Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Tour It was in April in Las Vegas when we booked for a Big Bus Tour. We visit Vegas often and we'd already seen many of the places the route passed through but this was our first time touring around the Strip where hubby didn't have to drive around as we sat on the top deck. It was around 68° that day and the weather was just perfect for an outdoor tour. We had our Go City passes scanned and waited at the bus stop near the High Roller/Linq Promenade area. It must've been close to an hour wait since the bus kept being delayed. Just keep that in mind if you're scheduled to be in one of the stops at a certain time in case you have a timed event. A full circuit takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes / 2 hours. We did not hop off at any of the locations. The Resorts World stop was something new to us. Opening Times: Daily from 10:00am until last full-circuit tour at 4:30pm Buses run approximately every 40 min Stop #1 - MGM Grand/Showcase Mall Stop #2 - High Roller / LINQ Promenade Stop #3 - Arts & Antique District  Stop #4 - The Mob Museum Stop #5 - The Strat  Stop #6 - Resorts World Stop #7 - Treasure Island Stop #8 - Excalibur Hotel Stop #9 - Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas Sign This was included in the Go City pass that we purchased for the weekend. I like doing Big Bus Tours in the cities I visit, as you get to ride around and see the different points of interest and architecture. I usually just stay on and do the 'loop', not the hop on, hop off thing. Anyway, the Las Vegas Big Bus Tour was a dud, in my opinion. No live tour director, just a head set with prerecorded narration. The "loop" is basically straight up and straight down Las Vegas Boulevard. And the narration is basically "Where this modern hotel now stands, was an old hotel where Elvis performed, and where this modern hotel now stands was an old hotel where Sinatra performed". It's a tour of hotels, because that's all there really is in Las Vegas. And to top it all off, the 90 minute "loop" was an excruciating three hours long because of traffic from all the temporary construction being done on Las Vegas Boulevard in preparation for the Las Vegas Grand Prixe the following week.

Loved the 8pm tour around The Strip and Fremont St!! Just make sure you take a sweater or jacket if you're going to sit on the open top second floor, even during warm months, it can actually get pretty chilly, especially when it's windy. Even though the check-in was almost an hour late (after 7pm), the Hard Rock Cafe still took our drink coupons at 10pm after the tour was over. Our tour guide was an older gentleman, very knowledgeable about all things Vegas, funny, and kind of grumpy, but hey, you're in Vegas to have a great time, and I prefer people with a grumpier type of attitude anyway cus they're not fake. The tour includes 2 alcoholic drinks at the Hard Rock Cafe and a set of earphones which you plug in at your seat to listen to the guide. Starts off close to MGM, basically right next to the Coke and M&M shops, goes north all the way to Fremont St, down to the airport, passes by Mandalay Bay, and back. Lasts about 2 hours, depending on the traffic. Very comfortable seats on the bus. I definitely recommend it!

We had no issues with it at all. We were able to hop on and off when we wanted and the bus was pretty much on time at the various stops. Also was never full which was nice. I guess it depends when you go and how busy it is. I would do it again.

Avoid this tour. I had a Go City pass which said the 1st tour leaves at 10:10am from the Linq /High Roller. The bus was an hour late. Now it's 2 hours from when we were supposed to depart and the bus is not even past Caesar's on the Strip which is ACROSS from the Linq. The traffic on the Strip is awful. Take Ubers around the Strip and use the Vegas monorail to get around and see Vegas instead. You will avoid this headache and waste of time. ***The guide said the traffic is due to setting up for the F1 racing. The race isn't scheduled until November so avoid this tour at least until then.

This is a fun and easy way to see Las Vegas. I wish I had done it on previous visits. We found all the guides to be knowledgeable and funny. Most of the stops were convenient to things we wanted to see. The only downside was that the guides didn't seem to know open regular operating hours of the attractions they told us about. One example was the Stratosphere. We got off the bus at 10:30am after hearing the guide's recommendation. We were not told that the attractions described by the guide didn't open until 2:30pm. Finding this out and waiting to get back on the bus cost ud an hour we could have spent doing other things.

The views from the bus are cool and the tour was very informative. But I scheduled the tour at 11:30am and didn't actually get on the bus till 1pm. Which means we were standing in the Vegas sun for an hour and a half. I just feel like every thing was super unorganized.

I waited 90 minutes at a stop for pickup. Some of the stops require a lot of walking to get back to the strip Could use more stops at the different hotels.

We did the night tour with Sin City Art narrating. The stop on Freemont Street was an hour long (watch your drinks, ours were 80% whiskey with a little cola to sweeten them). Great way to get an overview of the sights. We would definitely do this again.

BIG BUS NIGHT TOURS DESCRIPTION

Get ready to be dazzled by the stunning neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip and downtown from a London-style double decker bus. During your open-air night ride, you'll hear all about Las Vegas resorts and exciting insider stories from your informative tour guide. 

Panoramic Night Tour

As dusk falls, the city comes to life illuminated by neon lights. Dancing fountains and erupting volcanoes entertain you as you travel down the Strip. The tour rolls past casinos, wedding chapels, and historic landmarks into the heart of downtown Las Vegas. You’re free to immerse yourself in the best that downtown has to offer, including live entertainment, street artists, vendors, neon signs, costumed entertainers, and of course the world-famous Fremont Street lights.

Check-in for the night tour is between 6:15 pm - 6:30 pm at Stop #2, the High Roller / LINQ Promenade tour bus bay. The tour departs at 7:00 pm. Keep in mind that seating in the open top of the bus is on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may want to get in line early if that’s the Big Bus Tour experience you are looking for.

Stop #2, the High Roller / LINQ Promenade tour bus bay, can be found between the High Roller (that enormous ferris wheel in the Linq Promenade) and the Tesla charging station. Look for a red and yellow “Big Bus Tours” sign.

The night portion of the tour begins on the Las Vegas Strip and continues downtown to Fremont Street where you can disembark the bus and enjoy an hour of free time before the Big Bus departs back to the Linq Promenade Big Bus stop. It’s worth mentioning that during The Strip part of the tour, there are no hop on and offs allowed, for safety reasons.

Adults Only Night Tour

Indulge in an after-hours experience in Sin City on this everyday evening tour with a behind-the-scenes, 21+ look at all your favorite landmarks. Starting at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas Strip, you'll enjoy a welcome beverage while you wait for your double-decker Big Bus tour to begin. Once you've hit the road, your tour guide will share a wide variety of risqué facts and stories along with raunchy jokes about each of your many stops.

The Adults-Only Night Tour departs at 8:00 pm. On the day of your tour, present your ticket voucher or booking confirmation email to Big Bus Tours staff at the Hard Rock Cafe located at 3771 Las Vegas Blvd S #120, no later than 7:15 pm. You'll receive your welcome drink, and then make your way to the Big Bus at MGM Grand, arriving by 7:50 pm at the latest. The tour concludes at approximately 10:15 pm. All passengers must show government-issued ID at the time of tour pick-up. Must be 21 years of age or older.
