear those skirts often back in 2014.

The details of the outfit are fun: The top is an ombré pink, the skirt is an ombré turquoise color, and the shoes are mismatched, with one being the pink coloring and the other being the turquoise color. A user on X (formerly known as Twitter), joked “With all these changes, Taylor should rename it the Eras Tour (Europe’s Version) ” and they’re not wrong. She did open the Europe tour and say “time for change” in the eyes of fans.

With the new outfit came a change to the setlist as well. Swift, who recently released The Tortured Poets Department , added songs from the album to the tour.  “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” were all added to the set. And that means that other songs were cut.

But back to this new 1989 outfit

Many fans online pointed out that the change in the 1989 outfit does feel like the original tour looks that Swift was wearing at the time. During The 1989 Tour , Swift had a lot of cropped sparkly tops and sparkly skirts as part of her wardrobe!

@jessicagolich Omg I’m obsessed with the new 1989 fit!! ?? #new1989outfiterastourparis #erastourparisnight1 #erastourfrance #parisnight1 #pariststheerastour #swifties ♬ original sound – JessicaGolich

While her previous fringe top is also a staple of Swift’s wardrobe, this is a much more fitting look for that era of her concerts. Plus it is now another outfit I justwant to add to my wardrobe too!

Taylor Swift performing songs from The Tortured Poets Department during the Eras Tour

Every outfit Taylor Swift wears on the Eras Tour, ranked

  • Taylor Swift recently kicked off the European leg of The Eras Tour .
  • She has worn over 60 different outfits onstage, with unique styles for each album.
  • BI's music team ranked them from worst to best, with the original "Lover" bodysuit in the top spot.

Insider Today

The European leg of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is underway, and the pop star came armed with a new slate of songs and designer outfits.

The Eras Tour is arranged as a retrospective of Swift's career, spanning nearly two decades and 11 studio albums . Swift does several outfit changes during a single concert, and each segment has a unique aesthetic to match the album in question.

We ranked every outfit Swift has worn onstage from worst to best.

63. The surprise song dress in yellow

1989 tour outfit blue

Each night during the Eras Tour, Taylor Swift performs an acoustic set with two surprise songs .

The dress for this segment is designed for a quick change; Swift slips it over the "1989" outfit while still on stage. It makes sense for the dress to be plain. But it doesn't make sense for the fabric to be the same color as Big Bird.

Frankly, the yellow dress is ugly. It's way too yellow.

62. The surprise song dress in orange

1989 tour outfit blue

It's way too orange.

61. The surprise song dress in green

1989 tour outfit blue

The green dress isn't terrible, but it's not especially stunning either.

60. The surprise song dress in pink

1989 tour outfit blue

The original pink variant still isn't anything to write home about, but generally speaking, Swift looks good in pink.

59. The surprise song dress in the other shade of pink

1989 tour outfit blue

I do appreciate that Swift eschewed the butterfly sleeves and unnecessary ruffles for this updated variant, but this dress still looks like it came from Forever 21.

58. The surprise song dress in blue

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift wore blue versions of several classic tour looks for the night she announced "1989 (Taylor's Version)."

Blue is the best option for a surprise song dress, partially because the color complements Swift's eyes that put those Georgia stars to shame  and partially because it reminds me of Sharpay Evans singing "Bop to the Top."

57. The surprise song dress in the other shade of blue

1989 tour outfit blue

You know the drill by now. This one is fine, but not great. Mostly it just looks simpler and cheaper than we'd expect from a billionaire — likely an intentional choice aligned with Swift's masterful PR strategy .

56. "1989" in pink and blue

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift debuted a new collection of designer looks in Nanterre, France , the first stop on the tour's European leg.

The latest "1989" style by Roberto Cavalli is a sequined top and mismatched skirt, much like the skater skirts from the album's original era .

Unfortunately, the pink and blue ombré combination feels juvenile, perhaps because it reminds me of gender reveal parties .

55. "1989" in orange and purple

1989 tour outfit blue

During her second concert in France, Swift debuted another variation of this look in orange and purple (with mismatched gold and purple shoes). It's not much better than the first version.

True, Swift doesn't look like a cartoon chipmunk in this color combination, but she does somewhat resemble Dora the Explorer , or a Tide Pod .

54. "1989" in green and pink

1989 tour outfit blue

This is not a designer outfit, this is a watermelon-flavored gummy candy.

53. "1989" in yellow and red

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift debuted this red-and-yellow getup during her final performance in France, which also happened to be show No. 87 on The Eras Tour.

Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce , who was spotted in the audience, wears No. 87 for the Kansas City Chiefs. The team's colors are red and yellow .

This variant does remind me of the McDonald's logo, but the color combo gets extra points for Swift's grand romantic gesture. ( Karma is the guy on the Chiefs , haven't you heard?)

52. "Folklore" in yellow

1989 tour outfit blue

The tiered and embroidered " Folklore " outfits, custom-made by Alberta Ferretti , are almost always winners. The flowy style makes Swift look like a friendly witch, much like her recent collaborator Florence Welch , which is a compliment.

However, this one doesn't suit the era's aesthetic one bit. The mismatch is especially glaring during " My Tears Ricochet ," which is intended to parallel a funeral procession .

This dress was likely designed to evoke the fusion of "Folklore" and "Evermore" into one segment, which came with Swift's newly altered setlist for the European leg. But still, as we previously established, yellow is not Swift's color. It doesn't work.

51. "Folklore" in pink

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift unveiled a berry-pink rendition of the woodsy "Folklore" gown during her second show in France.

Much like my previous complaint, this is the wrong color for the sister albums segment of the show.

The songs that populate "Folklore" and "Evermore" are full of yearning, betrayal, regret, depression, and even murder . These are not the hot-girl party bops of "1989" or "Midnights," which call for brighter hues and more pizzazz.

And if you think I'm being too nitpicky, I'll kindly remind you that Swift has embraced each album's individual color theory, down to the official Eras Tour branding . I'm simply following her lead.

50. The "Speak Now" ballgown that's growing mushrooms

1989 tour outfit blue

The flowers plopped all over this dress are flimsy and weird-looking. I would be glad to never see it again.

49. The "Red" romper

1989 tour outfit blue

Honestly, Swift's outfits never slay during the "Red" segment, but the ombre romper is the worst offender. It's not terrible, but it doesn't do anything for her.

48. The "All Too Well" jacket

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift dons glittery, floor-grazing outerwear to perform " All Too Well (10 Minute Version) ," which helps make the "Red" segment a bit more sophisticated — though it doesn't match the somber vibe of the song. I much preferred the sleek look that Swift wore to perform the song on "Saturday Night Live."

47. The "22" shirt

1989 tour outfit blue

There are six versions of this shirt, inspired by an outfit worn by Swift in the "22" music video : "A lot going on at the moment," " We are never getting back together like ever ," "Who's Taylor Swift anyway? Ew," "This is not Taylor's Version," " I bet you think about me ," and, most recently, " I knew you were trouble ." The shirt is always paired with a black bowler hat.

This look doesn't exactly scream high fashion, but it gets extra points for the nostalgia factor. The hat is ugly, but it gets even more extra points for the cuteness factor, since Swift always gives it to a special fan in the crowd .

46. The "Fearless" dress in gold

1989 tour outfit blue

This is a custom Roberto Cavalli dress , embellished with Swarovski crystals, but somehow it looks like a stringy array of ramen noodles .

45. The "Fearless" dress in silver

1989 tour outfit blue

Silver is slightly better than gold, but the tassels still look like octopus tentacles.

44. The cupcake-shaped "Speak Now" ballgown

1989 tour outfit blue

It's too puffy!

43. The "Karma" jacket in pink

1989 tour outfit blue

It's too pink!

42. "Midnights" in pink and purple

1989 tour outfit blue

This is a much nicer shade of pink.

41. "Midnights" in blue and purple

1989 tour outfit blue

Blue is a natural fit for the " Midnights " segment, especially because the standard album cover features a light-blue font.

40. "Midnights" with extra sparkles

1989 tour outfit blue

This version of the T-shirt dress is slightly elevated, with multicolored gems scattered across the fabric.

39. The "Lavender Haze" look

1989 tour outfit blue

The fuzzy coat that opens the "Midnights" segment is a reference to the "Lavender Haze" music video . This connection is most obvious when Swift wears the opalescent T-shirt dress underneath.

It kind of looks like Swift skinned a Muppet to make this coat, but don't worry: she confirmed in a behind-the-scenes clip  that she would never wear real fur.

38. The "Karma" jacket in blue

1989 tour outfit blue

Blue-on-blue is a logical combo for the closing number, if a little predictable.

37. The "Karma" jacket with extra colors

1989 tour outfit blue

The multicolored fringe is a little chaotic, but it's a fun way to spice things up for the final song of the evening.

36. The "Karma" jacket in magenta

1989 tour outfit blue

The contrast between Swift's bright skin, dark-blue bodysuit, and hot-pink fringe is very compelling.

35. The "Tortured Poets" gown

1989 tour outfit blue

I assume the new outfit for " The Tortured Poets Department " segment is designed to look like a "crumpled-up piece of paper lying here," evoking both the tragedy of " All Too Well " and the dark-academia aesthetic of the album itself.

It's a solid concept, but I'm sorry: I simply cannot support Swift's obsession with high-low mullet dresses . I thought we left this trend behind in 2010.

Worse still, the lyrics scrawled on the fabric ("I love you, it's ruining my life," from the single " Fortnight ") make it look like Swift is wearing a high-school theater costume, not a couture Vivienne Westwood gown.

34. The "Tortured Poets" military jacket

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift adds a military jacket atop her "Tortured Poets" gown to sing " The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived ," an impassioned performance that casts Swift as a soldier on the front lines of a battlefield. The look is still a little corny, but at least it fully embraces the theatrical costume vibe.

33. The "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" outfit

1989 tour outfit blue

After singing "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," Swift and her dancers perform a brief skit, in which Swift is forced to strip off her dress, put on heels, and smile through the pain.

The onstage outfit change yields a neutral-colored bralette and matching high-waisted bottoms, subsequently topped with a duster. The different color combos include black and gold, white with silver accents, and sparkly gray with a metallic jacket.

These ensembles recall the jackets and two-piece sets from The 1989 World Tour, combined with the ringmaster motif from the "Red" era.

At the time, Swift was battling an eating disorder and often feared she might faint onstage.

While the new Eras Tour outfit is relatively simple, this callback adds an extra layer of poignance to Swift's performance of " I Can Do It With a Broken Heart ."

32. The classic "Evermore" dress

1989 tour outfit blue

For the majority of the US leg, Swift only had one look for the " Evermore " segment: a mustard-yellow dress that screams cottagecore. It's cute but nothing particularly special, and it has grown a little dull over time.

Note: There is a slightly less saturated version of this dress, but they're so similar, they don't warrant separate entries on this list.

31. The bronze "Evermore" dress

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift has only worn this alternate "Evermore" dress a handful of times, but it made for a nice change of pace — and the deep, sparkling bronze compliments the moody, wintery vibe of songs like "'Tis the Damn Season," "Champagne Problems," and "Tolerate It."

30. The "Speak Now" ballgown in gold

1989 tour outfit blue

The ballgown is a callback to the Speak Now World Tour, when Swift wore sparkly gowns while singing " Enchanted ." For The Eras Tour, Swift pumped up the drama with voluminous skirts and embroidered jewels.

The gold version is fine, but looks slightly cheaper than its counterparts — like an extravagant prom dress.

29. The "Speak Now" ballgown in silver

1989 tour outfit blue

Instead of muted gold, silver offers a lovely contrast with the purple visuals of "Speak Now."

28. The "Speak Now" ballgown in pink

1989 tour outfit blue

The baby-pink version of the "Speak Now" ballgown is the best among the original set of options, with its flattering neckline and strips of sparkles that resemble falling rain.

27. The "Fearless" dress with metallic fringe

1989 tour outfit blue

The newest "Fearless" look that Swift debuted in France is a solid, mid-tier choice. It's much better than the era's stringy options, though it doesn't measure up to the original fringed mini dress.

26. The "Lover" bodysuit with purple tassels

1989 tour outfit blue

The deep purple hue made for an exciting change when Swift debuted this look in East Rutherford, New Jersey — but the tassels throw off the whole effect. They make the bodysuit look cheaper than it is.

25. "1989" in orange

1989 tour outfit blue

The orange set is nice, but it's the weakest link of the original Roberto Cavalli sets (and signals that she'll wear the yellow surprise-song dress. Yuck).

Maybe it's a subtle Easter egg for "Karma," the rumored album that Swift scrapped in between "1989" and "Reputation." (In the music video for "The Man," the word is graffitied on the wall in orange paint.)

24. "1989" in green

1989 tour outfit blue

The green is prettier than orange, but not as pretty as pink.

23. "1989" in pink

1989 tour outfit blue

Although hot pink isn't quite right for the overall vibe of "1989," it does pair well with the girlish charm of " Blank Space " and the fiery passion of " Bad Blood ."

22. "1989" in blue

1989 tour outfit blue

After 26 concerts, we finally got to see Swift perform songs from "1989" wearing the album's distinctive color. This glittering blue set recalls the New York City skyline that inspired Swift's iconic pop songs.

21. The "Midnights" bodysuit with millennial charm

1989 tour outfit blue

The newest edition of the "Midnights" bodysuit was designed by Zuhair Murad. It subtly evokes millennial fashion trends with a halter neckline, waist slits, and a chevron-esque pattern.

20. The "Midnights" bodysuit with cutouts

1989 tour outfit blue

This version of the "Midnights" bodysuit, which Swift debuted in Los Angeles, is likely designed to resemble an outfit that Swift wore during the 1989 World Tour .

It's one of her most daring looks yet , but the sheer patches in the abdomen look a little misplaced.

19. The "Lover" bodysuit in blue and yellow

1989 tour outfit blue

The glitzy "Lover" bodysuits, custom-made by Versace, are always gorgeous. But there's something slightly off about the blue-and-yellow color combination. The tones are too muted to complement the show's opening visuals.

18. The "Lover" bodysuit in orange and pink

1989 tour outfit blue

In theory, this is a strong color combo; it reminds me of a sunset. But in reality, the bodysuit is just slightly too orange.

17. "The Man" blazer in orange

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift slips a bedazzled blazer over her "Lover" bodysuit to perform " The Man " and " You Need to Calm Down ." The latest iteration is a pretty pale orange, though it doesn't feel as powerful as the other options.

16. "The Man" blazer in silver

1989 tour outfit blue

The glittering silver blazer was the first costume change ever seen during The Eras Tour. With the matching red-bottomed Christian Louboutin boots, it remains an effective mix of elements.

15. "The Man" blazer in black

1989 tour outfit blue

We all love the silver blazer, but the black blazer is extremely hot.

14. "Folklore" in blue

1989 tour outfit blue

The sheer, baby-blue cape sleeves are gorgeous, but this color isn't quite the right fit for "Folklore," which is not a blue-sounding album in the slightest.

13. "Folklore" in purple

1989 tour outfit blue

"Folklore" isn't a purple-sounding album either, but this dress does look like something a young widow might wear in a Jane Austen film adaptation , so it works.

12. "Folklore" in cream

1989 tour outfit blue

Cream is a fitting color for "Folklore," an album that evokes earthy and neutral tones.

11. "Folklore" with lace

1989 tour outfit blue

This is only slightly different from "Folklore" in cream, but the lace adds a new edge — romantic and old-timey, well-suited for the "pioneer woman in a forbidden love affair" that Swift imagined while she was writing these songs.

10. The "Speak Now" ballgown in blue

1989 tour outfit blue

Although blue is not the traditional "Speak Now" color, everything about this dress is truly stunning, from the floral details to the elegant train.

Plus, the color recalls a sky-blue ballgown that Swift wore during the original "Speak Now" tour in 2011 , giving this look an extra layer of nostalgic charm.

9. The "Speak Now" ballgown with embellishments

1989 tour outfit blue

The "Speak Now" gown that Swift debuted in France is the best one yet.

The skirt has just enough volume to look elegant instead of puffy — while the delicate, glittering details evoke a similar dress that Swift wore to perform "Enchanted" in 2011 (designed by Reem Acra), which is currently on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville .

8. The original "Midnights" bodysuit

1989 tour outfit blue

The navy bodysuit is an Eras Tour classic, dark and twinkling like midnight rain. It's an almost-perfect choice to close the show.

7. "Folklore" in green

1989 tour outfit blue

Out of all the flowy "Folklore" gowns, green is the best fit for the album's aura. It makes Swift look like a woodland fairy.

6. The original "Fearless" dress

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift's flapper-inspired dress is ideal for performing classics like " You Belong With Me " and " Love Story ." The fringe is fun and youthful, just like the original "Fearless" era, but paired with knee-high boots, it's still chic and modern.

In fact, according to Vogue , the dress is designed to resemble a similar Roberto Cavalli dress that Swift wore during her original "Fearless" tour.

"We chose a beautiful champagne color, which is very Taylor," designer Fausto Puglisi told the magazine.

5. The only "Reputation" outfit

1989 tour outfit blue

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The one-legged "Reputation" jumpsuit, also by Roberto Cavalli, is bold and sexy with a hint of danger, just like the album itself. Puglisi described it as "more of a badass, rock and roll look."

4. The scalloped "Midnights" bodysuit

1989 tour outfit blue

There is something especially ethereal about this version of the "Midnights" bodysuit, custom-made by Oscar de la Renta.

The blue has a slightly warmer, richer tone — a better match for Swift's ocean eyes and pinkish undertones than navy — and the scalloped detailing on the bodice is exquisite up close. Paired with Swift's now-signature garter, this look is a total knockout.

3. "The Man" blazer in hot pink

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift looks like a Barbie come to life in this version of the blazer, which she debuted onstage in Argentina. It also gives her performance of "The Man" a flirty, feminine edge.

2. The "Lover" bodysuit in pink and red

1989 tour outfit blue

Swift also debuted this pink version of her opening look in Argentina. The gorgeous combination of shades, from baby pink to strawberry and fuchsia, compliments the tone of songs like " Cruel Summer " and " Lover ."

1. The original "Lover" bodysuit

1989 tour outfit blue

This was the first outfit Swift wore when she arrived on The Eras Tour stage back in March, and to this day, it remains the best.

The blue, purple, and pink gems create the perfect color combo, especially suited for the warmth and whimsy of the "Lover" era.

My Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' outfit was a last minute '1989'-inspired outfit.

What I Wore To Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Is So Easy To Replicate

This last-minute look was actually the outfit of my (wildest) dreams!

Taylor Swift wasn’t lying when she said she never goes out of style. Revisiting each one of her iconic eras for The Eras Tour proves that. The only issue with impeccable fashion taste is it makes deciding on a specific outfit to wear to the concert that much more difficult for Swifties. Aside from overcoming the first hurdle, which is actually getting a ticket to the show, picking out something to wear might be the toughest thing. What I wore to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was thrown together last minute, and it’s so easy to replicate if you’re looking for ideas.

My TikTok FYP has become #SwiftTok recently with merch hauls from the Eras Tour truck to full videos of certain songs on Swift’s three-hour long setlist . It makes me so happy to see fellow fans getting hyped to finally see Swift after so many years, and my favorite thing to see is everyone’s outfit reveals . Not only are Swifties diehard fans who are great at puzzle solving and finding easter eggs , but they’re also incredibly creative and talented. I’m so impressed at all the rhinestone jean jackets and DIY costumes that look like exact replicas of outfits Swift has worn before.

Since I originally was only going to attend the August shows in Los Angeles, I thought I had plenty of time to come up with a cute and creative Eras Tour outfit of my own. However, seeing all the concert footage made me spontaneously buy a last-minute ticket to one of her shows in Las Vegas. With only two days to plan the perfect ‘fit and $0 to spend after purchasing an expensive resell ticket, I had to work with what I already had in my closet. Under those parameters, I managed to throw together a 1989- inspired Eras Tour outfit that I absolutely loved and would wear again.

How I Styled My 1989 Taylor Swift Eras Tour Outfit

I wore a '1989' outfit to the Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' in Las Vegas.

Along with using only the clothes I had in my closet, I also challenged myself to find an outfit that was comfy but not too boring. I was going to the Eras Tour alone , which is already nerve-racking for anyone with social anxiety. I didn’t want to add more stress on myself by wearing something that would draw too much attention or make me uncomfortable. At the same time, Swifties are going all out with their concert attire and I didn’t want to phone it in.

I was going back and forth between my Taylor Swift cardigan for a folklore outfit or my sequin bomber jacket for something in the 1989 era. I bought the sequin bomber jacket right after seeing Swift wear something similar at the 1989 World Tour. Basically, I saw Taylor Swift wearing a sequin bomber jacket, so I bought a sequin bomber jacket. It was always my dream to wear something similar, but I never really got the opportunity.

While I love folklore and wear my cardigan as often as possible , 1989 will forever and always be my favorite era. I had to make my wildest dreams come true and put together an OOTD inspired by Swift’s iconic tour ‘fit. Along with the jacket, Swift also wore a sparkly metallic skirt and black crop top. This was the era where Swift sported a lot of crop tops with extremely high-waisted skirts and shorts. I’m not as confident as her, so the only crop tops I own are sweatshirts that I wear at home in front of just my cat and no one else. The closest I had to Swift’s black top was actually a bikini top. Wearing a bikini top not by the pool was going to be a challenge in confidence, but I felt more comfortable having the perfect skirt to go along with it.

I have a few running skirts in my closet that I wear to RunDisney events. I have a metallic mermaid skirt for an Ariel DisneyBound outfit, and a purple one that I use for a Rapunzel or Hulk-inspired ‘fit. I love these running skirts because they have built in shorts underneath that are comfy and come with three pockets. Who doesn’t love pockets, am I right? While the mermaid skirt fits the metallic vibes of Swift’s outfit more, I went with the purple one instead. Also, I could pull up my skirt to mimic Swift’s high-waisted look, and it made me feel more comfortable baring my midriff.

This sequin bomber jacket is what I wore to Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' and is a great '1989' outfit ...

To complete the look, I added some sunglasses and the classic red lip that Swift is known for. I also tried to part my hair and sweep my bangs to the side, but the Vegas winds were not cooperating that day. It didn’t matter, though. I had a pretty great knockoff 1989 outfit that I couldn’t wait to wear to the show.

I even got a few compliments from Swifties I saw walking around the stadium that boosted my confidence. The only downside was it was still a bit chilly outside, but since most of the Eras Tour will be taking place in the summer, this is a perfect outfit to wear once it warms up. If you’re currently looking for inspo for something you can wear that’s comfy, cute, and allows you to shake it off, this is it.

You can safely say that all Swifties are “Down Bad” for the new version of the “Eras Tour.”

The last time Taylor Swift hit the “Eras Tour” stage in Singapore, it was just a month before she released her newest album “The Tortured Poets Department .”

So, when Swift began the European leg of her “Eras Tour” in Paris, France, fans were anxiously waiting to see how she would implement the new album into her already jam packed set .

All in all, Taylor Swift did not disappoint on Night 1 of her Paris shows.

From new outfits to axed songs and new songs, there has been plenty to talk about and fangirl over, and anticipation has only grown for the rest of the European shows to see what else Taylor Swift has up her sleeve.

Here are all the changes Taylor Swift has made to the European leg of the “Eras Tour” so far.

Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ changes

‘tortured poets’ added to the intro mash-up of albums.

Every Swiftie who has either been to the “Eras Tour” or has watched every concert video on TikTok has the introduction of album titles memorized by heart. That’s so much so that when the TTPD title was added to the intro , fans immediately freaked out.

Besides the album title, she added the line in the intro, “What if i told you I’m back?” which is from her song “imgonnagetyouback.”

Costume changes

There were several new costume changes throughout the night, which is one of the first extensive major outfit changes Swift has done across all eras since she announced “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”

First, during the “Lover” set, Swift hit the stage in a sparkly orange bodysuit and matching boots , which left fans, including me, in awe. She then put on a matching oversized blazer when she began performing “The Man.”

Then, during the “Fearless” set, Swift donned a new fringe dress very reminiscent of a black and grey one she wore during her 2009 “Fearless” tour .

During the “Red” era, Swift wore a new T-shirt that said “This IS NOT Taylor’s Version.” During her Paris Night 2 show, she went with a “I Bet You Think About Me” shirt .

The direct references to her past tours did not end there.

For “Speak Now,” Swift came out in a stunning new gown , which had the audience stunned. It was a faded lilac color with a ribbon pattern of gold sequins and rhinestones wrapping around the entire dress.

This gown was a direct reference to an outfit she wore during her 2011 “Speak Now” world tour.

For her “Folklore” and “Evermore” sets, Swift combined the two dresses into one. Generally, the Folklore dresses have very billowy sleeves and skirt layers that swish around as she spins across the stage while singing “August.” The “Evermore” dresses usually give off more of a fall vibe as they are more yellow, brown and rust colored.

To combine the two, Swift donned a beautiful dress in the shade of yellow , which she used for both sets. For her Night 2 show in Paris, she wore a bright fuchsia dress.

Next was the “1989″ set, where she came out in a completely new look . Swift took the stage in a bright turquoise skater skirt, which is something she wore quite often in 2015 when the album came out. She also wore a pink sparkly halter top and a mismatched pair of blue and pink Christian Louboutin ankle boots.

For Paris Night 2, she wore a purple skirt and orange top .

For the surprise song set, Swift wore a new pink dress and a new fringe bodysuit for the “Midnights” set, which closes out the show.

As much as we were dreading it, we knew song cuts would have to happen in order to add new songs to the set. The songs that were axed from the set were, “The Archer”, “Long Live”, “Tis the Damn Season”, “Tolerate It”, “The 1″ and “The Last Great American Dynasty”.

Set order change

If you have been to an “Eras Tour” show in the past, then get ready for a change up in the set.

The new order of “Eras” performed at the show is now, “Lover,” ”Fearless,” “Red,” ”Speak Now,” “Reputation,” ”Folklore” and “Evermore” as one combined set, “1989,″ ”The Tortured Poets Department,” surprise songs and ”Midnights.”

New ‘Speak Now’ visuals

This set now begins with a long, choreographed number while instrumentals from her “Speak Now” album play in the background.

There are also very purple new visuals playing as Taylor performs.

‘The Tortured Poets Department’ enters the ‘Eras Tour’ universe

This is what every fan watching through a TikTok livestream or live in concert has been waiting for.

The TTPD set comes right after “1989″ with literary themed visuals sprawling across the screens before Taylor and her dancers came out. There was new choreography , costumes and of course, a huge range of new songs.

As she sang, there were black and white visuals of stained glass, a haunted house, alien spaceships and the asylum from the “Fortnight” music video.

There was also a platform that moved around the stage as Taylor sang on it, which is something fans have not yet seen before on her tour.

Halfway through the set, Swift’s dancers lifted her while old timey, black and white film music played in the background and as she changed into a new gold and black outfit .

Here is the setlist for the new era:

  • “But Daddy I Love Him” and “So High School” mash-up
  • ”Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?“
  • “Fortnight”
  • ”The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”
  • ”I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”

New ‘Eras Tour’ merchandise

The next best things after seeing Taylor Swift live is getting your hands on new tour merchandise.

After the concert, her website was updated with the merch : shirts and sweatshirts with the TTPD promo picture in the middle where the “Midnights” picture once was. The other eras surround the rectangular TTPD photo.

Taylor Swift proved she never goes out of style as she returned to the Eras Tour .

Following a two-month hiatus, Swift returned to the stage for an electrifying show in Paris on May 9. In addition to changing up her setlist as she included new songs from The Tortured Poets Department (including sweet nods to her boyfriend Travis Kelce), the singer also donned several new costumes .

For her 1989 set, she wore a mismatched Roberto Cavalli two-piece set and Christian Louboutin boots, which quickly drew parallels to Ariel from The Little Mermaid (which was released the same year Swift was born).

As Swift performed The Tortured Poets Department songs for the first time, including "So High School ," she went full meta with a custom gown from Vivienne Westwood that featured lyrics from the album.

Read ahead to see all the new costumes for the Eras Tour.

Swift kicked off the show with a fiery new Versace bodysuit . While her previous pink and blue bodysuits looked like soft sunsets, this one looked more like the sun itself in a bright pink and orange. She completed the look with matching Christian Louboutins that featured an ombré detailing.

Taylor Swift's Versace Blazer and Christian Louboutin Boots

As Swift sang her hit song "The Man," she perfectly transitioned the set by putting on a custom Versace blazer. The small costume change seamlessly blended together with her bodysuit and Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Fringe Dress and Christian Louboutin Boots

While Swift previously donned gold fringe dresses during her Eras Tour, she opted for a silver and black number as she performed in Paris along with black strass boots by Christian Louboutin. As many Swifties pointed out, the new outfit more closely aligns with the fringe dress she wore during her Fearless Tour back in 2009.

Taylor Swift's Ashish Gupta Shirt

Like her previous tour dates, Swift continued with the tradition of wearing a custom Ashish Gupta shirt as she performed "22." While past phrases have included subtle nods to the song's lyrics, this particular shirt had fans scratching their heads as it read: "This Is Not Taylor's Version."

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty

On May 10, Swift pulled out a new Ashish Gupta shirt, this one reading "I Bet You Think About Me" for "22." Gupta shared a behind-the-scenes photo of creating the sequin design on Instagram .

And on May 12, yet another Ashish Gupta shirt was added to the mix. This one very fittingly read, "I Knew You Were Trouble" from the song of the same name.

Taylor Swift's Yellow Alberta Ferretti Dress

As she combined Folklore and Evermore into one set, Swift donned a dress fitting of the merge, a custom Alberta Ferretti gown. Just as the singer noted the sister albums represent spring/summer and fall/winter, Swift wore a bright yellow gown that could pass as either a summer or fall dress.

Taylor Swift's Custom Alberta Ferretti Dress

On May 10, Swift swapped out her yellow Alberta Ferretti dress for a red version during the Folkmore set. The dreamy dress featured trumpet sleeves, a plunging neckline and mesh illusion detailing.

Taylor Swift's Vivienne Westwood Dress and Christian Louboutin Boots

For her standout performance of The Tortured Poets Department album, Swift wore a custom Vivienne Westwood dress with white leather lace-up ankle boots by Christian Louboutin. The gown, which Swift later took off for a quick costume change (into another Vivienne Westwood look) as she performed "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart," featured the lyrics, "I love you, it's ruining my life," from her song " Fortnight " with Post Malone .

Taylor Swift's Vivienne Westwood Bra Top, Hot Pants and Tailcoat

For the May 11 show, Swift wore a silver version of the tailcoat over her black sparkly bra top and hot pants.

And for the May 12 show, she went all white (save for the sparkly black lapels on the tailcoat).

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli Two-Piece Set and Christian Louboutin Boots

Swift went back to basics as she donned a two-piece set from Roberto Cavalli, including a sequined pink crop top and blue skater skirt reminiscent of the ones she wore during the 1989 World Tour in 2015. She completed the look with mismatched Christian Louboutin boots.

For the May 10 show, her Roberto Cavalli two-piece set was an orange and purple colorway.

On May 11, Swift's Roberto Cavalli top was a bright emerald green and her skater skirt was a fun bubblegum pink shade.

For the fourth show on May 12, Swift switched up the colors again for her Roberto Cavalli set, this time wearing Kansas City Chiefs colors while Travis Kelce was in the crowd . It also happened to be the 87th show of the tour (a nod to his #87). She again wore mismatched Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Pink Acoustic Set Dress

As Swift sang her surprise songs during the acoustic set, she wore a new pink halter dress, featuring a darker pink color along the waist. With her brown guitar in hand, the outfit certainly bore a striking resemblance to the sundresses Swift previously donned during her debut era.

Taylor Swift's Orange Acoustic Set Dress

For the May 11 show, Swift burned bright like the sunset in an orange version of the dress for her acoustic set. The dreamy ruffles floated around her while she strummed on her guitar.

She rounded out the monochromatic dress set on May 12 with a blue version. The dress featured an ombré effect and a voluminous skirt that offered the perfect swirl when she moved.

Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad Couture Bodysuit

For her final set, the Midnights era, Swift once again opted for a Zuhair Murad bodysuit. This one featured some new detailing including cutouts on her waist and a darker hue of blue.

Taylor Swift's Fringe Dress

Swift brought out another new fringe dress on May 11, this one a silver look. She wore it with her silver Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Reem Acra Gown

The Speak Now ballgown has been a focal point of the Eras Tour since the beginning, and Swift has worn several versions. On May 12 she debuted yet another, this one a custom Reem Acra confection in a soft lavender colorway.

Taylor Swift is shaking up her Eras Tour wardrobe!

Not only did the singer update her tour's setlist ( folding in an entirely new chapter for The Tortured Poets Department ) before kicking off its European leg, but she also made some alterations to her wardrobe — which she debuted at her latest Paris show on Saturday, May 11.

First, during the 1989 portion of her career-spanning set, the singer-songwriter, 34, rocked her recently debuted sparkly two-piece set from Roberto Cavalli — which is reminiscent of the ones she wore during the 1989 World Tour — only this time in pink and green.

To strut and (fittingly!) sing, “we never go out of style,” onstage at La Défense Arena, Swift sported a strappy bra top in a rich, glittery shade of green.

On the bottom, she wore a high-waisted skater skirt — which perfectly encapsulated the Tumblr-core style that was everywhere during the album’s original 2014 release — in a stunning ombré that faded from magenta to blush.

And, staying true to her previous colorways of the Roberto Cavalli set, she completed the look with mismatched Christian Louboutin boots, this time in complementary shades of pink and green.

For her epic transition in the TTPD track “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” — in which she swaps a custom, lyric-covered Vivienne Westwood dress for another sparkly two-piece set — Swift debuted a new silver look, as seen in fan-captured photos .

Rather than dark black, the singer’s bra top and high-waisted hot pants were a glittery shade of gray — a slight shift, but still true to her latest album’s monochrome palette.

During perhaps the most-anticipated part of the Eras Tour setlist, when the performer reveals and performs the “surprise songs” of the evening, Swift debuted an electrifying gown, a photo taken by a concert-goer shows.

While performing the tracks — Fearless ' "Hey Stephen" and Midnights ’ "Maroon” — she wore the same boho halter dress she donned for her first Paris show, only this time in a stunning shade of orange.

Especially with her acoustic guitar in hand, the gown screams Taylor Swift — her 2006 self-titled debut album — and particularly the orange dress she donned to sing in a pile of flowers for the “Our Song” music video .

10 Ways Taylor Swift Changed The Eras Tour In Paris

The singer gave the show a big revamp for the European leg.

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

Taylor Swift has given the Eras Tour a whole new look. On May 9, the singer resumed her history-making world tour in Paris, France, after a two-month break, during which she released her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department . As fans expected, she added a whole new era into the show with several fan-favorite songs.

Not only did Swift incorporate the new album , but she also refreshed the entire show, rearranging the order of the acts representing her albums. While she began with Lover and ended with Midnights as usual, she shifted nearly every era in between, even combining two albums into one act.

Swift also introduced several new costumes, updated the intro, and gave the dancers something new to do. If you can’t keep track of all of the additions, read on for 10 changes Swift made for the Eras Tour’s European leg.

The Tortured Poets Intro

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

As expected, the show’s intro announcing the names of Swift’s albums now includes The Tortured Poets Department , sung between 1989 and Red , as well as a lyric from “The Alchemy.”

The Lover Outfit

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

Swift began the show on a fiery note by changing her Lover bodysuit and the matching blazer she wears for “The Man” to an orange-ombré look.

The Fearless Dress

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

For the Fearless act, she debuted a shiny fringe dress that 19-year-old Swift would have been very proud of.

Shaking Up The Eras

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

In an unexpected twist, Swift completely rearranged the order of the entire show. Rather than the Evermore act following Fearless as usual, she jumped ahead to Red . She then went into the Speak Now and Reputation eras in that order.

The Cryptic Red Shirt

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

Swift wore a brand new sparking shirt for “22” which read, “This is not Taylor’s Version.” Most Swifties think this is a loving compliment toward the fans who can automatically tell which songs are “Taylor’s Version” re-recordings when they’re played in public.

A New Speak Now Intro & Dress

Swift elevated the Speak Now act by having her dancers perform dazzling choreography to the intro of “Enchanted,” before she arrives onstage in a new princess gown.

Combining Folklore and Evermore

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

Swift combined the Folklore and Evermore eras into one act. She has always referred to Evermore as the sister album to Folklore , so this should come as no surprise.

The Yellow Folklore Dress

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes She Made In Europe

Going into the newly introduced “Folkmore” act, Swift donned a new yellow dress. She typically wore yellow gowns during the Evermore act, meaning this was likely an additional way to pay tribute to the album.

The New 1989 Outfit

Taylor Swift performs onstage during The Eras Tour

Rather than stick to one of her monochrome two-piece sets for the 1989 act, Swift decided to mix it up, donning a glittery pink bra top and teal blue skirt that gave fans Barbie and Little Mermaid vibes.

The New Tortured Poets Act

Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour Changes In Europe

Instead of going into the surprise songs after the 1989 act, Swift took the crowd to the Tortured Poets Department. She added a whole new era to the set, with seven songs from her record-breaking new album (plus one more track during the Secret Songs segment ).

'Midnights' set follows secret songs

Swift stuck to her original set list for the "Midnights" era by singing "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero" and "Midnight Rain." She ended the night with a triumphant rendition of "Karma" as usual.

'loml' is second secret song

Fans got one more taste of "The Tortured Poets Department" when Swift played the heartbreaking song "loml" on the piano during her secret set.

'Paris' is a secret song, of course

Swift started her secret set with "Paris," a bonus song from her "Midnights" album.

'Tortured Poets' set list

Swift played these songs from her newest album:

  • "But Daddy I Love Him"
  • "So High School"
  • "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me"
  • "Fortnight"
  • "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived"
  • "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart"

New 'Tortured Poets' set is here

Toward the end of her show, Swift officially launched the long-awaited “The Tortured Poets Department” section of the tour after the 1989 era.

Swift performed the track “But Daddy I Love Him” off the April 19 album for her ecstatic fans while wearing a new beige dress with cursive letters.

A road spiraled down the catwalk in an animation to initiate the era. The background animation showed a deserted road while large cages animated and fell on the road.

“Oh my god you should see your faces,” she sang.

She quickly segued into a brief moment of “So High School,” the beloved track speculated to be about her romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She quickly performed the powerhouse anthem “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.”

Swift switched to “Down Bad” before seamlessly transitioning into the lead single “Fortnight.” Stage production recreated an asylum that resembled the music video for the song with Post Malone, recorded harmony played concluding the song.

Dancers entered the stage in a marching band style format playing drums as she performed the wrath-fueled song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” Jan Ravnik and Kameron Saunders then revived Swift in a jazzy skit to set up “I Can Do With A Broken Heart,” where she debuted another new outfit.

“The End” text displayed wrapping up the era that’s likely here to stay. Other beloved tracks like “Guilty As Sin” and “Florida!” did not make the cut.

New '1989' outfit

Swift never goes out of Style. During her “1989” set, she debuted a new, sequined outfit of blue and pink. Her sparkly shoes matched with a different colored heel on each. For the bridge of “Blank Space,” the crowd started chanting in Sydney, Australia, “Syd-ney” as a nod to the 1989 World Tour concert movie where Swift would chant the name of the city she was in after hitting a pole with a club two times. Singapore followed the chant and Taylor Nation tweeted they want every city to incorporate the fan-fueled chant. In Paris, thousands chanted “Par-ee,” the French way to say the capital city.

Swift made no cuts to the "1989" set.

Four songs cut from 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'

The new set list cut four tracks from the "Folklore" and "Evermore" eras:

  • "'Tis the Damn Season"
  • "Tolerate It"
  • "The Last Great American Dynasty"

The combined set included eight songs altogether and wrapped up with "Willow."

'Folkmore' set debuts

Swift revealed she merged the 2020 pandemic albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” into one section. She told fans she wrote “Folklore” to represent spring and summer with “Evermore” representing fall and winter in what she always considered sister albums.

“On the Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter,” she said. “You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing ‘Champagne Problems’ with me.”

'Folklore' set: 'Cardigan' makes the cut

Many fans had speculated "Cardigan" would be cut from the set list. But Swift actually moved it to the top of the "Folklore" set.

Up next: 'Reputation'

Swift kicked off her fifth set with "Ready for It?"

Another surprise: 'Speak Now' era comes fourth

Swift updated her "Speak Now" set with an intro dance featuring Raphael Thomas and eight other dancers wearing flowy purple dresses. She then sang "Enchanted."

Fan favorite track "Long Live" was cut from the set list.

Order of eras changed

After a fairly routine "Fearless" set, Swift altered her concert by including the “Red” era third instead of the expected “Evermore” set. Previously, "Red" came fifth.

With a new shirt that read “This Is Not Taylor’s Version,” the singer performed "22" and showed her audience that they needed to leave any expectations at home.

The relocated "Red" set included the same four songs: "22," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)."

Beflore playing “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” Swift talked about bringing all of her favorite memories to France. She did her 2019 “Lover” live show here but hadn’t brought a tour to the country since the Speak Now World Tour 13 years ago.“I cannot thank you enough. I’m so moved," she said.

Follow along with set list changes here .

First set list change

Swift cut "The Archer" from her "Lover" set before beginning her "Fearless" set in a silver and black minidress as opposed to her classic gold one. A graphic showed her "Lover" house with a new addition in the attic for "The Tortured Poets Department." Her "Fearless" set remained the same with "Fearless," "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story."

'Je m'appelle Taylor'

In her monologue before playing the song "Lover," Swift said the night would span 18 years of music. Previously, the concert covered 16 years. Get ready for a "The Tortured Poets Department" addition some time tonight.

She confirmed the tour would still go era by era, and also spoke about how Paramore is a band she idolized since she was a teenager. She ended with some French: "Je m'appelle Taylor."

First new outfit

Swift debuted a new, orange bodysuit and jacket for the "Lover" set.

Snippet of 'Tortured Poets' in intro

A snippet of the song "The Tortured Poets Department" was included in the intro music Swift kicks the concert off with. Is she foreshadowing other changes ahead? It seems likely.

Taylor Swift takes the stage

Swift took the stage about 8 p.m. in Paris (2 p.m. ET) to relaunch her Eras Tour in Europe. She kicked it off with a countdown clock and the Lesley Gore song "You Don't Own Me" as usual. Then she began her "Lover" set with "Miss Americana."

Paramore covers Blondie, Talking Heads in Paris set list

At the Paris show Thursday, Paramore energized fans with eight tracks including their cover off the upcoming “Stop Making Sense” tribute album out May 17 featuring artists like Miley Cyrus and Lorde.

Debuting a blond mullet, lead singer Hayley Williams encouraged fans to dance without fear of judgment ahead of Swift’s performance.

“Enjoy your time with Miss Taylor, we will see you next time,” Williams said.

Paramore's set list included:

  • "Hard Times"
  • "Burning Down the House" (Talking Heads cover)
  • "Caught in the Middle"
  • “Brick by Boring Brick”
  • “The Only Exception”
  • “That’s What You Get”
  • “Ain't It Fun”
  • “This Is Why”

Paramore begins their set

At about 6:45 p.m. in Paris (12:45 p.m. ET), Paramore began their set, officially restarting the second year of the historic Eras Tour. Lead singer Hayley Williams sported a new, blond mullet hairdo.

Paramore opens European leg of Eras Tour

The American rock band is joining Swift on her European leg of 51 shows. Paramore also opened the show for two nights in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023. Their setlist then included nine songs:

  • "This Is Why"
  • "That’s What You Get"
  • "The Only Exception"
  • "Still Into You"
  • "Rose-Colored Boy"
  • "Misery Business"
  • "Ain’t It Fun"

Where to watch the Eras Tour livestreams

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. Livestream Queen Tess Bohne has spearheaded the "Great War" to find fans going live on social media and broadcasting a custom show to tens of thousands of fans almost every night on her account @tessdear .

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the 3-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric is a host fans follow.

There is also an app, Swift Alert , that notifies fans who only want to watch certain eras like the acoustic, surprise set. The app also sends out push alerts if there are any major announcements.

What secret songs are left?

For the past 83 shows, Swift has had an acoustic set she customizes every stop with a guitar and piano performance. In 2024, the Eras Tour star added mash-ups of her songs for each stop. Here are the songs she has yet to perform:

  • "Taylor Swift" (debut album): "Mary's Song" and "A Perfectly Good Heart"
  • "Fearless": "The Way I Loved You," "Change," "Superstar," "We Were Happy," "That's When," "Don't You" and "Bye Bye Baby"
  • "Red": "Girl At Home," "Ronan," "Forever Winter" and "Run"
  • "1989": "Sweeter Than Fiction"
  • "Reputation": "I Did Something Bad"
  • "Lover": "London Boy," "Soon You'll Get Better" and "It's Nice to Have a Friend"
  • "Folklore": "Hoax"
  • "Evermore": "Happiness" and "Closure"
  • "Midnights": "Paris" and "Glitch"
  • "The Tortured Poets Department": all 31 tracks
