It’s time to “get down tonight.”

Legendary disco group KC and the Sunshine Band are touring all over North America from June through December this year on their ’50th Anniversary Tour.’

Along the way, the “Shake Shake Shake (Your Booty)” band will make two stops in New Jersey .

First, they’ll perform at New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning on July 29.

Five months later, they’ll close their tour at Englewood’s Bergen Performing Arts Center on Dec. 8.

And they’ll be trotting out the hits.

Based on our findings on Set List FM , KC and co. will likely play “Boogie Shoes,” “That’s The Way (I Like It),” and “I’m Your Boogie Man” at the show of your choosing.

Coming up in 2023, KC and The Sunshine Band will be touring extensively across America celebrating their 50th anniversary. The 7-city journey kicks off May 5th in Lake Delton and runs into July making additional stops in New Buffalo, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Beaver Dam, Nashville and Whitehouse Station. Also during the year, the group will be heading over to South America and Europe for additional performances.

UPDATE: Tour dates have been extended through the remainder of the year and into 2024 visiting other cities like Atlantic City, Englewood, Charles Town, Costa Mesa, Rancho Mirage, Rochester, Reading, Hershey, Lincoln, Nashville and Louisville.

For the last five decades, KC and The Sunshine Band have been entertaining fans all over the world while performing their timeless classics including 'That's The Way (I Like It)' , 'Get Down Tonight' and '(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty' . Their latest studio album 'A Sunshine Christmas' was released on October 26th, 2018 via their own Sunshine Sounds label. The Miami-based group currently consists of thirteen members and is lead by singer-songwriter Harry Wayne Casey who formed the band in 1974.

KC and the Sunshine Band appeared on the Pop / Rock scene with the release of the album 'KC And The Sunshine Band' released on December 13, 1994. The single 'Get Down Tonight' immediately became a hit and made KC and the Sunshine Band one of the fastest growing artists at that moment. Later on, KC and the Sunshine Band came out with the hugely beloved album 'Greatest Hits' which contains some of the most listened to music from the KC and the Sunshine Band catalog. 'Greatest Hits' includes the single 'Sound Your Funky Horn' which has become the most requested for music lovers to enjoy during the performances. Apart from 'Sound Your Funky Horn' , a host of other songs from 'Greatest Hits' have also become requested as a result. Casey, has been in a state of constant renewal in their niche of cultural relevancy–thanks in part to their music being featured in numerous motion picture soundtracks, television shows and national advertising campaigns.

KC and The Sunshine Band formed in 1973 with one single purpose: to create instant happiness through music – and the group has done just that, topping the charts with singles including “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Get Down Tonight,” and “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” tallying worldwide sales of over 100 million, and receiving numerous awards.

In 2013, KC was honored with two distinct Lifetime Achievement Awards, made several television appearances and earned a new star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame in his home state of Florida, which accompanies his previously awarded national recognition of a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame.

KC and The Sunshine Band continue to tour heavily throughout the U.S. and internationally, as well as colaborate and appear with other superstars. Harry Wayne Casey (b.January 31, 1951) – KC for short — got his start while working at the record store at TK Records in Hialeah, FL, where he often made deliveries and completed other odd jobs, hoping to be able to spend time in the studio after hours for free. There, he met Henry Stone, and in 1973, signed a contract with TK and formed KC and The Sunshine Band”. The result was the development of a unique fusion of Caribbean, R&B and funk music dubbed the “Miami sound” – a sound that grabbed the hearts and minds of listeners and compelled them to get out of their seats and onto the dance floor!

With nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award, KC and the Sunshine Band was one of the most progressive bands of the 70s and is credited with changing the sound of modern pop music. Today, KC and the Sunshine Band play over 100 live shows annually, circling the country and playing dates regularly throughout Europe, Australia and South America. This year KC will celebrate 50 years of entertaining us, writing songs, and performing around the world and has no intention of stopping.

KC & the Sunshine Band to Perform as Part of 2023 Ultimate Disco Cruise

The band will perform a special daytime performance at 1:00pm ET.

The band will perform a special daytime performance at 1:00pm ET at the Coffee Butler Amphitheater in Key West on Sunday, February 26 while the cruise docks in Key West. The performance is presented in partnership with Ram's Head Presents.

The cruise will depart from Miami on February 25 and travel to Key West and Cozumel before returning March 2, 2023, offering music fans the ultimate immersive disco and dance music experience while onboard the luxurious Celebrity Summit, all set to a nonstop groovin' soundtrack, with over 40 live performances, Studio 55 DJ sets, artist panels, dance lessons and contests and much more.

The 2023 lineup already includes a stellar array of dance music icons who have kept fans dancing for decades, including Kool & The Gang, Billy Ocean, Taylor Dayne, Sister Sledge, Tavares, Norma Jean Wright & Luci Martin (formerly of Chic), Evelyn "Champagne" King, Heatwave, The Trammps featuring Earl Young, Al McKay's Earth, Wind and Fire Experience, C+C Music Factory, France Joli, Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical, Maxine Nightingale, Boogie Wonder Band, Bee Gees Gold and many more.
