BLACKPINK Announces Finalized Dates and Venues For 2022 World Tour "BORN PINK"

BLACKPINK has announced the finalized dates and venues for the North American and European legs of their upcoming world tour!

On September 6, YG Entertainment officially revealed the details for BLACKPINK’s 2022 tour stops for “ BORN PINK ,” which will take them to North America and Europe this year before heading to Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand in 2023.

Notably, BLACKPINK’s schedule for the European leg of their tour has changed slightly since their initial announcement. The group has added a new city to their tour—Copenhagen, where they will perform on December 15—and changed the date of their Berlin concert to December 19 (instead of December 18, as previously scheduled).

With these new changes, BLACKPINK will be performing nine shows in seven different cities across Europe, starting with London on November 30 and December 1 before wrapping up in Amsterdam on December 22.

Meanwhile, the group will still be performing 10 shows in seven different cities across the United States and Canada this fall, as previously announced. The North American leg of their tour will kick off in Dallas on October 25 and wrap up in Los Angeles with a concert at the Banc of California Stadium on November 19.

Tickets for BLACKPINK’s North American and European concerts will open for presale on September 13 before going on sale to the general public on September 16.

Blackpink’s Back: Everything We Know About the Group’s Upcoming Album, ‘Born Pink’

A new era for Blinks is upon us.

blackpink performs at 2019 coachella

The announcement, made via teaser on July 31, didn’t come as a surprise to most fans, given that the Blackpink members—Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa—had let slip numerous signs that another album was incoming. A press release shared in early July 2022 by their label, YG Entertainment, announced the group would release new music in August, kicking off “a continuous large-scale project which will extend through the second half of the year.” The accompanying world tour would be the “largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.” And after releasing their new promotional track “Ready For Love” for the battle royale video game PUBG Mobile, Blackpink seemed poised to declare their return to chart dominance.

Since releasing their first full-length album, THE ALBUM , in October 2020, Blackpink has transformed into one of the most globally ascendant musical acts of the last decade. Each of its four members are now celebrities in their own right, festooned with fashion deals: They’ve each earned luxury brand ambassadorships, with Jisoo signed on at Dior, Jennie at Chanel, Rosé for Yves Saint Laurent, and Lisa with Bulgari and Celine. And while Jennie told ELLE in November 2020 that “fashion definitely empowers us as much as music does,” the group’s musical career is far from sidelined.

“I feel like I’m recharging myself,” Jisoo told Rolling Stone in May 2022. “My life these days is not too busy, because we’re not actively performing yet. I want to come back with music quickly.” Now, the days of waiting are nearly over.

When does the album come out?

Blackpink has announced the official release date for their second album, titled Born Pink: Sept. 16. at 12 a.m. EST.

What songs are on the album? Which will be singles?

“Pink Venom,” a pre-release single , dropped on Aug. 19 at 12 a.m. EST .

The group then shared the full track list for the album on Sept. 7.

  • “Pink Venom”
  • “Shut Down”
  • “Typa Girl”
  • “Yeah Yeah Yeah”
  • “Hard to Love”
  • “The Happiest Girl”
  • “Ready for Love”

It seems producer and OneRepublic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder is involved in other tracks, having revealed to Good Morning America that “I have worked on Blackpink material. I did write with the girls themselves.”

He added, “I genuinely love Blackpink and so I can’t tell you what's coming out. I think one or two of my songs have made the album from what I’ve been told. The stuff that I did with them I can just say is very true to their sound. They wrote it so it was very much me just supporting them, their ideas. It’s cool as hell.”

What about the world tour?

Blackpink initially confirmed the journey will begin in October, following the release of Born Pink. In an online press conference timed to the release of “Pink Venom,” Jennie confirmed the group will perform largely new material during the tour. “It’s our first [tour] in a very long time, so we’d like to focus on our originality and include a lot of new songs,” she said.

On August 8, the group revealed the tour will run from October 15, 2022, through June 21, 2023, beginning in Seoul, Korea, before moving onto stops in the United States, Canada, England, France, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, China, Australia, and more. The full list of dates is below:

2022 DP World Tour Championship leaderboard: Jon Rahm makes his move to hold slim lead over Matt Fitzpatrick

Members of the european ryder cup team will duke it out in the final round for the season-long crown.

bp world tour 2022

For the first time all week, a new man occupies the top spot on the leaderboard of the 2022 DP World Tour Championship. Former world No. 1 Jon Rahm was simply brilliant around Jumeirah Golf Estates on Saturday en route to his bogey-free 7-under 65. Carding seven birdies for the second consecutive day, the Spaniard has slowly meandered his way to 15 under and possesses a one-stroke lead over Matt Fitzpatrick.

With four birdies in his opening eight holes, a moment of unease arose on the difficult par-4 ninth. Making bogey on this hole the first two days, Rahm was forced to chip out of trouble before converting a momentum-saving par putt from just inside 15 feet. Adding three birdies on his inward half, Rahm has now positioned himself to become the first man to win the DP World Tour Championship three times.

"I don't think I could have shot any lower today," Rahm said. "Maximized the round. Wasn't my best off the tee but I was able to actually get some birdies out of some not so good situations. I didn't hit any of the fairways on the par fives and still played them three-under par. I'm hoping come tomorrow I can be a little better off the tee, and still keep the good iron play and good putting going."

First-round leader and 36-hole leader Fitzpatrick will be sure to apply some pressure as the Englishman battles for both the DP World Tour Championship and the season-long race. At 14 under, he is in the precarious position of trailing not only Rahm, but also Rory McIlroy as the world No. 1 is projected to win the Harry Vardon Trophy after his round of 7-under 65.

"Something I've learnt massively this year is to be more patient," Fitzpatrick said. "I'm not the best at it. I've got so much better, probably, since being told off by Billy [Foster, his caddie] in April. So I think that's been a big thing that's come on for me is just being patient and knowing that I'm playing some good golf. I feel really comfortable with my irons this week, and that's been a big, big change and a big step forward over the last few months. So, I'm looking forward going into tomorrow.

"It would mean the world [to win the DP World Tour Rankings]. I'm going to need a lot of things go my way," Fitzpatrick added. "I feel like this...could be a third win here, and if it happens, it could be all three times I've not won [the DP World Tour Rankings]."

McIlroy began his second round in a volatile fashion as two bogeys sandwiched an eagle in his first three holes. Making birdie on seven of his final 14 holes, the Northern Irishman has returned to the pole position in the season-long race ahead of the final 18 holes. McIlroy will attempt to join Henrik Stenson as the only men to win both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour season-long titles in the same year.

Round 3 leaderboard, scores

  • 1. Jon Rahm: -15
  • 2. Matt Fitzpatrick: -14
  • 3. Alex Noren: -13
  • T4. Rory McIlroy: -12
  • T4. Tyrrell Hatton: -12
  • T6. Tommy Fleetwood: -10
  • T6. Adrian Meronk: -10
  • 8. Jorge Campillo: -9
  • T9. Maximilian Kieffer: -8
  • T9. Kurt Kitayama: -8

DP World Tour Rankings up in the air heading into final day

Coming into the week, only seven players were able to win the DP World Tour Rankings. Through three rounds, this number has likely whittled down to only two as Fitzpatrick and McIlroy vie for the season-long crown. After commanding the lead the first two days, Fitzpatrick was projected to claim the title, but the four-time major champion has battled back with a vengeance courtesy of rounds of 68-65. Here are the scenarios for each player heading into the pivotal final round.

  • Rory McIlroy : If he wins or finishes ahead of the other six, he wins the season-long race
  • Matt Fitzpatrick : Has to finish in top two and have McIlroy finish worse than seventh

"It's really cool, I've got to this stage in the game over 15 years as a pro, and I'm still trying to do things for the first time," McIlroy said. "I've never won the FedExCup and this tour's rankings in the same year, so it would be really nice. It's been a wonderful year. I've played some really, really great golf and really consistent golf. If I'm able to go out there tomorrow and shoot a good score and get the job done, it would be a really nice way to end what's been a great year."

2022 DP World Tour Championship updated odds and picks

  • Jon Rahm: 11/10
  • Matt Fitzpatrick: 14/5
  • Rory McIlroy: 9/2
  • Alex Noren: 9-1
  • Tyrrell Hatton: 12-1

This is reminiscent of the old Tour Championship on the PGA Tour for those unfamiliar with the DP World Tour Rankings. Rahm, Noren and Hatton have no chance to win the season-long crown while Fitzpatrick and McIlroy will shoulder the pressure of trying to claim victory in both the tournament at hand and the DP World Tour Rankings. With these odds applying strictly to the DP World Tour Championship, Rahm looks to be the fairest price and will remain our selection to win.

BLACKPINK announced Tuesday (July 5) that they’ll return with new music in August — and the K-pop superstars will mount a world tour by the end of the year.

A press release from YG Entertainment announced that the quartet — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa — are in the “final stages of recording a new album” and that their new music in August will kick off “a continuous large-scale project which will extend through the second half of the year.”

See latest videos, charts and news

In addition, the release promised an international tour by the end of the year that would be the “largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.”

BLACKPINK Becomes First Musical Act to Reach 75 Million YouTube Subscribers

“A lot of BLACKPINK -esque music has been prepared over a long period of time,” YG Entertainment says. “On top of new music and large-scale projects, BLACKPINK will also go on the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group by the end of the year to expand their rapport with fans worldwide.”

The K-pop foursome released their first full-length album — simply titled THE ALBUM — via Interscope in October 2020. The project peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart. BLACKPINK have landed seven songs on the Billboard Hot 100 , including the top 20 hit “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez and a pair of top 40s: “Sour Candy” with Lady Gaga and “How You Like That.”

Just last week, BLACKPINK became the first musical act to reach 75 million subscribers on YouTube. The group earned the title of most-subscribed artist on the platform in September 2021, when they surpassed the 65.5 million mark and took over the lead from Justin Bieber.

Back in 2019, before THE ALBUM was released, BLACKPINK were featured on the cover of Billboard magazine , where they laid out their plans for a U.S. takeover. “You don’t have to understand Korean to understand the music, the visuals, the vibe,” Jisoo told Billboard at the time. Looks like she was right.

2022 DP World Tour Championship money: Purse, winner’s share, prize money payout

bp world tour 2022

The 2022 DP World Tour Championship prize money payout is from the $10 million purse, with 50professional players who complete three rounds at Jumeirah Golf Estates' Earth Course in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, earning DP World Tour prize money and an official-money paycheck this week.

The winner's share of the DP World Tour Championship prize pool is at $3,000,000, with the second-place finisher taking home $1,166,660. The DP World Tour Championshipprize money payout breakdown shows a payout of more than 16.67 percent of the purse to the winner, and how much each DP World Tour player earns is guaranteed down to the last-place player, which is 50th place this week.

For 2022 DP World Tour Championship results and payout , see our final leaderboard

The DP World Tour Championship field is headed by Jon Rahm , Rory McIlroy , Matt Fitzpatrick and more.

This tournament started with 50 players, and a cut was not made this week after two rounds. Every professional player in the field is paid for completing the event, but how much each player is paid at the 2022 DP World Tour Championship from the correct 2022 DP World Tour Championship full-field payout is based on their finish.

The 36-hole cut was not made to the top 65 players and ties, meaning all 50 players have an opportunity to move up the leaderboard in the final round.

bp world tour 2022

The 2022 DP World Tour Championship prize money payout is only true after the DP World Tour cut is made, with the DP World Tour adding money to the purse if more than 65 professionals make the cut to ensure all players are paid.

With the DP World Tour cut rule down to the top 65 and ties, players are subject to the DP World Tour's secondary cut if more than 78 players make the cut.

What else is on the line

Beyond money, there are important points, perks and benefits on the line for the field -- in particular, the tournament winner.

The winner of this event will get 2,000 DP World Tour points , as this is considered an official event on the DP World Tour schedule.

Additionally, there are approximately 22 Official World Golf Ranking points on the line for the winner.

While this event offers a significant payday, a win comes with the benefits that come with winning on the DP World Tour. Winners of these events get a two-plus season exemption on the DP World Tour, as well as berths into other big tour events.
