The tour indicates it is an active tour. Just how active is it? They make it sound like one should be very physically fit. We will be traveling with people who are 70 years old and while active, they are average in fitness. Would they be ok on this tour?

' class=

Could you perhaps ask them their definition of 'active"?

Do you not know the itinerary of your tour? Can you not tell from that?

Obviously impossible to comment much on such a vague post. One thing that may be relevant is that many riads/dars do not have lifts so you need to be able to get upstairs to accommodation. Why I mention this in particular is that we witnessed a member of a tour group who would have been in that age bracket have real difficulties with climbing up steps to get to her room.

Personally, i didn't get what you mean?

You might want to use backpacks. It makes it easier to move your luggage from place to place and bus to room. And many of the sites and cities include Long walks with some very steep hills and for example Fes has many stairs and hills.

The Best place to visit in Morocco

Climate and seasons in morocco, food & drinks.

Morocco is a country that is unique in the Muslim world. Its richly diverse culture has been shaped by 3,000 years of history, by ethnic groups whose roots go far back in time, and by its geographical location, with the Atlantic Ocean to the west and sub-Saharan Africa to the south. Morocco is an enticing blend of quiet traditional life and attractive tourist, a place where atmospheric souks and sublime scenery converge to create enthralling travel experiences.

Bordered by the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, joined to the African continent by the Sahara, and diagonally bisected by the long mountain chain of the High and Middle Atlas, Morocco does not have a uniform climate. It is cold by moist northwesterly winds and seared by hot, dry south easterlies such as the chergui. In summer, conditions are those of a hot arid zone. In winter, which is very mild except in the mountains, conditions switch to those of a temperate coastal zone.

Renowned for its delectable and various dishes, Morocco was classified second in the 2017 ranking of the best gourmand’s global destinations, according to the British blog Worldsim Travel. The kingdom offers its visitors an exceptional culinary experience. Marrakech, Fez, Agadir, and Rabat are among the most tempting culinary destinations. More than 15 Moroccan restaurants are amongst the 1000 best restaurants worldwide.

The Best time to visit Morocco

The best things to do in morocco, how many days should you spend in morocco.

Morocco stretches from the Mediterranean coast to the dunes of the Sahara, with lots of varied geography in between. As a result, climate and weather vary greatly depending on where you spend your time. September through May works well for most travelers, and those prioritizing a trip to the desert should stick to winter and spring. If you are traveling in the summer months and want to beat the heat, Tangier in the north and Essaouira on the Atlantic Seaboard are great options.

Morocco has activities for travelers of all ages and interests. With such a diverse landscape — from plains to mountains to coast and desert — Morocco is a great place for both adventure and relaxation. Check out our list of favorite things to do below. Exploring Souks and Medinas, Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Visit a Hammam, Camel Trekking in the Sahara Desert, Quad Bikes & ATVs…

One week is a solid amount of time to explore Morocco’s desert and Imperial cities at a moderate pace. In two weeks you can add hiking in the Atlas Mountains and relaxation on the Atlantic coast. With less than 5 days, it’s best to focus your time: see Casablanca, Chefchaouen, and Fes in the north, or stick to Marrakech and the Sahara in the south.

TESTIMONIALS

Our experience with Gate Travel Morocco was amazing, the people were incredibly respectful and welcoming, and they went beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The city itself has some beautiful attractions, but the desert experience was truly unique. We spent the day traveling through villages, cascades, and mountains, and rode camels through the desert. At night, we enjoyed a private dinner in a luxury desert camp with fire and singers. The camp had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Overall, we highly recommend Gate Travel Morocco for an unforgettable experience.

We had an amazing time touring Marrakesh with Mustafa, our tour guide, and Mohammed our driver. they took us to the garden, the YSL Museum, the palace, the Souks, the square, the mosque, and so much more. Mustafa was an amazing man who explained very detail of the city to us, and Mohammed was an excellent driver who made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. they answered all our questions and made sure we had one the best days of our visit to Marrakesh. we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city. top marks for Mustafa and Mohammed.

A family of four, including two teenagers, set out with Gate Travel Morocco on a personalized twelve-day tour of Morocco. The experience was truly amazing. The company carefully customized and expertly executed an itinerary that included preferences. The tour includes luxurious accommodations, a wonderful special guide named Mohammed, and interesting local guides at various locations. From exploring the cities of Fez, Marrakech, and Chefchouen to a nomadic village in the desert to hiking in the Dedes Gorge, every moment was full of excitement for Gate Travel Morocco to customize the destinations worked well, and made the trip enjoyable for the family. Meeting Mohammed was a highlight as he is kind, knowledgeable, and an excellent driver.
