This is a guided Punta Cana Jeep tour but you’re in the driver’s seat.

And where are you driving to? Glad you asked…

A rural countryside… You’ll visit local towns and see how many Dominicans live in their rural environment. Going off-road, you’ll travel through sugar cane and rice fields where we’ll stop to learn the process of making and harvesting cacao (chocolate), coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, and cigars. You can even take some home as a souvenir!

On to the mountains… Taking a combination of dirt and partially paved roads, you’ll journey deep into the rural countryside where you’re sure to see livestock, fisherman, and plenty of locals just enjoying their daily lives. We culminate in the foothills of the Cordillera Oriental Mountain Range with green foliage and palm trees as far as the eye can see. 

Lunch at the ranch… We’ll also stop along the way at a scenic local ranch where you can ride horses, do a little zip line and of course have lunch! A typical Dominican spread of rice, beans, meat, salad and fresh juices.

Put her in park at the beach… Finally, you’ll end up at the renowned Macao Beach in northern Punta Cana. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the ocean and some simple Caribbean beach time.

Awesome Time! If you only have to do one tour while in Punta Cana, this would be the only tour you’ll need. My husband and I absolutely LOVED the 4×4 Jeep Safari. It was an incredible, fun day and we enjoyed every second of it. Don’t hesitate on this one. It far exceeded our expectations. The guides are amazing people and made it so much fun. There was more education than expected when we visited Cristian’s home and it was really interesting learning about local plants and fruits and learning and tasting the steps of coffee and chocolate making. The horseback riding and ziplining were amazing, safe and were for all age/fitness levels. You don’t have to climb any rickety trees or cliffs, as there are stairs! They took photos the whole time and posted them to their facebook page and we can download them for free. That was an unexpected surprise that we REALLY appreciated. Lunch on the beach was wonderful. There was more road driving than we expected, but the roads are not very busy and it was easy. I would not normally be comfortable driving in a developing nation, but it was easy and the group stays together. It was worth every penny and I would recommend this tour to anyone. I loved that they keep it as a smaller group. We had 13 people total….our group consisted of teenagers to grandparents and everyone had a blast!

We went on an all day Jeep Safari that we booked before we arrived to Punta Cana. There were 4 of us and they came directly to our hotel and picked us up in the Jeep we would be driving all day. This experience was the best experience by far on our trip to the Dominican Republic. Our first time out of the country and exploring another culture. The trip was an all day excursion which brought us through a typical day in the life of a Dominican. They shared with us how important it is for them to start off with some herbal tea and good breakfast that comes straight from their own cattle and crops. We got to taste some tea, cocoa and coffee fresh from the beans they grew. Then we were off driving through small towns to a horse ranch where we experienced not only horse back riding but zip lining over a river and banana trees. There we had a delicious pasta lunch. After lunch we were off to the cigar making. This was really neat to experience. I have never seen so many cigars before. We were greeted immediately by a man holding a box full of cigars in I think 7 or 8 different flavor to choose from. He lit them for us and we were off to the cigar factory. There were two workers there who rolled these cigars to perfection faster than you could blink. It was amazing! They had a large store to buy cigars from too. After that we went to the beach to have another meal. The beach was beautiful! It was very private and intimate. They served us fried chicken, white rice, bean sauce and platations. It was absolutely delicious. It was time to go home after that and I do have to say I didn’t want it to end. The staff was full of energy and educated us the whole time during the trip. We felt like family and that we belonged there. We know a whole lot more about the island and culture too. Nothing that we have done comes close to this experience. If you are thinking about visiting the island I highly suggest this excursion, you won’t regret it!

We just got back from our week vacation to DR and loved it all. We pre-booked all of our excursions with Punta Cana tours, even our airport transfer. Everything was fantastic. The drivers for the airport travel were on time every time and always helped with our luggage. They were also extremely friendly. The first excursion we went on was a Jeep Safari Tour. I cannot even say how amazing it was. We got to go out into the country and see how the people actually live and felt safe the entire time. It included a coffee plantation with tastings, horse back riding, ziplining, a cigar factory where we got to roll our own cigars, a beach stop and the best guides anyone could have asked for. We learned so much by going on this tour and had a blast doing it.

We really enjoyed this excursion. It packs so many things into one day. First, we visited a local rancher, and got to see how coffee, coconut oil, and cocoa are produced. There is delicious samples to try. Next, we went to a place where you horseback ride for about 20 minutes and zip line. I’ve never zip lined before and loved it! They fed us what they called a snack (plate of spaghetti) and we headed for the cigar company. There you get to roll your own cigar to bring home. Last, we went to Macoa beach for a traditional meal and swimming. We packed all of this into 6-7 hours. It was a great way to experience the Dominican.

Lots of FUN! We went on the Just Safari Jeep Tour with Anya, Marco and Micky as our guides. We had a GREAT time! This was by far one of the best excursions we have EVER been on. The Jeep Wrangler is a vehicle of our choice. It is commonly associated with freedom and exploration. Jeep Wranglers can be regularly seen traversing creeks and climbing steep hills. This rugged vehicle has a past that is just as rugged as its looks and reputation – the current Jeep is descended from the ‘Jeep’ used during World War II.

They were small utility vehicles designed to cover rugged terrain. One of the Jeep’s most distinctive features is its front grill. The slotted grills were introduced by Ford as a cheap and light option for the vehicle. As well as being quick and easy to make, it also allowed for efficient air flow into the engine. This meant the vehicle was ideal for hot climates, such as jungles where it was commonly deployed. In 1987, Chrysler entered with the Jeep Wrangler, which was an update on the earlier civilian models. With improved handling and some cosmetic changes, the Jeep Wrangler became a popular car.

The multiple generations of the Jeep Wrangler have all maintained ability of the original vehicle to cover any type of terrain, in any weather. Today, the Jeep is happy to dive into rivers and tackle muddy trails, but is also happy to cruise around town tackling nothing more strenuous than speed humps. Start our Tour by driving your own jeep along the coast road from Punta Cana to Miches, in the northeast of the island.

The first stop will be in a sugarcane plantation where you can see how most Haitians survive with this hard and exhausting work.

After varied tours in the rural areas of the countryside where the line of highest hills begins, enjoy the incredible experience of horse riding in the great surroundings of this island.

Ride your own horse through the beautiful scenic landscape in the Tropical countryside.

Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden before. You will not be the only one and the tour is designed for beginners, children and all levels of experience. (Young children can ride with their parents or with our guides)

It is an equestrian getaway for everyone.

Continue your way to the village of Anamuya and observe the way of life of people in rural areas as they pass through their villages and you will have many opportunities to take pictures of their small typical Caribbean houses.

Participate in the “off road” route of almost 2 km, where you can demonstrate your skill in bad roads to reach the “Atabeyra Ranch”, where you can relax while enjoying a delicious Caribbean-style buffet.

Visiting this ranch is a great opportunity to walk in the backyard garden where you can observe the cocoa and coffee plantation and attend the old way of preparing organic coffee with free tasting.

The typical country house is also available to our guests on the site. There you will see inside the typical house of the Dominican people and take photos of the contents of the house.

After lunch, we will take the short road to the Tirolina ranch, where you can enjoy this great experience.

This fun Zip-line experience will satisfy anyone’s sense of adventure, with unparalleled panoramic views of the Tropical Forest; You will experience speeds that will induce you to smile while traveling along a series of 4 zip lines suspended above beautiful tropical vegetation.
