Iron Maiden Announce First Non-Festival 2023 North American Tour Dates

Iron Maiden have just announced a trio of The Future Past tour dates in western Canada, all of which will take place before the metal legends head to California to perform at the first night of the three-day Power Trip festival .

In October of last year, Maiden announced a European leg of the all-new The Future Past Tour, which will place a special focus on material from their latest album,  Senjutsu , as well as 1986's classic Somehwere in Time , amid other career-spanning cuts.

This trek will now also make stops in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver on Sept. 28, 30 and Oct. 2, respectively, with the Power Trip fest being held on Oct. 6.

Iron Maiden Fan Club members will have pre-sale access starting on April 25, while the general on sale will begin on April 28 through Ticketmaster .

Last fall, Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood issued a message to fans , thanking them for an incredibly successful Legacy of the Beast tour, while looking forward to what The Future Past run has in store.

He also confirmed that this new tour will extend into 2024, so if you're among the fans freaking out that there's no U.S. dates or anything beyond the west coast in the U.S. and Canada, don't worry. It sounds like we'll all have our chance to catch Eddie and the boys before it's all over!

Iron Maiden Announce 2023 Canadian Tour Dates

Iron Maiden are returning to Canada this fall. The brief run consists of three headlining shows in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver starting in late September. Check out the fill itinerary below.

Additionally, Iron Maiden are set headline Power Trip in California on October 6. The festival also features Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC,  Tool , and  Guns N’ Roses . Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, Stagecoach, Cruel World, and more will be putting on Power Trip. The festival will take place in Indio, California at the Empire Polo Grounds (home of Coachella) on October 6 through October 8, 2023.

Last year, Iron Maiden brought their Legacy of the Beast Tour back to North American for another run due to overwhelming demand. The band’s latest album  Senjutsu  arrived in 2021. It peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock and Top Hard Rock Albums charts.

Brightly lit & security patrolled, the ICE District Central Parkade has hundreds of heated spaces and convenient access to Rogers Place and located on the north side of 103 Ave just west of 103 St. The parkade offers 6’10” (2.08 m) clearance and quick indoor access to Rogers Place via the ICE District Central Parkade P1 elevator or through the Stantec Tower Level Two pedway.

To access Rogers Place through the ICE District Plaza enter the plaza from 103 Avenue at 103 Street or from Plaza Way and 102 Street next to the JW Marriott Hotel. In addition, the Downtown Edmonton pedway system is fully open to Rogers Place via the overpasses from Edmonton Tower and Stantec Tower are fully open and directly connected to Rogers Place via Ford Hall.

Following the recent announcement of IRON MAIDEN ‘s headline performance at Power Trip festival in Indio, California on October 6, alongside GUNS N’ ROSES , AC/DC , OZZY OSBOURNE , METALLICA and TOOL , the band will also be bringing their highly anticipated “The Future Past” tour to Western Canada with three arena shows as follows:

Iron Maiden will be bringing their “Future Past Tour” to the Great White North for three shows this fall.

Previously, the “Future Past Tour” was only scheduled to hit the the UK and Europe this year, but with Maiden playing the massive Power Trip festival in Indio, California, in October, the metal legends have just added three Canadian dates to their itinerary.

Maiden will play Calgary on September 28th, Edmonton on September 30th, and Vancouver on October 2nd. A Live Nation pre-sale begins Thursday, April 27th, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code VINYL . General sales start on Friday, April 28th. Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

“The Future Past Tour” will find Maiden focusing on their classic 1986 album Somewhere in Time , as well as their latest full-length, Senjutsu , along with select favorites from other albums.

Iron Maiden Announce 2023 Canada Shows Leading Up to Power Trip Performance

The UK metal legends will bring their "Future Past Tour" to the Great White North

Iron Maiden will be bringing their “Future Past Tour” to the Great White North for three shows this fall.

Previously, the “Future Past Tour” was only scheduled to hit the the UK and Europe this year, but with Maiden playing the massive Power Trip festival in Indio, California, in October, the metal legends have just added three Canadian dates to their itinerary.

Maiden will play Calgary on September 28th, Edmonton on September 30th, and Vancouver on October 2nd. A Live Nation pre-sale begins Thursday, April 27th, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code VINYL . General sales start on Friday, April 28th. Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

Iron Maiden Add Canadian Dates To 2023 ‘Future Past’ Tour

Iron Maiden will be bringing their ‘Future Past’ Tour to Canada for three shows this coming autumn. Previously, the ‘Future Past’ tour was only scheduled to hit the UK and Europe this year, but with Maiden playing the massive Power Trip festival in Indio, California, in October, the metal legends have just added three Canadian dates to their itinerary.

For their Canadian dates, Iron Maiden will play Calgary on 28 September, Edmonton on 30 September 30 and Vancouver on 2 October.

Watch IRON MAIDEN Perform In Vancouver During 2023 'The Future Past Tour'

British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN performed at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on October 2 as part of their ongoing "The Future Past Tour" . Fan-filmed video of the concert can be found below.

"The Future Past Tour" features previously unperformed songs from the band's most recent studio album, "Senjutsu" , along with a focus on 1986's "Somewhere In Time" LP, plus other classic cuts.

As was the case at all the previous gigs on this tour, IRON MAIDEN 's 15-song set at Rogers Arena included "Days Of Future Past" , "The Time Machine" , "Death Of The Celts" and "Hell On Earth" from "Senjutsu" , along with "Alexander The Great" from "Somewhere In Time" .

The setlist was as follows:

Asked in a radio interview a number of years ago why IRON MAIDEN had never played "Alexander The Great" live, singer Bruce Dickinson answered, "Because Adrian [ Smith , guitar] can't remember the guitar solo." While Dickinson may have been joking, he did go on to say that, when the song was originally written, they put the solo through a load of then-very-advanced music computer wizardry, and it just couldn't figure out the time signature.

"Senjutsu" came out in September 2021. It marked MAIDEN 's second consecutive double album behind 2015's "The Book Of Souls" which is the longest MAIDEN album, with a running time of 92 minutes.

IRON MAIDEN 's first album in six years, "Senjutsu" was recorded in 2019 in Paris with longstanding producer Kevin Shirley and co-produced by bassist Steve Harris . It features three tracks whose running time exceeds 10 minutes each.

For "Senjutsu" — loosely translated as "tactics and strategy" — the band once again enlisted the services of Mark Wilkinson to create the spectacular Samurai-themed cover artwork, based on an idea by Harris .

"Senjutsu" bowed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, charting higher than even the band's early classics like "Powerslave" and "The Number Of The Beast" . Nearly 90 percent of the LP's 64,000 equivalent album units earned came from pure album sales. The critically acclaimed double album debuted one place higher than 2015's "The Book Of Souls" and 2010's "The Final Frontier" , which both peaked at No. 4.

"Senjutsu" was MAIDEN 's 13th album to top in the Top 40 in the U.S.

Back...with The Future! Iron Maiden: The Future Past Tour

Following their spectacular performances this year at the recent Power Trip Festival in California, in Western Canada and throughout Europe, iconic British band  IRON MAIDEN  will be returning to the United States and Canada with  THE FUTURE PAST TOUR  next year  with a stop at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Tickets will be available starting with an exclusive IRON MAIDEN fan club presale beginning on Tuesday, October 31. The general on-sale will begin on Friday, November 3   at 10 am on wellsfargocenterphilly.com . The Iron Maiden tour adds Phoenix date in 2024. Here's how to get tickets to the concert

I conic British heavy metal veterans Iron Maiden have added a Phoenix date to the North American leg of the Future Past Tour, playing Footprint Center on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, with Mongolian metal greats the Hu.

No further shows will be announced for North America.

The Hu issued a statement saying, “Iron Maiden is the master of the masters of rock music. They are one of the biggest inspirations to us! The way that they create and perform their music is majestic and we still remember the first time we heard their ‘Trooper’ song and felt the deep energy behind each word.”

The Future Past Tour, which features songs from Maiden’s latest studio release, “Senjutsu,” and 1986’s seminal “Somewhere in Time” alongside other fan favorites, played to more than 750,000 fans at more than 30 sold-out shows across Europe in the summer of 2023.

They also played Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver alongside their highly praised appearance at California’s Power Trip Festival in October, which had Consequence raving “Iron Maiden set the bar high at Power Trip” and The Desert Sun saying they “delivered a hard-hitting performance to open the festival on a high note."

The tour features one of the most spectacular stage productions of Maiden’s career.
