5-Day Private Tour from Agadir to Fes via Marrakech and the Sahara Desert
My friend and I booked a holiday to Marrakesh and decided to book a couple of trips via Tourradar. The tour guides organised by Tiyia tours were excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable and could speak very good English. Yassine who took us on a tour was not only very knowledgeable about the area but helped enormously when we were purchasing items. He gave us a good idea of what items were worth and helped to barter successfully. everything was excellent and very well arranged. I would most definitely use Tihya tours again, highly recommend.

9-Day Private Tour: Explore Morocco's Enchanting South from Agadir
From start to finish we loved this tour. Rachid our guide was brilliant with both his information, but also his hidden little gems including roadside vendors and local markets. The accommodations booked by the company was awesome - comfortable, lovely staff, central to everything and usually visually stunning. We did the 9 day tour and our only regret was we did not have more time. Everything and everywhere was so different which surprised us. The Sahara desert, Dadnes Gorge and Chefchaouen were favourites which surprised us as we expected Marrakesh and Fes to be favourites (that said Marrakesh and Fes were incredible and we wished we could have explored longer). We cannot describe how different the cities, countryside, people, cultures and foods are as you move between the different areas. The only consistency - the lovely welcoming people. Like everywhere there are some annoying people, but filter that, and the people of Morocco are generally friendly, hospitable and lovely. We had some things we were interested in, and the tour company was happy to accommodate any request, but we decided to see their choices, and then alter if we felt they had missed the mark. Their choices exceeded all of our expectations and we are so happy we went with their choices, they were amazing. The more time you have the better, this is such a diverse country. We have done a number of private tours and this one is right up there as one of, if not, the best. Morocco is truly an amazing place to visit, Discover Morocco Tours and especially Rachid are top notch. We rarely return to places, but we genuinely hope to be able to come back to Morocco, it is beautiful, mystical, colourful, and the food and people are just the best!! We strongly suggest requesting Rachid.

From Agadir: 7 Day Private Tour via Essaouira, Marrakech & The Sahara Desert
Overall experience was good. Our half day tour in Fes was so/so, we were directed through many stores that our day guide had picked out. Obviously there is a lot of driving as places are far apart and the roads that connect them aren’t great. The accommodations were excellent and the two dinners included were also excellent. The highlight was the overnight desert experience, that was phenomenal. I wish there were more bathroom breaks scheduled into this and that maybe you could do a grocery store run at the beginning for bottled water and easy driving snacks as we were constantly buying and overpaying for water. Some of the restaurants we stopped at which we felt we had to eat lunch at weren’t very good but we had limited options along the way sometimes. Other times we were offered lunch at 11am or wait until the next stop, not knowing the next stop was 2-4 hours away. I think being clear with whichever driver you get about making stops etc is important and also our fault for not communicating clearly enough. A more clearly defined itinerary, giving approximate times for the when you will leave, when you will arrive to different locations would be very helpful. A more detailed itinerary which identifies which accommodations have dinner included in the reservation would also be very helpful. We were left a little stressed over not knowing the price for dinner one night, to thankfully find out it was part of the accommodation package. Defining cost for various activities on the itinerary would also be a very good initiate to put in place. Many of the stops have an entrance fee, on top of the cost of the tour. Giving your clientele all the information to manage expectations would be another great initiative you could putp into fruition. Overall more communication with your client about the experience would help greatly make this a 5 star experience. We would have appreciated some small changes to the itinerary based on our interests (ei: no stop at the studio in Ourzzazate). Better itinerary definitions and more clearly managing your clients expectations in regards to additional cost of all activities is an absolute must for your company.

4-Day Agadir Desert Tour Itinerary
Day 1: agadir to ouarzazate.
We will start our 4-day desert tour from Agadir to Ouarzazate. During this tour, we will drive through several Berber communities in the Sous Valley. We will stop at Taroudant, also known as “Little Marrakech,” which was built as a military base to protect against the Portuguese invasion. You will have time to explore the town’s old Medina before moving on to Taliouine and Taznakht.
Our next stop is the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is the largest in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will then go to the movie city in Ouarzazate, which is famous for its Atlas Studios. Many movies and TV shows, such as Prison Break and Gladiator, were filmed there. You will get a tour of the studios, and we will take you to your accommodation at the end of the day.
Day 2: Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert
We will resume the 4-day desert tour from Agadir after breakfast. We will visit the Skoura and Rose Valley oasis areas and then go to Todgha Gorges to have lunch and look at the beautiful walls of the canyon. After that, we will visit Touroug and Erfoud. Once we get to Merzouga desert, we will take the camels across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to reach the Berber desert camp where you will spend the night. While you enjoy your time under the beautiful starry sky, the locals will entertain you with music around the fire.
Day 3: Merzouga to Agdez
On this day of your 4-day desert tour from Agadir , you will have a great chance to see a beautiful sunrise from the top of the dunes. After that, you’ll have breakfast, and then we’ll go to Rissani. Then we’ll go across the Draa Valley, stopping at Alnif, Tazarrine, and Nkob along the way. You can choose to drive off-road over the historic caravan path and old kasbahs on your way to Agdez.

We stop for lunch in Taliouine, which is in the saffron-growing region of Morocco.
There is a great, small museum there that is all about the art of saffron farming. In the afternoon, the road takes us back to Taroudant. I was in Merzouga many years ago and want to do similar camel trip on Erg Chegaga - how to organise it as an individual traveler? Will it be a good scenario if I will arrive in Zaghura for one night and look for any local travel agency who will took us to Erg Chegaga for the next night? Or should I (after one night in Zaghura) drive directly to M'hamid (don't know if the road is safe for a little car ) and then look for an accommodation?
My flight is to and from Agadir so I want to return slowly to Agadir with visiting Ourzazate, maybe Todra and
many other towns but we want to visit the desert as soon as possible as we're going for the birthday the day next after landing in Agadir.

Not a great idea, it’s a good 8.5 hours driving plus stops for lunch, coffees, photos, fuel, so allow at least ten hours.
And you are confusing deserts and sand dunes. Much of the south is desert with a Hamada surface, so you really only need to go a couple of hours.
Erg Chigaga is more difficult to access than Erg Chebbi so I think it's best to try and arrange something in advance with an agency from Zagora or Mhamid
There are tour touts as you enter M’hamid (least there were when I went late last year) and most of the hotels on the road as you enter town, can arrange a 4x4 ride out to the big dune area.
The desert area by M’Hamid is mostly scrub land and hard desert. You need to go at least an hour by 4x4 , off road , before you see the sand dunes.
