Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street Experience

This pedestrian promenade in Downtown Las Vegas is the heart of “old Vegas”, where the original casinos are still located to this day. Taking a walk down the Fremont Street Experience is like being immersed in a totally insane circus. In our opinion it’s one of the most Vegas experiences you can have in Vegas
so it’s not to be missed.

The promenade is lined with the neon lights of vintage casinos and tacky souvenir stores. Bizarre street performers move amongst the crowd (one of them is a grown man wearing a diaper). The Slotzilla zipline whizzes above your head, and this is all under a canopy of the largest LED screen in the world displaying spectacular light shows.

Ultimate Las Vegas Travel Guide: Insider Tips and Must-See Attractions!

The zipline underneath the LED canopy over Fremont Street. This area is between 4 Queens and Fremont Casino.

If you’re coming to Las Vegas and are searching for tips and activities to do while here, Fremont Street Experience is here to help with our Las Vegas travel tips. Whether you’re seeking day trips to leave the glitz and glamor for a few hours or want a real Las Vegas Experience by riding the  zipline  across all of Fremont Street, we have you covered with our top five Las Vegas tips.

Book your zipline experience .

You don’t have to choose a cheap hotel far from the action to get an excellent price for your room. Do your research, and explore  downtown hotels  to find budget-friendly deals.

Also, make the most of your mealtimes by exploring buffets or exploring our tips on  creating a food and drink budget  when visiting Sin City.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

Don’t let Google Maps fool you. Destinations will appear closer than they are by foot, so make sure you wear sensible shoes. Whether you’re hopping from casino to casino or need to get to your next location to catch an event, you’ll be on your feet a lot.

Las Vegas hotels are also quite large, so even if you’re just walking the casino floor, you’ll still be on your feet sometimes!

Plan ahead and find comfortable footwear so you don’t regret it later.

Consider Weather

Depending on the season, Las Vegas temperatures can range, but with more than  300 days of sunshine every year , expect it to be hot.

Be sure to carry water with you. Las Vegas heat is no joke, and you can quickly become dehydrated, especially if you’re drinking alcohol. Also, take a light sweater or jacket with you. To combat the Vegas heat, casinos like to keep it cold, so you might end up chilly if you’re inside too long.

Make sure you check the weather report for your specific trip so you can plan accordingly.

You can get off the beaten path and explore nature outside Las Vegas if you want a break from the excitement. You can even  rent an ATV  or RZR and ride in Eldorado Canyon!

There are also plenty of things to do within traveling distance, so you can escape into nature for a few hours and still catch a show at night! If you don’t have your own vehicle, you can always rent a car or take a guided tour.

Sight-seeing activities within driving distance:

  • Red Rock Canyon
  • Grand Canyon

Must-See Attractions

There’s so much to do in Las Vegas. Whether you want a fast-paced vacation or to slow it down a bit, there’s an activity for everyone. First on our must-see attractions list is Slotzilla, the world’s largest slot machine that doubles as a launch pad for an epic zipline ride over the downtown crowds.

After flying over the crowd, stay for a  Viva Vision  light show that happens every night on the hour, starting at 6:00 p.m. and continuing until 2:00 a.m. With dazzling lights and musical acts featured in each show, it’s a truly immersive experience you’ll never forget.

Las Vegas is known for its gaming. Soak up Las Vegas history and check out some vintage games like the Sigma Derby horse racing game and antique slots at  the D . Or explore Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, the oldest casino in Las Vegas.

Lastly, you won’t want to miss the  Neon Museum  and your chance to see a complete collection of Las Vegas historical neon lights.

Book a Zipline or Zoomline at Slotzilla

The zipline underneath the LED canopy over Fremont Street. This area is between 4 Queens and Fremont Casino.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly experience you can only do in Vegas, SlotZilla is your answer. SlotZilla is an 11-story slot machine-inspired zipline attraction and is one of the best things to do in Las Vegas.

Our Slotzilla ziplines come with safety equipment, so you don’t have to bring anything but yourself! We also offer a handy accessory bag so you can stow your belongings, and they’ll travel with you!

On the Zip-Zilla, guests fly seated, and the ride goes halfway down the Fremont Street Experience to the landing platform between the Four Queens and Fremont casinos.

On the upper Superhero Zoom, guests lie face down and fly superhero-style all the way down to the Golden Gate casino.

Both lines provide a different experience, so splurge and fly on both!

Maybe Saturday.....

I don't think you'll miss anything either day, maybe less drunks on Sunday.

las vegas night bus tour with fremont street experience

There's a series of Friday concerts in April if that could be worked into the plan instead?

Street Performers are universally terrible IMHO.

las vegas night bus tour with fremont street experience

That said, Sunday will be quieter than Saturday, but there should still be bands on the stages and the light show will be going on.

Very few of the street performers are much more than costumed or mostly naked characters shilling for exorbitant tips for photos. The days of street performers like Carl "Safe Sax" Ferris seem to be gone.

Thank you so much. We're in town Sat-Tues. It sounds like Sunday might be a good day for us.
