Meet at Port of Sorrento

After meeting your friendly trip leader near the Port of Sorrento in the mid-afternoon, your boat will be waiting along with your skipper at the dock.

The boat holds a maximum of 12 people—an intimate small group to explore Capri and the coast. As you pull out of the marina, take in the amazing views of Sorrento and the surrounding cliffs before turning your eyes to Capri.

Cruise the Coast to Capri

Sit back and relax as the boat cruises along the coast of the Bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the distance. As Sorrento disappears from view, you'll approach the stunning island of Capri—known as one of Italy's most stylish destinations.

During the afternoon, there will be a chance to jump in the warm Mediterranean waters for a swim, or you can choose to snorkel and explore the reefs and caves (bring your own snorkel gear.) With beer, wine, and soft drinks included on board, enjoy a relaxing cruise in one of the world's most beautiful settings.

One of your first views will be the famous Faraglioni rocks and the ruins of Tiberius' Imperial Palace. The second emperor in Roman history lived in Capri during the tumultuous days of his reign. Your trip leader will tell the story of how the Roman Empire almost collapsed just a few years into Tiberius' rule.

You'll continue to Marina Grande, the main fishing village of the island, where tiny fishing boats and bright houses give off the warm local energy that made Capri famous. You'll be returning to Capri later on to explore at your own pace, and your local crew will have plenty of recommendations to offer.

Green, White and Marvelous Grottoes

Before docking, you'll sail around the island to see more of the stunning coastline. With stops to swim or snorkel in the warm Mediterranean Sea, you'll cruise through the three of Capri's stunning grottoes (sea caves). Take in the serenity of the Green, White and Marvelous Grottos before getting comfortable for a sunset to remember.

Sunset on the Water with Wine

As the late afternoon turns towards evening, embrace the golden hour while the sun travels west towards darkness. As the sunlight hits off the rocks off Capri, it's impossible not to be charmed by the wonders of the Mediterranean. Your tour leader will make sure you've got a cool glass of local wine to accompany one of the most beautiful sights in Europe.

Explore the Charms of Capri

Arriving back in Marina Grande, your boat will dock in the marina and you'll have a few hours to take in this charming little island after dark. Your crew will be happy to tell you where to get the best pasta, pizza and seafood for dinner, and you can stroll through the cobblestone streets to your heart's content.

Enjoy the nightlife, lively piazzas and luxurious boutiques that line Capri's streets. Feel free to pre-book a dinner reservation or ask your skipper for their recommendations. There's nothing better than an Aperol Spritz and tasty Neapolitan pizza on a summer's night!

Return to Sorrento

The evening wraps up with a return boat ride to Sorrento. Your skipper will point out the distant lights of the Neapolitan skyline as you cruise back towards the port, where your incredible Capri day trip comes to an end.

Can I visit the Blue Grotto?

This tour doesn't stop at the famous Blue Grotto due to long waiting times.

Where does the boat leave from?

The boat leaves from the Sorrento harbor and returns to the same place.

How much free time will I have on Capri?

You'll have a minimum of 3-5 hours in the island, and you trip leader can give you plenty of recommendations on what to do.

Is snorkeling equipment included?

No, but you're welcome to bring your own!

What if I have concerns about my mobility?

You'll need to be able to get on and off a boat, of course, but all swimming and snorkeling activities are entirely optional. Your time on Capri island is free, so you can decide for yourself what itinerary is manageable.

Is dinner included with this tour?
