Special Event: Adam Conover

In 2022, his new series "The G Word" premiered on Netflix. Produced in partnership with Barack Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, it pulls the curtain back on how the federal government works using comedy and documentary storytelling. Conover was also the host of the Nickelodeon game show "The Crystal Maze," and recurs on the animated series "Bojack Horseman" and "Tuca and Bernie." As a stand-up comedian, Adam performs regularly in top comedy clubs and colleges across the country.

**The Private Skybox Suite includes up to 10 tickets, a $400 Food & Beverage voucher, a personal server, a private restroom, and all gratuity charges.

Any additional food and drink costs above $400 will be billed at the end of the show. The guest count can not exceed 10 people. All club policies and safety guidelines will be enforced. Please note that the skybox is on the second floor of our showroom, and is NOT wheelchair accessible.

Since a very young age, Ben has been “the funny kid,” or at least, “the kid that will cheer you up,” but, oddly enough, stand-up comedy was never really a part of his plan. Before his junior year of high school, Ben won an “Engineering Scholars Program” scholarship and literally did rocket science for a summer. As a senior in high school, Ben played 3 sports, took AP and honors classes and won student body president as the presidencies for the FCA and The Academy of Drafting and Design. For a year and a half after high school, he majored in mechanical engineering and double minored in physics and CAD/CAM at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. Then, one day, he got bored of calculus, dropped out of school, joined the US Army Reserve, moved to Orlando and started doing stand-up comedy. Ben has always said “yes” to opportunities, and his “I’ll try anything once” attitude has ultimately lead to some hilarious stories and an irrationally high 26 different jobs since he turned 16. Ben has done everything from work a drive-thru at Chick-fil-A to drive a bus for the YMCA after school program, and now he takes the stage to tell all about everything he’s done and seen and make you laugh along the way.

Standing at only 5’5 and weighing in at 125 lbs, Ben is not an intimidating presence, but don’t let his size fool you! He packs some serious punchlines! From jokes about his stature to hilarious stories about dating, jobs, general life mishaps and even his crazy family, Ben is sure to have you laughing until your sides hurt!

A past winner of both the Seattle International Comedy Competition and The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, Gabriel has made numerous television appearances including Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, Nickelodeon's Nickmom Night Out, Laughs on FOX, and Inside Joke with Asif Ali streaming on Amazon Prime Video. He has also performed at the HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and his Dry Bar Comedy Special “A Third of The Room” has been viewed millions of times online.

Gabriel has recorded 5 albums including his most recent “Good Luck in Court” which debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts. He is also the author of the book "Happiness Isn't Funny: True Stories of a Road Comic.”

Special Event: I Think Not! Live

Ellyn Marsh is an entertainer, artist, and comic. Ellyn had the pleasure of co-hosting the hit podcast “Obsessed with Disappeared” with two of her very best friends, first Patrick Hinds and Joey Taranto. Between the three of them, they completed nine seasons of the ID TV show “Disappeared”. Now she and Joey have created the show “I Think Not!” which combines what they do best. Unclear of what that is but once we find out, we will for sure let you all know.

Ellyn and Joey met backstage, wreaking havoc at the smash Broadway hit “Kinky Boots.” She also appeared on Broadway in "Pretty Woman," "Priscilla Queen of the Desert," and some plays (who sees those?). Ellyn recently was seen in the Disney movie “Better Nate Than Ever” and can also be heard as a singing troll in “Frozen.”

She’s bringing all of her musical theater references to the world of her other passion, true crime! After reporting on missing persons cases for three years, she’s decided to shake it up a bit with a variety of cases from classic true crime tv shows.

She also directs, writes, and edits a Broadway comedy podcast called “Gettin Peggy Wit It” where they roast Broadway stars. She’s the writer and creator of the web series “Turning the Tables” and the newly launched “Gallery View,” as well as the founder of Broadway Trivia League and can be seen making content on any platform that will give her a platform. She is also cohost of the podcast “Rabia and Ellyn Solve the Case” with Rabia Chaudry. Ellyn also is a voice and acting teacher for Broadway kids. Her students have been featured in Broadway shows such as Beetlejuice, Matilda, Annie, The Lion King, School of Rock and more!

After an incredible year of working on Obsessed with Disappeared, Joey is proud to continue his tour de gay alongside Ellyn’s clown parade with their new podcast, I Think Not!

Joey is a proud native of New Orleans (did you know he’s also a minister’s kid??) and loves bringing his southern roots and NOLA growl to the world of true crime. He, like Yellin’ Marsh, is a Broadway performer who made his debut in Rock of Ages.

He was also in the original companies of both Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark and Kinky Boots (with Yellin herself!). Joey has also been seen in Jesus Christ Superstar Live on NBC! And in 2022 he was featured in two critically acclaimed films: Chrissy Judy and BROS.

Frequently coming up with new characters, Majah produces about six or seven videos per day. He blazed both domestic and international stages with his prideful brand of wit: becoming a familiar face spanning Trinidad, Tobago, Jamaica, Guyana, Barbados, Japan, Europe, Canada, South America and the Bahamas. Majah primarily headlines his own performances but has been honored to share stages with comedic talents such as Jason Anders, Michael Blackson, John Witherspoon, Paul Mooney, Cedric the Entertainer, Tony Woods, Brandon T. Jackson, Marlon Wayans and Affion Crockett.

As his following continues to expand, Majah’s objective is to remain an ambassador for his Caribbean heritage. Majah performs an annual stand-up show at the King’s Theater every Labor Day in his hometown, Brooklyn. He launched his own production company, Hype Media and Films, in 2014. Two years later, the ambitious jokester wrote, starred in and directed an independent comedy, “Foreign Minds Think Alike,” where he also portrayed five characters on-screen. T. Murph is an American comedian, actor, and writer that broke out of the Chicago comedy scene and has been quickly rising ever since.

Earthquake made his way into the households and hearts of his loyal fanbase in the 90’s at the height of television programming for the urban comedian. Shows like BET’s Comic View, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, glimpses of Laffapalooza and Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Jam became fan favorites. Earthquake’s DVD collection of comedy specials made him the stand-out comedic talent of that era. Those specials include, About Got Damm Time, Walter Latham Presents, From the Outhouse to the Whitehouse and These Ain’t Jokes for Showtime.

As a result, his presence on the comedy circuit added a relatable and celebrated point of view that resonated with thousands of fans, and he found his sweet spot-on numerous tours and club dates. Never leaving a fan disappointed, ‘Quake’ (as he is affectionately known), quickly became a closer or multi-headliner fixture on some of the biggest tours in the country.

In addition to the television talk show circuit and digital platforms, Comedian Earthquake has been featured on primetime television as well. Notably, his first real look as a recurring character was as the beloved ‘Uncle Mike’ from the hit sitcom, ‘Everybody Hates Chris’. He then enjoyed a string of special appearances and more recurring roles including Bounce Network’s, ‘In the Cut’, ‘Rel’ for Fox Television, and HBO Max’s ‘South Side’. Most recently Quake is enjoying recurring roles on CBS’ ‘The Neighborhood’ starring Cedric the Entertainer and preparing for the third season of the breakout hit series, ‘Johnson’ for the Bounce network which had garnered over five-million views per episode in its first season. Additionally, Earthquake can also be spotted on HBO Max series entitled, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.

Earthquake has enjoyed the film arena as well. His film credits include animated favorite ‘Barnyard’, ‘Something Like a Business’ with Kevin Hart, ‘Getting Played’ with Vivica Fox, Ice Cube’s ‘The Longshots’ and the Kevin Smith cult classic ‘Clerks II’ with a recent appearance in Mario Van Peebles indie-project, ‘Armed’, and a new film project entitled ‘Bed-Ridden’, for which he nabbed the leading role.

As an extension of his film work, Quake has provided voicing for the ‘Barnyard’ film made-for-television program ‘Back at the Barnyard’ for Nickelodeon and voicing for global brands Nike and Beats by Dre respectively.

If all of this were not enough, Earthquake hails as the host of his uber-popular radio show Quake’s House for Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network which is housed on Sirius XM Channel 96. Celebrating its fifth season, Quake’s House airs Monday through Thursday and is the quintessential house of funny. The chat ranges from current events to the man-women complexities of romantic life and people tune in to hear Quake’s off-the-cuff banter and celebrity drop-ins.

Presently, Earthquake is filming various projects and preparing for his new comedy special. A Washington D.C native resides in Los Angeles and continues to sell out rooms on the comedy circuit, on nationwide tours and remains a favorite among top-tier stand-up comedy talent. As he enjoys arguably the biggest year of his career, Quake will continue to make television appearances giving his fans glimpses of his work on popular programming.

Kelsey also co-hosts the "Self-Helpless" podcast with fellow comedians Taylor Tomlinson and Delanie Fischer. Uncle Lazer brings the heat each and every time he walks on stage. The Mullet Maniac’s approach to comedy is completely over the top and outlandish. However he is able to connect to his audience with relatability from a blue collar background. Belly aching laughter and just an all around good time can be promised at any one of his show.

TICKETS GO ON SALE JANUARY 20, AT 10AM  

NEW YORK  (January 17, 2023) – In partnership with Urban Vibe Entertainment,  The Black Promoters Collective   is happy to announce their first Comedy tour, “Straight Jokes, No Chaser Comedy Tour.”  The event, hosted by Indianapolis native  Mike Epps,  features standup comedy greats  Cedric The Entertainer, Earthquake, D.L. Hughley , and  DC Young Fly . Selling out arenas with their R&B tours this past year, the collective is now expanding its promotion into the comedy industry with this 23-city tour.  The tour tips off at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 4, and ends on Saturday, May 27, in Las Vegas, NV.

Tickets will be available to the general public this Friday, January 20, at 10 am local time and range from $59.50 to $169.50. Tickets can be purchased   here.

Actor and comedian  Mike Epps , an Indianapolis native, has been known to bring down the house with non-stop laughter for his unforgettable nights of comedy. Best known for playing Day-Day Jones in “Next Friday” and its sequel, “Friday After Next,” Epps has generated an extraordinary amount of buzz among his peers for being not only one of the funniest comic actors but also for his burgeoning dramatic and acting talent. Epps is currently starring in the Netflix comedy series “The Upshaws” and recently dropped a special on Netflix earlier this year called “Mike Epps: Indiana Mike.”

Cedric Antonio Kyles, better known by his stage name  Cedric the Entertainer , is an American actor, comedian, and game show host. He hosted BET’s “ComicView” during the 1993–94 season and “Def Comedy Jam” in 1995. He is best known for co-starring with Steve Harvey on the famed sitcom “The Steve Harvey Show,” as one of The Original Kings of Comedy, and for starring as Eddie Walker in “Barbershop.” He hosted the 12th season of the daytime version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” in 2013–14 and starred in the TV Land original series “The Soul Man,” which aired from 2012 until 2016. He has also done voice work for “Ice Age,” the “Madagascar” film series, “Charlotte’s Web,” and the “Planes” franchise. He has recently been a part of multiple TV Series, including “The Neighborhood” from 2018-22 and “Woke” from 2020-22.

Comedian, actor, and voice-artist  Earthquake  earned a solid fan base in standup comedy via programming platforms fueled by BET, HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime, and more. Born Nathaniel Stroman, ‘Quake’ (as he’s known by fans) entered America’s households on the classic run of BET’s “Comic View” and HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” In addition, Earthquake wowed audiences with one of his most memorable performances for HBO’s coveted 30-minute comedy special series, ​”One Night Stand,” and has filmed a string of other comedy specials, including “About Got Damn Time,” “Walter Latham Presents,” “From the Outhouse to the Whitehouse” and more.

One of the most popular and universally recognized standup comedians on the road today has also made quite an impression in the television, film, and radio arenas.  D.L. Hughley  can currently be heard nationwide as the host of his afternoon radio show, “The DL Hughley Show,” nationally syndicated in over 60 cities across the country. A New York Times best-selling author, D.L. Hughley has written various books, including “How to Survive America,” “Surrender, White People,” “Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years” and “How Not to Get Shot.” In addition, D.L. Hughley continues to dominate the standup stage, producing specials for Netflix, Showtime, and HBO.

John Whitfield, better known as  DC Young Fly , is an internet personality, comedian, actor, host, rapper, and singer-songwriter best known for his “roasting sessions” videos on Instagram and Vine. His videos earned him co-signs from celebrities like Kevin Hart, Michael Blackson, Lebron James, Chris Tucker, etc. DC has starred in films such as Almost Christmas (2016), She Ball with Nick Cannon, and I Got the Hook Up 2 with Master P (2019). In addition, he was a recurring cast member on the improv comedy show Wild’ N Out on MTV, VH1, and MTV2; and a main host for the revival of TRL on MTV from 2017 to 2018. As a musician, DC has also taken the reins in the music industry, reaching the Top 10 on iTunes R&B wIth his 12th mixtape, TRAPSOUL, and opened for Chris Brown’s “Party Tour” (2017). In 2021, he opened his improv comedy club, “DC Comedy Exchange,” in Miami Beach, Florida. Most recently, DC filmed alongside Jacob Latimore (The Chi) and Rotimi (Power) in the 2023 remake of the 1990 film of the same name, House Party, which was released last Friday, January 13.

Mike Epps launching new comedy tour in hometown Indianapolis

Comedian, actor and Indianapolis native Mike Epps will launch a big-name comedy tour in his hometown next month.

The Straight Jokes! No Chaser Comedy Tour will begin its cross-country journey March 4 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, Earthquake and DC Young Fly will join Epps on stage for the 8 p.m. show.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster's website, bit.ly/3Wy5xyh .

Epps filmed his most recent comedy special, "Indiana Mike," during three shows at the Madam Walker Legacy Center in 2021.

Last year, Epps and his wife, Kyra, announced an HGTV home renovation reality show set in Indianapolis. It will air this spring.

Circus performer returns to first stage he ever performed on at Scarborough Renaissance Festival

A crack of a whip rings out through the quaint buildings that surround the Traveler's Stage in the Scarborough Renaissance Festival.

The sound is followed by a laugh from Jack Lepiarz who is practicing his whip-cracking act.

Lepiarz, better known by his stage name Jacques Ze Whipper , travels to Renaissance fairs and festivals across the country to perform his talent.

"The skill that I most wanted to learn was whip cracking because my dad did whip cracking," Lepiarz said.

Lepiarz combines his classic circus performance skills and comedy for a spectacular show that has gone viral on social media. The lifelong performer has gained 3.2 million followers for posting clips of his act and other circus performance content.

A Waco, Texas native, Lepiarz grew up performing circus skills that he learned from his dad. He took a special interest in whip cracking after seeing an Indiana Jones movie.

Performing at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival is special for Lepiarz because it's where he had his first performance with his dad at 6 years old.

After a small detour of college and 13 years in radio broadcast, Lepiarz returned to the performing circuit because he missed it.

"A few years ago realized I missed the circus and ran away with the circus," Lepiarz said.

Today Lepiarz finds community in his performance, collaborating with other performers like Adam Winrich . The two whip crackers are working on a special joint performance for the Renaissance Festival.

Netflix has greenlit a six-episode dark comedy series from Tom Segura .

Per the official description, the currently untitled series “centers on Segura, who also serves as the show’s narrator, as he takes us through each episode in a series of vignettes. The twisted comedic sensibility of Tom’s standup is the core DNA of this series, where every story will unfold in a hilariously disturbing way only he could imagine.”

Segura wrote, self-financed and produced the pilot before selling it to Netflix, which is producing the full series later this year and releasing it in 2025. Rami Hachach directed the pilot.

Jeremy Konner will serve as head writer. He is best known for co-creating the educational comedy series “Drunk History,” which ran on Comedy Central for six seasons from 2013 to 2019, as well as the children’s puppet series “Waffles & Mochi,” which had one season and a special on Netflix in 2021 as well as a six-episode spinoff in 2022.

Segura and Ryan Hall will produce through Your Mom’s House Studios.

Segura has previously worked with Netflix on five comedy specials: “Sledgehammer” (2023), “Ball Hog” (2020), “Disgraceful” (2018), “Mostly Stories” (2016) and “Completely Normal” (2014). He is currently on a stand-up tour titled “Come Together.” In 2022, he published the bestselling comedic essay collection “I’d Like to Play Alone, Please.” Via his YMH Studios banner, he co-hosts the podcasts “Your Mom’s House” with his wife, comedian Christina Pazsitzky and “2 Bears 1 Cave” with comedian Bert Kreischer.

Taping at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City on November 2nd, as part of her recently announced The Get Ready Tour , the special’s premiere date will be announced at a later date. As the voice of the Elder Millennial generation, Shlesinger uses it to bring back her familiar, physical, fast-paced style peppered with characters, animals and insights, from stripper heels to gorilla wives to a lesson for Gen Z.
