Very disappointing concert after seeing them live several times before and being really impressed with the band. The sound was murky, with the bass far too dominant that it drowned out all other instruments. Previous shows had a changing pace with a great mix of rock, electronic and acoustic based songs. This time it was unrelenting noise and a lack of subtlety. With the exception of Russell Leetch who smiled throughout the gig, the band seemed to be going through the motions of yet another performance. Hoped for better.

Editors were fantastic!

Great band, great choice of songs.

They were awesome and played great music I really enjoyed the concert.

The only BAD - thing was the VENUE.

Marble Factory/ Motion Bristol- during the concert I felt like been in the OVEN! It was too hot and too humid!

There is no ventilation and I am not exadurating it was possibly 40’C where you could barely breathe.

My all time favourite band, can't understand why they are still so underrated, it's almost ridiculous. They never cease to amaze me with every show. Went to see them in Budapest, convinced they were supposed to play in a certain location but ended up playing in a totally different one, so a bit unsatisfied with the organiser... but in the end it didn't even matter that much, because I got to see the most amazing show on my birthday. A ton of love for my Editors!

About editors.

Editors are an English rock band, formed in 2002 in Birmingham. Previously known as Pilot, The Pride and Snowfield, the band currently consists of Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (lead guitar), and Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals). Editors have so far released two platinum studio albums, and five in total, with several million combined sales. Their debut album The Back Room was released in 2005. It contained the hits "Munich" and "Blood" and the following year received a Mercury Prize nomination. Their follow-up album An End Has a Start went to number 1 in the UK Album Chart in June 2007 and earned the band a Brit Awards nomination for best British Band. It also spawned another Top 10 hit single, "Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors". The band's third album, In This Light and on This Evening, was released in October 2009 and went straight to number 1 in the UK Album Chart. The band released their fourth studio album, The Weight of Your Love, in July 2013, followed by self-produced In Dream in October 2015. Alongside their critical acclaim and strong success in the charts, Editors have consistently enjoyed sold-out tours and numerous headlining festival slots. Their brand of dark indie rock is commonly compared to the sound of bands such as Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Interpol, The Chameleons and U2.

editors tour dates 2024

Photo: Rahi Rezvani

When they first announced themselves to the world back in the mid noughties, Editors were pegged in some quarters as just another indie-rock guitar band with a Joy Division fixation. Yet, in the years since that scene’s expiration, Birmingham’s finest miserablists have shown themselves to be capable of so much more.

Continuously twisting the band’s trademark sound into a variety of forward-thinking shapes, they’ve boldly revitalised their aesthetic at every turn. It would have been very easy for them to religiously cling to the formula that propelled their 2005 debut ‘The Back Room’ to a platinum certification and a Mercury nom, after all.

Arriving as the decade drew to a close, ‘In This Light and On This Evening’ served notice that Editors had no intention of happily sailing along in their comfort zone. Showcasing an increasingly confident and adventurous approach, the band’s third record incorporated fresh instrumental flavours.

Judiciously infusing a wider range of styles into their music has, in conjunction with a line-up change that saw two new band members (Justin Lockey on guitar and Elliot Williams on keys) broaden the Editors dynamic following the departure of founding guitarist Chris Urbanowicz, been crucial in allowing the group to forge a career that’s become increasingly unpredictable and fascinating with every release.

Kicking off the band’s ‘third act’ with the addition of Fuck Buttons/Blanck Mass experimentalist Benjamin John Power to their ranks, 2022’s genre-defying ‘EBM’ unleashed a tornado of age-be-damned innovation. Hammering together everything from indietronica and industrial rock to new wave, techno and synthwave, it found Editors swerving aggressively into dizzying new territory without losing their ability to serve up memorable songs.

With the group — completed by vocalist/guitarist Tom Smith, bassist Russell Leetch and drummer Ed Lay — about to embark on a series of live dates around the UK, we spoke to Leetch about their committed approach to rejuvenation, the key to retaining Editors’ distinct identity and whether or not he still wants, in the best way possible, to keep pissing people off.

It’s a question established bands often get asked, but how tricky is it to put a setlist together these days? Not just because of the amount of material you have to pull from, but also fusing together all the different styles you’ve explored on your records and incorporating Benjamin’s influence into pre-existing material.

Things like The Phone Book, which you find on ‘The Weight Of Your Love’, is very different to something like Picturesque off the new record. So those sitting next to each other is not the wisest thing to do in a set. It might be a bit confusing. It’s just about getting that flow right and taking someone on a journey, like how you would with a DJ set. You warm them up, then you play some of the bangers, bring it back down and then back up again.

We’re just rehearsing a set that’s got about 30 songs in it at the moment, which is obviously a bit too long.  I love going to watch The Cure. They’ve got so much to go through but it always seems to work when I see it. But it’s whether you want to go down that route of playing for that amount of time or making it more concise and more of a show.

What’s Ben added to your older numbers when you perform them with him in the band?

It brings new life to some things we’ve played over and over again, like Munich. Just putting the floaty lines on top with the keyboard makes it that little bit different. It’s what his ears are hearing from years ago, when we recorded it, when there was like a ghost echo which was done by the reverb off a guitar with a fan playing the strings. He mimics that, which is quite nice. So he’s reinventing old tricks. Ben’s music can be quite abrasive and bold, so bringing a bit of that to old songs is refreshing for us. Especially if you’ve played them thousands of times. Which we literally have.

How well do the songs from ‘EBM’ work live and what insights did you get from playing them in front of an audience?

The songs have gone down really well with the fanbase, so once they started coming to see the actual show it transitioned more to them. Strange Intimacy is a prime example of something transitioning live to where it is on the record. I think people can understand it. Maybe it doesn’t quite have that same lift off on the album than it does live. It’s stayed in the set and seems to be a staple for the fans. That’s often the way with bringing something to life. I don’t know where we’ll go next, though, because we haven’t started writing or anything, so next year is the time to do that. Once you get the desire, once you get the hunger for it, then things start rolling.

In an interview last year you said you wanted less electronic drums, and maybe more strings, on the next record.

I think we’re still looking to do something like that. A little bit more organic. We’re always a song-based band so however we dress them up, however we decorate them, the songs are always going to lead the way. Songs like Violence or something like that, you can hear our acoustic versions and it always works.

I suppose the challenge is to build on ‘EBM’ but, in typical Editors fashion, do something different too?

It’s always gonna be similar because it’s the same people in the room. The same melodies always kind of transition out. However much people think it’s a departure, it never really is. We haven’t gone David Bowie into drum and bass. So, it’s not too far away.

Elliot jokingly said you’re a band with a constant identity crisis, but what’s the core DNA that binds everything together and allows it to still sound like Editors, regardless of what styles you’re exploring?

It will always be Tom’s voice. Just the tone and the notes, melodies, that he will pick out. They’re always going to follow a similar thing. We’re never going to go too far that way or the other way. I think we’ve got our remit really. It’s that thing of, what did Martin Gore from Depeche Mode say, about if the sincerity of it isn’t felt? You’ve got to keep your identity as people, haven’t you? It would be interesting if we had an external writer present us with ideas, but it’s Tom’s voice binding it all together. He’s not gonna sing a melody he’s not comfortable with. It’s not gonna happen.

You’ve spoken in the past about how frustrating and reductive it was being compared to Interpol and Joy Division because of Tom’s voice. Did that ever make him self conscious or was it water off a duck's back?

I think you’d have to ask him, but the way his voice has evolved, you can hear the difference live especially, he’s become a better singer. Understanding notes more from where we were when in our 20s. So we’ve outgrown those comparisons now. Interpol have had their mould and it hasn’t really changed since day one, whereas we’ve gone on to try different routes a little bit more.

You had huge chart success in the UK straight out the gates as part of a certain movement that was popular at the time, not to mention lots of mainstream radio. When the scene shifted in the UK and that was no longer the case, was your willingness to evolve a key factor in navigating a potentially challenging time?

I guess so, yeah. If that goes and your fans don’t follow you’re gonna to be a bit screwed and it’s gonna be hard to make a career out of it. But we went to other countries and had success there on different records, which people in the UK don’t know about. They’re always going to be [focusing on] those first two albums, but when people come and see us it’s, ‘They’ve got some pretty decent tunes after those events.’ We’re currently like 1998 The Cure in our career. Eighteen years in since the ‘80s albums and you’re waiting for the anniversaries.

When you were younger and a more guitar-driven band, were you dogmatic about that style or did you always have much broader tastes and a desire to keep pushing your boundaries in the way you subsequently have done?

We came out at a time when rock music, guitar, indie, if you call it that, was popular. It was in the charts, on the airwaves, it was exciting. People loved those bands and their songs and you’re in the midst of it. But because we went over and toured a lot on the continent we built up more of an international fan base than a lot of UK bands and that’s never really changed. Again, it just goes back to being a song-based band. However you dress them up, people always attach their kind of thoughts, feelings or whatever to Tom’s vocal, what he’s saying and what it means to them.

I’m sure you know there’s a portion of your fan base who’d love you to do a guitar-dominated record again. Is that something you’d be keen to do in future, albeit alchemising it into something different than it was before?

I think so. We definitely all enjoy playing guitars. So we could do it and I think it would be a really good one because we’re better musicians now than we were at 20 years old. I watch some of our early shows and it was quite scrappy, which is fine, but it’s not like that any more. I doubt it would sound like ‘The Back Room’ though.

And what do you reckon the band who made ‘The Back Room’ would think if you played ‘EBM’ for them?

I don’t think it’s that far away. I think that’s one of the closest ones to it, really. If you’d have done that as the third album it wouldn’t have been an issue. It’s because we’ve taken people on a journey since with album number four and ‘In Dream’ as well. I think it’s just that the tempo is up on the latest record with all the influences on it.

New Edition's Las Vegas residency is still going strong through 2024, though only a few tour dates remain. Luckily, the iconic music group has added additional tour dates and there are a few different ways to buy New Edition tickets.

New Edition began their residency at the Encore Theater in Las Vegas in February, with their stay ultimately being extended through November. After their original six shows, New Edition added two more legs for this year for a total of 10 more concert dates. Performing on their 2024 concert tour are group members Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe, who sing their classic hits like "Candy Girl," "Cool It Now," and "If It Isn't Love."

If you're still looking for how to buy tickets to New Edition's concerts, we've got you covered. Here's our breakdown of the R&B group's tour schedule, purchasing details, and ticket prices. You can also browse tickets and show specifics on StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

New Edition 2024 tour schedule

All six members of New Edition are returning for the remainder of the group's Las Vegas residency, which kicks off on July 3. It features seven shows from July 3 to July 13 in Las Vegas, with the third leg picking back up for three additional concert dates in October and November.

The group is also appearing at the Cincinnati Music Festival in July.

All concert times are listed in local time zones.

How to buy tickets for New Edition's 2024 concert tour

You can buy original tickets for New Edition's 2024 Las Vegas residency concert dates and music festival appearance on Ticketmaster. However, since the residency extension shows went on sale in March 2024, the quantity of remaining original tickets is limited.

Tickets can also be purchased from verified resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats . You may have better luck with the variety of seating options and availability on resale sites compared to the original tickets still left.

It's also important to note that New Edition's shows at the Encore Theater in Las Vegas only permit concertgoers ages 18 and up — so be sure to bring your ID to get into the group's residency performances.

How much are New Edition's tickets?

Given the high demand for the group's remaining Las Vegas residency shows, tickets to see New Edition in 2024 are relatively expensive. Furthermore, ticket prices vary depending on each show's concert date and demand. Resale ticket prices are comparable to or cheaper than original ticket costs.

The cheapest original ticket prices on Ticketmaster begin at $175 for New Edition's Las Vegas shows on October 30 and November 1. The least expensive seats are generally in the left or right mezzanine. However, most other dates with remaining original tickets are a bit more costly, with the cheapest seats coming in at over $200.

On the other hand, original one-day Saturday tickets for New Edition's Cincinnati Music Festival performance start at only $65. This ticket also lets you see artists like Kem, Stokley, En Vogue, and Coco Jones. Check out the full line-up here .

The least expensive resale tickets available to New Edition's Las Vegas residency on StubHub start at $165 for the group's July 5 performance. Vivid Seats offers similar prices for resale tickets, as the cheapest available Las Vegas show passes begin at $165. However, both sites' base fares are slightly more expensive than the $65 original tickets for the Cincinnati Music Festival, as StubHub's begin at $72 while Vivid Seats' start at $73.

The First Look: Wells Fargo Championship

The First Look

Change Text Size

The Wells Fargo Championship, a Signature Event on the PGA TOUR schedule, will bring almost all the TOUR’s best to Quail Hollow Club.

We are set for another dramatic week with the 69-player field sprinting to the finish – trying to navigate the tricky "Green Mile" stretch, to boot – with the winner earning 700 FedExCup points.

With a reinvigorated Rory McIlroy going for his fourth win here and Wyndham Clark set to defend his first title, it’s set to be a great week.

Here’s everything you need to know as the TOUR returns to Charlotte.

Editor's note: Ludvig Åberg announced his withdrawal from the Wells Fargo Championship on Monday afternoon .

FIELD NOTES: McIlroy returns to a course where he’s had plenty of success, and once again with momentum. McIlroy teamed up with Shane Lowry (also in the field) to capture the Zurich Classic of New Orleans two weeks ago and has made Quail Hollow a home away from home. It’s the only TOUR event he’s won three times… Last year’s winner, Clark , returns to the Wells Fargo Championship looking to become the first man to ever go back-to-back. Clark captured the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am earlier this season… Max Homa is looking to continue his fine form at Quail Hollow. Homa finished T8 a year ago, and he’s won two of the previous four editions of this event. Homa and McIlroy are the only multiple champions of the Wells Fargo. Homa also went 4-0-0 at the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow in 2022… Viktor Hovland returns to action for the first time since missing the cut at the Masters. Hovland’s best result at Quail Hollow came in 2021 when he finished T3… Scheffler is the only eligible player electing not to tee it up at the Wells Fargo Championship as he and wife Meredith are awaiting the arrival of their first child… The latest TOUR winner, Taylor Pendrith , returns to Quail Hollow after playing in the Presidents Cup in 2022. He qualified for this week via the Aon Swing 5 after breaking through for his first TOUR title at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

SPONSOR EXEMPTIONS: Quail Hollow resident Webb Simpson will tee it up at his local TOUR event. He’s finished second and fourth at this event… Gary Woodland continues his comeback after brain surgery at the end of last year. He finished 14th the last time he teed it up at Quail Hollow and had a career-high fourth at the Wells Fargo Championship in 2015… Adam Scott has had a steady 2024 campaign with five top-25 finishes in eight starts. He finished fifth the last time he teed it up at the Wells Fargo Championship… Nine-time TOUR winner Matt Kuchar , whose career-best at Quail Hollow is a T23, rounds out the sponsor exemptions.

SIGNATURE EVENT STORYLINES: Wells Fargo is the sixth Signature Event on the 2024 PGA TOUR schedule… Kevin Tway , who finished No. 154 on last year’s FedExCup Fall standings – meaning he'd compete on Past Champion status in 2024 – took full advantage of the chance provided by the Aon Swing 5 over the last few weeks. He finished third at the Corales Puntacana Championship (after getting in on his number), partnered with Kelly Kraft for a T11 at the Zurich Classic, and finished ninth at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson. He outlasted Chad Ramey, Wesley Bryan and Martin Trainer for the fifth spot… Pendrith (winner of THE CJ CUP), Ben Kohles, Billy Horschel and Alex Noren rounded out the Aon Swing 5 … No player moved inside the Aon Next 10 at THE CJ CUP with Ludvig Åberg, Matthieu Pavon, Lowry, Stephan Jaeger, Will Zalatoris, Akshay Bhatia, Jake Knapp, Justin Thomas, Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Austin Eckroat the qualifiers there… The next Signature Event on the TOUR schedule is the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. The next round of the Aon Swing 5 kick-starts this week at the Myrtle Beach Classic, played alongside the Wells Fargo Championship.

COMCAST BUSINESS TOUR TOP 10 UPDATES: Thanks to his T4 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, Byeong Hun An moved up one spot in the Comcast Business TOUR TOP 10 to No. 8, with Pavon moving into the No. 9 spot… There was no other movement in the TOUR TOP 10 with Scheffler continuing his stranglehold on the top… Last year’s winner of the Wells Fargo Championship, Clark , remains No. 2… Pendrith’s win at THE CJ CUP saw the Canadian move to No. 34 in the standings… An and Chris Kirk remain the only players who have been in the TOUR TOP 10 every week so far this season.

FEDEXCUP: Winner receives 700 FedExCup points.

COURSE: Quail Hollow Club, par 71, 7,558 yards. After last year’s Wells Fargo Championship, the club closed for a few months for a renovation to prepare for this year’s TOUR event and next year’s PGA Championship. The club redid all the tees and greens, installed a new drainage system and, for the first time in 16 years, overhauled the bunkers. Laid out by George Cobb in the early 1960s, the club was re-worked by Tom Fazio as it prepared for the PGA Championship in 2017. Its "Green Mile" closing stretch (Nos. 16, 17, 18) continues to be one of the toughest on TOUR.

72-HOLE RECORD: 265, Clark (2023). McIlroy’s 21-under 267 in 2015 came when par for the course was 72.

18-HOLE RECORD: 61, McIlroy (Round 3, 2015).

LAST TIME: Clark won by four shots – and set the tournament scoring record in the process – for his maiden PGA TOUR title to kick-start an incredible run on the game’s biggest stages. Clark opened Sunday with a two-shot lead, surrendered it to Xander Schauffele after seven holes, and stormed back to play his final 11 holes in 4 under for the win. Clark finished at 19 under, four strokes clear of Schauffele. Clark was trending in the right direction heading into the week in Charlotte, having finished in the top six in three of his previous five tournaments. He would go on to win his first major, the U.S. Open, in June. Harris English and Tyrrell Hatton tied for third, with Tommy Fleetwood and Adam Scott sharing fifth place.

Olivia Rodrigo 's GUTS World Tour is fully underway and new stops keep being added. The day after her show-stopping 2023 VMAs performance , the musician announced that she'll be hitting the road and heading out on an over 60-stop tour in support of her critically acclaimed sophomore album — and you know we'll be seated for this one.

Olivia Rodrigo wrote most of Guts — which was released on September 8, 2023 — when she was 19 years old, and it's a deeply personal (but extremely relatable) album that she was thrilled to share with her fans. “I made the bulk of this album during my 19th year on this earth, a year that, for me, was filled with lots of confusion, mistakes, awkwardness, and good old-fashioned teen angst,” 20-year-old Rodrigo wrote before its release. “I cannot express how excited I am to embark on this new chapter of my life with you guys.”

Below, find out everything you need to know about Olivia Rodrigo's 2024 GUTS World Tour.

When and where did the Olivia Rodrigo GUTS World Tour kick off?

Olivia Rodrigo Guts world tour poster

Initially, we thought the tour would officially wrap on August 17, 2024, in California with four final Los Angeles shows, but she announced new stops across Asia and Australia on May 8, 2024, via social media .

While standard tickets in the U.S. retail between $49.50 and $199.50 plus taxes and fees, Rodrigo is also introducing Silver Star Tickets, a limited number of $20 tickets (plus taxes and fees) to “make it as easy and affordable as possible for her fans to make it out to her shows.” These must be purchased in pairs, and seat locations will be revealed on the day of the show.

What else do I need to know about the GUTS World Tour?

There's a charitable arm of the tour! Rodrigo is launching the Fund 4 Good, “a global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for all women and girls through direct support of community-based non-profits that champion girls’ education, support reproductive rights and prevent gender-based violence.” A portion of proceeds from all ticket sales will go to support the fund.

What are the exact GUTS tour dates?

Slipknot Announce Here Comes the Pain Summer Tour

Slipknot unveiled on Tuesday that they are heading on tour this summer for their Here Comes the Pain Tour to mark the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. The news comes on the heels of the band’s announcement yesterday, April 29, that they will return to their hometown of Des Moines, Iowa to headline Knotfest 2024 .

The tour will see the group stop in North American cities such as Columbus, Baltimore, New York, Austin, Los Angeles, and Austin. They then head overseas for a slate of dates in Europe and the U.K. The group will bring Knocked Loose on the road for the entirety of the tour. Orbit Culture and Vended will join for select dates.

“Just get ready to have your face kicked in. Because we just do what we do, spread that maggot culture – that disease,” Crahan added. “And you’ve been infected.”

Tickets go on sale for the general public on May 3 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can expect the group to deliver many of their earliest hits, which helped the group break through to a wider audience.

“We loved what we did with the first record but we didn’t even know if there was gonna be anything after that,” guitarist Jim Root said. “We just wanted people to hear it. Selling out of records and shows, having successful tours — those are goals for any band. But the dream scenario in some ways, came true for us.”
