Drive Through This One-Of-A-Kind Florida Safari Park With Over 150 Free-Roaming Animals
Florida never ceases to amaze with its wealth of natural beauty and wild adventures.
Let’s venture into the heart of a safari park where over 150 animals roam freely across expansive landscapes.
Wild Florida Airboats & Gator Park is not your typical walk in the park.
It’s where the pavement ends, and the wild begins!
Ready to spot your first wild animal?
Venturing into Wild Florida, you’re immediately struck by the expanse of untouched wilderness.
Here, the airboat experience is not just a ride but an expedition into a world that feels a million miles from the concrete jungle.
The wind in your hair, the spray of water in your face, and the roar of the airboat’s engine combine to create a symphony of sensations that’s both exhilarating and oddly soothing.
Let’s not forget the all-stars of the park: the gators.
These prehistoric creatures command respect and fascination.
Watching them from the safety of the airboat, you’ll see them basking in the sun, swimming gracefully, or perhaps even catching their lunch.
It’s a rare opportunity to witness these wild animals in their natural habitat, and it’s nothing short of spectacular.
But wait, there’s more!
The adventure continues with a drive through the safari park, where over 150 free-roaming animals call this slice of paradise home.
Picture a giraffe gracefully strutting alongside your vehicle or a herd of water buffalo lounging in the mud.
This isn’t just a bunch of animals hanging around waiting for something to happen—this is their turf, and they own it.
Every turn of the wheel brings a new surprise.
Will it be a zebra flaunting its stripes as if it knows it’s the height of fashion in the animal kingdom?
Or perhaps an ostrich, peering curiously at its reflection in the side mirror, giving you that “Who’s the fairest of them all?” look.
The whole experience is a reminder that sometimes, the best adventures don’t require a passport, just a sense of wonder and the eagerness to roll down your windows.
Welcome to the wild side of Florida, where every creature, great and small, is part of the magic.
And yes, that includes you too.
For those who prefer to stay on dry land, the Gator Park is a must-visit.
Now, you might think you’re just signing up to see some gators, which, let’s face it, are pretty much living dinosaurs.
But hold onto your hats because this place is like the Noah’s Ark of dry land.
You’ll stroll in, probably thinking about the last time you saw a gator outside of a handbag store and bam!
You’re face to face with zebras.

And lemurs?
They’re like your quirky uncle who shows up to family events with the best stories.
They’ll cling to a tree, eyeing you with a curious gaze, making you feel like maybe you’re the one on display.
Oh, and let’s not forget the porcupines.
They might look like they have a permanent bad hair day, but they’re actually the introverts of the animal kingdom, just hanging out and waiting for Netflix to make a documentary about them.
The staff at Gator Park, bless their hearts, they’ll talk your ear off about every animal like proud parents at a graduation ceremony.
It’s a hoot!
Trust me, you’ll leave with more stories than you came up with, and a newfound appreciation for the critters that share our world.
Feeling peckish after all that excitement?
The Chomp House Grill serves up some hearty fare that’s sure to satisfy your appetite.
Whether you’re in the mood for gator bites (yes, you read that right) or something a little less adventurous, the menu has something for everyone.
Dining al fresco, with nature’s soundtrack in the background, adds to the charm of the experience.
What truly sets Wild Florida apart is the commitment to conservation and education.
The park is not just about providing thrills but about fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
By participating in their interactive programs, guests leave with a greater understanding of the importance of preserving our environment.
Safety is paramount at Wild Florida.
The staff takes great care to ensure that every visitor has a fun and safe experience.
Whether you’re on an airboat or exploring Gator Park on foot, you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.
Planning your visit is a breeze.
The park is open year-round, and it’s advisable to check the weather before you go, as some activities are best enjoyed on a sunny day.
You can book your tickets online or at the gate, but remember, the early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the best airboat departure times!
If you’re looking to capture memories, bring your camera.
The park is a photographer’s dream, with stunning landscapes, captivating wildlife, and the raw beauty of Florida’s wetlands.
Each photo will tell a story of your adventure in this untamed oasis.
And when the day is done, the memories made at Wild Florida Airboats & Gator Park will linger long after you’ve left.
It’s a place that embodies the spirit of Florida —wild, untamed, and utterly unforgettable.
For more information on this exceptional safari park, don’t hesitate to visit its website or check out its vibrant Facebook page .
And to plan your route, use this handy map to guide you straight to the heart of the adventure.

This week, the park distributed $6,000 to six Osceola County high school seniors who have shown exceptional academic achievement, leadership qualities, and a commitment to conservation.
The scholarship recipients were honored during the Education Foundation Osceola County’s Scholarship Program, which celebrated its 30th anniversary on April 24. The event, held at Osceola Heritage Park, saw students, their families, and friends gather in anticipation of the scholarship announcements. A record of 500 scholarships valued at over $1.1 million dollars were awarded that evening.
“We're deeply appreciative of the chance to invest in our future generation through our Wild Florida Cares Scholarship,” said PJ Brown, Director of Sales at Wild Florida. “This year's awards ceremony provided us with the honor of connecting with our recipients, reaffirming that our scholarships are indeed making a positive impact.”
Funds for the Wild Florida Cares Scholarship are raised during Gator Week, which usually takes place the last week of May, attracts wildlife enthusiasts, tourists, and locals to celebrate Florida's iconic reptile, the American alligator. To encourage donations, guests are offered free entry to the Gator Park when they donate to the Wild Florida Cares Scholarship upon entry. This exciting week-long event features a variety of educational and entertaining activities, live alligator demonstrations, interactive shows, and airboat rides through the headwaters of the Florida Everglades.
This year, Gator Week will run from May 27 to June 1, during which Wild Florida aims to raise even more funds for next year’s scholarship program. To date, the park has provided over $13,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in Osceola County.

THINGS TO DO
a pretty tall resident
Hello! I'm Frankie, a member of the capybara family here at Wild Florida. Though I might not be as flashy as some, my large stature and gentle nature certainly draw attention. Known for being the world's largest rodent, I enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, often found rolling in mud or munching on palm fronds. I'm looking forward to your visit and sharing some peaceful time together!
Hiya! I'm Harley, a member of the macaw family at our beautiful aviary. Although I'm not your typical macaw, my vivid blue and orange feathers make me quite the spectacle. As a Harlequin Macaw, I'm known for my playful nature and dazzling personality. You can find me charming visitors with my vocal tricks. I can't wait to meet you and share some fun moments on your next visit!
Hi there! I’m Leroy, a member of the giraffe family at Wild Florida. Although I’m not the tallest, I still stand out in our Drive-thru Safari. You can spot me mingling or munching on some leaves as you pass by. I’m looking forward to making your acquaintance on your next safari adventure!
"Hello there! I’m Daphne, a Florida Bobcat, and I live here at Wild Florida. I have distinctively crooked ear from a past ear infection so I stand out a bit from my feline friends. I love spending my days indulging in catnip and playing with my keepers, but I'd be thrilled to meet you during your visit!"
Hi there! I'm Walter, the towering giant of Wild Florida's giraffe family. As the third giraffe to join this wild family, I've become a familiar face, easily spotted from your car as you journey through the Drive-thru Safari. It's a pretty sweet deal being the tallest guy in the park, and I can't wait to meet you on your next safari adventure!
“Hello! My name is Sebastian, the ring-tailed lemur with a flair for the dramatic and a swing in my step! I'm eight years old and easily recognizable by my unique Hershey kiss-shaped eyebrow marking. I spend my days mastering the art of balance on my favorite toy, the swing. When I'm not lounging on the swing, I indulge in my all-time favorite snack, craisins. Life's a swing, and I'm here to enjoy every moment of it. So, come along, why don't you? Let's bask in the sun, savor the little joys, and maybe share a craisin or two. Welcome to my world!"
“Hi guys! I'm Stella, and I am an African crested porcupine that lives at Wild Florida! I have been at Wild Florida for four years. One of my good friends is Green Bean, an African Pied Hornbill that lives with me. I hope to meet you in person one day, and don’t worry; I don’t poke you with my quills!”
“Hello there! We’re Snowflake and Blizzard, and we’re both albino alligators that live at Wild Florida. We’re originally from St. Augustine, but Wild Florida is our home now. Because we’re fully albino, we spend a lot of our time in the shade or swimming to keep cool, but we’d love to meet you during your visit!”
“Hiya! My name is Nala, and I’m the official Florida panther ambassador for Wild Florida. While I enjoy taking a few cat naps throughout the day, I spend most of the day playing with the Wild Florida family or swimming in my very own pool. You should see how high I can jump when I’m trying to catch my favorite enrichment toys. Hope to see you soon!”
Hi there! My name is Yeti, I was born at Wild Florida, and my parents are Snowflake and Blizzard. I like to spend time in the shade and keep cool in the pool.
“Hello! My name is Crusher, and I’m actually the biggest alligator here at Wild Florida and in Osceola County! I’ve lived at Wild Florida seven years and actually have my own exhibit you can visit. It’s pretty hot in Florida, so I spend most of my days keeping cool in my pool, but I’d love to have lunch with you sometime!🍴”
“Hi there! My name is Guy, and I’m one of the two-toed sloths that live at Wild Florida. While I spend most of my days sleeping, I typically spend time with Chloe. However, I do get to hang out with guests that visit. Maybe we can split a cob of corn when you stop by! Hope to see you soon!”

About Snowflake and Blizzard
In May 2017, Wild Florida acquired Blizzard and Snowflake who became the first pair of breeding albino alligators in Central Florida and one of the few places in the world where visitors can see these rare animals. Originally from the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, these two give visitors from around the world a unique opportunity to not only learn more about alligators but also the special care that goes into housing an albino species.
Due to the lack of melanin this species produces, their skin is completely white and sensitive to the sunlight, so our team built a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled exhibit with plenty of shade and a heating lamp to keep them comfortable in their new home.
Age: Blizzard is 16 years old and Snowflake is 30 years old Unique characteristic: One of the easiest ways to tell Blizzard and Snowflake apart is just by looking at their size. Blizzard, the male alligator, is about 10 feet long and Snowflake is about 8 feet long. You can also tell them apart by looking at their eyes. Blizzard’s eyes are both an opaque white, similar to the color of milk. However, Snowflake’s right eye is opaque white and her left eye has two red birthmarks. Favorite enrichment toys: Diving for treats on the bottom of their pool Favorite snack: Chicken
Nala joined the Wild Florida family when she was four-months-old in August 2017 from an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited facility in Texas which prides itself on its dedication to the preservation of big cats and other endangered animals. Nala’s mother couldn’t provide for her, so we had to raise her by hand. Before Nala moved in, our team built a custom exhibit featuring a water pool and elevated platforms among native foliage for Nala to have the most comfortable and natural home.
Now that she’s fully grown, our trainers work with Nala every day in daily enrichment activities that keep her physically and mentally active. Along with keeping Nala mentally stimulated, these activities mimic natural behaviors she’d perform in the wild.
Age: Three years old Unique characteristic: She has a white patch of fur on her left shoulder Favorite enrichment toys: Stuffed animals to shred and plastic balls Favorite snack: Raw chicken breast
Florida Panther Conservation
Conservation Status: Critically Endangered
Everyone who visits Wild Florida has the opportunity to help save the endangered Florida panther. After each airboat ride, our guests can participate in a hands-on gator show where they learn more about the American alligator. During the show, guests can even hold and take a photo with one of our friendly live gators. Since the American alligator no longer needs human intervention to survive, Wild Florida has committed to donate a percentage of our alligator picture proceeds to The Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge (FFPR).
We are excited to partner with The Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge and support their efforts to protect and conserve this amazing animal. FFPR is the official support organization working hand in hand with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to create and promote a better understanding and appreciation of the Florida panther. Their mission is to be an active advocate and supporter of this endangered species. Wild Florida is proud to help support and improve the status of the approximately 100 Florida panthers remaining in the wild today. By purchasing alligator pictures, you are giving back and helping bring the Florida panther out of endangerment. Please join with us in saving our beautiful Florida panthers.
After years of failed attempts to produce offspring by albino alligator parents Blizzard and Snowflake, Wild Florida was blessed with a snowstorm of albino baby gators in 2020. From a clutch of 26 eggs, Yeti has become a superstar along with his three siblings. They are the World’s Only albino gators hatched at a facility open to the public. Wild Florida’s mission is to help people make a connection with animals. We hope Yeti makes you say WOW and encourages a new level of interest in these beautiful animals. Yeti shines a different light on alligators and other crocodilians by inspiring people to see them as more than monstrous eating machines to be feared by all.
By sharing Yeti with the world, Wild Florida aims to convert our fear of alligators into awe, respect, and adoration for one of nature’s most incredible animals. When people become more familiar with alligators, it increases their awareness and desire to help their conservation. We agree with naturalist Baba Dioum who said, “In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we have been taught.”
Age: 2 years old Favorite snack: Mice and chicks
About Crusher
Crusher was a rescue alligator brought to us from a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) licensed trapper in the SNAP program. If we hadn’t brought Crusher and found him a home at Wild Florida then he would have been euthanized according to Florida state law. Crusher is a very special and unique gator. He has become highly trained and shows strong intelligence. Being able to work with him is an honor!
Age: Over 65 years old Unique characteristic: Over 13 feet long and in his own exhibit Favorite enrichment toys: Pumpkins and watermelons Favorite snack: Chicken
American Alligator Conservation
Guy was the first sloth to join our Wild Florida family and will always hold a special place in our hearts. You can usually find him catching some ZzZ’s in his favorite clay pot or munching on some corn on the cob!
Age: Eight years old Unique characteristic: His fur is much darker than the other two-toed sloths at Wild Florida Favorite enrichment toys: A clay pot that he loves to cozy up and nap in Favorite snack: Corn
Two-toed Sloth Conservation

While the VIP Sloth Experience makes dreams come true for guests, a portion of funds raised by the VIP Sloth Experience will be donated to the APC Panama to help their efforts in the preservation and conservation.
